    Eggs n Bacon TO GO!!

https://laguarecitarestaurant.com/menu This place seems to be a little hidden in the corner of Katyland but, I wanted to give them a BIG SHOUT OUT! Their breakfast plates are YUMMY! This LOCAL, FAMILY OPERATED Place said they'd be a shelter for people when the weather was crazy... if we're starting to get back into the "rhythm of things", I don't us to forget about the Mom n Pop places like this when times got tough. I like the Huevos Con Tocino (Eggs with Bacon) so, that's what you're seeing below. And, if you do DuoLingo where you're teaching yourself another language - me too. Hit me up to be friends so, we can do "streaks" while we work on our mind muscles. #Katy #local #FamilyOwned

Sad. Sad that I didn't discover this place sooner! I'm in love with the street tacos! My top two faves: Pastor and Tripa!! So yummy, and loaded with onions and cilantro. Next, coffee. Hear me out. If you're a coffee drinker, you have to try theirs. I like mine black, but you add whatever your heart desires. There's a hint of cinnamon/cardamom that makes you go "Hmm, this is good!!" It's a mild taste, but the aromas will make you wanna refill! I've been here three times. Each time I get the same friendly server, Dannie, (not sure on spelling of her name) but she is super awesome! She is very diligent in taking orders, recommendations, and checking in to make sure everything is good during the meal. Tacos so yummy, you'll be coming here all days of the week! I'll have to try the other menu items, but as of now, I'm addicted to their tacos. PS- If you're a boogie bathroom b*tch like me, you can skip the baño here lol. It's... not pretty.

This food was incredible! We were back and forth on where we wanted to eat, and stumbled upon this place online. When we pulled up we thought it was closed and we almost left - so glad we didn't! Interior was as expected for a small restaurant. The lady who sat us and took our order was extremely nice and helpful with suggestions. She brought us chips and multiple salsas, and even made a super spicy one for us upon our request. Love a good variety of salsas :) The food... the food... the food!!! It was so flavorful and everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Portions were perfect, definitely leaning on the "larger portions" side so you definitely won't leave hungry! Highly recommend trying a variety of tacos - and just about anything else on the menu! Can't wait to go back!

    Great food and great service.

The food is on point!! Great prices. I got the fajita burrito and it is one of the better authentic ones in Katy area. Not with cheese and chili but one you would get off a taco truck! Drool worthy. We also ordered a torta which was also amazing. The only reason I took 1 off is because I ordered a small guacamole and sour cream to put on my burrito and they charged me $5.99 for the guacamole and $1.99 for a tiny serving of sour cream. ‍ Also I am not a fan of the chips and salsa, but the red sauce they bring out with tacos and the burrito is amazing. Be ready for some spice. Did I mention the burrito was only 7.99

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food and tired of all the Tex-mex restaurants, come here! Doesn't look like much from the outside but don't let it fool you. It's actually a large space with lots of tables and booths. Everything we ordered was made fresh and tasted DELICIOUS. I myself ordered the beef enchiladas (flour tortillas) with the red sauce. Oh woooow, so good. I felt like I was back in California. Some other great dishes were the torta sandwiches, fried tilapia and cheese quesadilla. And the creamy green avocado sauce!!! Fire. Hidden gem, I highly recommend this spot!

Went there for first time. The street taco was great. The flour tortillas were homemade and perfect. However the Menudo needed help. For 12.99 you get more than enough. However the flavor was just not there. Regarding drinks. Cokes are 1.25 for 12 oz cans. Not sure about going back for menudo.

I happened to be in Katy and was craving tacos. Went here and will definitely be back! Great service, great food, and the workers were attentive to my needs. Friendly too!

    Menudo and Tripas tacos! Yummy!

Good Tripas tacos, good menudo which is served all the time and just not on the weekends. I usually go for lunch and its never really that crowded although they have a steady stream of take-out orders. Fast, reasonable, clean, good - all that you need in your neighborhood taqueria.

I only have gone once, I was looking for something yummy but on a budget. I ended up getting the burrito with fajita meat and for the price it wasvery delicious! There was a generous portion of tomatoes and lettuces in comparison to fajita meat butt once again, for the price? I thought it was great! It's a cute little restaurant tucked into the corner of E 5th St and Katyland Dr. The map says a different name so don't get confused but the actual signage is correct. I definitely will be back to try out some Caldo de Res or perhaps a breakfast option in the future

After living in Houston for…read more15 years and dining all over the city, this was by far the most disappointing restaurant experience we've had. What made it even more frustrating is that we've been to the Cypress location many times, and every single visit there has been exceptional -- great food, great service, and consistently enjoyable. Unfortunately, the La Centerra location was the complete opposite. We waited over an hour for our food, only to receive the wrong appetizer. The fajita plate arrived cold and without rice, beans, or tortillas. We sent both dishes back. The replacement appetizer -- ceviche tostadas -- finally arrived, but it was overloaded with lemon to the point of being unbearably sour. Meanwhile, there were still no tortillas, rice, or beans in sight. No drink refills, no updates, and barely any service during the entire wait. After another long stretch of waiting, we finally asked the server what was happening, only for her to return and tell us the kitchen was closing and they no longer had tortillas, rice, or beans available. At that point, after nearly 1.5 hours, we walked out with nothing but a to-go box of fajita meat. To the manager's credit, they removed the appetizer and fajita charges from the bill, but the experience itself left such a bad taste that it completely overshadowed the gesture. Extremely disappointing, especially compared to the excellent standards we've experienced at the Cypress location. Sadly, we will not be returning to this location.

Dom is such a bright cheery presence and its authentic; as well as the other bar staff that brings chips, salsa & waters!! Even the hostess (no matter which of the two we've seen) is genuine about their greetings. It's a comfortable atmosphere! They decorated for Christmas - another huge bonus for me Last night, we got a marg (obviously!) and a Shrimp Botana Mix but since we have different preferences on the fried vs bacon-wrapped shrimp, yes I'm the weirdo that doesn't care for bacon, Dom suggested 2 of each to make us both happy. It hit the spot! Perfect portion to share, filled us up. It's my favorite appetizer- some nachos, quesadillas, shrimp, guac, flautas ... you get it all I'm really not sure why this place does bot have more stars !

The server came and greeted us and took our drink order and appetizer order. We were off to a good start. I am not sure how the sections were laid out but the restaurant wasn't packed. Our drinks were delivered and then there was a longer than expected wait to place our entrees order. The server finally came back answering our questions and took our entrees order. When the guacamole was delivered to our table, we had to asked for small plates. And then we had to ask for small plates... we finally got small plates. I am guessing the manager was visiting tables and brought us a couple of hot tortillas... I thought he was going to make small talk with us but he didn't. Our entrees were delivered to the table, one order was missing ranchero beans, so we asked for ranchero beans and the server asked if it was ok to bring out another set of rice and beans. To which was replied, yes. Another dinning companion asked for another fork because the fork was dirty. The server said ok. Then we asked for the beans and the fork. Then we asked for the beans and the fork. The server replied the forks are up front and she went up front and brought back the wrapped flatware set. Then we waited.. the server came by and asked if we need refills then brought the refills and we asked about the beans. The server walked away. And then came back with the beans. 2 observations, 1. why did the server always reach across the table to serve people plates instead of walking to the other side of the table? 2. Why did the server never apologize for forgetting things we asked for? The service just went downhill, I don't expect perfection but I do hope for courtesy service. Maybe it is time for more training. The food... The guacamole was very good. The chips were crispy, nice crunch and held up to the guacamole. The chicken enchiladas with mole sauce was meh. The chicken did not have a lot of flavor. Too bad the chicken wasn't cooked in the sauce or braised in the sauce. Disappointed.
