    Pozole

This is our little hidden gem! Although there are other locations, this one does not disappoint. It's so homey and everyone is so attentive. We've eaten there and have taken it to go and the delicious factor doesn't change! If you try it on the weekend get the pozole, it doesn't disappoint. The gorditas are freshly made and not too soft or too crispy, the aguas frescas are perfectly fruity and refreshing in any flavor I've tried. Muy delicioso y siempre es un ambiente familiar y muy atentos con todos. El pozole está deli deli!

This review is for las llardas on Morton rd Dont come here it's not worth it trust me I've eaten at 100 Mexican restaurants/ taquerias and this one by far is the most expensive and has the poorest customer service . Food isn't worth the money . I can find 10 places with cheaper prices and better quality food

Shredded chicken taco on flour and pozole.

First time here. I wanted caldo de res, but it wasn't on the menu. I ordered pozole and I enjoyed it. It had a good amount of meat and was a little spicy. Normally. I would expect corn tortillas or tostadas to come with this soup. This didn't, so I ordered a shredded chicken taco on flour. The taco was pretty dry and not flavorful. I cannot recommend it. I had an horchata and it was weak and chalky. I would still return for the pozole and try a different taco and agua fresca.

Not only is the torta cubana bigger than my face, but it was also fully loaded with all the meats. The tripa was slightly crunchy - I like mine super crunchy so next time I'm gonna ask for it to be cooked longer. Definitely will be returning to try their huaraches as well!

A special shoutout to Ulises, who made our experience exceptional. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and fast without ever making us feel rushed. Since it was our first time visiting, they even surprised us with complimentary corn on the cob, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was outstanding and came out surprisingly quickly. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. My husband was also impressed by the attention to detail throughout the restaurant--even the restroom was stocked with everything you could think of, from toothpicks to mouthwash, which was especially appreciated after enjoying all the delicious corn and black beans! It's rare to find a restaurant that combines amazing food, excellent service, and thoughtful hospitality so well. We left already talking about our next visit, and we can't wait to come back and try their margaritas. Highly recommend!

We had one of the worst dining experiences ever at Ambriza La Centerra. After living in Houston for…read more15 years and dining all over the city, this was by far the most disappointing restaurant experience we've had. What made it even more frustrating is that we've been to the Cypress location many times, and every single visit there has been exceptional -- great food, great service, and consistently enjoyable. Unfortunately, the La Centerra location was the complete opposite. We waited over an hour for our food, only to receive the wrong appetizer. The fajita plate arrived cold and without rice, beans, or tortillas. We sent both dishes back. The replacement appetizer -- ceviche tostadas -- finally arrived, but it was overloaded with lemon to the point of being unbearably sour. Meanwhile, there were still no tortillas, rice, or beans in sight. No drink refills, no updates, and barely any service during the entire wait. After another long stretch of waiting, we finally asked the server what was happening, only for her to return and tell us the kitchen was closing and they no longer had tortillas, rice, or beans available. At that point, after nearly 1.5 hours, we walked out with nothing but a to-go box of fajita meat. To the manager's credit, they removed the appetizer and fajita charges from the bill, but the experience itself left such a bad taste that it completely overshadowed the gesture. Extremely disappointing, especially compared to the excellent standards we've experienced at the Cypress location. Sadly, we will not be returning to this location.

Enjoyed the margaritas and excellent customer service from Katie. She expertly managed multiple tables, including an 8 top with ease and a smile. The restaurant was pretty busy since it was graduation week. I ordered the ground beef soft tacos with a side of black beans. My friends had the Marisco Bowl and a platter. Management was helping out and delivered our food. All the food items were hot and plentiful. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Multiple members of management stopped by to check and see how we were doing and to chat briefly to make sure we were having a good experience.

Our fajita meat today was old, and smelled off. We requested medium but it came beyond gray, and zero char- it was sweaty. This showed up within four minutes. The rice was dried out. The beans were, too. As I said- two thirds of the time is great. Sometimes bad visits happen. Then comes the annoying dance: I do *not* want a manager. I sure didn't need an argument (!) from the server about cooking theory. Not looking for free food. We were very hungry and now have to go find another restaurant. We paid and we left. All done. No desire to keep playing roulette with which experience we can expect, and the server pushback was the kicker. You'll be fine without us.
