Lozano's is a wonderful family-run business where the service is truly personal-the son was our waiter and provided excellent, helpful service. Our go-to meal is the chicken and shrimp; it's incredibly authentic and packed with flavor. While they don't serve traditional Salvadoran tortillas, our waiter was happy to accommodate my request for extra rice instead. The food arrived quickly, though the chips and salsa weren't quite to my taste as I personally prefer a thicker chip. Highly recommended for a high-quality, authentic Salvadoran meal. I made reservations for a group of women & the process was very easy. I received quickly confirmation and communication was top notch the whole time. Jose made sure that our table was set up & ready. We were able to order quickly and received our drinks right away. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food-crisp tortilla chips, great enchiladas, tasty quesadillas, & yummy burritos. I visited Lozano's yesterday. Bad experience. Out of most Mexican beer. They literally have Pacifico signage at the door but out of it on a Saturday no less. Of course I said something about this and giving them a bad review. The hostess was bothered and said go ahead with attitude. At that point is when a restaurant should make it up to you. Offer a drink on the house, appetizer, etc. Server finally brought the drinks for my kids and practically the ONLY Mexican beer they did have (Modelo). We ordered a build a guacamole and it was totally container guac NOT fresh. Chips were stale. Server took forever to come back to take our order. By this point we were disgusted and paid for what we had. We were scared of getting sneezed on our food. No tip. I was gonna leave a couple bucks. They didn't even have change for $20!! Geeze! Well we made the commute out to Katy to try a new family owned restaurant that we heard about. The decor was very nice and the restaurant was very cleaned. Tables were bussed quickly and it was very family friendly. The owner of the restaurant actually took our order himself. He greeted everyone at our table and made some suggestions for us. I was a little conflicted on what I wanted because I didn't see it on the menu and ya know what, he made it happen. Even gave me my own created sauce. I trusted his judgement and it worked out great. Now I did have 2 things that I was not as excited about but it could be just me. I didn't care for the salsa, it seemed and little thin and a strong taste of cumin. The second thing was the queso. It lacked some flavor and to me tasted just like melted cheese. But there again he explained to us they have a different way and a different style which I can appreciate them doing it differently. The fajita chicken enchiladas were on point. The chicken was seasoned perfectly. We had 4 of us at our table and we all had something different. The churro's were amazing and served with a dollop of ice cream. Great ending to the meal. If you're in the area stop by and see for yourself. You might just find your new spot to eat. read more

Lozano's continues to knock it out of the park with their service and delicious food. We stopped in for a late lunch on our way back from Austin. We were warmly greeted immediately at the front door and promptly seated in our favorite booth. We ordered the amazing beef fajitas and the biggest margaritas that I've ever seen! I don't know what kind of beef Jose uses for the fajitas, but they're consistently the most tender, flavorful fajitas we've ever had. Try their $50 family takeout special. read more

The restaurant has a good ambiance. It's nicely decorated and is clean. It wasn't busy for a Sunday afternoon. They had a wide variety of items on the menu. They brought out the chips and salsa. The salsa was very watery and chips very thin. I would suggest that you get explanation from the waitress on items on the menu, the reason being I ordered tacos and it came drenched in queso sauce. Hello Friends. I'll start by saying that the food was very good. No complaints there. The ambience was slightly more upscale but indicative of Mexican restaurant decor. It was pretty empty for a rather large place. There were only two other couples in the entire restaurant at the peak of lunch hour. Regardless, if you choose Lozano's to enjoy some Mexican fare, you must beware. Something Shady goes on there. Let me explain... My friend and I, thoroughly engaged, scoured over the menu, lavishing the thought of the scrumptious meal we're about to indulge in. We decided on the beef and shrimp fajitas for 2, which included delicious sides of spanish rice, refried beans, guacamole, Pico de gallo and of, tortillas. On their menu, this entree was $45.95. It seemed like a fair price so, we went for it. And I'll tell you what, we were not disappointed one bit at all. The fajitas were full of flavor. The shrimp, perfectly cooked. The buttery sauce was icing on the cake. And the presentation, made you want to just dig in. We devoured almost every morsel. This is the Shady part of the review. The check comes, and I pull out my credit card to pay. The server, which was likely the owner or manager, because he was the only one there. He took my payment and brought the bill back for my signature. I took another look at the bill and instead of charging us the $45.95 for the fajita platter, we were charged $52.95 for the meal. When the server, manager or owner guy, came to pick the payment, I pointed out that we were over charged. He replied, no, it's right. He said that fajitas for one is $26.95 and for two, it's double, so the price is correct. His math was wrong. Regardless, I pointed out that on their physical menu, the price for that entree is $45.95. He quickly replied that the price he charged us was correct and that it was just a small mistake. It's no big deal. And maintained that the $7 extra he was charging us was correct. The price on the menu is just a small mistake. It's not the correct price he said. I of course said to him that the menu price should be the price you charge. He continued with the "It's a small mistake". And "it's no big deal." Rather than ruin my day to squabble over $7, I paid the bill. I even gave him a tip for the service. And we went our merry way. I felt compelled to write this review since We will unlikely go back to Lozano's, despite the good food they serve. There are a lot of choices these days for really good Mexican food. We'll spend our money elsewhere. I wanted to let everyone know that If you decide to spend your money at Lozano's, and dine there, Just Beware. And asked them how much they're really going to charge you for your meal. Because the prices on the menu is only an estimate apparently. Review your bill carefully. They are Shiesty. read more

It's honestly incredibly hard to find a good Mexican restaurant in Katy Texas surprisingly but I think I have found my favorite restaurant yet. Lozanos service was amazing. The guy who greeted us at the front was incredibly nice and was really quick to get our drinks. I had the beef enchilada and it was full of flavor. It was incredibleand the atmosphere was great! The food and drinks are average at best. Our server was a really sweet girl. But with Los Cucos and Alicias nearby there's honestly no reason to try this place. I will not be coming back. Furthermore this restaurant has some weird practices. We called before, separately, inquiring about Cinco de Mayo specials and were both told they would have them. I was specifically told it would be on the margs and tequila. When we got there, there wasn't a drinks special menu, we asked our server and she had no clue. She asked the bartender/manager and they said ALL the margaritas were on specials. I asked her how much off, 50 percent? And she said yes. When the check came we were charged regular price. When we asked to speak to the guy about it. He said the margaritas we chose weren't on the special. We went back and forth with him about the lying and he ended up giving us two dollars off. I don't really care about the price but the principle. It was a very odd encounter. They're kinda sketchy so I wouldn't risk coming here. read more

This place is by far one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to now several times in Katy. The owner takes pride in his service, hospitality and food quality. The chicken Daniel he will replace with the steak if you want and let me tell you. It's the most tender and tasty steak! You get a great portion too. Not over the top but just right. We ordered the shrimp and mushrooms, the Carne Asada and the fresh guacamole. This is our second time here and it has been superb every time . Our server was attentive, and give great advice on food . I highly suggest ordering both these items and the flan churros are awesome.. This is a hidden gem , if they can keep up the food, quality and service there will be a line rapped around the block. I have had very few restaurants that I would give an absolute five star, but this was amazing. The best description I could get it would be as good or better than a Churrasco steak at the name brand restaurant in Houston for about half the price.
