We had a great time dining here while we were out in Katy Texas area. I highly recommend you stop in for some good casual dining. It is a higher level sports bar as far as decor and menu choices. We had a nice young lady as our server, she forgot a couple things and had to be reminded but she did end up getting them for us. We split an appetizer and a burger on this trip because neither of us knew what we wanted. They have smash burgers in several different variations. The place was clean, giant TV's and the average noise level for a sports bars. They have a lot of high tops and high top booths. Please keep in mind though, there were no live games being televised at the time. I'm sure during a packed house, it would get pretty loud. It's typical bar food...drinks were not fantastic but kinda went in with that impression -its a beer joint style The place is huge inside and spaced out so you are not over crowded which i like. Huge wrap around bar area so I'm sure on game days its a good spot. Love that they have purse hangers on the booths!!! I got the jalapeño ranch smash-burger snd it was good! 2 patties (thicker than typical smash so I was happy with that), fried jalapeños and the fries are battered and perfect!! Me and my dad came to have a beer on mother's day. First mothersday without my mom and couldn't think of anything better to drink. I tried their cobb salad with avocado ranch. Avocado ranch was the worst avocado ranch I ever had. Chicken was cold but did have a good flavor. My dad ordered the grilled chicken with shrimp and onion rings. The onion rings weren't fully cooked and the o ions were crunchy and not soft. The better was bland and just bad. Minus the food, this is a cool place to watch games. Plenty of TVs and the service is friendly. Kind of feels like a shooters with how the waitresses were dressed. I'm so glad we decided to try this hidden gem. The restaurant is very open with sports playing on the tvs. Music is playing and everyone is super friendly. Our waitress was so awesome. She knew her items, she always smiled and checked on us the entire time. She really made this experience extra special. We decided to try the giant pretzel and it was superb! It's a must try. You will love it. We then tried the chicken fajita nachos and potato skins. The nachos were huge and full of toppings and chicken meat. Wonderful! The potato skins were so fresh. They did not skimp on the cheese and bacon. The bacon was so good! I highly recommend them. This was such a great meal, I can't want to go back. This was our first time at Boomer Jack's. We went on a Friday evening and the parking lot was packed. After driving around a while, we parked at a neighboring business (which we felt bad about). We expected there to be a wait for a table with parking that full but we were surprised to see that there were plenty of empty tables and we were seated right away. The sports atmosphere is huge with some of the biggest TVs we've seen. It seemed there was no bad seat if there was a sport you wanted to watch. With that said, it was extremely loud-we couldn't hear each other to have a conversation and our waitress wasn't loud so we had a hard time understanding her or even placing our order. With that said, the food was quite good. I had the Texan flat bread, which had brisket and bbq sauce-and it was big enough for 2 meals. My son had the Triple B, which he loved-it was so tall he could barely bite it. My husband had the Chicken and Shrimp combo which wasn't outstanding, but he said it was good for a healthier option. It was a bit of a drive and I'm not sure we'd make a special trip to go there again, but good food and service-we'd recommend if you are in the area and are looking for a fun sports restaurant. read more

Boomerjack has been on my list for a while and I got invited to meet a few friends there to watch one of the NFL games. It is very large and has it seems 100 TVs. I did order their wings and they were very good and I had a few drinks and they were strong. Also, there's lots of seating two sides with a bar in the middle. They also have an outside patio that's covered with Astroturf and looks like they have a corn-hole that is available. The only thing that could be a negative is parking seems to be limited so get there early. Your prices seem very reasonable and you can reserve tables as my friends did. I don't know what the procedure is, but I think there is a deposit that you pay go check them out. read more

Unfortunately, our first visit was disappointing. There was no one at the host stand, so we sat at the bar. Despite several bartenders repeatedly walking past us, it took about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. After finally getting drinks and an appetizer, we basically became Yetis--apparently rumored to exist, but no one was particularly interested in finding us. We watched the bartenders interact with other guests and look at each other's phones while we repeatedly tried to get someone's attention. TV's everywhere. Large parking lot with plenty of close parking. No reservations just showed up with a group of four and was seated immediately. Lots of staff but not many customers yet. Group had cheeseburgers, shrimp platter, Cobb salad and enchilada platter. Everyone seemed to scarf it down rather quickly. Sweet tea was good. Service was also good. I know they're veggies, but some salt and pepper (which wasn't on the table) would go a long way lol. What a cool atmosphere! Definitely a sports bar!! I ordered the chicken wrap and a side salad and my wife had a burger. Sorry nothing special about the food here. We did see dog bowls on the patio which is nice if you want to bring your pet. Overall a 3 star place in my opinion. I asked for my salad before the meal and it came together. Waitress was nice but then it took a while to get our check. One annoying thing is some guy came by to take our dirty plates and then proceeded to clean the area with a towel. The appetizer was cold including the casket iron skillet. The wings was hot but lacked flavor . My order of nachos took 38 mins and was cold. The oil had begun to gel. We didn't complete the meal. Good place to go to watch the football games. We enjoyed it on afternoon to watch the Texans and other NFL games, so many TVs in different sizes. It was so cool. The food was meh. But I did like the sweet potato fries. They were hot and fresh. The price is normal. I just have a draft beer was fine. I forgot to take a picture of sweet potato yummy. It's a busy time on a Sunday. Big sports bar with TVs everywhere you sit. Nice patio. Open till 2am every night. It feels corporate, like Kirby's and Sam's Boat. They have very good drink prices and even better specials and happy hours. Reverse happy hour 10pm to close because this is Katy and everyone is in bed by 10. They seem to lean more towards cocktails as their specialty. Beer menu is all mainstream beers and absolutely no quality craft which is a HUGE negative. They are fully staffed and the place is busy. Rarely make it out to the burbs, but had a close friend's birthday, so I got my passport and Sherpa and made the journey. Upon entering I was almost overwhelmed at the shear number of televisions. You will not miss a play here! I was all in for a sports bar. It was crazy busy, but started to taper off as the game everyone wanted to watch was over and the Seahawks/49ers game was next (let's be honest you don't see a lot of scarlet and gold or lime and silver in the Houston area). The drink service was pretty quick for the crowd and the beer was cold. Everything was going great until the meal was to come. We had 13 people, but they had tons of tables equipped for big groups so this should not have been an issue. After about 30 minutes the food started to come out. One or two entrees at a time. Anyone who ordered chicken tenders or chicken tender based meal received their meals way after everyone else at the table had eaten. I was the absolutely last person. It was at least an hour between the first meal and my meal (buffalo chicken wrap and fries). The food was decent at best, did not taste like it had just come off the grill. When the manager came over to speak with us after the meal (we didn't call her) she was kind of snarky. You messed up and were the ones that suffered, don't give us attitude because you had a bad shift please. It is called customer recovery, not put the nail in the coffin. There are so many options in the burbs and I do not go out there often, so do not see myself going back. read more

Overall a big disappointment. We happened to be in the area, and decided to stop in for dinner. Arrival ~5:20 PM. Loud, with concrete floors and metal in abundance. Seated promptly by friendly staff member, very pleasant. Waitress arrived quickly, took our drink order and appetizer order Fried Pickles. Appetizer - Fried Pickles were soggy, and slightly underdone. Dinner - The Pepperoni Flatbread was also underdone, and needed additional time in the oven. The Chicken Wrap was not a wrap. It was soggy and falling apart upon arrival. Had to eat it as a salad instead. Dessert - The MOLTEN CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKE was actually a little better than expected. I hope that the place improves rapidly, and it will be interesting to see as time passes. The presentation good but her service excellent! Met Katrina and she was awesome as well. Second visit same experience awesome, I did request Hannah and was not disappointed.
