Rarely make it out to the burbs, but had a close friend's birthday, so I got my passport and Sherpa and made the journey. Upon entering I was almost overwhelmed at the shear number of televisions. You will not miss a play here! I was all in for a sports bar. It was crazy busy, but started to taper off as the game everyone wanted to watch was over and the Seahawks/49ers game was next (let's be honest you don't see a lot of scarlet and gold or lime and silver in the Houston area). The drink service was pretty quick for the crowd and the beer was cold. Everything was going great until the meal was to come. We had 13 people, but they had tons of tables equipped for big groups so this should not have been an issue. After about 30 minutes the food started to come out. One or two entrees at a time. Anyone who ordered chicken tenders or chicken tender based meal received their meals way after everyone else at the table had eaten. I was the absolutely last person. It was at least an hour between the first meal and my meal (buffalo chicken wrap and fries). The food was decent at best, did not taste like it had just come off the grill. When the manager came over to speak with us after the meal (we didn't call her) she was kind of snarky. You messed up and were the ones that suffered, don't give us attitude because you had a bad shift please. It is called customer recovery, not put the nail in the coffin. Overall a big disappointment. We happened to be in the area, and decided to stop in for dinner. Arrival ~5:20 PM. Loud, with concrete floors and metal in abundance. Seated promptly by friendly staff member, very pleasant. Waitress arrived quickly, took our drink order and appetizer order Fried Pickles. Appetizer - Fried Pickles were soggy, and slightly underdone. Dinner - The Pepperoni Flatbread was also underdone, and needed additional time in the oven. The Chicken Wrap was not a wrap. It was soggy and falling apart upon arrival. Had to eat it as a salad instead. Dessert - The MOLTEN CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKE was actually a little better than expected. I hope that the place improves rapidly, and it will be interesting to see as time passes. Double charged, sat for over 30 minutes without being checked on(wanted to order 2nd round and entrees) to their credit, the big boss offered to make amends after my google review, but as a long time restaurant worker, i declined. Called on Friday for Texans game and was told no reservations. Got there today at 11:50 am for table of 12. Was told we needed half our party before we can get seated. That's reasonable. Half my party got there around 12:30. Was told we'll have to wait as there are no tables. Walked out to the outside area and saw several big tables reserved. Was told some phantom manager reserved those tables for groups and no longer working there. What a load of bs. We went elsewhere. Pissed customers for life. Count your days Boomer. Unreal. First time to the Boomer Jack's in Katy. Menu has a great variety and reasonable prices. We got the trio appetizer, with potato skins, mozzarella sticks and boneless buffalo wings. Food was good and plenty of it. The hostess should be told not to chew gum though. And they could probably benefit from training their waitstaff. We asked 3 times for an additional dressing for the wings and never got it. They could also benefit from bussers, looks like waitstaff was busing their own tables and when we left we saw 4 or 5 tables still loaded with dishes. Overall, good experience. I don't usually write Yelp reviews, but Abby absolutely forced my hand (in the best way possible). From the second she walked up, the entire vibe of the sports bar upgraded. I'm talking main-character energy. Abby has gorgeous brown hair, the kind of effortless, natural beauty that makes you stop mid-sentence and think, wow, okay. Beyond looks (which, let's be honest, are elite), Abby was hands-down the best server I've had in a LONG time. She was attentive without hovering, funny without trying too hard, and somehow managed to keep the drinks flowing and the table laughing even during a packed rush. Orders were perfect, timing was flawless, and she genuinely made everyone feel like VIPs. This sports bar already has great food and a fun atmosphere, but Abby is the reason I'll be back. She's the kind of server you remember days later and tell your friends about. If you come here and don't ask for Abby, you're missing out on the full experience. Where do I start? The service was horrendous, I had to get up myself to go and get boxes because our waitress would just disappear. We waited 34 minutes just to order our food and another 30 or so minutes to get it. The food wasn't even hot, and they charged me for extra green onions on the potato skins and there still wasn't that many on there. Our friends would try to order multiple times and she would just run off only taking one order at a time. Service was non-existent. There were at least 15, I am not exaggerating, wait staff standing at the back of the restaurant chatting or staring off into space. I had joined some friends for happy hour after they had been there awhile. Entering BoomerJacks was definitely a nice vibe. The music was nice and the seating is plentiful. The hostess was attentive and we were seated very quickly. Service was okay and kind of slow but I think it was due to the restaurant being new. The prices are not insane and very reasonable. The food was actually delicious. The wagyu tasted great and my partner loved the flatbread pizza. The baked potato soup was definitely great. Ultimately I gave it three stars because nothing about this place stood out though. Great place to go eat if you're in the area but it's nothing amazing. It's a standard restaurant with drinks and food. read more

Wow! Wow! Wow! I can't believe it. This place is a hit or miss. Ever since my last review, I got better service, but today 4/29/2026 for lunch it was garbage. I went in and sat at my normal area next to the bar, there were at least 4 ladies standing at the greeting desk and I waited at least 12 minutes or so no one said anything, they sat there talking. It wasn't until my White co-worker walked up to the table that the waitress for my table came over and asked if we needed something. I don't know that if it was because of color or that she had finally finished talking about it being her damn birthday. At this point I'm pissed, and asked for a Texas special, asked what size and then when she came back, she stated that they were out of the Texas special ‍. My buddy asked for an Ultra, they were out of that. I can understand maybe running out of the Ultra, but HTH do you run out of your house beer?! Either way this was 1:30 in the afternoon how does she not know that they are out? Then you have bar tenders that are slow af, because they are busy taking selfies and talking to their buddies sitting at the bar. Finally my buddy and I got up and I said let's get the F outta here, a manager happens to walk by and ask what's going on Sir, why are you upset. We explain to him that this seems to happen all the time. Cody mention that he would fix it, but we are talking about things that shouldn't have to be fixed after the 4-6 months they have been opened and the countless days we have both been there. The staff and bartenders are amazing including my favorite GM Catrina who always makes sure everything is alright. Went there on opening day (Monday). 2 bartenders and a trainer. Trainer is there telling the bartender what to do and they still failed to bring silverware for my food and even lied about bringing it to the trainer. Salmon was over cooked and the steamed veggies were dry like it was in a dehydrator instead of steamed. Went back the next day to give them a second try. This time sitting in the dining table. 5 servers in the back area standing around no one greeted and the place is slow, like 20 tables total. so I just got up and left. I can't recommend this place to anyone anymore. We had a waitress send a picture of my friends and I to our friend baby momma who are currently fighting for custody of their child. We did not ask for the picture nor were we aware she took it. She sneaky took it and posted it online. This is the second time she has done this and we brought this up with management. Both Managers did nothing at all and told us to call ahead next time to make sure the waitress isn't working before we come. This is clearly harassment, and they tried to tell us it's not. I have names of everyone involved, my next step is corporate and having my lawyer's involved. read more
