New to the area..we never been out here before so we decided to give this bar a try. I love the set up. The porch/patio was amazing. It was my favorite part because it was kinda cold inside the establishment. There was only one bartender but it was fine because it wasn't packed or real busy to which the bartender couldn't handle it. I was sooooo happy that they had French Vanilla Ciroc man!!!!!! We ordered that with a coke, jack and coke and some crawfish and grits. We initially wanted shrimp and grits but they was out of shrimp so the only options we had was salmon or crawfish. We got 1 bowl of crawfish and grits. The drinks were very strong especially the jack and coke . When the food came out, I tasted some and it was GREAT!!! So great that I personally ordered another one lol and another French Vanilla Ciroc and Coke with a beer. It was even better the second go round lol! The attentive bar staff and good pricing specials make the place bearable. We were told the Lack of food or the full kitchen was during COVID and wasn't reopened. Another bummer is unless you've got a funny sense of humor (or a parent)- I wasn't really digging the Disney sound track of Little Mermaid and Aladdin. New owners took over and are trying but when you have to direct people to a vending machine and no drink menus. It's kind of a bummer. Me and the wife were just looking for a good cold beer. We found this place but what was a turn off was the service was terrible. I was under the impression that lots of local go here and not to friendly to new faces. The bartender finally took our order and apologized. My beer was cold and my wife's ranch was after with vodka was excellent! The service was weak and not very sanitary. If they work on those two things it would an excellent hangout. The service is absolutely awful. If you aren't one of their "regulars" you get passed up and ignored. A great place to have a drink with friends or to make new ones. I've been here a couple times now and have never been disappointed. They have a good selection of local craft beers, bourbon and snack dishes. Lots of tv's so yo can catch a game, pool table and a patio deck to enjoy the night air. The service is spectacular. Everyone seems to enjoy their job and they take good care to keep your pints full and carry on a conversation too. I wouldn't come here just for food. Not that it's bad, only because the menu is light. Nachos, quesadillas et al. Nice to compliment a No Label Ridgeback, a pint of Guinness or the like. This is a good place to bring a group for the start or finish of a night of crawling or to use as a regular meeting hole for beer and conversation. I'm coming back. read more

Came here for "goodbye" HH with coworkers. Nice spot only if you are in that area, seriously I wouldn't drive even 10 minutes to get here if it wasn't for that. It's just a regular spot imo. Our party was most of the patrons that night. So if you're right around the corner and wanna be incognito...Public House is your go to place. Had drinks, mixed/bottle, good service. Plenty of apps to go around: fried mushrooms, deviled eggs (idk who the hell ordered that but it was pretty good), hot wings, irish nachos (really messy to eat and I didn't care for the chili), and someone ordered the shepherd's pie and said it was pretty good. They should really STOP making the marinara for the mozzarella sticks. It's absolutely disgusting! Don't bother....idk who told them it was good. Very cool place to come have a drink and sit at the bar. A few TV's scattered about. A good selection of local beers. They have no label beer on tap. The bartenders and employees have always been friendly. The bar food is decent, I like the fried pickles and jalapenos. The fried mushrooms are a winner as well. The Philly cheese steak was just average. Not a 5 star restaurant but solid bar food. I like that it wasn't a smokey bar, when you leave you don't have to worry about your clothes smelling of smoke. Me and my mom decide to try this place the other night on a whim to get a quick bite for dinner. It has the typical pub style decor and low lighting. For a Wednesday night it wss decenlty inhabited with a few groups. I have to say, it was pretty average. I'll list the pros first though because there were some good things about the place. Pros: 1) Our server (who I think was also the bartender) was very nice, attentive, and helpful. She definitely tried her best to make our dinner great. She even comped us for the chicken wings we didn't eat, which was gracious, because I dislike complaining about food in a restaurant having worked in several myself. Overall the service was very good, albeit on a slow night. 2) The pulled pork was tender and well seasoned. We got it on the street tacos and the porky (which I didn't try). The corn tortillas on the tacos were a bit dry but were helped by a cilantro flavored sour cream that was tasty. 3) The fries were very good and fresh. We got some with the porky sandwich we ordered to go and I sneaked a few. They are battered fries which I love and they were delicious. Now for the cons: 1) As I stated above, we had the chicken wings we ordered comped. I am a wing fanatic and I decided to try the garlic butter flavor, but I couldn't eat these. The size on them was good and there was plenty of meat, but apparently they bake their wings instead of frying them and they came out quite soggy except for a few crispy edges. I had to peel the soggy fat off of the wings to get to the meat. Not a fan of that at all. Also, the wings appeared to me to be slightly undercooked. Not raw, but you can see what I mean in the attached picture. As I said above they were gracious enough to take these off our ticket. Save yourself the trouble and order something else instead. 2) One reason I wanted to try the place was because on Yelp I saw a picture of their onion rings. To my dismay they told us they no longer serve onion rings but now only onion strings, so we tried them anyway, and they were typical onion straws, thin and greasy. I was disappointed because the big onion rings in the picture looked so good. 3) This isn't a terrible thing for a pub or bar type place but the menu is pretty small. There isn't a whole lot of choice. It would be great to see a place like this have nightly food specials that are more than sliders or whatever. Overall, it wasn't terrible but wasn't great either. I'd probably go back, but this time I'd get the pulled pork sandwich and fries. Hope this review helps read more

Tonight we showed up and our favorite bartender, Erin, told us about the new cook and the new finger food menu. The fries are crisp, hot and seasoned very well! The chips and queso are good. More of a 3 1/2 star review. If you want the low down on the new No Label Brewery in Katy, and can't make it to the brewery itself, this is the place to go. Located in a fairly nice shopping center, and has a nice vibe. Low key pseudo Irish pub. The owner has joked that they really are not anything close to that, and it is nice to see a sense of humor. A smallish, half rectangle bar to the left as you walk in. Dark wood with some booths and tables that fill out the rest of the open room. Plenty of TV's for sports and some music playing. Calm a relaxing. The owner is friendly, and knowledgeable about local Texas beer. Besides the owner, everybody else is pretty well trained. The food menu is fairly small, a few sandwiches, burgers, fish and chips, a Reuben . Standard as it my be, the food is still good. On to the beer. They have 10 taps of good quality. Clean lines, and the three No Label beers are fresh as can be. Other than NL, they carry a few Saint Arnold, some Southern Star, and I think some Karback now. A decent bottle selection of Texas crafts, Chimay, Sierra Nevada, and Sam Smith. Overall nothing crazy, but kudos for the local Texas craft selection. A really enjoyable spot, and a place that really supports the local seen. I will be here more often. read more

We only came for drinks around 4:15 on a Thursday. We were the only ones there so we had service right away. I wasn't impressed with the beer selection so went with a peach type of drink which was good but tasted like peach carbonated water. They have dart boards and a pool table and the music was pretty good. A couple people came in while we were there and we stayed for a couple drinks. I stopped in a few months back with some friends from out of town and was pleasantly surprised to find that they had revamped the menu and maybe hired a new chef and managed to serve up some very good food. Had the pleasure of checking out Public House, the new location for Burger Monstah, and was quite impressed with the bar itself. The bartender, Martha was an absolute treat. Not only was she attentive, she was very nice, funny, and fast!! I came for the food which i know to be amazing and was not disappointed. The burger was cooked to perfection! Perfect size and absolutely delicious and loved the fries that complimented the burger. The bar itself had lots of tvs to enjoy watching and plenty of games, a pool table, darts, golden tee, and few other games to keep just about anyone entertained.
