Great food and drink prices. Small but private easy to have a conversation in. Service is really fast and attentive.

Visit was on a Friday December 5 at about noon, maybe a little after. Service was definitely one of the worst experiences I've ever had, and the food sure as heck didn't save them. Table of 4, waiter addressed us after about 10 minutes, got obviously upset when he figured out we weren't drinking alcohol, treated us poorly the entire rest of the visit (when he actually deigned to stop by). Ordered "hand battered" pickles, which is a lie, these came directly out of the freezer, had absolutely no flavor at all, and were not served with the dressing specified on the menu. He literally dropped them and ran. I had to go the service counter to get us napkins so we could try the food, and we had to flag him down to ask for the accompaniment. When confronted, he literally said "it doesn't come with anything", we replied that the menu said it did, and he insisted that he was correct. So, he was asked for ranch dressing (which is what the menu states was supposed to be served with it), and he stated, "oh, we don't have any of that, we've been out for weeks". REALLY? He just decided he didn't like us, so he treated us like crap. Burger ordered, listed on menu as 1/2 lb., might have been 5 ounces maximum and had no flavor at all. All of just picked at our food, because it was all just sad. In addition, meals that came with fries had the fries served almost 10 minutes after the meals. Saving grace, they were hot and well seasoned, so we finally had something we could all share to eat, but had to fight to get ketchup for those that wanted it. Excellent ownership, atmosphere, clientele, drinks and over the top food. Pricing is very fair. Outdoor patio, indoor tables and nice bar. Employees are well trained and welcoming. Great place to chill at the bar after work or to meet a friend. Great place for groups as well. Open kitchen view as well. Very well done establishment. I always get the wings because they will do the wings perfect with no sauce today I tried the blackened fish tacos and when I say OMG it and make it three times as big, best fish tacos ever...where most places serve the cabbage they did it with lettuce they did it on a flour tortilla instead of corn But the fish was flaky and amazing a big slice of avocado on each taco... just enough burned to warm your mouth, not enough to have to drink the margarita which by the way they make the best margaritas in town so if you got a hankering for fish, here's where you go. And while you're at it check out that bacon cheese burger!!! The owners Melissa, Steve and Chris know what they are doing!! And actually work the tables and bar !!! My Mom and I had been talking about stopping by here for a while. She'd heard some good things. My mom, stepdad, and I popped in for a late Saturday lunch. The space smaller than I anticipated, with a bar in the back. Definitely too cold today to sit out on the patio, but that does look like a nice option in warmer weather. The server was nice enough, but I wouldn't say that she went out of her way to be friendly and more or less completed her perfunctory role. There just isn't anything super-exciting that sets this place apart from better more welcoming gastro pubs and sports bars in the area. Just not 100% clear what the identity of this venue is supposed to be. We all enjoyed our sandwiches. The bacon on my BLT was perfect and the tomatoes were nice and ripe. My stepfather's Chicken Club Sandwich was so big he took at least half of it home. And we all liked the skinny shoestring french fries. read more

This Pub and Grill was a great little spot to kick back and watch a game or have drinks and bar food. The night we were there most customers were having bar service. We had dinner so we sat in the front few tables for dining. It's not a large area but it was very tastefully decorated. We had Jarod for our server. He was great. Very personable and gave us some recommendations. The food came out quickly and we all agreed it was a great selection of what we call good bar food. Just left. Walked in, we were the only African Americans. We sat at the bar. The bartender NOT ONCE looked at us or acknowledged us. This was today 5:35/40 ish. The waitress greeted us and said the bartender would be right with us. The bartender never looked our way. She sat there and chit chatted with another couple at the bar and they appeared to already have their drinks. The waitress was very nice and she even apologized to us as we walked out. We sat outside on the dog friendly covered patio. When I went in to inform someone we were there I was greeted immediately by two employees, one of which took my drink order right then. Before I could return from the restroom our menus, silverware and my drink had been delivered to the table. The menu had several options we were very interested in. We opted to split the Juicy Lucy burger, this is a burger stuffed with any two items from an extensive list, you can add as many as you like for 75 cents each after that. We chose spinach, mushrooms and grilled onions. Our server recommended we get the grilled onions on the outside so we would get more. For sides we ordered French fries and Gouda Mac and cheese. Our food was delivered by a different employee, so when our server came to check on us I pointed out we were missing the grilled onions. She promptly offered to get us some but the burger was so tasty I told her just to adjust the bill. The beef was cooked and seasoned just right and the spinach and mushrooms were fresh as well as the lettuce, tomatoes and onions it was topped with. The fries were crispy and well seasoned and I believe they were fresh not frozen. The mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. I do not allow myself to enjoy Mac and very often but this was worth it. The restaurant and the restroom were clean. The patio had heaters as well as curtains that could be lowered to protect against the weather. My only criticism is that some debris could have been blown off so my dogs wouldn't try to eat it. Overall I would definitely go back. read more

Great food! Great music! We had a the steak bruschetta & cowboy corn for appetizers. Both were really good. I had the pork chop. It was so good. My side was squash & zucchini. It was good. I love that I have veggie choices for sides. They have spinach & green beans too. A friend had the pub cheese steak. He ate every bit of it. My other friend had the shrimp BLT. She ended up pulling off the shrimp & eating a regular BLT with a side of shrimp. She enjoyed it. The Gouda Mac n cheese was really good too. read more

This was our first time at The Social Pub and we really enjoyed it. My wife and I sat at the bar. Took a bit for the bartender to wait on us but he was very nice. We tried the pork rinds for an appetizer and they were incredible. Tuesday night is steak night. So we both tried the ribeye. We ordered medium and they came out rare. My wife sent hers back and it was fixed. I had them add Cajun rub to mine and it was great. Steak was a little tuff. Salad was a little blah but fresh. Baked potato was good. Overall, good food and nice environment. Prices for steak are $15 for a Tuesday night. Very reasonable. We will be back. read more

They have music bingo on Thursday nights, which was unknown to us as this was our first trip. A lot of tables were reserved and the doors were all open. The waiting staff is amazing and attentive, the food was delicious, I suggest the street tacos, wedge salad, or the burgers. The fried pickles are good, just a bit too salty. French fries are akin to In&N Out fries. The only issue I have with this location is it is small. On a hot August day, I would not want to sit outside. read more

Went to this place with no expectations and left very happy! We walked in and live music was playing in the corner - the place was pretty full so we ended up sitting close to the music but we were still able to hold conversations with each other. The menu has a variety of items that you typically don't see on pub/grill menus so it was hard to choose! Our server, Taylor, greeted us right away and offered suggestions for drinks and appetizers. We started with the Social Shank - mini pork shank served on a sweet potato fry. The pork was crispy on the outside, a little sweet and tender on the inside. For entrees, we had the Fried Bacon and Egg sandwich, Cheeseburger, Juicy Lucy Burger and Shrimp BLT. The bacon sandwich - egg was perfectly cooked and it was served on Texas Toast, loaded with bacon. We subbed the mac & cheese for fries (no charge, which was very nice). Mac was simple and tasty - you could taste the Gouda flavor. The burgers were great too - cooked to order. The Juicy Lucy - you can pick two items to get stuffed into your patty. All burgers range from $11 - $15 but with any additional add-ons, your burger could end up pretty pricey. The Shrimp BLT was also a tasty, unusual combo. Everyone did love the shoestring fries served with the sandwiches. They have a large cocktail menu so come thirsty...again with interesting combos and nice presentations. I visited this pub with high expectations based on other reviews I read before hand. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my drink orders. I ordered two drinks. Both drinks are simple. Any bartender can make them. They were very weak and watered down. I also order a bite to eat, chicken tenders and fries. (Can't really mess up chicken to much). The flavor of the batter was nice and the chicken was juicy. I can see me ordering that again. I am not the type of customer that just gives up after the first visit so I will try it again and let you guys know if my second visit was better than the first. read more

There is no doubt this place is worthy! We have visited The Social Pub on a couple of occasions and have always received A+ service. In addition to great service, they have an array of all the beers your belly can handle. To keep you occupied while you drink, there is an upstairs full of a variety of games, a back yard space with outdoor stuff, and they have food trucks to help keep you sober. On one occasion, the food truck was late, so we ordered delivery service from Phoenecia--which is also cool because you can bring your own food. So why are you still here reading?! Go! Go! Pretty good! This place is so close to home and every time we are feeling too lazy to cook, and on top of that, too lazy to drive to I-10 or the tollway, we go to The Social. Every time we go, it's always better than I anticipate. None of their apps have let me down. They had some brisket fries on special last time we were there and it was pretty awesome. They put pico in with it and it brought a great fresh element to an otherwise heavy dish. I usually get a burger there and their burgers are great even though they're usually cooked well done (even though they ask how I like it cooked and it ends up never being the medium rare I ask for). It's really a 5/5 burger, and we always get their mac n cheese. The Social is pretty solid. Good portions, great quality, decent service. It just doesn't have anything special to warrant that fifth star in my opinion, but I do hope they stick around because that opinion may change over time. I'm not sure what it is with pub and grills and their service. It's either really great and everyone has a smile on their face... or it's like "the social" where waitresses look miserable, and look like they don't want to be here. It took more than ten minutes to for the waitress to acknowledge my existence. Because I had to seat myself I was searching around for the waitress and discovered that she was having a nice chat with her friends for the past fifteen minutes. I specifically told the waitress that I had other people coming. And later I changed my mind that I wanted to move the drinks to the bar, so I wanted to tell the waitees but she was no where to be found. Not many people In the restaurant at the time so I couldn't understand why the waitress was scarce. Then I stand up to wash my hands and see that she's in one of the back tables eating her lunch. Absolutely abysmal management (when Steve and Chris are not there) and terrible service. When the rest of my group showed up they instantly noticed the heat. And asked the new waitress that noticed the influx of people, one them asked if the AC was on which she replied with a classic "I dunno". Absolutely hilarious. I would usually compliment the food any other day but this time... it wasn't as tasty when I'm eating hot food while sweating. We even asked the guys next to us if they felt the heat, they agreed even while drinking cold beers... dry appetizers and unfavorable conditions. After working out, we were on the prowl for some food and a cold beer (workout fail) because the weather was almost perfect this Sunday. The Social Pub and Grill was in the same parking lot, it's a new place and it seems to be popular. Therefore, we decided to give it a try. The waitress (didn't get her name) was extremely friendly and prompt, her service alone should get 5 stars but I'll explain why we decided on an overall 4 stars. We chose a table outside but had to ask the waitress to clean the table off because it was layered with dirt. The restaurant gets a pass because it was windy all weekend and construction everywhere so I'm sure it's hard to keep clean consistently. Anyways, we ordered our beers, a few appetizers and our entrees. We didn't have to wait long for our drinks or food to come out and everything was tasty. We did order a side of queso instead of quac and queso and although the queso was good, it could have been a little warmer (on the cold side). Also, the chips were a little greasy?? On the other side the food was good but not something I would crave, hence the 4 stars. The atmosphere was good but would recommend them turning on music on the outside patio (it's on inside but not outside). Other than that, we would recommend you give The Social Pub and Grill a try. Ok let me say wow.This is a little place thats big on flavor for both drinks and food. The Mac and Cheese is the bomb. The pork skin app comes as a huge portion and is available in a variety of flavors. I went with cajun and was not disappointed. Then for a beverage, I tried the Whiskey smash which was so good it was followed by a second one. The Glass was large and not just a glass full of ice thimble full of cocktail. It had just enough ice to keep it cold and had a great flavor. I am looking forward to my next visit. read more

My 23 year old daughter and I stopped in to watch the Astros game. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and food. The "regulars" were very fun and friendly, drinks were great and the food was really good (loved the sliders on sweet buns).
