I read in a magazine that this new pub and eatery had recently opened in an area that I frequent so I stopped by for dinner this weekend. It's located way in the back of the parking lot of the Creekwood Grill so you can't see it from a Telge. Just turn into the Creekwood Grill parking lot and keep going until you run into it. The pub is in a brand new building and there is adequate parking space. It has outside and inside seating. Inside, the building is kind of small with a full bar area and next to it another room for seating. I came for dinner and immediately after arriving realized that the food options here are rather limited. First of all, this pub is dedicated to being a Scottish pub with food and drink offered as if you were really there "over the pond". I really came to eat but soon found out that this is a pub that serves bar food. Almost everything on the menu was less than $10 and more along the lines of snacks and heavy hors' doevres. After deciding to stay and talking to my waiter/bartender, I ordered a scotch egg for $5 and added a toastie called a Rebel Yell to follow for $7. First to arrive in less than 5 minutes was a couple of small sausage rolls that the waiter comped for me to try. They were hot and tasty like small pigs in a blanket. A couple of minutes later the scotch egg arrived. The hard boiled egg was encased in breaded and baked sausage meat and sliced in half. I can't ever remember having one before this but it was also quite tasty and good to eat. Finally after less than 10 minutes the toastie arrived. It had Black Forest ham and jalapeño cheese inside a French baguette and then pressed very thin. To me this dish seemed salty and being so thin I couldn't really enjoy the taste of the ham and cheese. At this point, I felt like I was ready for the main entree but there really wasn't any to choose from. Like I said earlier, I came to eat dinner. Table service was very good. Under the Kilt advertises itself as a Scottish pub and eatery. My experience was that it's much more of a pub than an eatery. The food options are similar to an American bar that serves sliders and hot dogs, pretzels, popcorn, etc. so come here to drink and snack and not have dinner. I probably won't return but will still give a 3 because of their dedication to being an authentic Scottish bar which may appeal to you. I wish them good luck going forward. read more

What a fun place to go! Nathan helped us and he was so helpful, knowledgeable about the drinks and very wonderful all throughout the night! We are totally coming back. I went in and sat at the bar. For 15 minutes the manager or owner talked to a friend and the man, I was wondering if it were her son, stood behind the bar. No one would ask if I wanted anything and walked away and never came back. I left. This place is lame. read more

My parents are from Scotland so my boyfriend brought me here for my birthday so I could have some authentic Scottish food. We ordered half the menu lol. Everything we tried (scotch eggs, sausage rolls, mince and onion pie, steak and ale pie, and shepherd's pie) was delicious! After living in Scotland for a while, I was eager to come try this place out and I was not disappointed! They really captured the small Scottish pub look and feel. I had the scotch eggs and they were absolutely superb! Genuinely authentic! Although a wee bit off the road, it's easy to find and I had no trouble getting there. Great little gem here in Cypress. Long Island ice tea was fantastic as was the steak pie, shepherd's pie and scotch eggs. Would come back again to hang out on the patio. read more

UtKP is a fairly new establishment, and it's a promising venue! I've been twice! The scotch eggs and meat pies are delicious, and there's a decent selection of good beers. It's small, but the patrons are friendly. There are 2 sports TVs to add to the fun. read more
