I'm so sad to be editing my review but I don't think I'll be coming back. Went there 4 times and each time I was over charged. Had items on there that I didn't order. First couple times I didn't say anything but this last time was it. We ordered to steak quesadillas with the rice to go. She had it correct on the recipe for the steak quesadillas but the kitchen gave me two chicken quesadilla with no rice or beans. Which the rice is the only reason we ordered the quesadillas. We got our food and when I go to check it no rice or beans and we are bummed. So I pull out the receipt of $79 dollars and noticed I got charged for a brisket potato and I never order that and never received it. I got over charged for quesadillas and food I never received. I asked about it to the waitress and she said she would take it off my tap next time come in. At this point I'm tired and frustrated. I know it's a busy night but it hurt to feel like we are not being taken care of. Today I'm at work in Humble and I see a charge of $10 on my card. I'm so irritated, I won't be going back again. We came here for micromania wresting event. It was chaotic to say the least. The bartenders and kitchen were not able to keep up. My friend ordered nachos. After waiting an hour he went to the bar to question where they were. It took another 40 minutes for them to come out. I ordered a margarita and it was disgusting and I couldn't drink it. 10/10 the service was amazing. The atmosphere was relaxed and not overcrowded. This is a non-smoking pub for those who are not in favor of cigarette smell. There is pool tables slot machines, and a really nice open outdoor seating area. I Used to pass this place all the time and I really hate that I didn't find it sooner. Definitely recommend the drinks were strong and not water down and very cheap. I got two drinks and only spent seven dollars. They have great specials and happy hour. read more

The bartender Emma was the sweetest young lady I have met at pub 529. The atmosphere was very inviting and friendly, especially on Wednesday karaoke nights... I have had the food there and it is just another bonus. I love the service, the team, and 529 pub period. read more

My wife and I were the only 2 of 4 (not including Gator the bartender) that were there in a Monday evening. Gator is a solid dude, he definitely kept us entertained and shared some stories with us. Made us feel included that's always nice. I remember coming here years ago (maybe 4-6) and it would be dumb packed and of course it was later on at night when I knew it would be poppin'. Anyway I knew traffic from here would've or did die down since the pandemic and honestly didn't know if it'd last. Anyways, it's still here and like a record that ain't been played in a minute it was like blowing dust off and get ready to spin. We got to hear about some updated menu items, specials on the booze (cocktails, beer buckets, shots etc) they have a ladies night on Tuesdays, steak night Thursday and Saturday, karaoke on Thursday and Friday, midget mania wrestling every other weekend I believe might be wrong bout that tho. So for a Monday for the industry it's typically slow and we showed up there about 5:30ish so I knew it would be dead which we don't mind because it feels good to feel like you got a place to yourself and not have to flag someone down for a beer or something. Their backyard patio is as big as I remember and they still have their fire pit and fill bar area out back as well I'm sure that will open when it gets crazy busy which I hope it does for them. That place has been there since I was in my mid twenties when it to used to be Tobin's so I have fond memories of it. I'm glad they're still around my wife and I would like to try karaoke one day to see what it's like. Would def be back 8/10 would recommend Monday or Thursday and Friday. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD! I went in at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, 4/3/2019 , there was five total people at the bar , no music, silent and decided to sit outside to wait for a friend. I waited outside, on the patio for approximately 20 minutes. The bartender came outside, saw I was sitting on the patio however did not approach me to offer drinks/service or anything at all. Once my friend arrived , I went inside to find a high top table . We sat down at the bar top table , all while the bartender saw us sit down , while another employee also saw us sit down and again did not approach our table to offer a drink and/or service at all. We approached the bar, only to be ignored by the bartender - until she felt she had to acknowledge us standing at her bar due to a gentleman at the bar pointing in our direction. We asked about the specials, ultimately ordered two beers, paid and left. The bartender was rude, not friendly or customer oriented and would not go back for that reason. Given that the bar was beyond slow and empty , the bartender could have taken initiative to be more friendly to those customers in the bar. As an establishment with such low clientele at that given time , there should have been no reason for patrons willing to pay for such goods and services to be blatantly ignored. PERIOD! Management should take a word of advice and ensure they have employees/bartenders/servers willing to represent their establishment in a way that promotes business not deters such. read more

This place is BADASS. I wish I lived closer but probably best that I don't. Lol. Huge setup with quick and friendly service with nice, clean restrooms. Where Tobin's used to be. The new facelift includes a tiki bar out back, gates that look out to the parking lot, and a poker-room-esque interior with a nice stage built in to the corner for live music. Drinks consist of local, domestic, and imported beers. Basic liquors and maybe one or two wines. Don't ask for an Old Fashioned here -- it's a pub in the armpit of Jersey Village and Cypress, i.e. Copperfield. Food is decent. I'm a buffalo wings kind-of-girl, and I can tell you that the wings are pretty decent (my all-time favorite is Wings 'n More). Only complaint is that the food takes a while to come out BUT most ppl don't come for the food (although they do have daily specials on food). So, if you just want to grab a drink, watch the game, and meet some friendly ppl, The Pub is the place. Some of the cleanest restrooms you'll find at a pub/bar. Staff is friendly and crowd is diverse. Food/drink prices are about one dollar sign. There's a great backyard patio where you can play life-sized beer pong (think 20 gallon trash cans), bags/cornhole, fire pit, and another stage for MORE live music. Also, I counted twelve TVs inside. TWELVE. Big TV outside and a couple more little ones spread around the patio. Fun, laid-back atmosphere. Good job, Pub Pub. read more

I left my table to grab napkin from the bar and when I got back the cook had came out and ate a slice of the pizza I ordered and was like 'sorry I thought it was someone else's pizza' this person was in his 40's worked there and the business didn't refund my order. Terrible experience from a bar with great potential. A friend that frequently visits this place invited me here for a couple of drinks. After our 2nd round the bartender, Shelby, accidentally splashed Diet Coke into my drink. I told her and she immediately told me she would have to charge me for a new drink if I didn't want that one. I told her I don't drink Diet Coke and she told me I can leave if I don't like it. I told Shelby she was the one that messed my drink up and she became angry and told me to leave again. Instead of getting into a disagreement, I decided to just pay my tab and leave because it was clear to me Shelby was intoxicated from taking shots with her friends. I would never come back to this place and advise anyone against coming to a place with drunk, angry bartenders. read more

I hosted a surprise party Friday with 125 guests and I could not have been happier with The Pub 529. The staff was amazing, attentive, friendly and efficient. The facility was clean, spacious and offered either indoor or outdoor areas. The management was outstanding and made sure our guests were well cared for the entire time. Not one time did I have a guest complain about service, food, cost or sound. We had originally planned to have the party in their spacious backyard Tiki themed patio area, but the weather forced us inside. We had a band booked and fortunately, The Pub has 2 stages and we were able to quickly move the band inside at the last minute. The management helped the band with their sound system and set up. We had planned a fun 'horse race themed' game for our group and management went above and beyond to make sure we had the space inside to run the game and added music when the contestants competed that really tied the entire theme together. They provided us with a delicious unlimited nacho bar and drink specials that kept everyone full and happy. I stopped by The Pub a few days before the event to be sure all was in place. They had a Van Halen tribute band playing and it was all I could do to make myself leave for my next appointment... the place was really rocking. I can not remember the last time I wrote a review about a place nor can I remember the last time as was as impressed as I was with a venue. Several of our guests asked who to talk to have their parties at The Pub as well. Well done Pub 529... well done. You will see us all again very soon. read more

The bartenders seemed really intoxicated. The food was like cafeteria food. Typically tip really well yet just couldn't when the food AND service was extremely horrible. There were maybe 5 people in the entire place and it took 45 minutes to get our (cold) food. The all female staff was focused on the elderly men making disgusting, sexual comments (obviously regulars). Went here a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. I ordered a few Hoptains and had the Jerry Garcia burger for dinner it was delicious! I'm the other hand the fries were bland, even my 3 year wouldn't touch them. We had a great time but i am having a hard time having the manager to repond back to being over charged on the tip, it has been over 2 weeks.. I would recommended for friends to go and have a cold beer, enjoy the outside patio and games but make sure to take notice of what your final bill is because you might be over charged. read more

Never been here and seen more than 20 people in it at once except for when it opened up after Tobins closed. Originally, it re-opened with the old staff from Tobins and things were good. Then they all left and it seems like so did the diverse crowd that used hang out here. Food is hot, but honestly not as good as it used to be. Crawfish are $3.99 per pound which is cheap; but, portions seem small? When I ordered 4 vs 2 pounds, they looked the same. Inconsistent cook. One time with garlic, not spicy and you could add spice. When I returned, it was too spicy and no garlic in the crawfish. The first time was great because I could spice it the way I wanted and the garlic was great. The second time, not so great. They did get new pool tables and moved one inside (good idea); but, still need to work on marketing to get more people in there. Copperfield is nearby, a good place to start is with the neighborhoods. Pennison's around the corner has great business; but, is always smoky. The manager is always walking around checking on people which is good. Service inside wasn't the best when I went on a Sunday; but, outside was pretty decent. Not sure if they just don't have enough help? The atmosphere is great; but, crowd lacking for some reason. They need to advertise, place has great potential; but, I am afraid might fail in upcoming months if they don't work on their customer service and drink specials. read more
