Great place! Good music and tons of TVs for sports. Huge outside area, very clean, lovely staff.

This is a beautiful place with a great patio. It's a shame that it doesn't live up to potential. It boils down to the service. Our waitress/bartender was extremely inattentive. Had to go to bar to get ur own drinks. We ordered crawfish and they were so under seasoned. Probably the worst crawfish I have ever eaten. They were out of butter??? How can a place with a full kitchen not have butter. We were the second people to order crawfish so essentially they just didn't bring it. Drinks were ok. But shots were 8.00?? Had to get our own bucket and paper towels and seasoning. I was very disappointed the crawfish were reasonably priced at 5.00 a lb but they were not good. Oh also we went to watch the Astros game on patio but they wouldn't put in on big screen because some customers were watching the news? Made no sense because we were only ones on patio. The first time we came here, it was very nice. Since it's new, it's very clean. The back patio was very spacious and had a lot of activities available, which is always nice. Then of course inside you have multiple televisions and live music during the week. The next time we came, it was not so great. This 2nd night was much busier, and the bartenders they had did not seem to know even the simplest of drinks. My bartender had no idea what a screwdriver was, so she somehow messed it up. Other than that, she kept spilling drinks in the middle of making them. I just suggest training their bartenders more because they didn't seem very experienced or prepared at all. For the setup of the place, entertainment options, and price, I'd give this place more stars, but with my bartenders not knowing what a sea breeze, tequila sunrise, or even a screwdriver was, just made it a little frustrating. read more

Went to Pub 529 for the first time Saturday to see Escape. Thankfully we had reserved a table. We couldn't sit at it for over an hour because other patrons were sitting at It. The guy in charge told everyone who didn't have a reservation they had to vacate the tables. There were some mad people and I don't blame them if they weren't aware of the concert starting at 9. We finally got our table which was upfront near the door. We were concerned about how many people were being let in. It was a ton !! General admission was standing room in front of the stage. There were so many people there we couldn't even see the stage at all. After several hours and no waitress came to take our drink order we asked one of the guys working the event for a waitress. Poor guy was so overwhelmed he took our order. After first round no one ever we came back to see if we needed more. It was very chaotic in regards to getting people in and them finding somewhere to stand. We stayed to the end. Now the band was great Management was really trying to make things right. We came here for the crawfish on Sunday $1.99 lb it was great but we then ordered food and it took more than 45 mins !!! If their kitchen is not open or not prep for making food on time they should not have a menu !!!!!!!! The one star is for the crawfish because the service sucks !!!!! read more

2nd time here (I know, my fault, but I work very close by) First the good: Great decor, the new owners have redecorated, furnished, etc... and it looks very classy. Unfortunately, that is all of the good. We sat outside for happy hour. Outside bar closed, and NO server. Had to go inside to get a drink for every round. 2 people working inside for approximate 40-50 customers! Beer (I tried 3 different ones) was all flat and warm. This is the absolute worst bar I have ever been to in my entire life. The owner was clearly far from sober upon my arrival, and once I stepped outside to smoke a cigarette, I noticed him smoking pot in front of everyone without a care in the world. If that wasn't enough, the food I only ordered due to being outrageously hungry(I never order bar food), never came out. I waited for 45 minutes. When I approached the owner he was practically incoherent and could barely walk in a straight line. His bar staff clearly hadn't a clue what they were doing, customers weren't receiving any attention, and the owner continued to take shots and smoke in a "non smoking" area. Why establish that rule and convince customers they have a smoke-free environment when you blatantly disregard it and your customers as a whole. Worst service, trashy attitude from the so-called "owner", and still never received my food. They're lucky I don't report them to the police. DO NOT waste you're night here!!!! read more

The use of illegal drugs in this place is rampant. I've wanted to post before ( due to walking outside and observing marijuana use and the horrendous odors from it) but I draw the line with seeing numerous little baggies with white powder residue in them scattered about the patio area. I can't be 100% positive but I'm pretty darn sure the employees are getting high as well. I've Notified the sheriffs office and I hope they do something about this growing issue.This place used to be fun I do t know what's happened in the course of a few years but it seems like complete negligence from management. This place has such great potential. The outside patio is wonderful. The staff on the other hand is a different story. After standing at the bar for 30 minutes. I had to wave down someone for a drink. After I told him what I wanted he never came back. The entire staff seemed if they were more interested in pleasing two guest that were at the bar instead of the rest of the patrons. I'm always searching for new places to relax. The Pub is nice and has really great potential. However, the service on the other hand is quite bad. Takes about 15 minutes to get a drink and you get ignored waiting to get a refill or to order another drink. They lack adequate staffing and don't give their patrons the attention they deserve. We have been here a few times and have had a few negative experiences but overall it was okay.. until today. First preseason Texans game, we show up and there's about 10 other people inside. We order drinks and food. No big deal. 30 minutes goes by, still no food but we got a second round of drinks. I ask the waitress about the food. She says "it may take a while." I'm like really?! For wings, cheese sticks and a gyro. Okay, given the benefit of the doubt (it did suddenly get super packed with biker clubs) I gave her more time. After AN HOUR, she never comes back so I go to the bar and ask the big white dude with the beard if he can check on our food that we ordered over an hour ago. He rudely replied "uh, did you order with me? No, then I can't help." Like wtf?!? Such a d**k! So I find the girl that I did order with, tell her to cancel my order because it's been way too long and she prints my check, sets it on the counter and walks off. No apology, no thank you. Nothing. Zero stars for their service! This place is ALWAYS understaffed. If you go here, be prepared to wait. We've waited every time we've gone but today was by far the longest. Went for Journey Tibute band. A friend had set up a large group gathering. She went a few days early to pre=pay asked about reserving table was told she could not. We got there told you had to reserve tables/ 30.00 for a table of 4 plus 10.00 cover to get in. Too few staff to handle the large crowd. We won't be going back. read more

When I first walked in and the place smelled like a sewer. It took about 10 minutes for the bartender to finally take my order and the place was dead. There was only 1 bartender and her name was Shelby. Shelby liked to drink on the job and really loved doing cocaine behind the bar, in the restroom, outside really didn't matter to her if anyone saw. Anyway the drinks were over priced and not even made properly (maybe cause the bartender was drunk) music was terrible but one good thing was the food... only have about 5 things to choose from but at least it wasn't bad read more

Let me tell you....his food is absolutely delicious, it may take 20 to 30 min to get your food but it's good quality food with fresh ingredients. This is the old Tobins. I like the new set up they have, they used to have a VIP couch area for UFC fights and things like that but they took it out . Still all good though, because they added more seating. My issue is the price gauging on drinks. The ad in the restroom said Saturday night pitchers were $6.50, I asked my waitress if that was all night , she said yes. Then about 9:30 I ordered a pitcher and it was $12.00. I told the co-owner and he was friendly and said he would reimburse me. I didn't push the issue bc it's not about the money. Just seemed like the ole bait and switch. But overall this is a pretty cool place. One last little tid bit ...After UFC fights when they interview the winner and the new champion or whatever , the DJ cuts off the interview to play music every time. This place is okay. It was called Tobins...I think. They have changed a few things which is nice, but I think it's mainly where the locals hangout. My small issue from the other night was the waitress outside had no clue what alcohol they offered, not only that, but she had no idea if the bartender could make some popular drinks because she had no clue what they were. However, she took the time to find out. I was calm while I waited for her to go back from the bar/computer.... but embarrassed for her lack of knowledge about drink the orders. I can't say I wont be back but I am not in a hurry. It's always clean and the staff are friendly. This place has tons of potential and whoever is running the place now...Great job on the changes!
