I came here for a work event and was pleasantly surprised. Tucked in an unassuming strip mall, this place is surprisingly spacious, filled with pool tables and dart boards. They have a good selection of drinks, including non-alcoholic, and some bar bites as well. SO to start off we went on a Saturday afternoon in which its a new place and wanted to check it out. The girl who checked us in was cool but then it wall went downhill from there We went to our pool table and started playing, now the pros..nice clean place, lots of TV's and tables and pretty spacious but the service was horrible The wait staff as you can imagine were women in their 20s which that type of place is expected, but with young ppl like that come arrogance, attitudes and laziness, we waited about 30 minutes to even be approached for drinks and the girl that came up to us seemed like she didn't want to be there but did it anyway b/c she was forced, but before that, all the waitresses were gathered at the front registers and completely ignoring us, how do I know, b/c ALL of them looked me straight in the eye and turned their heads or walked away from us, I had to wave my hands in the air and look like a fool to even be seen, then finally we got "Service" from "Tasia" The food was cold by the time we got it, the drinks were cool but the place is a bit overpriced but for that type of place, not surprised, throughout the visit our waitress (and others) walked to everyone else but us, so we felt ignored, I would pull the race card since I WAS the only brother in there but it was a mixed race crowd and wait staff so I can't play that card All in all we felt ignored not just by Tasia but the other wait staff the food was mediocre and overpriced and not that this review matters b/c unless you're an adult that expects decent service when you go to an establishment like this and not a 20 year old kid who pretty much doesn't care..this isn't the place for adults. Underwhelming experience. I reserved a deck for my boyfriend and I for an hour on Friday night. While the space itself was nice and spacious, our deck was missing a lot of the promised equipment -- no baseball bat, ball, frisbee, or even the virtual gun for the games. The manager did apologize and offered us a free hour of Virtual darts, which was actually pretty fun (honestly more entertaining than the simulators). Still, the pricing felt steep -- $13 per person for pool and $30 per hour for darts is ridiculous. Overall, nice idea and setting, but not worth the price. read more

Randomly came here on a Sunday afternoon to play some pool and watch the Texans game after lunch nearby. Woody's Hideaway is part of the massive Little Woodrow's family so I was expecting good things. It's a bar like their sister establishments, but more like a pool hall. It is located in a strip center so parking is plentiful. Customer service was ok. It was a busy Sunday so our server was a little all over the place. I prefer a draft beer over a bottle or can and they only had about 4 beers on draft and a big selections of bottled and canned, liquor and wine. For a sports bar, I found it very odd that they only have that many beers on draft. I ended up with a canned beer and it wasn't as cold as I would have liked. We did not partake in food, but what I did see coming out looked decent. They have a good amount of regulation sized pool tables that are maintained really well. They have plenty of sticks as well that were in good shape too. They also have darts, golf simulators and corn hole. Something for everyone. Overall, I thought it was a tad bit expensive for a pool hall. A good time was had though. It is way newer and cleaner than most pool halls around town. I'd come back if in the area but not drive out of my way to come here. read more

We finally got to check this place out with some friends. There is so much to do! Golf simulator($30 pp), batting simulator, corn hole, large BP, darts (free), ping pong (free), pool ($13 for unlimited). There is also plenty of seating and bathrooms were very clean. Food was typical bar food, the chicken tenders & tots were probably the best things. The burger was good but had alot of sauce. The wings were stupid small. Some of them only even had 1 bone for a flat. We asked the server about it and she brought us another basket comp that were actually regular size wings. They are quite stingy on the amount of fries they gave you so if you're super hungry I would opt for the tots. Our server was great, except she took a beer that I wasn't quite finished with. For a Saturday night it didn't get too busy since it is also a 21+ establishment which I enjoyed. They did turn up the TV volumn around 9/10PM and it was WAY too loud. We had to scream to hear each-other and that was hugely annoying. The outdoor patio is huge as well. We would definitely come back but maybe not so late when it's extremely loud. read more

It's been about a year coming here and I have some things I like and some things I don't like. Likes, it's one of the better pool halls and bar games place in and around Houston imo. The staff and drinks are excellent. Good location and the place is very lively. Plenty of seating and lots of TVs. They do host UFC fights when they come around but haven't charged cover for them thus far. Dislikes is for sure parking and the parking lot. It's tight parking and don't leave any valuables in your car. Prices are on the higher end, esp with drinks. They as aren't insanely high but they are high enough to notice. The last thing that kind of annoys me about this place is the lighting around the bar is so bright. Maybe it's intentional, I don't know but it feels like closing time when a bar flip on the lights. It's so bright. Maybe that keeps the place less dodgy, but it's the brightest bar in Houston imo. Overall, it's a solid choice to try for pool, UFC fights or groups. It's noisy and busy so depending on your mood that's that. The bar is fairly large, however if you are solo and the bar is packed, you'll be sitting at a table by yourself. They do have an overflow table next to the bar to wait for a seat though. read more

We played pool and ordered the appetizer platter which had deep fried cheese curds, pickles, chicken bites, and chips and queso. It was so good! We had a large group, and our waitress Rissa was awesome. She was patient, attentive, and friendly. I tried the Four o clock somewhere drink it was a little sweet for my taste, so I opted for a sidecar instead. The wings! Delicious. Cooked well, good crunch, and sauced just right. The sweet Thai chili 7/10. Also, the popcorn is buttery and delicious. I got 3 baskets. I loved how clean it was, even if the restrooms were nice for a bar. Great spot! Everything is so clean and new so creates a great experience. Staff is friendly and inviting, space is big, plenty of space for groups. We have gone on a Saturday and Sunday night and definitely notice more of a rush on Saturdays but there's still open tables. I would say the food isn't very good I'd stick to just drinks and activities. Pool is $13 per person unlimited which to me seems great considering you can play as many as you want. We often come here after work since it's open late and have come for a birthday and they are very accommodating. Overall great hangout spot! read more

I've been here a couple of times. Honestly 90% of the people who work here are professional and amazing. Unfortunately, I ordered food today. It was abysmal. Meat was burnt. The food took 45 min to come and a burger and fry shouldn't take that long ever. To top it off it lacked seasoning. The bar stools are wide, which is nice but they slide and are top heavy so I've seen quite a few people fall getting off them or they just get knocked over. The decor and environment is chill yet fun. It's super awesome they have free corn hole out on the patio. Great place to go if you are an avid pool player and friendly if you are trying to learn! The food was your average bar food. The bartender was friendly and assisted me in making a beverage I would enjoy. The service was very slow and it took a while to get refill or place an order. Really cool place with great pool tables and plenty of tvs. The drinks are HIGH, but because the service is so TERRIBLE, you probably won't be able to run up too big of a tab. It is a large place, but if your servers have time to huddle up and chit chat, they have time to make a round and check on their customers. This place has all the makings to be a much better bar than Kirby Ice House. Drinks and food were solid - definitely superior cocktails to Kirby. Plenty of TV's and space. However, service fell short on a Wednesday night. Bartenders spending alot of time with small talk, manager had trouble executing a simple task, Waitresses with poor attitudes, etc. Investing in better management of staff would probably go a long way here and maybe mobile POS devices. read more

You could literally stay there all day. There were plenty of pool tables along with a ping pong table. We tried the golf simulator which we didn't really care for because we thought it was kind of difficult but for $30 an hour it wasn't too bad. The system had multiple sports games including golf, football, soccer, and dodgeball. They had couches in the area so we could just sit and chill as well which we took full advantage of because after 3.5 hours there we were gassed. We can't speak about the food since we didn't eat but we had plenty of drinks. At this point in the night...I don't remember all the cocktails we had but they were GOOD! Thanks Kiana! At my Father's Day, my whole family of 8 ( 3 ladies and 5 gentlemens) all over 21 years old)went to try this place, i don't recommend it at all, from the waitress, assistant manager to the manager are unqualified personal, Why? Because we were inside ready when the waitress ask us for Id's, by accident one of the ladies forgot her Id at home, the waitress told us that we couldn't play because this lady didn't have her Id with her, we ask her if would be ok with a picture of passport on the phone and she said not, at that point everything was handle ok, as soon as we were leaving we noticed thay was pouring raining so I told my family to wait because i was making a phone call to another place to see if they card , as soon as i hang up my son told me hurry because the waitress is kicking us ! My son told her that we will be leaving as soon as i finish with the phone call but she keep saying you guys have to leave NOW . Like it we were doing something wrong! She didn't care that was pouring outside. 6 of the 8 exit the place, my son and I request to speak with a manager , a assistant mgr. Came out and start talking with us and told us that the waitress was right to us ask to leave immediately! She keep saying the same thing that the waitress was right!I So i ask to call the manager. The manager came and handled the same immature, unprofessional and inappropriate way! He keep defending what ever the waitress told him which was all a lie. He should get the situation from us and from her and take the decision instead of take decision based on only one side.
