I met a friend here for Thursday Night Bingo and it's one of my new favorite places. They have entertainment and happy hour almost every night of the week. Karaoke Sundays are an entire vibe! The staff are always courteous and efficient. The entertainment crew is on point every single time playing great music and hyping up the crowd to make sure every single patron is engaged and entertained. The food is delicious and there are plenty of options. They also have hookah's. Reservations are recommended as it's a very intimate venue with a patio. This is a great place for your group or crew to come and eat, drink and vibe. There's often birthday celebrations and the entertainers and staff make them special. Ask about the baptismal shots!!! My friend and I came here for bingo. Disclamer that our waitress gave us was she hopes it starts on time but normally it does not and she was correct. It did not start at 8 o'clock, but in fact, we probably started playing bingo around nine. They have great music and it's a great vibe so it made the waiting better but I do wish that it started on time or at least 30 minutes late not a full hour. I made reservations, but when I got there, she didn't see me and in all honesty I looked and I have booked the reservations for the wrong day. They were super accommodating and we actually got a really nice booth, even though we didn't have reservations. The staff is very friendly and was able to answer all questions that we had. My friend ordered the Southwest eggrolls and we were not impressed by them, but I did order a basket of fries and those were actually really really good. The next time we go, I'll probably order a bigger meal like catfish and fries or something. I ordered a strawberry lemon drop and my friend ordered the regular one, but she changed her vodka to Tito's as they use some other vodka, but I was fine with it. Love the southwest eggrolls. Jollof rice was not like any I've had before, it was just rice and some smoky flavor. Wings were decent, loved the taste of the ranch & they ain't skimpy on the napkins, love that. Music bingo isn't exactly like the bingo I've done. This was regular bingo, they just had good music playing. I don't really think that they need an MC, as they kept telling us to look at the screen for the numbers. The prizes are good though. Also, they are $15 a piece for three squares and three games However, they charge two hidden fees (they don't tell you ahead of time) on the check, one is for 20% and the other is I believe 3%. I visited this location during my most recent visit in Houston. We ordered 2 flights (tequila and cognac) maybe 2 of the drinks were good. We also ordered a side of fries. There was a few things to be questioned. The drinks on the flight weren't the best and the automated 20% gratuity was added. HALF of the tip went to the waitress, where does the rest go? Overall a pleasant experience would recommend. Food is pretty good. The waffles are made with what it seems to be a light cinnamon spice batter which was really good. The chicken tenders were definitely juicy and perfectly cooked. The flights were the strong enough to have you feeling really good by time you're done. We chose Maya for brunch as the first stop went to was super crowded. We didn't need reservations the weather was nice and we were seated right away in their patio. They have DJ and the music is extremely loud in the main dining area. We ordered the chargrilled oysters which were done with a red sauce which I found a lil spicy. We both ordered the lamb and scrambled eggs which were both good. We both had a mimosa. The music outside seemed not as loud and it was a very good play list. I dined in for an afternoon dinner with a friend. Upon arriving for our 4:30 Saturday reservation, we were very surprised that there we no cars in the parking lot. We ended up being the only two to eat for the duration of the three hours we were there. We ordered the Love 66 hookah, which was very smooth and priced decently. For our drinks, we ordered the Spicy Peach Margarita and Santana, both were really good and a decent size. As entrees, we chose the Creamy Cajun Pasta with shrimp and truffle fries, we were both pleasantly surprised at how seasoned it was and the portion size. The only reason I don't give this a full 5 is that we were not made aware that gratuity was already included on our tab of 2. We ended up tipping an additional 18% a piece, which felt deceptive as we already tipped 20% of the tab unknowingly. A DJ did come in around 7:30 when we were leaving. We made reservations for a late night dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant is nice, but smaller than it appears in the promotional videos. The ambiance is really almost like a lounge and there is a live DJ. We had a pretty large section reserved, but it took along time before someone came to us. Once our waiter came over she was really great and very attentive! We ordered a lot of appetizers and some drinks. I tried the Santana Margarita! It was very good and I would have ordered another if we didn't order shots. The food was okay, more like bar food than upscale restaurant style. One thing about Houston, they have the best brunch spots. It was Sunday fun day and we were searching all over for a nice chill brunch. As I was on TikTok, I saw great reviews about Maya Lounge, so we headed over. One thing I love about Maya Lounge is you don't need a reservation, you don't have to reserve a section, nor buy bottles just to have brunch like most brunch spots. We came in right as they opened. We were seated immediately and had the best service. When you walk into Maya Lounge it feels like you're in an enchanted place with the decor. The ambience is nice. It's a very cute lounge. The DJ was great, but the music was very loud hard to have a conversation with people that are sitting at the same table with you. The waitress that served us made a lot of mistakes. There was a miscommunication in the drinks, and she told us that she was not able to send it back to the bar even though the miscommunication was on her end. She forgot to bring out some dishes which we ended up canceling, because the rest of the food had already arrived and been eaten. And she wasn't very attentive to us. The food was OK. The next adventure lead to Maya lounge for brunch. After a few reviews it was picked as the best option & boy was I right. A nice 20 minute ride from the hotel allowed us to walk in literally before it started getting crowded. It's located in a little strip mall so the parking wasn't an issue. The set-up is nice with the option of indoor or outdoor depending on your preference. The bartender was excellent & made the perfect blend of liquor in all her mixed drinks. i went with the Belgian waffle & 2 lobster tails. While I waited I grabbed a hookah for $30. It's tons of TV's in there so you get to chill without missing any sports action. The food came out pretty quick which had me impressed given the crowd that had come. The picture doesn't do the meal any justice. The lobster tails were delicious & the Belgian waffle was made to perfection. Let me start with what went right. The drink that I ordered tasted good. Absolutely delicious. Now we waited over 90 minutes for food, just for it to come out wrong. The server kept telling us for the last 45 min of the wait that our food was out next and we watched people who came in after us get their food. The manager finally came and seemed to understand she offered a round of shots which we took. She admitted that the server was new and never sent in our food order. Our food came out, it was completely wrong. I ordered their build your breakfast that was supposed to include medium lamb chops, grits, has browns and sausage. My friend also ordered lamb chops and the plates only came out with either grits or hash browns. I asked which is mine and the server said "I don't know, I just took it" ummm.....ok Then the manager said just enjoy your food. 20 min later the rest of our sides came out. Cold eggs, store bought cold waffles, soggy spinach. My lamb chops were over seasoned it's like they slapped walker jerk seasoning on it after it was cooked. It was overwhelming and inedible. Don't waste your time people ... first off It took over a hour for our food to come out and then when the food came out it still didn't come together... my friend lamb chomps were over seasoned. The hashbrowns were soggy and the lemon drops came with whip cream on top. I never got my waffle it came 30 mins later with bacon which was cold by the way. Once inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the tastefully decorated decor, nice ambiance and music selection. For a table of 4, two seats will have a back and 2 will be sitting on an ottoman. Cute for the aesthetic but not so good for the back. For the entire spot, only 2 waitresses are working the floor. It is 2:36 and our food just arrived. Took 20 minutes to order and we ordered food and drinks at the same time. Ordered the catfish and grits. The sauce are perfection but the grits themself are undercooked. Severely. Asked for some more and they were still undercooked. Cook may just not know how or I'm too much from the south to accept what was served. They could bottle and sell this sauce though. Hate to complain about the food cause you know how that can go, but raw grits... Fish is seasoned to perfection. It was so good. On a better day this place is probably top tier. Today just wasn't it. And for an automatic 20% gratuity you got to do better than this. So for today I had to go with 3 stars, but with a few tweaks this could easily be a 5-star establishment. read more

I will start with the positives. I appreciate that there is plenty of free parking. The check in was pretty easy. I met a birthday party and was allowed to sit at our table until the party arrived. I give them a 10/10 on service. The music was great too. I love an R&B sing along with a touch of bouncedatass (not too much though). Now for the opportunities it's super small inside and the ratio of women to men was like 20:1. This spot is more for women I counted a total of 3 men in the entire building. The rest of the patrons were women dressed in our best Instagram outfits. The tables are round which is pretty awkward for sitting with food. Oh there's hookah smh. If you've read any of my reviews I'm anti hookah but the people like what they like. We sat at 2 round tables in a booth that was seated for 15. Thankfully only half showed up because there's no way we would fit. This is ideal for a girls night out but there's no men soooo idk. The food was actually really good and came out pretty quickly. The first person was the hostess and when i asked her if someone can come over to give us water she said has no one came to help you or seen you? I said no and she rolled her eyes and walked away so i thought she was going to get someone after that i waited 5-10 more minutes just for no one to stop by so i got up and asked two of the waitress for help (who was absolutely amazing ) and finally found someone to help us.
