Service: liked our server, she was very personable. Fairly attentive until it got a lil more packed. Parking lot of their own, aesthetically pleasing inside with size friendly seating. Food was good. Love the southwest eggrolls. Jollof rice was not like any I've had before, it was just rice and some smoky flavor. Wings were decent, loved the taste of the ranch & they ain't skimpy on the napkins, love that. Music bingo isn't exactly like the bingo I've done. This was regular bingo, they just had good music playing. I don't really think that they need an MC, as they kept telling us to look at the screen for the numbers. The prizes are good though. Also, they are $15 a piece for three squares and three games However, they charge two hidden fees (they don't tell you ahead of time) on the check, one is for 20% and the other is I believe 3%. Plus, the way that the drinks were advertised to us was not how they came on the bill.

Overall a pleasant experience would recommend. Food is pretty good. The waffles are made with what it seems to be a light cinnamon spice batter which was really good. The chicken tenders were definitely juicy and perfectly cooked. The flights were the strong enough to have you feeling really good by time you're done. Service was good considering things got busy right after we placed our order. The music was just right and helped boost the ambiance. The interior isn't too big and not too small just the right size. There is an exterior patio like vibe but it's open and facing the street so lack of privacy.

We chose Maya for brunch as the first stop went to was super crowded. We didn't need reservations the weather was nice and we were seated right away in their patio. They have DJ and the music is extremely loud in the main dining area. We ordered the chargrilled oysters which were done with a red sauce which I found a lil spicy. We both ordered the lamb and scrambled eggs which were both good. We both had a mimosa. The music outside seemed not as loud and it was a very good play list. We both enjoyed our experience and we both enjoyed and would recommend to visit.

I came to support my friend jasmine !! The place is beautiful . It gives 29 and up and that's great . Service was great . Food was 6/10 . That appetizer wasn't all that great . The chicken was good . The fries were cool should've been cooked a little longer . But it was nice . I can see my self coming back to try some regular food . I just stopped by to support .

I dined in for an afternoon dinner with a friend. Upon arriving for our 4:30 Saturday reservation, we were very surprised that there we no cars in the parking lot. We ended up being the only two to eat for the duration of the three hours we were there. We ordered the Love 66 hookah, which was very smooth and priced decently. For our drinks, we ordered the Spicy Peach Margarita and Santana, both were really good and a decent size. As entrees, we chose the Creamy Cajun Pasta with shrimp and truffle fries, we were both pleasantly surprised at how seasoned it was and the portion size. The only reason I don't give this a full 5 is that we were not made aware that gratuity was already included on our tab of 2. We ended up tipping an additional 18% a piece, which felt deceptive as we already tipped 20% of the tab unknowingly. A DJ did come in around 7:30 when we were leaving. The ambiance is nice overall, I would eat here again.

We made reservations for a late night dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant is nice, but smaller than it appears in the promotional videos. The ambiance is really almost like a lounge and there is a live DJ. We had a pretty large section reserved, but it took along time before someone came to us. Once our waiter came over she was really great and very attentive! We ordered a lot of appetizers and some drinks. I tried the Santana Margarita! It was very good and I would have ordered another if we didn't order shots. The food was okay, more like bar food than upscale restaurant style. I tried the boudin balls, southwest egg rolls, and the coconut shrimp. Everything was okay taste wise. The coconut shrimp was good, but fried too hard. Overall, it's a great pregame spot, but i won't go here expecting 5 star service or food. Go have a cocktail and an appetizer before your night on the town!

One thing about Houston, they have the best brunch spots. It was Sunday fun day and we were searching all over for a nice chill brunch. As I was on TikTok, I saw great reviews about Maya Lounge, so we headed over. One thing I love about Maya Lounge is you don't need a reservation, you don't have to reserve a section, nor buy bottles just to have brunch like most brunch spots. We came in right as they opened. We were seated immediately and had the best service. When you walk into Maya Lounge it feels like you're in an enchanted place with the decor. The food here was amazing especially their fried chicken and waffles. The chicken breast with fried to perfection and it paired well with the soft waffle and syrup. Let's not forget about the mimosa flight; four different flavors that were all great. If you're looking for a chill spot with great food and great vibes, definitely head over to Maya Lounge.

The ambience is nice. It's a very cute lounge. The DJ was great, but the music was very loud hard to have a conversation with people that are sitting at the same table with you. The waitress that served us made a lot of mistakes. There was a miscommunication in the drinks, and she told us that she was not able to send it back to the bar even though the miscommunication was on her end. She forgot to bring out some dishes which we ended up canceling, because the rest of the food had already arrived and been eaten. And she wasn't very attentive to us. The food was OK. My salmon came out not very hot. It was a bit overcooked for me as well, but the flavor was all there.

Maya Lounge is a hidden gem! I was in town celebrating my sister's birthday and stumbled across their instagram page and we had to check it out. This lounge is very intimate and exudes good vibes. I ordered the chicken and waffles and was very impressed with how fast the food came and the flavor, chefs kiss** Overall, this was an incredible experience. The food, service, and ambiance were all top-notch. I will be back!

They managed to keep the same relaxed neighborhood vibe people love while giving it a much more modern, polished, and upscale feel. The updated design, lighting, TVs and overall atmosphere look incredible and make the space feel fresh without losing its personality. They still have the spinning drink wheel! The outdoor seating especially feels elevated now and makes for the perfect Houston brunch spot or night out. One of the best parts about NextDoor is that it's connected to Hungry's, which means you get full access to their menu while enjoying the lounge atmosphere. Being able to order everything from cocktails and appetizers to full meals while at a bar is a game changer. The food is consistently good, the drinks are strong (especially the frozen options) well-made, and everything comes out quickly. What keeps me coming back year after year is the consistency. The staff has always been welcoming and attentive, the crowd is chill, and it never feels overly pretentious or chaotic. It's one of those rare spots that works for everything, whether it's happy hour after work, date night, catching up with friends over drinks on the patio or a solo adventure. Love seeing a longtime Houston favorite continue to evolve while still delivering the same great experience that's kept me coming back for years. Definitely one of my go-to spots on Memorial Drive. My only suggestion is to tell the younger staff members to be conscious of their conversations while guest are dining nearby. I love people watching but I heard a lot of things. It appears Hungry's uses the bar area like a break/training room or to do other tasks like rolling utensils in napkins.

We were greeted immediately by the host and seated right away--honestly, that was the smoothest and best service we received all night. After that... things slowed down a lot. It took forever for our waitress to come to the table. I tried to give grace since it was Valentine's Day, but the place wasn't even crowded, so the delay was confusing. Now let's talk about the lavender lemon drop--because when it finally arrived? Whew. Delicious. Smooth, flavorful, and dangerously sneaky. I genuinely couldn't taste the alcohol, which is both a compliment and a warning . The wait time for the drink was long, but the payoff was there. For food, we ordered the Trap Trio (egg rolls, chicken sliders, and wings). Everything tasted good, though we asked for grilled chicken sliders and received fried instead. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting. Still enjoyable overall. I also had the shrimp Caesar salad. The shrimp were well-seasoned and not rubbery (thankfully), but the salad itself didn't really stand out--just okay, nothing memorable. Overall, Foxtrap is a nice vibe spot with good drinks and decent food. I really hope the service improves and that the waitstaff receives more consistent training, because with better service, this place could truly shine.

This was my first experience with Credence and the atmosphere was new, modern and a little noisy. The lunch gnocchi was my first experience with gnocchi (in particular cornmeal gnocchi) so I have nothing with which to compare; I would probably not have it again but it wasn't bad. I have had plenty of beet salads and this didn't make the top ten. The grilled tuna salad my husband ordered rated a 0 on a scale of 1-5. The tuna may have been grilled as advertised, but there was no evidence of it, and there was absolutely no taste to it. I would have expected there to be some seasoning, but again, no evidence. The green beans were so crunchy they might as well have been fresh-picked and the sauce over the snow peas was so tasteless, Ranch dressing would have been a huge improvement. I could only eat one, and I really like snow peas. Until they get a better chef, I will not be returning.

The ambiance was beautiful too, and the speakeasy was such a fun bonus. The monkey bread was the perfect way to start ! Warm, soft, and dangerously easy to keep eating. The baked potato was probably one of my favorite sides; it was super creamy with this crusted layer that basically melted in your mouth. The NY Strip steak was perfectly seasoned and definitely lived up to expectations. The branzino was fresh and cooked well, but the seasoning was a little too subtle for me, so it didn't stand out as much as the other dishes. I also wasn't a huge fan of the cabbage. Overall though, Credence absolutely delivered. Great food, great service, beautiful atmosphere, and plenty of dishes I'd come back for.

Pros Ambience Hookah…read moreVariety Music Selection Cons Asthma Risk Patron Mixture Risk The Hookah lounge was comfortable however I'm not a big hookah smoker because it makes me dizzy after a while. This night I went with one of my close sorority sisters and ended up smoking hookah with her. This location was dark and very easy on the eyes. It showcased a heavy middle eastern influence since hookah is heavy there. The variety of options are given in a menu style and allow you to pick whatever fits your needs at the time. You are also able to freely smoke as long as you would like with the occasional waiter coming to replace the coals on your hookah. They also hire their DJs every night, so the music can change and control the mood depending on what is played. The do played a variety of music from hip hop to r&b and pop, there was no shortage on the tunes just know that they will change. The downside of this place is the smoke, if you're asthmatic or have trouble seeing this place might pose a couple of risk to you. You might have trouble breathing or being able to see the ground as you walk into the puff clouds of other patrons. There is also a mixture of patrons, some there to enjoy themselves and others to have parties and fun, if you're set on a flat consistent vibe then this may not be a place, there was someone on a couch enjoying their entire life while we were there, luckily we didn't care how they did anything it didn't interfere with us. Risk was also a major thing to be mindful of, the coals can be extremely hot and give damaging burns, people can also get sick from the hookah so be careful of the health risk and also use caution around the hookah to avoid coals! Overall a good place, if you're in Houston definitely stop by and have a good time.
