This night I went with one of my close sorority sisters and ended up smoking hookah with her. This location was dark and very easy on the eyes. It showcased a heavy middle eastern influence since hookah is heavy there. The variety of options are given in a menu style and allow you to pick whatever fits your needs at the time. You are also able to freely smoke as long as you would like with the occasional waiter coming to replace the coals on your hookah. They also hire their DJs every night, so the music can change and control the mood depending on what is played. The do played a variety of music from hip hop to r&b and pop, there was no shortage on the tunes just know that they will change. The downside of this place is the smoke, if you're asthmatic or have trouble seeing this place might pose a couple of risk to you. You might have trouble breathing or being able to see the ground as you walk into the puff clouds of other patrons. There is also a mixture of patrons, some there to enjoy themselves and others to have parties and fun, if you're set on a flat consistent vibe then this may not be a place, there was someone on a couch enjoying their entire life while we were there, luckily we didn't care how they did anything it didn't interfere with us. Risk was also a major thing to be mindful of, the coals can be extremely hot and give damaging burns, people can also get sick from the hookah so be careful of the health risk and also use caution around the hookah to avoid coals! if I could start off by giving this I would. I went there to have a good time every 5 to 10 minutes. A waitress approached me trying to get me to buy a bottle. After I already bought the as well as a a waiter ended up walking up to me and telling me even though you bought the section. You're holding it up because there's other people that wants to buy bottles. Which made no sense to me since I've already would not recommend going here. I may not check in every time I'm at Sky Lounge, but I go to this lounge every damn day. It's become my daily stress reliever. Sky Lounge has the best hookah guys in Houston and the surrounding areas abd their prices are excellent. The environment is so cool and laid back. The ambiance is so relaxing. This place is a good suggestion for every situation, whether you want to go on a date, meeting, for chilling, or even studying if you're not easily distracted. The crowd and music are diverse and I love that. The waiters and waitresses are respectful, professional, and competent regarding the menu, pricing, and shisha combinations. Sky Lounge is clean and doesn't have any bad smells. Also, the restrooms are always clean. I don't sit on the patio often but one night I did and they turned patio heater and that ft so good to have fresh air and warmth simultaneously. The DJ is a great plus on the weekends! The headsets for the staff is a great plus! Suggestions: Sky Lounge has a projector screen on the patio to play music videos, but it would be a plus if they would connect the indoor sound system to the patio. Play a movie once a month on the patio or what about open mic night once a month inside...? The waitresses need to be assigned to their own sections. The staff do a great job monitoring to see when someone chooses to sit on the patio, but I believe by assigning the staff to sections, the wait time will decrease. I love the various lighting selections but they should use them more often and adjust the lighting to a darker setting. Some times, the lighting is too bright. I support adding a gratuity or service charge to all bills! I'm able to provide a lot of feedback about Sky Lounge, but you should try it for yourself. I hope they open another location. This is my favorite spot in the world! Awesome DJ! Naija , hip hop, R&B, and top 40! Can't beat it! Fusion of cultures, great atmosphere! Totally chill! I come to work and hang out! Okay this place is next to an abandoned Walgreens but the parking lot gets packed. Also, they charged us $40 to sit down at a two top table. This place doesn't know about proper customer service. I brought in a bottle of alkaline water to drink and they wanted to take it away from me. I even offered to pay money for one of there own water bottles and let me drink mine. (Since I only drink alkaline water) My friend that was with me is friends with the owner Akash and even mentioned his name. But they didn't seem to care. The server said one second let me talk to jubay the manager. He went to the back and came back and said we can't allow you to have essentia alkaline water. They have a dj on the weekend. Sunday they charge for sitting inside so beware even if you get there early they'll literally make you move and not even tell you they charge at a certain time. I start most of my reviews at 4 stars and if it's really good I'll give it a 5. This place was really great honestly. The hookah was good, service was great, and our server was incredibly attentive. My reason for the 3 stars is that the drinks seemed to be kind of watered down. That really sucked because if their drinks were good this would be my total go to spot. After 2 drinks I barely felt anything and the taste was also a little off in my drink where it tasted really watered down. I'm a very occasional drinker, so to not feel anything after 2 $8 drinks was kind of shitty.
