Well great service. We walked in and immediately was asked for our order. Bad thing is you can taste the cigarette smoke as you walk in. Extremely smoky and no ventilation. Cigarette dispenser machine as you walk in. My lungs could only take about 45 minutes of the smoky air. Had to leave. They need more ventilation unless you enjoy eating cigarette smoke read more

You know there are those rare moments that you find a place that although may be lacking in some things, but they make it up for others. This is one of those places. I first discovered this place months ago simply by driving by. However after browsing online to find more information about it I decided not to give it a try because it wasn't a non smoking bar. After all, I'm not a smoker so why should I smell like one just by visiting a place. Nevertheless months later in search for a spot that does Karaoke on a Saturday night my Google results listed this place as a candidate. So I made the sacrifice to give it a visit on a Tuesday night to take one for the non smoking team. (They have Karaoke on Tuesday and Saturdays). What I discovered can be summed up in one word. Hospitality. We started off with the most popular drink in America. The Margarita. They had the frozen machine but they didn't have it running so they made one from scratch. ( It was aweful. The bartender immediately took it and made another. It too was aweful. He waited as we tried it again and didn't want to leave us drinking something that wasn't good. So he explained what he used and asked us to give him another try. We did. And the later was perfect. He explained it was due to him making a skinny rita vs the standard. For the remaining of the night he made them consistently good. Let's be clear. This place serves no food. It is a dive bar with amazing hospitality. We met the 2 owners and the manager. Both were courteous and very welcoming. Both wanted us to know that it was their intention to make sure everyone that walks in that door has fun. At 9 the Karaoke DJ began the show with a great sound system, lighting and costumes. They have a stage for you to perform on and some stage lighting as well. Quickly the list of singers started coming in from nowhere. It was a great fun night and after I left I did not have as much smokiness smell that I thought I would. This is perhaps due to the large smoke filters they have. I was told that they have been considering doing away with smoking altogether. I sincerely wish they would. To sum I would recommend this place for a good night of Karaoke. Don't expect a huge place with lots of seating cause like I said it's a dive. They clearly can use more seating. They have food vendors that come by late at night with some tasty tamales or beef jerky but there is also a Chinese restaurant next door that I think close at 10. I don't know if you can bring food in or not but I can't imagine why not since they don't serve food. It's a bar so of course they have beer. The prices are pretty decent and they seem to tend to make other mixed drinks based on your personal taste. Finally Cypress we have a good Saturday night Karaoke spot. Alot better with the new owners and bartenders. My husband and I have been coming for years and its way better than it used to be. Really nice interior with a lodge feel. Fairly good liquor selection and different drink specials every day. We come for Saturday karaoke and sometimes to see the small live bands on the weeknights when they have the open mic and acoustic shows. Its nice because its not too big but its not hard to move when the place gets packed. read more

While out on a mission to find a good karaoke spot for a group of friends to hang out and have a good time. I made this stop on a Tuesday night to check out the karaoke and get an idea of what this place was all about. After walking in and sitting at the bar I was somehow swallowed by a cloud of smoke but then was instantly greeted by the bartender who took my order. Although, my first drink orders where not quite up to par, I have to hand it to him for his efforts. He was determined to fix my drink and eventually did make one to my liking. In his defense I will add that it was not attributed to him not being capable but more so to the fact that I tend to be a bit pickier than most. So I did return here with a group of friends on a Saturday for some karaoke entertainment. I must say it was a blast. The drinks were outstanding, the hospitality made it just that much more of a great experience. This will for sure be a more frequent spot for me although it is a smoking establishment which I am not a fan of, but it for sure makes up in the friendly environment and great hospitality you get from everyone here starting with upper management to the bartender. So this is a great spot for sure and the one star that is lacking is only because they are lacking the food and allow smoking. Other than that this is a great hang out spot for karaoke in Cypress. This is a great drama free, fun filled place to hang out in a friendly environment. So till next time. read more

Blueprint: very large U-shaped bar. Black walls, black visible a/c systems, black ceiling, smoking inside allowed (there are several smoke filters hanging from the very high ceiling). Live Music and karaoke. Owner Nadine very nice to talk to. I went during the day where I was one of six people there. The other three men looked like regulars. There were also two women there that looked like barflys - sorry - the owner later told us they were down on their luck. Mind you, I've only been once during the day with my brother who is a big Flinstones fan and wanted to visit the Bedrock Tavern - I have never been at night and would not go at night without my very large brother to accompany me. What a difference a day makes - Second visit was a completely different crowd, and I went early evening. Better folks in here this time...okay there were a couple of older dudes that should have called it quits earlier in the evening but what establishment doesn't have that? *according to their FB page 4/13, there are new owners and many activities going on, so check it out. Hindsight tells me the other owners were shady. The husband was a pushy, crooked acting "realtor" and he wouldn't leave us alone after he found out we were looking for a house. He was a pest. All the glares and ignoring didn't help either. He finally went away. You'll know it's him when you go, he looked like Peter Noone with long blonde beach hair. read more

Came here for the karaoke and Kasi is amazing!! But the smoke inside is god awful. Plus, you smell like a damn carton when you leave. I haven't returned since. Sad because it's close to my house. Luckily she does other places. But wish they'd adopt the smoke free rules like all of the other places now. read more

I stopped in for happy hour today (12/7/2016) and was charged $20 for three well vodkas? That's a little pricey .... I will not return to this place. After looking at my bill, I found that I was charged $10 for CO? I don't know what CO is, but it is not anything that I ordered, and it is not anything that I received. read more

Owner has put a lot of effort into the decor and it looks like live music will be on the venue soon. There are pool tables and a juke box and the owner serves you himself. Very friendly guy, lots of seating, and great prices. Owner promises to carry all his regular's favorites, so just tell him what you want to see on tap. A friend recommended this place to me for karaoke. Came here for a birthday. Compared to Vintage Pub (which is now closed - RIP), Bedrock is boring. But the karaoke was fun and the place was so small that friendly interaction was pretty much necessary. Wish it was a non-smoking bar, though. read more

My wife and I go here frequently for karaoke on Saturdays and sometimes Tuesdays. The staff is professional and friendly, the drinks are reasonably priced, and importantly- it's always a good crowd, never any drama at this bar. Restrooms are clean too. The karaoke is a mixed crowd, some rock, some country, some rap, some pop and 80s, everything basically. The KJ has some fun props and is fair with the line up. Good times! read more
