Unfortunately a very bad experience for us here. We came on a weekend around 12:15, in my view a pretty typical lunch hour, seeking a beer and a bite to eat. We bellied up to the bar, waited for about 15 minutes, and left having never spoken to an employee, nor having even seen an employee. From what we could tell looking at the taps, more than half of their beer selection was unavailable anyway. Disappointing given Katy's severe lack of decent bar options. read more

The business has been sold to a shady owner. The former owner, Joseph, used to spend a lot of time updating the selections and constantly rotating the stock with new craft beers. The new owners have in reader the prices and are now lining the wall with far less selection. The place is called Crafted, yet they sell Michelob, Coors, Budweiser, Corona, etc. I ordered a dark stout called Tasty AF by Saloon Door and the waitress brought me out a clear beer that looked like a Lager and argued with me for a little bit that she brought me exactly what I ordered. I was there for 4 hours and never got the nachos I ordered. She tried to charge me for them though. We discovered Crafted Kitchen & Taps while passing through Katy, and it turned out to be an unexpected gem. Its strip mall location gave us some initial doubts, but since we had already made a small detour, we decided to give it a shot, and we're so glad we did. We started with the Bavarian pretzel, clearly handmade, with soft, flavorful dough and a great beer cheese dip. For lunch, I went with the mahi mahi tacos, three for eight dollars on Taco Tuesday, and my wife had one of their burgers. Both were outstanding. The Cobb Salad was served in a chilled bowl and was very very good! The menu has a lot of options to choose from! A wide array of beers on tap and a full bar! A unique service they offer when you get a pint they take a pint glass and place it on a metal circle and it rinses the dishwasher residue from the glass and chills the glass which allows her to do a excellent pour! After coming to Crafted for years, we're finally throwing in the towel. We have accumulated $100s of dollars in points and can never use them because the staff either doesn't know how or conveniently "forgets." For three years in a row, my husband has gotten emailed an offer for his birthday and for three years in a row, they never let him utilize it. I don't know if the staff needs better training or if it's deceptive practices. Either way, we cannot support this place anymore. It really sad because we used to love this place. read more

This is a hard pass for me. I decided to meet up with some colleagues here after work, as I heard the tap selection was phenomenal. While the beer selection was spot-on, everything else was a no-go. Very limited seating, staff were preoccupied with playing arcade games, and the food was abysmal. Other reviewers raved about the appetizers, but what we ordered was greasy, tasteless and expensive. Second time in for the win. Switched a few things about my drink/food order but the main reason I came back was for the wings. Their honey sriracha sauce is top tier. The wings are fried perfectly while still remaining juicy and flavorful. So far I've only had the deconstructed jalapeño, wasn't bad but wouldn't get it again .. yet I'd eat a bit if someone else got it if that makes any sense. Those wings though, get familiar. I gave up my beer days long ago, so I don't benefit much from their tap options. Since there's no seltzer (miss you white claw) I'm jus working my way through the cider list. Today it's 'CrackBerry' (cranberry and blackberry) it's smooth. Very chill. Service is attentive, but since I don't feel much southern hospitality here I jus take the food to go. I'm one to believe that the staff and ambiance is just as important as the food/drinks. All of the staff is great EXCEPT for the manager Joseph. Seriously. My family has been coming here for over a year, religiously, and if we see him while driving by, we'll just keep driving. Tonight for example, I tried being friendly again and he completely snubbed me. Anyway - the food is delicious. I suggest the grilled cheese with tomato and bacon plus tomato soup or the wings with their buffalo sauce. Ray is SUPER knowledgeable about all their beers and can recommend a good beer if you describe what you want. Ed will be able to help you through the gluten free options . Darien is a lovely person. Hannah has a great singing voice (ask her about it). Gavin is very nice. And the kitchen crew is wonderful (Shout out to Chris and Connor)! read more
