Food was great, costly for lunch Place was modern, nothing but round tables which was a little odd for a party of 5. Overall I'd say it's a good date night choice. The establishment was still very new so the staff was overloaded. Clearly the food is fresh because it took 2 hours for 5 meals all coming out at different times. We absolutely loved this place, so much so that we wanted to order it again for dinner the very same night. It is that good. The food tastes like it's coming straight from a gourmet chef's kitchen, with authentic, elevated Southern flavors that truly stand out. The service was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind from start to finish. We were greeted with a smile, seated in a beautiful dining space, and enjoyed quick, attentive service throughout our visit. You can tell this spot is on the rise, and it's only going to get better as it grows. If you walk in and don't see someone right away, just peek around the corner. The team is likely already hard at work taking care of guests. Everyone there is incredibly friendly and committed to making your experience great. My only thought for improvement would be hiring a dedicated hostess, but it did not negatively impact our experience at all since we were greeted right away. I mention it only because of a few other reviews I have seen, and I think it would make an already great experience even smoother. This is easily some of the best food I've had in Fulshear, and I can't recommend it enough. 10 out of 10. read more

Stopped by this place. It's new and the pictures looked good. It was about 2 on a Sunday. We walked in. No one at the front. We saw a few tables inside, not busy. No one greets us. We look at the menu at the hostess stand. Prices look a little high. Still no one comes over or says anything. So we left. The inside decor looked cute. Disappointing. read more

100/10 experience across the board! The owner, Mr Antwon, has a gem on his hand. The restaurant is one month old and it's exactly what the Fulshear/Brookshire area needs. Soulfood at its finest as though you're in gram's kitchen. The service from Amber was stellar to match. Love the ambiance and decor....very spacious and comfortable with good ole school RNB jams playing. Now to the delicious food....umm ummm ummm just amazing! We tried the spinach dip, corn ribs (sooo good), oxtail, yams, and fried fish. When I say EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING, I truly mean it. The fried chicken entree should be revised to read "fried chicken wings," as it is misleading if it is not at least a full piece of chicken for $27. However we enjoyed the philly cheese egg rolls and the chipotle aioli sauce it was served with. The ambiance of the restaurant can use some work as well, the music was playing when we walked in but then it was silent and very awkward. I agree with some of the other comments that the lighting is too bright considering there is a lot of light coming in from the large windows. Wow. This place is amazing. I hate to give the review, only because I would love to keep this place all to a few folks. This is the best kept secret in the Katy, Houston and surrounding area. If you have time I promise it is worth the drive from Houston or Richmond area to eat here. Also, be a great place for a nice romantic dinner. Ok I will give review now. First the place is very nice and the chairs at the table are the best. They are so comfortable, after your meal, you will not want to get up and leave. From the hostess to the wait staff they are amazing. Friendly, smiling and attentive to your time in the restaurant. Kynlee was our waitress and did a remarkable job. She was friendly, full of smiles and made sure my wife and I had a pleasant dinning experience. The food. Not this is on a whole different level. First you must try the devil eggs. That will let you know you're in for a treat when the main course arrives. The eggs had a sauce drizzled on the plate and with the salty bacon, the filling and sauce. It was a pleasant taste of sweet salty goodness. Neither over powering the other, it was a perfect blend. I had the lamb chops with a sweet spicy peach glaze. OMG they are amazing and the glaze was great. Another perfect blend of sweet and spicy. Neither one competing with the other. The chops had a nice grilled flavor and were so tender you could cut them with the butter knife. My wife had the shrimp and Grits. The grits were creamy with a nice flavor. If you mixed the cilantro, onion mix in the center with the grits it was a nice mixture of flavor, that made your taste buds think twice. The shrimp was grilled to perfection and the season on them was nice and flavorful. The wife and I shared the Southern Carolina Orange Philo cake. It was great with the ice cream. If you never had it, it is worth a try. We also met the Owner and the head chef. Both were super nice and very helpful. They had a genuineness about them, you will only find in local place. Listen... if you're anywhere near Fulshear, Katy, Cinco Ranch, or even Houston -- you NEED to make your way to Etienna's Eatery. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted at the door by the owner, and the hospitality set the tone immediately. The space is immaculate -- big, spacious, clean, and absolutely beautiful. You can feel the care and pride in every detail. Now let's talk about the food... because WOW. I ordered the oxtails with brown gravy, and they were everything. Big, tender, fall-off-the-bone pieces with rich, flavorful gravy that just warms your soul. Every bite was perfect. The cornbread? Melt-in-your-mouth good. The mac & cheese and collard greens? Katy peeps... Katy peeps. I finally made it to this black owned spot in Brookshire and it was great. Its near Jordan Ranch. We arrived a little after 1 and the parking lot had too many empty spots. I didn't realize they opened at noon. We walked in and were greeted and immediately taken to our table. We did not make reservations. There were no grass walls and no blasting music. They had a nice calm vibe. Apparently today was the first day of their brunch menu, which was a little upsetting because I wanted to try their dinner menu that people rave about in reviews. But dinner is not served til 3. So we settled for brunch and glad we did. I ordered fish and cheesy grits and whoop it was good!!! That fish was perfect. We also had the pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes and all was good. The service was okay, they probably could turn it up a notch. But overall great experience and mainly due to the food. The cook is on point. By the time we were leaving, the parking spots start filling up. Now I have to make it back for dinner . We need to support this establishment. read more

Went to Etienna's for the first time yesterday, Sunday 3/15/26...WOW!! The food was delicious!! I had the smothered pork chop with asparagus and yams and LOVED it!! My friend had naked wings and a side of macaroni and cheese and loved it too...said the mac & cheese was awesome!! The decor is very nice, calm and relaxing, even the ladies room was nice. I will definitely be a returning customer. Can't wait to try other menu items. I'm spreading the word...we need to keep a wonderful restaurant like this open in our area. read more

Wow! This place is amazing, from the service to the food! They are brand new have some new stuff opening issues, delay in furniture. But don't let that stop you from getting to this place and on your Best Restaurants list to visit. The service is excellent and the food was so good. As per our server, she recommended the Cajun Pasta and the catfish along with the collar greens. The pasta was cooked to perfection very tasty dish and the asparagus was grilled equally to perfection. The catfish was fried to a golden perfection, with the spices that are added to fish and batter this catfish was on point and one of the best I have ever tasted. What a great dining experience! This was my first time here. I was heading into heavy rush-hour…read moretraffic, so I decided to avoid it and stop to have a good meal before heading home. This restaurant definitely aims to please. I was being very specific about what I wanted for my ribeye steak tonight; waitress Jessie was awesome and listened carefully to my requests. And then to make sure that I was absolutely happy, she brought Chef Kenneth to the table to discuss what I was looking for. Kenneth returned from the kitchen with three beautiful-looking ribeye steaks and we discussed which one would give me the best dining experience. He does some of the butchering himself so he knew exactly what I was looking for. I ended up being served the most fabulous Wagyu steak I've had in a very long time. Unlike the other steaks that can have a seasoning on them, the Wagyu is just salt and pepper and then is served with a beautiful compound butter slathered all over it. They make that butter in-house and it has wine and shallots and bone marrow and other wonderful stuff. Trust me, it's amazing! I ordered extra on the side and poured that all over the top of the steak. Delicious!! Sometimes little things count and it was served with grilled onion that was tasty. I could have had a side of mashed potatoes or asparagus, but I decided to treat myself and try the mac-n-cheese instead. Half of that food was my lunch the next day, so I left enough room for dessert, where my choice was the apple pie bread pudding with cinnamon roll ice cream. That was nice and moist and I enjoyed it. Overall, this was a really great dining experience and I'm so glad that bad traffic gave me the excuse to come here. Will definitely plan a return visit!!
