Overall our experience was a positive one. This was our first visit and it surprised me that it was more of a counter service restaurant than a full-service. It looked like if you are able to get a spot in the bar area, it would be full service but was packed tonight. We ordered the Jambalaya and the Crawfish Étouffée. I don't know if someone new is doing the boiling but this is the second time I received horrible crawfish. Since when did you'll stop purging the crawfish???!! Overall, this spot is 3.5 stars. This is an order and pickup type of restaurant. We were craving creole food, so this was similar to Boudreauxs, which was another creole restaurant we've frequented in the past. For appetizers, we tried their fried alligator and boudin balls, which were both flavorful and delicious. For my entree, I ordered the Pasta St Charles, which needed more creole flavor to it. I added copious amounts of Tabasco and black pepper to add more flavor to the pasta. I even added a bit of salt to bring out the pasta sauce flavor. I shared a crawfish étouffée with my sis, and this was much more flavorful. This reminded me a lot of Bourdreaux's crawfish étouffée, which I loved. So, definitely come here for their rice and fried dishes. If you want more flavor in your pasta, you can skip the pastas here. read more

Service was super nice at the ordering counter. She was super helpful and welcoming. On Sunday's you can get 20% and she made that easy. The space is very nice and clean and the bathrooms are as well. The food is really good. Now they were out of white rice and subbed with dirty on my gumbo and I might be ordering it that way from now on! Lol. They forgot to change my bread to the cornbread but it was still delicious. Everything was freshly made and very tasty. The fried chicken tenders were just perfect. The cheesecake is super soft and fluffy. Really great place in the neighborhood. read more

Both dishes were spicier than I anticipated. The Cup of Crawfish Bisque was a good size, creamy, and had some nice sized pieces of crawfish. The portion of Rainbow Trout was huge -- but the dish was just overall a bit too spicy for my taste. If I ordered this again, I would request the option for the sauce to be on the side, because by the time it was delivered by DoorDash, it had pretty much soaked into the filet. read more

I was working on a new smoothie king location at the end of the building where this restaurant is so I went to have lunch there and it was phenomenal. I ordered the Cajun Cobb salad and I was going to get some ranch dressing for it but the employee said it came with a special sauce they make and recommended it so I said ok . Everything on the plate was delicious and the dressing they make was very tasty.. Lots fresh veggies and the chicken was full of flavor. The bacon ,boiled egg and chicken makes it a very filling meal.Best salad I've had in a while I recommend. The restaurant is very clean and the staff was very friendly. Went to a all day meeting and there was three of us and I had never been there before. I ordered the Crab Finger Appetizer, which was the size of an entree. My husband had the Catfish Orleans- He said it was so good and the portion size was so big that he was able to bring home leftovers. Out friend had the Chicken Tender Dinner and everyone left full. I definitely expected more out of this place, but I found it to be just ok. The boudin balls were dry and not like boudin much at all. The crawfish bisque was delicious and creamy! The stuffed shrimp were also a bit dry and more breading than I prefer. The fries were nice and crispy and the red beans and rice had great flavor. So overall it was just hit and miss for me. I want to like this place because they have the vibe that says Louisiana cooking. But, their "breakfast" is a joke. My advice please cut it out because you'll lose money on keeping the breakfast option. All the other plates I've had have been ok. I also didn't like how the manager or whomever just sat there and let the individual taking orders just seem to act like they didn't care to be there. Made it obvious to others behind me as well. First time visiting their new location in Fulshear and it was somewhat of a letdown. We ordered catfish orleans and Shrimp poboy. Both dishes were meh at best. Catfish orleans is supposed to have crawfish and pico de gallo toppings. Our plate has few tails that got lost in the sauce. Rice was mushy and flavorless. Same for the green beans. Shrimp poboy for its price is not a good value IMO, small and not enough shrimp. I've had plenty of good poboys during my visits to NOLA and the poboy I had tonight doesn't even come close, very disappointing. read more

And then, the Chicken Sausage Gumbo that is as good as Suz Breaux's secret home recipe. My GAWD, tons of chicken, sausage, green onions floating in a perfectly seasoned Roux. To consider: this is the new place in town so it was crowded! This is a wait in line, order at the front, get a pager type place. The wait to get to the front was 15 minutes. A staff member did offer those of us in line a free drink for the wait. The total time from getting in line to getting our food was 45 min. Most staffers are young but the owners and managers were VERY hands on and helpful. Food: all the food was warm when picked up. The one kids meal was the only one that took about 7 min. longer. Food was tasty, not spectacular or out of this world but it was well seasoned, good presentation and portions were a plenty! Recently I tried takeout meals for dinner at the Fulshear location. I ordered 2 meals, the blackened catfish dinner and crawfish étouffée and fried catfish dinner. Both were prepared well and heavily seasoned Cajun style lightly spice. I was pleased with the food but much more expensive these days. I spent almost $50 for 2 takeout meals for reference. I was going to have dinner there yesterday. I thought about when I was there on March 29,25. My friend and I watch a couple on the patio feeding their *dog. We observe the dog eating out the plate that we humans/customers eat out of. That was so nasty. I got up and told the *manager what we observed. I told him it was unsanitary. I pointed out where the people was sitting. Well I thought he would go out and speak to them. To my disappointment he didn't go out and speak to them. If he would have gone out there he could have retrieved the plate and put it in the trash. Also explain to them that dogs or any animal are allowed to eat out of the plate/plates that our customers eat out of. Of course the bus person clean the table and took all the dishes. My friend and I said if and when we go back we will tell them to put our food in takeout containers. Dog should not be allowed in restaurant our opinion. Orleans is one of my favorite restaurant. The food is deliciou. Customer Service is great. read more

Stopped by around 3PM yesterday with my family. The vibes were nice and we didn't have to wait long at all for food, everything was done all at once and I was shocked! Whatever sauce the sautéed crab fingers are in is to die for, we dipped Garlic Bread in the remaining juices and just wow. The Catfish Orleans & Pecan Crusted Rainbow Trout are a must try, they were seasoned well and cooked beautifully. We ended up not being a huge fan of the Chargrilled oysters, just felt they could've been cooked a hair longer but otherwise were good. Fried shrimp was yummy.. and those French fries are AMAZING. Let start with there was NOTHING Creole or Cajun about any of the dishes I ordered. Tried the "Cajun" wings. They're Buffalo. The wings were okay. Juicy and tender. But not Cajun in anyway. Tried the Creole Chicken Salad. Nothing Creole in the dressing. The chicken WAS blackened which you could taste by itself. But when added to the dressing it was a lost flavor. Overall 4 stars is a bit overrated. And I was expecting more of a traditional dinning experience as opposed to this counter order. It's not bad (at least what I had) but it's not New Orleans style food in anyway. read more

Great dining experience, which is getting rare these days! Started with fried pickles and onions - perfectly fried with a light batter. Also had the crawfish bisque, which had whole crawfish in it instead of little pieces like at some other restaurants - they definitely were not stingy here! Others at our table had fried shrimp, shrimp & oyster po-boy and chicken tenders (order is HUGE). All was great and had enough to take home for dinner!
