spinach enchiladas
Mcon J.

Food is good, enchiladas have a nice gravy. The beef is a bit too mushed for my taste but the flavor is good too. I had mine with onions on top. Ambiance was quiet today Saturday and the dining area is elegant and romantic. The bar is large and comfortable. Restrooms are clean and the kitchen is visually appealing. The service provided by Dante was the best I have had since coming here for over 3 years.,which can tell you I come for the food, service can use some help.

Large chicken fajita nachos

The photo makes this take out box seem bigger than it is. This cost 12$. Had about 12 chips on there, you can literally count them. And mind you, this is the LARGE? It doesn't even have cheese on it. And there was probably a single scoop of beans on this. What a disappointment after 12 hours of work, coming home and wanting some Mexican food, and this is what I get...

Side of rice and charro beans for the fajitas

One of our favorite Mexican go to for fajitas. Wednesday, they have fajitas for 2 for $24.95. Beef and chicken. The onions are always cooked perfectly too. Comes with rice, beans, pico and guac. The pork fajitas are always a good choice any other time.

We have been here a few times now, first time trying brunch. Overall a great experience, food is great and comes out hot. Good service. Will be coming back again!

Combo Fajita & Diablo Shrimp

I've passed by this place several times and finally decided to give it a try. There was a decent sized crowd, but it wasn't super busy. They were definitely understaffed and it took some time to get seated and food ordered. However, the staff was friendly. The ambiance is pretty cute and it's decorated nicely. The chips and salsa were decent. The salsa wasn't anything I'd be dying to get more of. In fact, it was unforgettable.I ordered the combo fajitas and added 3 Diablo shrimp. The beef and shrimp with the "Mexican butter" was so good! The chicken was boring. It wasn't bad, but nothing special. I definitely will be back again!

The restaurant was decorated well and the staff was friendly. The service was fast and excellent. I orders shrimp and some charro beans . The beans were not bad just off. I can't explain it, the flavor was not there. My bacon , jalapeño wrapped shrimp were ok. The taste was ok and the shrimp to me were slightly slimy. On the other hand my wife got fajitas and they were soft and tender. We enjoyed our margaritas, but looked like the margaritas machines were not working.

12$ nacho

the worst Mexican I've ever hah. The end of fajita was basically raw.. and a $10 small nacho was a joke. Didn't even give me cheese for the fajitas..

Traditional, frozen margarita topped with Tajin! SO GOOD! Thanks, Julio!

SOFT OPENING, HERE I COME!! Customer service: Everything about their customer service was great! The manager Juan was so kind, he checked on me serval times (he's actually Mr. Victor son! How COOL)?!! My server was Julio, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He even offered amazing recommendations. The delicious Food: This was my first time visiting one of their location, so I was kind of curious about their popular menu items. I ask Julio what was his suggestions, and he actually provided me with one of his favorites! It was their chicken fajita quesadilla, with fresh grilled mushrooms and cooked spinach...I trusted his selection because I LOVEED IT! It was really in no time. The food was very flavorful and fresh. They use fresh mozzarella cheese in there quesadilla and you can taste it! SO GOOD! One thing I'd love to note is that I love their open kitchen concept...when I looked over, I noticed that the cooks were wearing gloves and it made me so happy. Listen, I'm sure I've gone out to several different restaurants where the cooks did not wear gloves, but to actually see that they do here makes me feel good! Okkkkkay! Drinks: My choice of drink on this wonderful Friday afternoon was there JUMBO frozen margarita topped with Tajin... lets just say, one was MORE than enough, hahahaa! IT WAS GOOD Overall: I am so happy they decided to do a soft opening because I was patiently waiting on a weekly basis for the spot to open up. The ambiance was nice and welcoming. Very clean environment. I think this is the perfect family friendly spot, great place for someone looking to grab a delicious lunch/dinner! You will NOT be disappointed!

Same curved counter, same stainless, same red shirts - and the same man in the cap and beard shucking my oysters, one perfect shell at a time. This place isn't fancy. It's Texas honest. A grounded ship ringed in sun-bleached shells, loud with beer, laughter, and knives hitting the hinge. Folks pack in - oil hands, students, suits - because here, money doesn't decide taste. If you want the Gulf, you come. The oysters are what the Gulf does better than anyone will admit: big, briny, and unapologetic. Pacific and Australian oysters are refined - polite, even. Ours carry warm salt, mineral depth, and a little river memory. They don't whisper; they speak Texas. Menu says a dozen; you get thirteen. That's not a promotion. That's culture. The Michelada? Many places pour a decent one. I won't judge. But drop a fat Gulf oyster in the glass and the drink wears its crown - the way Houstonians know it should. Fried catfish here sets a bar most won't clear: cornmeal crisp, clean-sweet flesh, no mud, no funk. In this part of the country--Texas and our neighbors in Arkansas - we don't just eat catfish; we raise it right and fry it right. That's geography, craft, and pride. Frog legs snap at the joint and stay tender at heart - quiet Southern luxury. Gumbo is Texas gumbo - thicker, smokier, steady. Not Cajun, not Creole; ours. Skip it and your body will notice. Nineteen years ago I had my first Michelada here. Nineteen years later, it's still the best - and that same shucker in the cap is still running the line like time never learned his name. This isn't nostalgia. It's continuity. This isn't "seafood night." It's Houston - served raw, hot, and true. And for anyone wondering, yes - whoever you are, if you want the real thing, you'll end up here. - Dr. C Born elsewhere. Refined by Texas salt & smoke.

The seafood boil was VERY hot in MILD and the spicy is HOT however, the flavors were flavoring! We got a combo 4 seafood boils , and a burger( which was great option for those who do nt enjoy quality seafood and fried apple pie rolls . Our family of 6p was about $225, and gratuity was included. They have QR menu and medium soulful music playing, a full bar and Happy Hour!

When I explained that I had never been charged in the past, she told me she had been working there a long time and had never seen me before. At that point, it felt like I was being called a liar. I made it clear that I had no problem paying the charge--I was only asking when the policy changed. The issue wasn't the cost; it was the way I was treated. I didn't recall anything bad about the place, and given the rave reviews since then, I thought it was time to return. Based on reviews, we showed up early on a Friday evening (~5 pm). Even at that time, it was mostly full, but we were able to snag seats at the bar, which is first come first serve. We ordered the "regular" grilled oysters (5/5), which were anything but regular, as they were topped with peanuts and a really great flavor. I'd get these again. Fair warning, these take 20 minutes to come out, which I didn't mind, but I did not realize that they would not bring us anything else until after the oysters since these are considered an app. I thought they'd just bring things out as they were ready. This meant, we did not get our crawfish until we were already sitting there for an hour. About halfway into the wait for the crawfish (after the oysters), the fried rice (1/5) showed up, and I have to say, it was underwhelming. It came out room temperature, which to me is cold, and I thought this was just how they do it. Except 15 minutes later, the seats next to us got their fried rice, and it came out piping hot. You could still see the steam coming off of it. Besides being cold, I didn't think the fried rice was that good in terms of flavor. I also generally prefer the short grain rice, and this was more of a long grain. Once the crawfish showed up, we were well past an hour, so we dove right into it. Both the garlic butter and combo mix were great flavor - some of the best I've had in Houston. However.... it made me remember why we did not return. About 20% of the crawfish were TINY. And by tiny, I mean they were smaller than my pinky finger. Maybe I'm a crawfish snob, but at this time of the season, there should not be that many tiny crawfish. Maybe a few small ones, but not tiny. Crawfish flavor = 5+/5, crawfish quality = 2/5, crawfish cook = 3/5. Then I made the mistake of ordering a cluster of snow crab. That took another 30+ min to come out, and it was again room temperature. The service at the bar was fine (4/5), but the kitchen service (1/5) is not something I want to experience again, especially not for the crawfish quality/size. Yes, the flavor was amazing, but I'm not fighting for a table for lukewarm food and 30 min wait time for each dish. The pricing was some of the lowest I've seen ($8.99/lb crawfish), but I'd rather pay $1 more at other places for the quality.
