The crawfish had a nice spicy kick and plenty of seasoning, with enough heat to keep things interesting without being overwhelming. Definitely the reason to come here. HORRIBLE and completely INFLEXIBLE kitchen staff - speaks ZERO English (or conveniently PRETENDS not to ...) and unable to communicate and understand the front of house service staff ... We called and wanted to make a VERY SIMPLE request to order a large SEAFOOD gumbo to go (at the OUTRAGEOUSLY overpriced cost of $9.69) ... We made a simple request to have them put the seafood on the side so we could get a full container of the liquid gumbo - and add the seafood ourselves as we desired. OTHERWISE they fill the container with so much other stuff than the liquid, we get home with almost zero gumbo liquid ... and this has happened on MULTIPLE occasions!!! ... ... which wouldn't be such an issue ... IF ... they only included SEAFOOD ... BUT!!! ... They fill the container with so much SAUSAGE, you hardly get any seafood ... SEE PICTURE! ... Above that, NOWHERE does it say on their menu that sausage is included ... That's FALSE ADVERTISING!!! ... We proceeded to order the large SEAFOOD gumbo and it should ONLY have SEAFOOD in it .... SHEESH!!! ... We get it home and it is filled primarily with sausage ... AGAIN ... We get there and asked to have it made the way we originally requested ... and the server goes to the kitchen and brings back a small container of just the gumbo liquid ... AND we find out the kitchen staff / owner (?) is making HER pay for the container of liquid out of her own pocket!!! WHO DOES THAT!!!??? ESPECIALLY when THEY are the ones who didn't fulfill our original request .... she quite literally had to take out her own wallet and actually pay for OUR gumbo liquid!!!... That is OUTRAGEOUS and COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!! THEY are the ones who could've followed the original instructions - not her - and they have the gall to make her pay for it!!! really enjoy the crawfish at this location, which is why I keep coming back. However, one major downside is that no one ever answers the phone when trying to place an order. When I mentioned this to the lady taking my order, she said they don't answer on weekends--but that's not accurate because I usually come during the week and still can't get through. I prefer to call ahead, pick up my order, and go. Instead, I end up having to wait about 30 minutes because the phones aren't being answered, which is a huge inconvenience. I love seafood and was excited to try this place on the recommendation of several of my coworkers. Unfortunately, I was not happy with my food. The fried rice was fine. It was suitable for what my daughter wanted at the time. But I was not happy with my seafood. I have requested a mild garlic butter because I don't like anything too spicy. However, upon receiving my food, it was so spicy that I couldn't enjoy it. I ended up leaving the majority of my seafood and everything else on my plate, but I had specifically asked for mild and they told me that they could make it happen. I ordered a boil combo that included snow crab, shrimp and mussels with corn, potatoes and sausage along w/a pound of crawfish. For my husband, I ordered a chicken sandwich. Went to Mikes Seafood today in Cypress... here's the review: I know it's too early to judge size... but these were tiny, not small but tiny, I left about a pound behind because of this. Again... I know it's not "in season" yet. Though, I've seen posts about better sizes, and I want you to be prepared. My picture doesn't show justice to the real size. The wait was crazy, they weren't that busy at all and we waited well over 30 minutes for all our food to come out. I had sampled an Ultra from draft and it was flat. I asked for Modelo and the girl at the register told me all the draft beer comes back as flat and its better to just buy bottled, which I did. They do have frozen drinks... I got a mix of two of them and it was great. My kids loved their Chicken Wings, Chicken Tenders and fries, the portions on those were good. I wish the hushpuppies were labeled as Jalapeño hushpuppues, so you're aware. They weren't the sweet ones I was expecting. The staff was so polite. Overall... 5/10. My white girlfriend could not handle the spice, had to take multiple breaks. If you're white, stick to medium. If you really like spicy food, spicy should be fine. My biggest problem with the crawfish was that a good portion of them were squishy dead and inedible. Out of the 7 pounds that we got, I think 1 pound was completely inedible. It did taste good though don't get me wrong, it just wasn't anything special. The potato was a potato. You're paying a dollar for a potato. The corn was out of this world spicy. I don't know if it was because it was sitting in a bag of crawfish juices, but I could not handle it. Maybe I'm a bitch. I haven't had a good crawfish fix and have been wanting some for a while. I decided to call and order from Mike's seafood. $7.99 a lb for crawfish!!! I definitely had to check them out. Service was friendly and quick when ordering a pickup as well. I added 2 hardboiled eggs to my 4lb crawfish order. I wanted the spicy garlic, which was a great choice! Just enough spice to hurt a little good. The crawfish were nice and big. SUPER tasty... It got the job done for sure. I think this place is underrated. Did a pickup order for 3 pounds of shrimp and 2 eggs today and was disappointed to see how much shrimp came in the bag. I ordered the grilled catfish with side of crawfish tail fried rice, As you can see you get a lot of food the fish looks well seasoned but it's not overly spicy at all in fact for my liking season needs to be added to it. The fried rice is good nothing to write home about I had to eat my meal with the sriracha sauce to give it some flavor for my liking. The service was great the lady at counter was friendly and answered all questions I had about the menu. It was slow at the time I was the only one in the restaurant and it was after 12 so it was quiet but very clean. I was referred to try this place by a close friend, my first time eating at this place. I place a to go order, I go pick it up and I give the cashier my name, I'm looking at my order. She told me she didn't have it, so she asked to see my email, she took her ball point pen and tried to place it on my phone to scroll, I already had it pulled up for her so I moved my phone out of the way to stop her from writting or damaging my phone with the ball point pen, she got an attitude and slammed my food down on the counter with an attitude. I stopped here about a week ago because I was craving some shrimp fried rice and I hadn't eaten here in a while, so I thought I would stop by and patronize them. However when I started to scan over the menu, I saw crawfish fried rice and I thought that sounded delicious. So, I switched from shrimp fried rice to crawfish fried rice and I'm glad I did. Upon arrival, I was greeted by two young ladies who welcomed me in. I didn't get their names but they appeared to be high school age. I was impressed by how they handled me professionally and they were well-mannered. I inquired about the crawfish rice, asking them both if they've tried it before and if it's good or not. Both girls said they had tried it, and that it's delicious, and they really liked it. After that, I was highly convinced to give it a try. They took my order, asked for my name, and informed me that there would be a ten minute wait time. When my order was ready, they called my name and it was ready in ten minutes as promised. If I hadn't been in a hurry, I would have dined in. The place wasn't too busy and it was really nice and quiet with a few TV monitors along the walls for entertainment. When I got in my car to leave, I couldn't wait to get home to try the rice because of the tantalizing seafood aromas floating in the air. So, I opened it and took a peek. Why did I do that? OMG, I had to take a bite right there in the parking lot. It looked so appetizing and inviting, lol. I literally was sitting in the parking lot in my truck going in on that Crawfish fried rice, forgetting that I was in a hurry. It was absolutely delicious, a little heavy on the salt, but still delicious. The seafood flavors were evident in each and every scrumptious bite. Also, it was extremely plentiful with crawfish, almost to the point where there was more crawfish to rice ratio. They were not stingy with the crawfish at all, which is a surprise because most seafood places will stiff you by giving you 20 pounds of rice and five pieces of shrimp, lol. Not to mention, I purchased a medium size Crawfish Fried Rice but it was so much rice and crawfish, enough to feed at least three to four people as a side dish. I can just imagine what their large fried rice looks like. Geez! Overall, this establishment has some great tasting seafood dinners and a clean dining area. Customer service is really good. Like I mentioned previously, the two young ladies that waited on me were greeting each customer as they entered the restaurant. They were friendly and welcoming. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. I paid $11 for a medium size crawfish fried rice and it was well worth it. In the past, I've had their shrimp fried rice which was also delicious and plentiful. They also have lime pepper wings on the menu which are incredibly mouthwatering and tantalizing. Decided to try this place so me and my daughters fam and some friends all met up to try. Pulling up to the place it looks like a typical fast food place and sorta small, I wonder if it was one before. When you walk inside the place looks fresh and modern with nice decorations and tile on walls. Due to size not a whole lot of tables but surprisingly the layout and amount of tables work. When we walked in the place was packed and we needed 4 tables...but we got seating without any issues. The odd thing but only because I haven't seen this before, when you walk o you walk into an ordering lines you place your order and they give you beepers and then you get a table. Place has a really large menu with a lot of options. We got crab legs, crawfish. Burger, fish basket and fish poboys. All the food was hot and fresh and tasted really good. My bread for the poboy was really good and fresh NOT stale like some places I've been to. Got here at 7pm on a Sat and from order to table we had our food in 10 mins. This place is the truth. Let me tell you Mikes seafood is one of the best seafood spots I've been to I was holding off writing this review because I used to work at the Wells fargo that was right next to it and I didn't want anybody to know that I worked at a bank. I was a regular here at this restaurant for over two years and let me tell you they have some of the best service. They're very kind. The food is amazing. A pro tip of mine is if you're getting anything with rice ask for a side of Mike sauce it's extra money but it's worth it. Their portions are ginormous. Their fish is crispy and their seafood is fresh. I think I regularly ate here maybe four times a week when I worked at Wells Fargo the manager is so kind even when there's a big line she greets you and says hello. I no longer live in the area, but I do swing by this location from time to time because my sister still lives in Cypress. Honestly, I'm not a big french fries person so I always upgrade everything to fried rice even if it's just plain fried rice I don't mind but my favorite easiest cleanest dish to eat when I was on lunch break was the crawfish fried rice. Sometimes I would hold off on eating lunch and have it for dinner so that I could have a couple beers after work. Even when the dining room was packed with people and they had a line of to go orders and never took more than maybe 15 minutes for my orders to be completed and I recommend you always get a side of boiled eggs made spicy and get some sausage. You always need sausage when you're having seafood. Their boiled shrimp and the spicy sauce is honestly the bomb if you cannot handle spice though get it mild. This isn't your typical sit down restaurant you order at a counter and they bring you the food on a tray and on to go plates I think or a bucket if you order seafood boil. The service is quick and friendly. The vibes are nice. They have trendy music playing and the interior is pretty cute for a seafood restaurant. Mikes is one of the best seafood spots that I regularly go to and I mean regularly because my husband does not eat seafood, so I try to go here as often as I can. Customer service is horrible today was my first time visiting here and I asked questions about the platter which was $37.99 and came with everything I wanted just included mussels that i'm not a fan of instead of the guy inquiring I put the mussels on the side he sat up and charged me individually for three items out of the platter and when I asked about the eggs he said it would be an additional charge when as you see I had already paid more than the platter B price. i was definitely unsatisfied with the service and don't see myself going back anytime soon read more

We got a boil of snow crab legs/shrimp/eggs/corn/potatoes, bbq chicken wings, crawfish rice, seafood soup, alligator, fried catfish/fried shrimp and a jumbo shrimp PoBoy...plus frozen drinks, which they let us sample the 3 flavors first to decide‍I'm telling you, JUST the personal experience of their customer service, was definitely 5-STAR‍ The food was delicious ‍screaming hot and not OVER DONE...it's seasoned well (we got the super spicy garlic)but not too much, to where you can't taste the actual seafood...‍ The star for me was the crawfish ricefull of crawfish and the rice was PERFECTLY SEASONED!!!! Soooooooo delicious!!!! My daughter got the crab boil bag and said it was better than 88boil and another place downtown they all go...she also had the wings and said they were better than Wing Stop, her usual wing go to‍ Everything was 10/10 My only throw off, was there are no crab crackers thingy and the plastic silverware set is really small/flimsy ‍so I'd definitely bring my own flatware and crab claw cracker the NEXT TIME ‍ There will definitely be many many more "Next times"!!! As soon as we walked in Kyra was at the register to greet us with a smile. As we prepared to place an order I noticed new charges. 3% for credit cards, $.50 cent for Mike's sauce and air conditioner broke. I was like JESUS, they need some money. But it was really cool in there with the portable air conditioners, but there was only 2 other families so it was not crowded. I normally come in Mike's and spend $60-$70 easy. I think all customers who spend a certain amount should at least get 2 sauces. I understand inflation but when you spend a certain amount charging for sauces is RIDICULOUS!! The FOOD IS ALWAYS DELICIOUS CRAWFISH Spicy Garlic is always on point. Right amount of seasoning and flavor, This is coming from a New Orleans Lady Lemon Pepper Wings are to die for. After a little bit of absence, I finally went back to Mike Seafood. Since I recently moved, this restaurant is about a 30 minute drive now. It was definitely worth the distance. I want ahead and ordered my go to item which is the four peas fried catfish with french fries. Since the indoor was pretty packed, I decided to sit in the patio. The food was ready within 10 minutes. Fish was so nicely coated n seasoned and fired to perfection. French fries were golden crispy and they still have the best tartar sauce in the city. I love the snow crabs garlic sauce here its legit and love those softer fries if u ever grab come get some chicken tenders and some snow crab legs, I know its pricey but hey it does have the spicy kick with plenty of garlic bulbs spices mixed in well that it can be so tasty succulent finger licking good. I wish I took a photo but was so in hurry to finish without leaving a photo to show. AS you can see I don't eat if its smells especially with seafood they can get really stinky if not seasoned right or fresh at all, so if they stay and maintain consistency it can be my go to for crabby legs, just have to splurge a lil bit bc u didn't have to do the dirty work on seasoning them well, til next time I can give a next update review next year. read more

Well just so you guys no I went to the location on 529 last night around 8:30 p.m had the misfortune of ordering the fried crawfish tails and popcorn shrimp with combination fried rice and egg roll. The crawfish was so nasty and dry over cooked. Had no taste whatsoever, tasted like it was cooked in old grease. The fried shrimp was nasty as well salty and dry but not as tasty as the crawfish. The rice was okay. But my rice did not look like this picture. Did not have a lot of shrimp in it just 3 medium shrimp and small pieces of sausage. I was so disappointed when I got home to eat this food. Wasted my money on food my family was unable to eat. I have never ordered fried crawfish or shrimp there before. I just want to warn everyone please don't order these items. I was so disappointed and you can't call them to tell them their food sucked cause they don't answer the phone,lol! The best crawfish I have had hands down. They are cooked fresh so there is a little wait, but well worth it. The spicy may be too spicy for some but I enjoyed them. The corn or potatoes are extra but very inexpensive. The crawfish were also huge and served with melted butter. It is about 35 minutes away from me but next time I want crawfish, I will make the drive. You order at the front counter and pick them up from there as well. But don't let that deter you. I came here for lunch with some friends so I didn't feel like eating crawfish but I gotten the fried oyster poboy and wow it was allot of food and very affordable! I was surprised.
