Ok so the first time I ordered I had oxtails with rice and beans!!! The oxtails had a little fat. But nothing too crazy! I also ordered a beef patty with cocoa bread!! Omg perfection!!! Even after the patty and bread cooled off I reheated in the airfryer and it was like I just ordered it!!! I double back often even if just for the patties and cocoa bread. Oh don't forget a Ting!!! The staff regardless if you call or show up in person is so sweet and kind! The restaurant is intimate yet spacious enough to dine in. My go to for sure!!! read more

The Combination Entree - Chicken (curry & brown stew) you can forget about that...I don't think I've ever had any food as bland as it ever same for the brown stew super bland no flavor at all it. It taste like boiled chicken that was redipped in water. I wouldn't recommend this at all. My wife said the vegan chickpeas were really good so maybe they just stick to vegan food because this is the worst jamaican food I may have ever had. 2 stars simply because of the vegan food. read more

The spouse felt for Jamaican food so he wanted to try this place out....about a 20 min drive not very far from us We got here and no one was here probably because it was closer to closing time... Walk in and you here the reggae playing on one of the three tvs they had here Young lady greeted as we walked in and she took our order...very nice Of course the spouse ordered the food he ordered the 2 meat combo...fried chicken and oxtail and of course I ordered the curry goat...my fav It's a nice little spot very clean very intimate They even have children seats which means it's family friendly They even have a little arcade game of Ms Pac-Man while waiting for your food too cute You can smell the food throughout the place which is not a bad thing cause it smelled good Made my way to the restroom and the restroom is very clean as well So after about a 20 25 minute wait got our food and went home and opened the food and it was okay nothing big....it was flavorful but it was missing that ummph... I came here for the first time and had a great experience. The cashier and owner had great friendly customer service! I ordered the curry chicken and it was so good it didn't make it home lol. The chicken was very flavorful and the rice and beans were so fresh. I will be back to try the jerk chicken. I've had their food twice this month and each time it was absolutely amazing. Yesterday we had the Wednesday special which is basically red beans and rice and it was so good. Also got the chicken combo plate with curry chicken and brown stew chicken so good ... but earlier this month we had oxtails and I'm so glad that this place is consistent. read more

We ordered to go it took the food 45 minutes to come out! There was one family in the restaurant eating, one other person came to pickup and then us. The food was okay! It was very spicy with lots of white pepper, and for a large oxtail for $28 and a $13 small Jerk chicken Xtra for $5 plantains our total was $56 it was the driest oxtail and Jerk chicken we have ever had and we have had way better jamaican food! Who serves broccoli and cauliflower instead of cabbage with oxtail and Jerk chicken? Very disappointed. read more

Being Jamaican, Im always looking for a good authentic Yard food spot. My job takes me all over so when I saw this place I thought why not try it out. It's really really good! I now eat here average of once a week towards the end of my shift. I always bring food home as portions are good. I love the Brown Stew and Curry chicken and the Jerk is good too. Happened to drive past this place on my way from voting, I had never seen or heard of it, so I made a U-turn and decided to give it a try. I just ordered a beef patty to go along with the lunch I already had. The beef patty was good, wish it was a little more firm and flaky, but none the less the flavor was there. I look forward to going back and trying more things now that I know they are there. Seems like a family ran spot, small and quaint with an elder Jamaican man sitting by the door. My wife and I stopped in for the grand opening today! She ordered the Ox tails, and I ordered the Jerk chicken. We also ordered some beef patties as an appetizer while we waited for our meals. I had never had a beef patty before, it's a pie crust pocket filled with seasoned beef. And it was so delicious. It's not spicy (maybe black pepper level) so if you're not into spicy foods this is an excellent item to try. My meal came with 2 pieces of jerk chicken and one piece of jerk pork (?!) Lol I honestly don't mind because I had a hard time deciding which of the two I wanted and I got to try both! All I have to say is wow the flavor was so amazing, both meats were phenomenal and the side of steamed cabbage was cooked to perfection. The meal came with jerk sauce which was a nice touch. I got to try my wife's Ox tails and they were so tender and savory. We will be coming back! read more

my family has been twice so far and all we can say is the only sound you'll be hearing is the sound of our chewing. Food is delicious. have had the oxtails, curry, and jerk chicken and all of it is soooooo good. Love the family feel of it all. I tried food at Daisy's a few weeks ago and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered two oxtail meals and one curry goat meal for myself and my family. Everyone enjoyed the food! The restaurant is nicely decorated and there are tables for you to dine in. The young lady at the register was very friendly and helpful. I plan to return soon for more! So disappointed ! Terrible food and terrible attitude! Our food was cold and dry . We ordered Oxtails, Stew chicken and a beef Pattie. The beef patties was old and cold ! The oxtails were tough and dry ! I went in to ask for more gravy but was told they "packed up" for the day. Yet, people were still picking up food ! Rice & Peas were dry and cabbage was salty. Both plates were cold ... I informed them off all this and they completely disregarded and disagreed with me about food I JUST purchased . The lady's attitude was disgustingly rude and I was refused a refund. She stated she would give me a free beef Pattie "next time" as if I would EVER go back there again. I had to slow cook the oxtails more and make my own gravy at home ! My son threw his entire plate away . This is disappointing because I was excited to have Caribbean food near my home . I always have to drive to the Northside to get quality Jamaican food . But I'll make that trip any day versus ordering from here again . read more
