We started by ordering coffee, but unfortunately, one of the cups was dirty and had what appeared to be lipstick on it. The tables also had a noticeable smell, almost like a wet rag, but we tried to overlook that. We ordered a hamburger plate with fries, which was good. We also ordered a waffle plate with eggs and bacon, along with a side of hash browns. Unfortunately, the hash browns were bland and appeared to have no seasoning at all. Our waitress appeared to be very young and seemed unsure of what to do at times. I also overheard the table behind me mention that their order was not correct. One of the customers politely asked for sugar-free syrup, but the waitress did not seem to understand what she was asking for. The customer remained polite and simply said it was okay and that she would use what they had brought her. The biggest disappointment for us was the waffle, which was cold and hard. I took one small bite from one of the waffle squares just to taste it, and when I asked if I could get something else instead, they refused because I had already taken a bite. I only took that one bite to determine if the waffle was as hard as it appeared. After the waffle incident, before my mom had even finished eating, the waitress asked if I wanted the check already. I found the timing a little odd and couldn't help but wonder if they were trying to rush us out, although I can't say for sure. I'm giving this experience one star because, while the hamburger and fries were good, the overall experience was disappointing. The dirty coffee cup, unpleasant smell from the tables, unseasoned hash browns, cold and hard waffle, and the way the waffle situation was handled by the staff were too many issues to overlook. I had the daily special croissant breakfast sandwich and hunny had the huevos rancheros. He said the sauce could have been a little hotter but we really didn't ask to see if there was another sauce. Spring Break 03/12/2024 This was my first visit at this establishment but my husband's second visit. I've come across this establishment on Yelp quite a few times when searching for breakfast/brunch restaurants in my area. I've even driven past it quite a few times in the past and was sort of iffy about trying them out. However, it turns out, I quite rather enjoyed the food and service. Firstly, this is not an upscale breakfast/brunch establishment but rather your typical local diner that serves breakfast and lunch menu items. The dining room is pretty clean and well-kept. Customer service was excellent! Our server, Rodolfo, was very welcoming, friendly, and attentive during our entire visit! He greeted us as we walked in and told us to find a table wherever we would like to be seated and that he would be with us momentarily. I absolutely appreciate great customer service, especially when I'm spending my hard earned money patronizing any establishment. It makes me want to continue to come back and spend more money. Rodolfo brought us a menu and took our drink orders, in which I ordered a hot cup of coffee and hubby ordered orange juice. He offered me various choices of cream to accompany my cup of coffee and I went with my favorite flavor, hazelnut. My coffee was actually hot and not lukewarm like I've been served at other establishments in the past. So, I definitely appreciate that. Thanks Rodolfo. Secondly, for our food, I ordered an omelet consisting of spinach, mushroom, jalapeños, tomatoes, and onions, with turkey sausage and hash brown on the side. I really enjoyed my breakfast! The hash brown stole the show being that it was authentically prepared homemade style. The spinach and mushrooms that were on my omelet were very fresh, which was so refreshing. I love fresh vegetables rather than old withered ones, which sometimes I've had different restaurants try to get over on me by serving me some old worn out vegetables. But not here. My only complaint is that they do not serve avocado or cilantro, two ingredients that I love on my omelets. However, the food was still delicious and enjoyable. Furthermore, my husband ordered a waffle, scrambled eggs, and turkey sausage (well done). He enjoyed everything except for the waffle and complained to me that it was too soggy and spongy-like making it difficult to cut into it, instead of possessing a crunchy texture and easy to break apart. He said that it was as if he had to wrestle with the waffle to break it apart, which could only lead to one's imagination that the waffles served at this establishment are frozen waffles that are heated in a microwave versus waffles that are prepared on a waffle maker. However, he said that the eggs were scrambled to perfection without any of the brown scorching that he so despises and without all the wet residue on his plate because the eggs have been undercooked. The orange juice was nice and cold and very refreshing. Overall, hubby and I enjoyed our dining experience at Roy's Breakfast and Brunch diner. The food was served in nice portions and was hot and fresh. The ambiance is moderate noise with diners conversing over a hot meal. The dining area and overall presentation of the restaurant was pretty neat and clean, so no complaints there. Parking is plentiful as it is in a small business strip with other businesses. The place was not busy at all when my husband and I first arrived. However, as we were dining, more and more patrons began to walk through the door. So, the place can get busy around a certain time of day. I believe it was around 9:30-10:00 am at the time of our visit. I like this place and will return. Highly recommended for those who enjoy local diners that serve delicious somewhat authentic hot breakfast/brunch. read more

I took my daughter and we both ate with drinks and a good tip for $30. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. It comes with toast and hash browns. I also got coffee. The hash browns and Scrambled eggs were excellent. My daughter had the chicken strips and fries and was also very happy with her food. The atmosphere was laid back but they are also concerned whether their customers are satisfied. They have a 50's 60's jukebox playing inside for atmosphere which was cute. I had no clue that I had a great diner literally in my backyard. We just pulled up google after church and searched for breakfast and this popped up. SO we decided to take a try. We were a little scared at first because there were just a few cars in the lot but apparently we were there early. When we walked in it was freezing. I told the hostess to make my food to go because it was too cold and she literally turned down the air for me. I felt like their only customer. So we were off to a good start. We ordered the porkchops and the omlet and the food was plenty and awesome. I loved it. It was seasoned to perfection and i had enough to take home for lunch. Horrible experience with service. I walked in and sat at table and after 10 minutes not one person stopped at table to provide a menu or even speak. A white couple came in and sat at table directly in front of me and with in 2 minutes they had menus and water at their table. The waiter saw me and she knew nothing was in my table and she still did nothing. We looked right at each other. Then another waiter was walking the floor and as she came around to the side of room I where I was sitting and she asked table behind me if they needed anything and walked by me without saying one word.
