    Pork Chops & Eggs

Tried it for the first time. Nice establishment, service was good. I ordered the pork chop breakfast, the hashbrowns were good, my pork chop was a bit dry and needed some seasoning. I went due to the reviews but wasn't completely impressed. My daughter had the chicken fried chicken and she absolutely loved it.

This is a mom and pop breakfast place. The food is good and fresh. For us, the food came out within 5 minutes of ordering on a Saturday morning- super fast! I would recommend this place to people who want a quick affordable breakfast, not someone looking for a fun brunch vibe. The ambiance is simple, plain, but clean. My husband had a croissant breakfast sandwich and I had the western omelette. Both came with a good amount of home-fries/hash browns. Both were good and a good price.

Everything. Amazing. Best brunch ever. Would come here daily if i had the $!!!! Chicken fried chicken is fried to the perfect crisp.. the hasbrowns n eggs that come with it ... omg.. mixed it all tg with some of their cholula hot sauce, pepper, on top of that with a choice of white/wheat bread to put on top of it ! Yo and this veggie omelette BOMB too you can already see im bout to mix that all upppe the service is great , easy to order. Ambiance is spacious n calming. Small but peaceful as it is not a packed restaurant.. great prices for the portion sizes of the food... i mean look at da omelette!

Spring Break 03/12/2024 This was my first visit at this establishment but my husband's second visit. I've come across this establishment on Yelp quite a few times when searching for breakfast/brunch restaurants in my area. I've even driven past it quite a few times in the past and was sort of iffy about trying them out. However, it turns out, I quite rather enjoyed the food and service. Firstly, this is not an upscale breakfast/brunch establishment but rather your typical local diner that serves breakfast and lunch menu items. The dining room is pretty clean and well-kept. Customer service was excellent! Our server, Rodolfo, was very welcoming, friendly, and attentive during our entire visit! He greeted us as we walked in and told us to find a table wherever we would like to be seated and that he would be with us momentarily. I absolutely appreciate great customer service, especially when I'm spending my hard earned money patronizing any establishment. It makes me want to continue to come back and spend more money. Rodolfo brought us a menu and took our drink orders, in which I ordered a hot cup of coffee and hubby ordered orange juice. He offered me various choices of cream to accompany my cup of coffee and I went with my favorite flavor, hazelnut. My coffee was actually hot and not lukewarm like I've been served at other establishments in the past. So, I definitely appreciate that. Thanks Rodolfo. Secondly, for our food, I ordered an omelet consisting of spinach, mushroom, jalapeños, tomatoes, and onions, with turkey sausage and hash brown on the side. I really enjoyed my breakfast! The hash brown stole the show being that it was authentically prepared homemade style. The spinach and mushrooms that were on my omelet were very fresh, which was so refreshing. I love fresh vegetables rather than old withered ones, which sometimes I've had different restaurants try to get over on me by serving me some old worn out vegetables. But not here. My only complaint is that they do not serve avocado or cilantro, two ingredients that I love on my omelets. However, the food was still delicious and enjoyable. Furthermore, my husband ordered a waffle, scrambled eggs, and turkey sausage (well done). He enjoyed everything except for the waffle and complained to me that it was too soggy and spongy-like making it difficult to cut into it, instead of possessing a crunchy texture and easy to break apart. He said that it was as if he had to wrestle with the waffle to break it apart, which could only lead to one's imagination that the waffles served at this establishment are frozen waffles that are heated in a microwave versus waffles that are prepared on a waffle maker. However, he said that the eggs were scrambled to perfection without any of the brown scorching that he so despises and without all the wet residue on his plate because the eggs have been undercooked. The orange juice was nice and cold and very refreshing. Overall, hubby and I enjoyed our dining experience at Roy's Breakfast and Brunch diner. The food was served in nice portions and was hot and fresh. The ambiance is moderate noise with diners conversing over a hot meal. The dining area and overall presentation of the restaurant was pretty neat and clean, so no complaints there. Parking is plentiful as it is in a small business strip with other businesses. The place was not busy at all when my husband and I first arrived. However, as we were dining, more and more patrons began to walk through the door. So, the place can get busy around a certain time of day. I believe it was around 9:30-10:00 am at the time of our visit. I like this place and will return. Highly recommended for those who enjoy local diners that serve delicious somewhat authentic hot breakfast/brunch.

If you are looking for a laid back local (not a chain) serving American style breakfast and lunch in Cypress, Roy's is a good choice. I took my daughter and we both ate with drinks and a good tip for $30. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. It comes with toast and hash browns. I also got coffee. The hash browns and Scrambled eggs were excellent. My daughter had the chicken strips and fries and was also very happy with her food. The atmosphere was laid back but they are also concerned whether their customers are satisfied. They have a 50's 60's jukebox playing inside for atmosphere which was cute. Service was professional and courteous. I would go back.

Western omelette, which comes with has browns and toast. I ordered a waffle as well.

I love supporting "mom & pop" establishments. They can be hit or miss, but Roy's was a definite hit. The restaurant itself was spacious and comfortable. The service was great. The waitress was attentive and nice to my sons. The food was delicious. We ate it all. It definitely had a good taste unlike the chain restaurants. We will be going back.

1st visit was great. But this 2nd visit no so good. 50% of the tables were dirty when we arrived. Only 1 part time waitress who was clearly overwhelmed and overworked. Service was slow and food, While plentiful was bland. 1st visit we were waited on by the owner. What a difference! This part time waitress had no interest on our satisfaction and it showed. Warm food, got my order wrong and coffee needed refilling. Bottom line: if the owner is there, then yes! If not? The place is not so good.

I was pleasantly surprised with this place. I was really craving pancakes. We also ordered breakfast tacos, French toast, hash browns, toast, & eggs. Everything was freshly prepared and tasty!

If you are going to respond, at least respond with sincerity. We were never offered more hash browns, because we never complained about anything. We were never given more napkins because we never complained about anything. And at the risk of sounding like a broken record, we were never given 30% off because we never complained about anything. Two free tips.. brown your hash browns every time for every customer, 2nd don't make up ridiculous excuses, just apologize and try to do better. Good luck. Ps. I'm downgrading my review to 1 star because of the untruthful reply.

Super cute spot that you can get a regular breakfast. . .the same kind of breakfast that you can cook at home. This is not a bad thing. I usually like those kinds of places. They keep it simple and I am AAALLLL about it. Since this is fairly close to my house, I'll definitely be back again. My kids love it too!!

They accommodated us with our stroller and made it work. I am so excited that I found a farm to table restaurant where I feel like the food is good enough quality to feed my baby. We paid $50 per person for the brunch buffet and the baby was free since she is under 2. The food was delicious! They had an amazing assortment of fresh fruits, cheese, breads, salads, breakfast foods, dips, pasta, and veggies. They also had a carving station with steak and chimichurri sauce. I tried the chicken sausage, steak, beet hummus, tomato salad, whipped feta, biscuits with jam, and an assortment of the veggies & fruits. I also ordered over easy eggs and French toast which they make and bring to the table to keep them fresh but they were included in the buffet. After eating we walked around a bit to see the farm and the animals. Such a cute place for a date or a family outing. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely go back to try their normal menu.

The exterior is just as beautifully decorated. It's clear that chef-owner Lori Pope poured a lot of time, heart, and soul into both the menu and the store's design. The hostess was super friendly. As soon as I walked in, she gave me a warm and smiling greeting. The menu was a feast for the eyes. It had a lot of lovely pictures of the different dishes. I was ecstatic to see that there were so many vegetarian and vegan friendly options. Also, most of the dishes can be requested to be made gluten-free. Big plus. You don't order at your table, instead you go to the counter in the back and make sure to bring the sheet with your table number on it. The gal at the counter who took our order wasn't as friendly as the hostess but she was polite enough to inform us about the 15% charge. The food came out very quickly. Hopefully it's because they had a ton of people working in the back. Hopefully. I ordered the Magic Mushroom Tacos and thought it was a beautiful plate. My favorite thing about the dish is the tortillas. It had a nice light crisp to it and kept all the fillings intact from start to finish. The "Magic Mushrooms" were good but could have been better if the batter were lighter and crispier. The batter was a little on the heavy and dense side for me. I also think the sauce could be even better if it had a bit less oil and a bit more flavor. I really enjoyed the potato slices and the fresh berries were a great way to cleanse the palate. My lunch date ordered the Biscuit and gravy dish and thought it was good. We also ordered a side of the Belgian waffle to share. I thought the waffle on its own was extremely sweet and way too dense for my liking. I am happy there's a locally owned and created brunch place like Harvest Kitchen and will definitely be back to try other dishes. Note: There's an automatic 15% service charge to every order.

When we arrived, the restaurant was empty, and I will say our server was very nice and welcoming. One thing we immediately noticed, though, was that the menu prices were crossed out and changed. The waitress explained that prices have been fluctuating, but it did feel a little unpolished and confusing seeing gouged-out pricing on multiple items. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla, and my wife got the South of the Border omelet. We also had the roasted potatoes, which ended up being a very small portion. My main issue was that several items listed (or expected) didn't come as described. The quesadilla was supposed to come with sour cream and pico, but they weren't served on the side. We were told the pico was inside the quesadilla, which wasn't noted on the menu. Additionally, both dishes had raw, unsautéed onions mixed into the scrambled eggs. That wasn't listed in the description, and I personally don't like raw onions, so it definitely affected the meal for me. I think ingredients like that should be clearly stated. The cheese sauce tasted like standard heated nacho cheese and was very runny, not what we expected from a breakfast dish. The sour cream also tasted off. Overall, while the service was friendly, the food and menu presentation didn't meet expectations. Unfortunately, we probably won't be returning.
