I have been to other JLB locations and loved those pricey burgers. It is an occasional treat. Recently, I phoned in an order to the Spencer near Fry location (20323 Fm 529 Rd). My bacon cheeseburger was ready by the promised time. My only issue with this location (or pet peeve of mine), was when I entered the restaurant, that the floors were sticky. I decided to give them a Mulligan (Wikipedia definition: A second chance to perform an action, usually after the first chance went wrong through bad luck or a blunder). Although the prices are higher than your normal burger places (although one would say it's comparable to prices in the Heights), the portion is huge. They have a 1 lb burger for around $15. That one burger could feed my entire family. It tastes so much better than your normal fast food burger, and definitely better than In N Out down the street (not really but for Houston, it kinda is).
