Chill the milkshake bar as ice cream flavored shakes that i can't even buy in store, and for that i come back, one of the best i've had

Visited on a Sunday afternoon. There were some patrons exiting as I entered, so I was the only one there so my service was quick once I made up my mind on which shake I wanted. I enjoyed seeing the milkshake being blended and it was to the perfect consistency. I ordered the Cookie Monster and it was a good blend of oreo cookie bits and toppings. There was just enough whipped cream. I really liked the decor in the place -heavy emphasis on loving milkshakes and there's nothing wrong with that. I took my shake on the go but think the vibes would be good for a group or family to sit and enjoy desserts. read more

Apparently they've been here for over a decade?! It's such a cute shop, and it's clear they love their community! I mean I saw HS kids on a date, kids doing the provided coloring pages while waiting, and adults gathering provisions for their gatherings all within my one visit. Truly a family business with some AMAZING drinks, side note apparently they do still sale a variety of grilled cheeses?! We walked in and the staff immediately greeted us and explained the process of either picking an already made milkshake or creating our own. We had a great experience ordering a milkshake while soaking in the surrounding ambience. They had lots of old and new board games to play. We used to love Chill for a weekend/evening treat for the kids... But... and there's a big BUT... not sure what to make of it lately. On the last visit, the staff weren't very kind, and the new "owner" was quite brash. A few of the items were out and the order was made incorrectly. When we asked if they could correct it, we were met with attitude. We always prefer to patronize small and family-owned businesses versus commercial chains, however there are a few that make it less appealing to do so when you are met with these vibes. I really hope this experience was a one-off and not indicative of a changed environment.... read more

The inside of the shop is a very sweet, family friendly space with lots of placing to sit. The place smelt like every dessert you could think of honestly. I tried the Coffee Toffee Crunch Milkshake, and my mom tried the Lady Bug with strawberries. Both tasted like heaven...that's all I need to say! read more

Ordering was super easy, we were given a sheet of paper and checked off everything we wanted. We took the sheet to the front, paid for our order, and then waited for our shakes. There's a lot going on inside, which makes it very cool but also hard to find important details. I didn't really know how the pricing worked till I had to pay. I haven't been to this place in over a decade and it did not disappoint and was as good as I remembered it! I did a build your own milkshake which comes with 3 scoops of ice cream you can choose from (I did vanilla, cookies and cream, cookie dough) then you choose whatever mix ins you want! I chose Nutella (a $1 premium but worth it!) and brownie bits. This place brings out the inner kid in me and I haven't been here since I was a teenager' nostalgic and delicious! We love the fact that it is close to our home and easily accessible to anyone. Milkshake is one of the best go to drinks for summer and during late night binging Chill is very chill and I would recommend this place. The sign out front says, "Best milk shakes in Texas!" That's a mighty bold claim!! Walking in, we were greeted promptly and asked if it was our first time visiting. It was mine, but my wife had been there before, so she knew the ropes. On the counter are pens and a menu selection ballot. You fill that out with all your selections, and hand it over. I'm pretty basic when it comes to a milkshake so I ordered a vanilla malt. The wife ordered a birthday cake shake. She tried to order a waffle as well but was told the waffle machine was down. And there in lies my only complaint. Why have the waffle menu cards and ballots (they are separate from the ones for a milkshake) out if the machine is broken? Or, why not put out a sign so you don't waste time filling out a card and getting excited about your order? Anyway, the malt was a dang good malt. Best I've had in years. This is easily the best milkshake bar within a 50 mile radius and I won't be taking any objections. Their selection of shakes is super extensive, yet they're all delicious. You can also customize shakes to your heart's content thanks with the handy order sheets they keep at the front of the shop. The grilled cheese is super standard but good lord do I love the waffles, especially with the cookie butter spread. It's impossible to not find something you'll love here. My only gripe with Chill is that feels kind of understaffed, especially when the students from Klein High get out of classes. So if there's a surge, you might have to wait a while for your order. read more

Invited our 8 year old Basketball team to Chill to end the season. We arrived before the other teammates but decided we would order so as the players came in the line could keep moving. There were 2 employees. A young adult employee and an older adult, both women. The young adult was in the front near the register. No greeting, no I'll be right with you, nothing. This went on for several minutes. We figured maybe she was working on something since there were other people there. Another employee walks in apparently for the next shift. That's when the older adult worker surfaces. The initial employee intentionally hid near the register as if she was working on something to avoid assisting us. As soon as the other worker came she says I've already clocked out and walked out. I immediately called our team and said meet us at Baskin Robins. We have to do a better job guiding the younger generation. If the employee needed to go then the manager should have provided assistance. Instead the employee provided terrible service by intentionally avoiding work 5-7 minutes prior to clocking out. Scooping ice cream may have taken a few minutes. It was ridiculous. Be careful who the face of your small business is. Reputation is vital for continuity. read more

Not easily melted I had the twix and all the candy pieces were perfectly blended in. They had large size games which was cool if you want to hang out. Delicious milkshakes and delicious grilled cheese! I had the cherry Chunk milkshake and added chocolate chips. It was exactly what I wanted! Lots of chunky fillings in the shake. The Monte Cristo was amazing and even though we didn't go in for grilled cheeses, I am so glad I got it. It was the perfect combo of sweet and savory. My husband got the strawberry banana shake and it was just like a strawberry banana smoothie. The Texas was also really good for a simple grilled cheese. We were hesitant about Meunster cheese on a grilled cheese but it definitely worked. I love how they pay attention to the little details here. The giant connect 4, game area with several board games to choose from, and the young ladies and gentleman working there that were so kind and smiled the entire time we were there. I really appreciate how I saw them washing their hands, using gloves to prepare the food, and cleaning all of their work areas when they were finished. Also, the decor and overall vibe was perfect!
