    Happy hours.

My husband discovered this restaurant, so we were eager to dine there. The customer service was excellent, and the food was delicious.

This is what is left of my meal before I boxed it up.

The waitress was amazing but the manager was a bit of a miser. Reprimanding her employees in front of the customers. I ordered the shrimp and grits. This meal comes in an awesomely large size but... if you've ever had shrimp and grits you would know that these were less than the expectations. I ate 2 bites and was done. I Will NOT recommend or ever come back to this place.

It wasn't busy when we stopped in this weekend. The owner/manager greeted and seated us. Upon asking if it was our first visit, she let us know that Tuesday you can get 1 complimentary pancake! Clean, well lit, friendly staff. Mae took care of us. I had wanted the steak and eggs, but after she clarified the steak was grilled and then fried, I opted to go with the shrimp and grits. It came with a soup or salad, so chicken tortilla it was. Grits were hot, topped with 5 medium size, heavily seasoned shrimp, sautéed with onions and bacon. It came with green beans, mashed potatoes and garlic toast. The Boy had a waffle and fried country potatoes. Didn't have a chance to taste any beverages from the bar but the Cypress Slammer did sound good. Maybe next time.

Good breakfast spot had the sunrise special, eggs were cooked perfectly and the homemade sausage patties were delicious but the potatoes need a bit more cooking time. Service is good and a busy ambiance.

First time visiting and everyone was very courteous. It's Tuesday afternoon around 3pm so not at all busy. The ambiance is cool because there's like a 80s/90s rock radio station going on. There's a decent bar; not fully stocked but enough for a good mimosa (I may or may not have had two... lol) or there is beer. Food: So I had the shrimp and grits which was just ok but it was FRESH and hot. I'm partially to certain seasoning because I'm a Louisiana girl. A little hot sauce was a blessing to it. The biscuits were great! And the pancake (Which is free on Tuesday) was pretty good. Service: Kristian was great! Friendly and prompt. My food also came out quickly which I appreciated. That's it. A nice diner open late for those who like breakfast at any time of day like me! They serve other things but I'll have to try it another time.

Large pancakes!!! Good service. We impressed by the portions and definitely pleased.

Good breakfast! Steak and eggs were delicious. The breading on the country fried steak was crispy and tasted scratch made. Service was great (Christina did a good job) and the atmosphere is cozy with multiple seating options. They even have a bar top. I didn't care for the potatoes. They were a little dry. The sausage patty was good though. Big portions and they have sweet tea! $37 for 2 to dine (minus tip).

Would absolutely not recommend. I went there this morning with my 7-year-old daughter who ordered the 3 Silver Dollar Pancakes with apple juice from the kids menu that I believe was $7.99 or that's the price on their menu posted on Facebook. The waitress returned and asked my daughter what kind of toast she wanted with it and listed out: white, wheat, English muffin, or French toast. My daughter replied with the French toast since that is one of her favorites. I thought it was odd they would include that as an option for a bread side, but I didn't question it. I definitely should have. When we were done eating the waitress came with the bill and I just handed her the credit card as I was busy packing up our leftovers and talking to my daughter. I should have looked at the bill more closely and questioned it. It wasn't until she brought it back for me to sign that I noticed they charged me $11.98 for my daughters' pancakes which included $2.99 for the French toast and $2.99 for her juice. When I questioned them about it, they would only refund me $3 for the apple juice. Ridiculous.

It's Crawfish Season and The Nest Diner is bringing the flavor! The sizes and flavors of the crawfish meals are fantastic! They even have hand washing stations in the back of the dining room which was a very thoughtful addition! I have been to several restaurants in the Cypress area for crawfish and this one is hands down the best on price, seasoning and portion sizes! This is my favorite place for breakfast as well. They have FREE PANCAKES ON TUESDAYS! The breakfast is delicious and huge portion sizes even on the kids menu! This local family-owned diner always has great service! The owners, including husband, wife and son, are literally right there serving customers and ensuring the best experience possible, even on to-go orders! If you ever have an issue, ask to speak to the owners and I am certain they will do whatever needed to make it right. They are soo kind and passionate about their business and serving our community.

I'd been eyeballing this place as soon as the sign posted up - The Nest Diner On this day, they didn't have lunch entrees available (Understandable because they just opened). They did have the full breakfast menu along with sandwiches/burgers. Staff was very attentive and friendly - they kept our waters filled and prompt service. Clean environment - had both Tabasco sauces with ketchup readily available on the table. I went with an All American Burger, my wife got the Amigos Bowl and my son grabbed the Sunrise Breakfast. Burger was run of the mill - you could tell they used pre made patties. Fries were crispy curly and seasoned. Prolly won't get it again. 7/10 The eggs looked really good on the Sunrise Breakfast - like they attained the perfect consistency of scrambledness. Ham steak was groovy and potatoes were the usual. 8/10 The Amigos Bowl stole the show with a nice mix of eggs and veggies with proper chorizo blended throughout. Covered on top of country potatoes and melted cheese on top for the win! 9.5/10

An outing with my grand niece and my wife and daughter. We started off with chips and queso and this stuff was addictive! I was worried about the chip to queso ratio, being left with too much queso and no chips. But it turned out perfect. My daughter had ordered a patty melt, my wife got a loaded baked potato and I ordered a Hot Bob with jalapeños and pepper jack cheese. Oh and a kid's cheeseburger for my grand niece (with pickles on the side for the wife.) First up the Little Mavericks cheeseburger. I didn't eat it and neither did my grand niece. No judgement I'm sure it was fine. My wife liked her baked potato and the pickles. I tried it and it's a baked potato. The large bits of bacon were very good. My Hot Bob with Pepper Jack cheese was delectable. The burger was juicy and sloppy but the bun held firm until the end. That's a perfect burger according my scale. The jalapeño and pepper jack added the perfect amount of heat. My daughter said the patty melt was good but Whataburger's is better. I tried a nibble and kind of agree, but I'll hold my opinion until I get a proper bite! The server was nice and accommodating and very attentive. She offered a "To Go" container for the uneaten Little Maverick cheeseburger before I even asked. Creekwood Grill is in my neighborhood. I passed it for years and never stopped, turns out that was a big mistake. I will definitely be back.

"Crispy Onion Rings + Classic Comfort Food" 02-06-26…read more This place came highly recommended by a coworker, and I must say, it was worth the risk of trying something new. My husband and I came for an early Friday evening dinner, and we were genuinely impressed. Customer service was good, not over the top, but definitely decent and pleasant. The atmosphere felt comfortable and inviting. They played a nice mix of music (blues, soul, Tejano, light rock, country, and more) at a mid-volume on the overhead speakers. There were also mounted flat-screens, but they weren't turned on, which I actually didn't mind. One of the coolest perks is the self-serve ice cream station, and the ice cream is delicious. It has that old-fashioned, rich vanilla flavor, like the 1950s when food tasted much better. On top of that, although not self-serve, they also have a "Shakes & Malts and Warm Cookies" station, which is such a fun touch. The dining area is large with plenty of seating options, (booths and tables), and everything looked clean and tidy. They also have a self-serve beverage station that was clean and well-stocked. Now for the best part: the food! Just a heads-up, this place believes in large portion sizes, and I'm not mad at it! I ordered the Mississippi Catfish Platter, and it was loaded. It came with 4 large catfish pieces, Texas toast, onion rings, and two sides. I chose the creamy whipped potatoes and coleslaw. My husband ordered the Mississippi Catfish with fried shrimp and French fries, and his plate also came with Texas toast and onion rings. I tasted one of his shrimp and it was delectable! OMG! My only complaint is that the fish could have been fried a little crispier with a little crunch to it. It was just too soft for my liking. Food Ratings: Mississippi Catfish Platter -- 4/5: Delicious flavor, but it wasn't crispy/crunchy--more soft than I expected Shrimp & Catfish Platter -- 4/5 Mia's Queso Dip -- 3/5 Mashed Potatoes -- 5/5: Thick consistency but still creamy Onion Rings -- 5/5: Cooked to perfection--crispy and crunchy Coleslaw -- 3/5: Not my favorite. It had more of a vinaigrette vibe, and I prefer a mayo-based, tangy slaw French Fries -- 3/5: Served hot, but nothing special Overall, I highly recommend Mia's Table if you're looking for simple comfort food without all the fancy extras. The atmosphere is chill and relaxing, perfect for unwinding after a long work week or for those lazy nights when you just don't feel like cooking.

I used the bread on the table to eat with my pasta. A nice French bread would have worked. The parking, not really their fault but lot of people park in their lot to go to the outlet stores. I love the seating and interior, but the best thing about The Cheesecake Factory is the variety offered in their extensive menu and the quality of the food. This one fits the bill. It was a shopping day with the wife and daughter with lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. We started off with the Egg Roll Sampler Appetizer and it was a great start. The variety of tastes was the star of the show mixing and matching, trying to find the best sauce ratio. My favorite was the chicken taquito. My wife loved the cheeseburger and I can't fault her for it because they were great. Obviously my wife has great taste. My daughter said the Avocado egg roll was the best. I tried it and hated it, AVOCADOS ARE GROSS! For our entrees my daughter got the Seared Tuna Tataki Salad, my wife ordered the soup (cream of chicken) and salad with Caesar dressing. I decided to try something new and got the Steak Diane (woo hoo retro.) My daughter's Seared Ahi Tuna Salad was fantastic. The tuna was cooked well, though it could've been a bit more fatty. The salad was fresh and crisp and the dressing was bright and tangy with undernotes of sesame oil. My wife's soup and salad was great. The soup was homey and reminiscent of a rich pot pie. The Caesar dressing on the salad was spectacular. It was creamy and tangy just like Caesar should be. Now for my Steak Diane, I'm so glad I decided to try something new. You know, take me back to the fancy restaurants of the mid century because this dish was divine. The steak was in bite sized pieces but cooked perfectly. I loved the richness of the Diane sauce and the crisp mushrooms. For desert we had the Pineapple Upside Down cheese cake. It was delicious, a wonderful sweet desert that was the perfect light and airy end to a heavy lunch. I recommend The Cheesecake Factory in Cypress if you're in the area. Or if you're looking for someplace that feels special and fancy but you want to know it's going to not disappoint. And do yourself a favor and order something new, it's worth it. Almost forgot the drinks- My daughter got a Bloody Mary. I didn't try it because BLOODY MARYs are gross. I got the Spanish Old Fashioned. I think I like this better than a regular Old Fashioned. It was rich and smoky, the cold brew added a velvety chocolate taste. The orange peel notes were perfect and it had a good mouth feel. Simply amazing

Girlfriend and I decided on not doing a fancy meal for Valentine's day and we planned to stay in since the weather was gonna turn drastic later. But upon seeing Pluckers advertise $1 wings and $2 drafts for Valentine's day, we hopped in the car and drove to this location. We usually go to the Memorial or Shepherd locations since they are closer to us but they are always packed and figured they would be on this day as well. Upon arrival, we snagged a parking spot right in front of the restaurant which had us thinking we'd get a table easily. Sadly upon arriving, we we're told there would be a 45-50 minute wait (I guess people love wings on V-Day). While discouraged, we decided on the bar hoping there would be seats and luckily we found a spot in front of a couple tvs, plopped down, ordered some beers, then placed our wing order. Like any Pluckers, you come for three things: drinking, wings, and sports. And we got all of those here. The $2 drafts were for bud light only so the girlfriend tried that while I went with my usual miller lite in the large mugs. They also have specialty cocktails here that I may try sometime (Tuesdays is cocktail special night) but I always seem to trend towards beer when I'm here since it goes well with wings. Wings here are fried, drenched in their signature sauce(s), and with ranch/bleu cheese. Go-to flavors are cajun, goldrush, and chipotle bbq. And for $1 per wing at 10 minimum order, I was in heaven with my 20 piece. As for sports, it was mainly olympics playing but due to the weather, the tvs did not have connectivity so I watched mainly the tvs that had the whole "Why people love Pluckers so much" clips on repeat. It was heartwarming hearing peoples stories (customers and employees) about what Pluckers means to them and why they love coming/working here. It seems like a fun atmosphere to work as the bartenders have good banter going. Should I be in Cypress again, I'd be glad to roll in here for my wings/drinks/sports hankering.
