First-class friendly service from a young lady named Rain when we first walked in - great recommendations and took the time to show us their many sauce options for our incredible burgers! Not that I've had enough food to fully judge but what I've had was definitely a 4! The customer service is where they failed me. I was craving chili cheese fries bad! Idk why but I searched and searched and found this spot. Pulled up a day later to scratch the itch. Nobody was in there, patrons or employees. Tall dude comes from the back, walks to the register and literally just stands there looking into space while saying nothing. My initial thought was how long can this fool just stand there but after a couple of minutes, I gave in. Purposely asked his awkward self about the menu just to make him talk. Weird af. Anyway I ordered the fries and children's chicken tender with honey mustard. Itch scratched and the tenders were big, food fresh (wondered if the weird one made it). Not dry or overcooked at all. The chili cheese fries weren't the best in the world but super tasty and hit the spot without me having to do the work. This is my second time visiting JLB Eatery and I decided this time that I was going to try their Double Cheeseburger! Last time I was sooooo impressed by the Bacon Cheeseburger that it was a MUST to come back! From what my friend and I got the first time, I knew the burgers were HUGE so this time instead we opted to share a burger and to my expectations, we were totally full off of ONE burger! I love the decor, the mint green walls and the perky service! every bite was flavorful, juicy and down right GOOD :) I will be coming back just for the burgers ALONE. although the food was EXCELLENT and the vibes were peaceful, I do have to take a star for the amount of charges just for grilled onions and the fact that they don't have sweet tea on display. Normally the food is good and fresh but this time it was trash. The presentation was pretty but that was deceiving. The tater tots were barely warm. The fish was soggy like it had been fried earlier and they just dropped it back in the grease. Same for the onion rings. The wings were good but tasted a little like they were fried in old grease. Everything on the menu is excellent and delicious but the CRAZY burger is the best burger I have EVER eaten. My wife and I moved to Mt. Juliet, Tennessee from Cypress and I purposely did not eat any burger for a year, knowing the quality could not be matched. When I first visited JLB I was like what is this.? It's like a hole in the wall and you should never judge a book by its cover. They do have different locations but this is the one we usually go to. They do have different things on the menu but the burger is just like WOW And they are HUGE! My wife and I usually share one burger and still have some left over. I always recommend this place to anyone who says they want to try something different. The service is not all that they basically stay in the kitchen until someone comes through the door. It's not a large place, maybe 5 tables and 5 booths. But the food is large and delicious. My wife, myself, and our daughter could only eat half of our burgers, and they both had the kids' size. I had the BBQ burger with everything. My wife had the kids cheeseburger with everything, and my 15-year-old daughter had the kids' chicken sandwich with everything. We also ordered the steak fries for all of us to share. It's a little difficult to get in and out of the parking lot since it's on the corner of Barker Cypress and Queenston. There are ways around behind the building and through some other businesses to go back down Queenston after a u-turn. Folks may think that they're expensive, but we ended up with enough for 2 meals for 3 people. $20 for 3 is not too bad. read more

We called in a to go order from the JLB near our home. My hubs picked it up. We ordered an avacado, bacon cheeseburger to share because the burger was huge! We also shared a large order of onion rings. The burger was sooo juicy & cooked to perfection. The avacado & bacon just elevated the burger to the next level! The large onion ring order was massive! The onion rings themselves were big, and the order had probably 10 to 12 of these giant onion rings in the box! It was way more than just the two of us could eat. My wife wanted a burger and although we don't live close by, we looked at some places and decided to try JLB. I ordered the BBQ burger and my wife had the bacon avocado burger. The size of the burger was the first thing I noticed when I picked up my order at the counter. The buns are so soft and you can tell they are made in house. This is the best burger and fried catfish spot we have been to! we have been looking high and low for a spot in the cypress area and we finally found one! Came in on a Friday, right when they opened. The girl that was at the register was SO friendly! Immediately asked us if we have been here and explained what was best on the menu. We took her recommendation and ordered and sat down. The restaurant is a bit small and due to COVID, many seats were closed off. The chairs and tables looked a bit worn down but the restaurant is clean and the decor was super cute - they went all out with the cute hobby lobby decor! We received fried Oreos on the house - but we ordered 1 catfish combo, 1 cheeseburger, 1 double cheeseburger, and 1 pork chop sandwich! MY OH MY! these burgers and sandwiches are the size of your face. NO JOKE. The pictures do not do these burgers justice!!! First we looked at the price and thought.. kinda pricey.. but when we saw the portion, it's a good deal - taste 5 stars!!! Every single item was 5 stars. All of us had Cajun fries on the side. The fries could have used a bit more Cajun seasoning, but it was crispy! Their tarter sauce, honey mustard, and ranch .. I swear is homemade. SO delicious! Must try sauces. I didn't have the experience everyone else seems to have here and I'm so disappointed. First, I tried calling to place my order three times - no answer any time. Went to go order in person and it was pretty busy but not super slammed - it was a Thursday night. It took 45 minutes after ordering for the food to come out. Although the size of the meals were massive and impressive, the flavor fell short. The chicken sandwich had so little flavor that the avocado on it tasted the most pungent. The burger was fine - yes it was massive - but the main flavor was grease. I liked the bread on the chicken sandwich - toasted nicely, great texture. Overall, I was disappointed and I'm not sure I can warrant spending that amount of money again for food I found lacking. Once again joy love burger has consistently delivered a very good burger and a friendly service. I went with my regular for this visit, which was a buffalo chicken ranch sandwich and I got the combo which included french fries and unlimited visits to the fountain machine. The one thing that was slightly off this time was excessive ranch and buffalo sauce they had in the sandwich which made it very soggy. They had drenched in the buns, and the sandwich was gliding from one side to the other. Nonetheless, the food tasted very good. The sandwich was seasoned to perfection and it came with a very generous portion of french fries, which were golden, crispy, and seasoned. The burgers are very tasty also and it's good quality meat that they use in their patties. Their buns are baked in house daily and they are a perfect compliment to the meat or chicken patties. So I finally decided to give JBL try after seeing 4plus stars. I placed my order and waited about 10 minutes before it was cooked and bagged. I got home and everything was made to order which was a big plus!! Unfortunately my order was taken correctly but the lady in the kitchen dropped the ball and put mayo on my burger. I absolutely hate mayo on sandwiches! I tried to wipe it off and eat it, but there was so much mayo that I could still taste it. I decided to take it back for a refund. The reason I'm giving them a low rating is due the woman in the back who dropped the ball had a stank look on her face. She didn't own her mistake, didn't apologize or anything. Just took the togo container to the back. She immediately went into denial and said that I ordered mayo before even looking at the receipt Yes 1 burger had light mayo and the other NO MAYO. I visited this recently opened latest outpost of Joy Love Burgers for lunch. It is located in a strip center with adequate parking space in front. Inside it's moderately sized with seating for 40-50 people and has TV's and their large order counter. For a change, I decided to try something other than their very good hamburgers and ordered the 2 piece fish and chips meal that came with some salad and bread and added a soft drink for a total of $10.77 with tax. The meal was ready in less than 10 minutes. I noticed that the salad on my plate came without any dressing so I ate it dry. Not sure if that was a mistake or intended that way. Both pieces of fish were hot and tasty and moist on the inside. The fries here are different than other locations in that they didn't have the crusty exterior and cajun type seasoning. I actually liked these better. It was a good meal that I would rate as a 3. On another visit here again for lunch, I ordered their classic burger combo with fries and it was up to the standards of other Joy Love locations which is a 4. I am giving an overall score of 4 because most people coming here will get a burger and they are very enjoyable. While I don't think the fish is quite to that level, I believe most people would still be satisfied with it. read more
