Big-Classic Premium Burger

I love trying new places and tonight I was craving a burger, this spot definitely exceeded my expectations on what I was looking for. I have many more menu items to try out since the burger was so delicious. Definitely beats any fast food joint to me.

Big Stack Burger & Onion Rings

They have a very solid burger here. The patty had a nice crisp and flavor to it and the burger was well constructed. Nothing was soggy or falling out of the bun. Onion rings were crispy and could be bit cleanly without the entire onion coming out. I enjoyed the seasoning on the fries as well. Plenty of parking as it's next to an HEB. Order at the counter.

My husband ordered from this place a few hours ago and I was looking forward to trying their big stack- lamb burger but this is what i received instead.... super disappointing that all of the pictures of the food from other reviews look really appetizing. my burger did not have any crispy onions, pickles, or sauce on the side but instead had the tiniest soggy piece of lettuce and small piece of tomato :( definitely not worth $16.

Big Stack Burger is a new burger joint that has been opened for a couple months now and I recently visited for the first time. It's located close to the H-E-B on Jones Road in the same shopping center. Parking space is plentiful unless it's a busy grocery shopping day. Inside it is a counter service restaurant and serves burgers, chicken sandwiches, bowls, wraps and wings. I ordered the classic single beef patty hamburger combo with fries and a canned drink and with tax it was $9.19. Yes you read that read that right! More about the pricing later. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes in a plastic box. Upon opening I immediately noticed the "branded" top bun of the restaurants name which really looked cool. Nice touch! The burger was quite good with cheese and fully dressed. It was a quality tasting burger. The fries were hot and had Cajun dust on them. They were very good tasting too. As you can see I enjoyed this meal and at that price a real deal. My only small negative is ketchup is served in small plastic containers that you must ask for. My burger a la carte was $7.49. Adding fries and a drink is only $1 more. Canned drinks are $.99. So that $7.49 buys you the burger and fries. Never just get the burger alone. Also to get a second beef patty on the same burger it's $4.50 more. And if you make it a triple it's $3 more. So while the single burger is inexpensive moving up with more meat becomes quite expensive. Their single patty combo is too low and with that probably being their most popular order, I think their profit margin on that meal is too low. I like this place and will return. It was a very good tasting meal at a fast food price level.

Located right next to HEB and Wells Fargo. I went in on a Sunday afternoon to give it a try. I ordered the beef wrap with fries $10. The gentleman taking my order offered a wide variety of options and was very helpful. The food took about 10 min. I took it home and dug in. It was great, very flavorful and a large portion.

Not sure how this patty was prepared. Very disappointed

Nothing about this place has anything to do with Texas. Very low quality, I wish I had my money back I cannot even eat it.

Carlos was a great employee he helped us out in every way. My husband ordered the triple big stack and loved it I ordered the flamed up chicken burger and it was delicious. Definitely going back to this place.

Bacon cheeseburger and fries

I have to laugh at myself because I literally live within walking distance of Big Stack Burger and somehow just tried it for the first time recently -- big mistake, huge! I've been twice now, and both times I left questioning all my past burger choices. The patties are handmade, seasoned perfectly, and so juicy you need extra napkins. The bun? Oh, they brand the bun -- like a signature stamp of delicious authority -- and that little touch makes it feel gourmet without being pretentious. The first time I went, the young man behind the counter was so polite and friendly -- he even swapped my canned soda for a bottled one, since it was my first time and while that seems minor it was a very thoughtful gesture. Then when I went back a few days later (yes, by myself... and yes, it felt like I was cheating on my boyfriend with a cheeseburger ), the lady working there was just as sweet and welcoming. First visit: single cheeseburger, fries, drink.. second visit: cheeseburger with bacon and cheddar cheese added. My boyfriend had the grilled chicken sandwich and loved it. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to receive your food and it's worth the wait - please do not come here expecting the food to be done quickly like McDonald's because good food takes time and I certainly don't mind waiting for quality food. There was no line and not many people eating in the restaurant. The bun is buttery the patty is handmade and seasoned and cooked well, the ingredients are fresh. The fries were meh, I wish they were hand cuy, but hey---you can't have everything. The fries are not crinkle or shoestring, just regular thin wedge fries (not sure if that's an accurate description). The place itself is spotless -- super clean, great music playing, and they even have little games on the table by the door, which adds to the cozy, fun vibe. You can tell they care about their customers and the quality of what they serve. I seriously hope Big Stack Burger stays around forever because it's rare to find a spot that gets everything right -- from the food to the atmosphere to the people. This has officially become my weekly burger ritual, and I can't wait to go back again!

Bro this Chicken Bowl is different. Saffron, rich flavor, grilled perfect I don't know what they put in it... but I need it again.

Big Stack got the best burgers in Houston, no discussion. One bite had me questioning my whole life Service on point, food on point. If you ain't tried Big Stack yet... go back to your Motherland and start over Highly recommend.

Got the one meat lunch platter which came with two sides. I chose the brisket, mac n cheese, and cole slaw. The meat was so tender and juicy, and the bbq sauce was one of the best I've had. The sides were just ok, and I wouldn't recommend the mac n cheese (too meh). I liked the pickle station they had. Counter service with tables both inside and outside. All the employees were quick but friendly.

Coming from Chicago I just knew it was gonna be a tough call. Y'all know I give 100% true reviews. The food was definitely a 4 out of 10. The sausage was not good at all. The brisket was tasty. It just wasn't as tender. The rib was probably the best thing it didn't have too much flavor, but it was yummy. The macaroni was definitely a three out of 10 and the beans were also about a five out of 10. There really was no flavor to the meats. I'm a heavy cooker and I also love to barbecue, but I barely could taste the smoky flavor. We ended up not eating everything because it honestly wasn't that great however, my favorite thing was probably the rib in the brisket. I really was expecting this to be really good, but after conversing w/ a couple of other people, I heard that this is more like a Houstonian place. The service was great in the ambience was also great. They have a bar next-door that you can sit down grab your drink and go back and sit. Overall, I had fun in the experience, but I definitely are gonna have to give this a two out of five. Oh, and the barbecue sauce I'm gonna have to say no

Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The pork ribs were the star of the show. So tender, fall off the bone deliciousness. Pair it with the hot sauce that they have on the side and it was chefs kiss! The best ribs I've ever had. The brisket on the other hand was a little dry and I wish it had more flavor, but the sauce made up for it. We also got the Mac n cheese with brisket on top. They really did not skimp out on the brisket. It was very delicious and the Mac n cheese was perfectly creamy and decadent. They also pickles, pickled jalapeño, and onions on the side which really cut the fat from the meat. The coleslaw that we got was okay though. Overall, it was a great experience. All the employees were nice and patient with us since it was our first time here and we had some questions. The vibes were definitely there. Will def stop by here if we ever go to Texas again!!

I'm a boudin lover at heart so that's a no brained for me. The smoky boudin link ($8) was cooked to perfection, you know the ones you can eat and the casing snaps with crispness as you bite into it. Rice still has its moist and perfect texture as well. Kam ordered the extra lean brisket sandwich ($15) that's served on jalapeño biscuit buns which he seemed to really enjoy We order side to share, just try. Bacon Mac& cheese. ($6, large) Which is really creamy and cheesy. The noodles were perfectly cooked. The only flaw was the bacon fat I bit into which was a large pieces (yuck) someone who's a texture girl I would be skeptical to order it again. Is perfect alone/ without the bacon. The potato salad ($4 small) was a good cool balance. The jambalaya wasn't much of what I expected, rice a tad overcooked for my liking. I'd prefer either the Mac n cheese or potato salad. We usually don't eat pork ribs, but the appearance was too beautiful not to try. I was happy to hear that Pinkerton do sell them by singles for guest who just want to try them for taste, like us. They were fall off the bone great. No military discount offered at this time. This is the original location The line is for dine in, and take out. I do look forward to returning for the brisket sandwich and boudin link.

We came a little earlier and there was already a long line. I heard that if you order in advance, you can skip the line. While you wait, the employees walk around and you can order a drink. Which is nice if you're waiting a while and it gets hot. The employees were all very nice and ambiance is how you would expect a regular bbq restaurant to be. There are plenty of seating outside but limited inside. The seats are all first come first serve, so usually the inside seating runs out first. We ordered 1/2lb ribs, 1/2lb brisket, 1/2lb sausages, and some sides like Mac&cheese, beans, loaded potato, cobbler, etc. total was about $120 after tip. The food was very delicious and worth the drive. Although, I will say that it doesn't taste that much different from my other favorite bbq restaurants. I was still a great experience and very delicious. I highly recommend to try if you're in the area.

I've tried those deemed "the best," including Salt Lick in Driftwood and Killen's. So how did CorkScrew measure up? In addition to the beef rib, we tried the moist brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. We also tried several sides, including those recommended in the Michelin review: potato salad, mac and cheese, smokey beans, and coleslaw, and I picked up a peach cobbler, as well. The beef rib: STELLAR. This was outstanding with its flavorful bark and an impossibly tender texture that truly melts in your mouth, unlike any other beef rib I've ever had. Easily the very best beef rib, without a doubt. The brisket was delicious, as well: tender and flavorful. The sausage was nothing special... on par with sausage elsewhere, as was the pork. As for the sides, I've never been a fan of beans, but since the Michelin review specifically mentioned them, I gave them a try. I'm a fan! I would definitely order these again. Their smokiness is gently tamed by a touch of sweetness. The rest? Very average. The mac and cheese tasted like the stuff I had in my elementary school cafeteria - very un-special. The potato salad was salty and was missing any semblance of potato chunks. The texture was oddly like lumpy mashed potatoes. But the other surprise for me: the cobbler. This was simply and divinely perfect with crisp, sweet buttery crumble. A wonderful way to end a hearty meal. I'm so glad I ordered our food online for pickup. When I arrived at 1pm, the line was wrapped around the building. Pickup was very easy: I texted them when I arrived, and they replied when they were ready for me to go in and retrieve it. But even if there wasn't a line, I would never eat there: the restaurant is too divey for me: very rustic, picnic-like feel both inside and out, and it was uncomfortably warm and humid (again, inside and out.) The staff was very friendly and cheerful. Glad i tried it, and when i get a hankering for a good beef rib, this is definitely where I'll be getting it!

As for the brisket sandwich, I thought it was good in terms of the meat, however, I must say it reminded me of sloppy joes too much. If I had to choose, I prefer getting the brisket sliced over chopped. As for the coleslaw, it was fresh and not too overwhelming with the mayo, which I love.
