Stopped by Corkscrew BBQ for lunch on a random Tuesday and had no idea it was a Michelin-recognized spot--definitely explains the crowd! We thought showing up at noon would beat the rush... nope. The line was packed, but honestly, everything was so well organized that it moved pretty quickly. Seating was something we were initially worried about, but it ended up not being an issue at all. There's plenty of space both inside and outside, and the outdoor area is huge. As for the food--everything was phenomenal. I had the jalapeño sausage and a baked potato (which was HUGE), and my husband got the brisket. Both were spot on. The mac and cheese was good too, just had a slight aftertaste, but nothing that took away from the overall meal. I also grabbed a turkey salad to go, and that did not disappoint. Customer service was great across the board--the team was friendly, efficient, and made the whole experience smooth, even with the crowd. Overall, such a cool spot and definitely worth the hype. I've heard the cobbler is a must-try, so that's next on the list. Glad this place isn't too far--I'll absolutely be back!

Wow, absolutely lives up to the hype, and worth the wait. PRO TIP: Come before opening (at least 30 mins or 1 hour) and go to the binder to pick up your number. First 30 or so gets a paper number and you can just wait in your car or walk around. Make sure you are back by 10:45am and walk in according to your number. Best brisket ever. Never tasted anything like that before. I ordered the moist and it melts in your mouth. Pork ribs were also amazing. Took the rest and flew it back to California. Staff was funny and friendly. It was a great atmosphere and there were plenty of sestings outside.

My mouth is literally salivating just thinking about the amazing meal we had here! Honey, I got the brisket with all the fat to go and instantly wished I had dined in so I could order more. It was hands down the best brisket I've ever had!!! Melt-in-your-mouth good. The kind that makes you want to dance and chew very slowly just to enjoy every bite. I wasn't a huge fan of the mac and cheese, but the coleslaw was good--though honestly, forget the side characters because the BRISKET is 100/10!!!!!! Service was fast and casual, and the restaurant itself is cute and country. Again... I don't care about anything but the brisket. Go. Get. The. Brisket. And thank me later!!

My heart sank as I watched each item being crossed off the chalk board one by one. I couldn't help but feel a little disappointment when they were sold out of everything I wanted to try. By the time it was my turn, the only options left was brisket and turkey. Despite the limited selection, the quality and flavor really set the standard for a great BBQ. The brisket was the perfect balance mixture of lean and moist. Each bite was rich and smokey without being heavy, and it paired so well with their excellent BBQ sauce. The coleslaw and potato salad were just as impressive, the sides alone is enough to come back. It's clear why items sells out so quick, CorkScrew BBQ deliver the kind of experience that keeps customers coming back and wanting more.

I know why they are on the list! I know why they have a coveted spot with Michelin, and it is a very well deserved spot!! A group of friends and myself are trying to get ourselves to all the top TX BBQ spots, and I love that this one is a quick ride over from Tomball! We knew that we were going to need to get there early, so we arrived by 10 AM to get a number to start our wait. We were #15, and you just need one number per group. If you check the website ahead of your visit, they have tons of useful information on there, from where to park if the lot is full, recommendation on arrival time, ordering prior to pickup and much more! As we waited, there were some great areas to sit while you wait outside, they do ask that you don't take up tables if you're not dining yet, which is appreciated for once you do get your food. We had a group of about 10, and we all knew what we were getting, so it made the ordering process pretty seamless. The one thing I can appreciate about Corkscrew over a few other places we visited, is that they take your order, take your name, and you wait for your name to be called to grab your food. While it is nice to see your plate sliced, diced, and everything nice, that typically tends to be the cause for the long waits, so this was pretty smooth going in. Five of us out of our group decided to share a plate so that we could get a variety of everything and nothing, I mean NOTHING disappointed! IT SLAPPED!!! We went with the brisket (did a mix of moist and lean), pork ribs, regular sausage, and the jalapeño sausage, and ALLLLL of the sides, the mac n cheese, potato salad, coleslaw, and beans, with a side of cobbler! If it sounds like a lot, it's because it is and it was amazing! I haven't found a place that I have loved their mac n cheese, until today. It was the right amount of creaminess, cheesy, and simple. It didn't need all the extras to stand out, it's a solid mac all on it's own. I am not a huge lover of coleslaw, but this one was good, not to tart, not to sweet, well balanced and refreshing. The potato salad, I typically like a little more mustard forward, this one is I think a bit more mayo, so although it was good, and with the right amount of potato to mix ratio, not my top fave side here. And those beans! I love a good sweet baked bean. I grew up eating brown sugar in my beans, not sure if they do that here, but it was definitely reminiscent of it. I loved getting a good bite of the mac and cheese, with the beans, a top of a slice of brisket with BBQ sauce on the white bread and inhaling it! Such a fantastic bite! Now the meat!! The MEAT! The ribs, hands down, absolutely amazing. Fall off the bone, and was in no need of sauce. I am a sauce girly, but kept finding myself bite after bite without trying the two together. No notes on those!! The brisket was good. I typically like moist/lean together chopped up, but I went with the lean, and the bark on it was delicious, salty, beautiful in color, and dipped in the BBQ was a delightful bite, that I could take over and over again! Out of the sausages, I'd say the jalapeño was my favorite. It had a slight undertone of spice, but not spicy at all, and the creaminess of the cheese with the snap of each bite won me over! Hands down, the food is not just phenomenal, the service is too. Everyone that works in there works so cohesively well together. From the checking in on the table, asking if we needed anything, bussing the table as we finished our meals, just was fantastic. Everyone had a smile on their face, and they looked like the wanted to be there! It is pretty hard to find genuine customer service now a days, so huge KUDOS to Corkscrew staff!

Probably a 4.5. I came here straight from the airport on a Friday afternoon. Parking is not great but manageable. The line wasn't bad and moved pretty quickly. There were plenty of people working to take orders, make orders in the back, and walking around offering assistance as needed. Now do the important stuff. The meat was great the sides were fine. I tried a smorgasbord and love that they offer a single pork rib. I had the 'mixed' brisket and I received one slice moist one slice lean, and it was the perfect combination and a great way to taste both types. I got half pound of mixed sausage which was jalapeño and garlic, which is a great decision. The rib was meaty and flavorful super tender well smoked. The sausage had a nice crisp casing and not too greasy inside. That was very good. The bark on the brisket was amazing. Would love to try and get burnt ends. The macaroni and cheese quite creamy. The baked beans were a little too tomato for me. Sides are hard to nail but they've got the meat! Overall, would definitely come back.

It's going down in H-Town! I visited Houston to see a friend, and he said Corkscrew BBQ is "the best in town by a wide margin." I can attest that statement turned out to be true. Get there early. Even though we arrived 30 minutes before opening, we had to wait 1-1.5 hours in line. It was not uncommon for locals to wait ~2 hours, so they had water and menus sitting outside for them. When we finally got inside and had our order taken, I was blown away. For the meat platter we got below, it was $100 after tax. Our group of 4, even though we were all big eaters, could not finish the platter. The smoked turkey was my personal favorite, though the beef brisket was just as good. I can't even name everything we got, but everything is worth a try. Go to Corkscrew BBQ for your Texas BBQ fix!

The finest brisket I have ever tasted! Bar none. Moist where it needs to be. A great crust on the right parts. I am sure I died as came to BBQ heaven. The people working here are helpful and friendly. Wow!! It's Texas all the way, from the patrons to the decor. Locals and tourists! Even the utensils are high quality. No picture can do it justice. My mouth will always remember this day!!

I've waited to write this one. Been here about for times and see why they have their Michelin star. Parking is nuts in old town spring. You legit need to get here at 10am to park close by. Line will be around the building at 11am to get in. Takes awhile to get to the counter to order and eat. Plenty of outdoors seating but if it's hot or cold it's not ideal. Inside seating is small and cramped. The service is great. They have people coming around to get you drinks, additional items and bus tables. I'll say the green beans are my favorite. The smoked sausage, chicken and ribs are to die for. The place is legit. I can overwhelming due to a lot of people and things going on but worth trying out. Worth every penny!

Hands down the BEST barbecue I have had so far! This place lives up to the hype and I could gush over the food to anyone listening. The workers were friendly and the restaurant is small and unassuming (aside from the long line). Parking was definitely a hassle, so plan to walk a bit. Beef rib: (6/5) AMAZING. It was melting off the bone. Only available on Saturdays and they sell out somewhat quick, so be mindful of that. This was the highlight of our meal and I would come back for this. Brisket: (5/5) it was somehow marbled?? It was tender and juicy and everything you want from brisket Sausage: (5/5) flavorful and smokey goodness I understand why they have a Michelin star and we will definitely be back soon.

Still one of the best BBQ joint in TX and rest of the USA!! I'm in town for a family visit and a stop to Corkscrew is a must. Want to avoid lines...get an online order and it makes it easier. We ordered a few items and for the first time, I'm trying their House Tacos. Brisket is the base meat and dam good. With the toppings of the green chili sauce, cabbage, and Pico de gallo all add it's own unique piece to the taco. Cabbage has a nice crunch, the Pico flavor and spicy kick, and the green chili sauce flavoring were all mixed well! Overall...this is a must go to and will always return when in town!

Outside seating, inside seating is available as well

Does Corkscrew Bbq deliver / ship their brisket to other areas of Houston, such as Pearland?

What drinks do they have? Beer? Wine?

I have always enjoyed their ice tea. Never noticed if they have beer but will look next time we stop by.

What is a chopped SOS?

Sauce on the side

Guys, I went to college in Central Texas. Is this good bbq, like small town Texas good, or just good Houston bbq?

It's really good, but I think Tejas, which is close by, and Killen's BBQ, which is quite a ways away, are both better.

When picking up a to go order that has been called in, is there a separate "to go" line?

Yes

Do y'all cater and deliver?

Their website says they don't have the personnel to cater and deliver, however you can order whole meats (such as briskets) and pick it up for your event.

Are the brisket and beef ribs halal?

While it is Creekstone Farms beef, it is smoked in the same smoker as the pork, therefore making it not halal.

What time do they normally sell out on Saturday? Thanks!

I almost always go on Saturdays. I think you're really pushing your luck if you get there past 1pm, although not everything sells out at the same time so you can still get something if you're flexible.

Is Corkscrew BBQ open this week?

Yes, Tuesday through Saturday.

What time should we get in line Saturday morning anticipating 30 min wait after they open?

No later than 9. Bring a book or someone who's company you enjoy. They start handing out numbers around 8:30. Once they open you're the first to order and you'll get your food within minutes. Expect the line to be wrapped around the building if you… Read more

Great value for time/money I stopped in at 3rd coast BBQ on a Thursday at lunchtime. There was a little parking, but not a massive amount. There was almost no line at all when we got there - I think we waited for about 10 min & waited another 10 for our food. The food itself was really good! They had a large menu & I thought the prices were very reasonable. For 3 meats and 3 sides it was about $50. We got two ribs, brisket (mixed) and the cheddar and jalapeño sausage links. Everything was pretty yummy. I thought the brisket was nice and tender while still having some great flavor. Both the fatty and lean brisket were pretty good. The ribs were super tender and the flavor was smoky and sweet. The sausage links were decent. I will say the food wasn't quote corkscrew level, but was still pretty solid. The ambiance here was really great. I liked the outdoor patio vibe & really homey feel. I liked the tin roof (it rained while we were there & I loved the sound!) & there was plenty of seating. Overall, great experience. Especially with a short wait and decent prices - you get pretty solid BBQ. I'll be back here for sure

The pork ribs are EXCELLENT. Meaty, moist, tender and perfectly seasoned. Also tried the boudin, overall iI liked it, i would have preferred a little less cheese but its a winner. Full of brisket and sausage its pretty damn good. The jalapeño sausage is a great, perfect grind size and coarseness. Sides are above average. For me hands down the cajun potato salad is the best I tried today. My dining partner raved about the collard greens and coleslaw. The smoked beans are delicious and the mac and cheese is pretty good too. The staff is cheerful and helpful as well.

Called ahead to learn that they open at noon and at a different location than usual - now at the Firestone Car Care lot on Holzworth, just south of Louetta and across from AMC 10/adjacent to Home Depot. Had read online that lines/wait could be long and that good is liable to run out. Fortunately, since we got an early start, arrived to find just one person ahead of us. Owners were very welcoming/friendly. Their little daughter took our order on a tablet. Ordered a Veggie Potato and 2x Two-Meat Plates (moist brisket and garlic links, each) which came with two sides (ordered BBQ beans, 2 x potato salad, and corn). Tab came to $50, which is not bad these days. Portions were plentiful and the meats were juicy and tender - the BBQ sauce was not overly sweet; had a nice vinegary flavor to it and complimented the meats very well. The Potato was huge and very tasty - a happy medley of Cheddar cheese, Spinach and other veggies, with a yummy twice-baked taste. The BBQ Beans contained ground beef and had a nice kick of heat. Potato Salad and Corn too were yummy! The orders came with two slices each of regular white bread. Jalapeños in the photos are mine. Overall, the reviews are spot-on; one of the better BBQ food places in the area, by far. Run by a friendly family - service is efficient and you return with a nice smoky smell on yourself as you wait to have your order prepared! Love it! Please support a community establishment in these tough times - you won't be disappointed!

Continuing our tour of Texas BBQ on the sacred Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ list, our latest stop…read morebrought us to Rosemeyer Bar-B-Q in Spring. An equally impressive accolade is their name on the 2025 Michelin Guide. One more cool fact while I'm at it, they do all this working out of a trailer parked on the side of the highway! My BBQ homies and I arrived about an hour early to make sure we get everything we wanted to try as this place does sell out quick. Pro tips, bring your own seats and in our case, an umbrella for those quick spring shower. We came prepared with a cooler of adult beverages, but come to find out, we didn't even need it. This awesome place provides a huge cooler full of free beer while you wait! In the Texas sun, this is much appreciated. Right outside the trailer is where the magic happens in their huge offset and rotisserie smokers. The guys working have no issues if you want to take a closer look. Right before they opened up shop, they came around with a huge tray of brisket to sample. This got me even more excited to try the food. The staff working here were super friendly like at almost every other BBQ spot we have visited. Between everyone in our group, I think we did a pretty good job of getting almost everything on the menu minus the sandwiches or specialty items like loaded mac or brisket quesadillas. Four of us decided to go with their 'Lil Bit of Everythang!' platter which serves 5-7 people. Well it fed four of us very comfortably with leftovers to take home. This platter literally came with almost everything. We got 1/2 a pound each of brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, pork belly burnt ends, and a chicken half, plus 2 links of sausage, and 1 link of boudin and 4 sides. They give you a number and wait patiently. Your only options to eat are taking your food to go or set up shop on one of their few picnic tables. No sitting until you eat and I noticed people respect that rule and it does allow for everyone to eat comfortably. I really liked everything we tried. The brisket was tender and it had a nice bark on it which had just the right amount of seasoning. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and delicious. The pork belly burnt ends were phenomenal and one of my favorite bites. I don't know what they glazed with, but it delicious. It had a sweet and savory taste to it. Chicken is something I usually skip on, but since it was on the platter I got to try it. It was good. It was nice and juicy and full of flavor. One thing I really judge a place on is their sausage. Rosemeyer does it right! I loved the sausage here. It was packed nice and tight and had a great snap to it. We tried both the mild and jalapeno cheese and both were good. The boudin was also very good. Comparable to some of the stuff I've tried in Louisiana. They have six side offerings of which we got 5. We tried charro beans, dill potato salad, mac & cheese, and two unique items like fideo and mama's green gumbo. I personally loved all their sides. I would get all of them again. The one everyone in our group was iffy about was the green gumbo. It was full of beans which threw everyone off, but I loved the flavor profile of this. I would come back for a tub of that and put it over some rice and call it a meal. To finish off the feast, I had to get the bread pudding. If it's on a menu, odds are I am going to get it. I am so glad we did because the bread pudding here was out of this world good. Probably one of the better bread puddings I have ever had. It came out warm and maintained it's heat. They also added these tasty candied pecans that was a perfect compliment to the custardy bread concoction. A scoop of vanilla ice cream would have been gold on top. Speaking of ice cream, they are supposed to have some amazing homemade ice cream here and the flavors rotate. How many BBQ dudes do you know that do that? We were full, but I will try it next time. Overall, Rosemeyer has moved to my top 5. This place was so so good. It's far from where I live but still very drivable when the craving hits. I will most definitely be back.

However, from the lackluster flavors, poor marbling of the beat, and lack of air conditioning in HOUSTON, I was left feeling quite disappointed. The main star of any Barbecue joint should be the meats that have been meticulously worked on for many hours. When the star of the show are the sides, you have a problem. The baked beans, mac and cheese, collared greens, and Brussels sprouts are delicious, as expected. The brisket was absolutely dried to the point where I couldn't tell if I was wiping my mouth with a napkin or the brisket. Yes, I ordered it fatty. The ribs were terribly marbled. If one bite was a dry portion of the rib, the other bite was an entire glob of fat.
