On our tour of Texas BBQs, we were really excited to try Rosemeyer. Just on the outskirts of Old Town Spring, sits this awesome BBQ truck. We arrived about an hour prior to opening, and there wasn't a huge line. We forgot our chairs, but it was all good standing in line. There were only a few others in front of us. As you wait, you can see the pit masters at work, tending to some yummy awesome food! As you wait, there is free beer provided! Thats a win win!! The guys were awesome. As we waited, I asked if it was ok to take some videos of them cooking, and they were like, yes, absolutely! As time got closer for opening, one of the guys came around with some free brisket for us to try! It was piping hot, and it was soo good, literally melt in your mouth!!! Which made us that more excited to try what was coming! There were 7 in our group, 4 of us decided to try the Lil Bit of Everything (that feeds 5-7 ppl). Which was perfect, because we truly wanted to try everything. It came with Brisket, Pulled Pork, Pork Ribs, Pork Belly Burnt Ends, Half of Chicken, 2 Links of Sausage, ! Boudin Link and 4 sides. The sides we went with all of them, and added 1 extra side to get all 5 and then added on the Bread Pudding for dessert. If it sounds like a lot, it's because it is!!! Everything we tried was super good, the ribs, slid right of the bone, and didn't need BBQ sauce, back to the brisket, super moist and tender, Sooo good. The burnt ends I liked a lot, they had some great flavor to it. The pulled port, I usually don't get from a bbq spot. It was nice and tender, but I would probably get that as a sando if I got again. The sausage was delicious, had a lite lil kick to it, nothing to get your nose running, but had a great snap to it. By the time I got to the chicken, I was stuffed, but from what I did try, had a nice smokey taste to it. For the sides, my faves were the mac and cheese and potato salad. The gumbo wasn't what I typically think of when I get gumbo, had beans in them, which I don't know is traditional, but was good to try. The fideo I had heard great things on, but I think needed a bit more of something to tie it together to bbq. But my absolute fave thing was the Bread Pudding!!! Uggghhhh it was soo good. And we almost didn't get it. It was nice and warm, and had the perfect texture with the pecans that came with it. Highly recommend to get that, and eat it before you get stuffed on everything else!!! Great experience, and was a great day to be outside and eat some good TX BBQ.

Why 5 stars? Because there are some gems on this menu. --- --- --- I heard about Rosemeyer a while ago, but I sadly let many months pass before I actually visited. Recently, when Rosemeyer was featured on the Texas Monthly list, I was compelled to finally make it happen. I arrived at 10:50a on a Saturday and was about 10th in line. I had my food by 11:40a. The line moved a bit faster than I was expecting, as this is not like some other trucks that only take one order at a time. The seating: there are several picnic tables setup near the truck. I strongly recommend against doing what I did and planning a "dine-in" visit during the middle of summer. Not only was it hot, but we spent half of our time shoo'ing away flies. That's not the fault of Rosemeyer, but just a piece of advice for future patrons. As for the food, starting the the meats: -Burnt Ends: 5-stars. I will start with the highlight of the meal. Do not come here without ordering these. These are different than most burnt ends: there's almost a sweetness to them, like they use a hint of sweet thai chili sauce on them or something. But the main appeal is that they are so tender, that I'm not even sure how it's possible. Or legal. -Pork Ribs & Brisket: 4-stars. I enjoyed both. I've had better at my favorite BBQ spots, but I would not complain about eating these two things on a regular basis. But I can't say that either were at the highest level that I'v experienced lately. -Pulled Pork: 3-stars. This was just okay. I usually say that it's hard to really mess up pulled pork, and not that it was bad here, but it definitely wasn't remarkable at all. I took 3-4 bites and had no need to go beyond that. SIDES: Mac-n-Cheese: 5-stars. Bomb, no notes. All mac-n-cheese should taste like this. Coleslaw: 5-stars. This was maybe the best coleslaw I've ever had. Same note as above: it should always be this way. Fideo: 5-stars. 5-stars for originality, 4.5-stars for taste. It's like a mini spaghetti and was actually great for BBQ. Potato Salad: 3-stars. Similar to the pulled pork, I tried a few bites and didn't need anymore than that. DESSERT: Banana Hammock Tan Line Ice Cream: 5-stars. This was great. I bought it to share between my friend and my son. My son took one bite, my friend declined altogether, and then I crushed the rest in seconds. It went down easy. My next visit will definitely be to-go or not during peak satan's armpit season.

Exceptional BBQ! I wanted to try this spot for a while and finally had the chance. Since it was our first time here, we wanted to try a variety of menu items. We opted for the dill potato salad and Mac and cheese. For the meat we chose sausage, brisket, pulled pork and ribs. The staff were so helpful. We had a great conversation while our food was being prepared. This is a true gem of Spring and I look forward to dining here in the future.

Driving around Texas trying BBQ on the Texas Monthly Top 50 list. Rosemeyer Bar-B-Q was our first stop on Friday on our 2 day journey. So glad we picked Rosemeyer as our first stop as this place is Tops on my list now! Got to Rosemeyer at 10am as was not sure how long the line would be. The pitmasters Ben & Jordon are some of the best people I have ever met. The whole crew is impressive. They welcomed us in and treated us like old friends. We told them about our 48 hour BBQ journey to visit 5 BBQ places in Spring & Montgomery, Texas. First know this is a food truck so eating is outside at picnic tables under umbrellas. Second, this is a card only place NO cash. Third, they have FREE beer to enjoy while you wait or to have with your food. Fourth, they have different daily specials along with different monthly specials. Fifth, everything here is delicious. Sixth, they sell homemade ice cream. Yes! Ice cream that one of the pitmasters makes. The flavor changes monthly it is the best ice cream that you will ever have so save room!! We had, brisket which was tender, smoky full of flavor and love from the pit master's love labor. The pork rib was fall off the bone delicious and almost too perfect to eat. The jalapeño cheese sausage and Boursin are both made in house. Both are so heavenly that it made me feel like home. Husband and I ended our meal by sharing a cup of Blueberry Dreams ice cream (SWEET CREAM BASE WITH FRESH BLUEBERRIES. LEMON CURD SWIRL AND TOPPED WITH SMOKED LEMON ZEST) We had the dill potato salad which is also amazing. And they have potato bread. I highly recommend Rosemeyer Bar-B-Q as so far we have eaten at 7 places on the Top 50 list and this place has been amazingly the BEST.

"I thought I was late to the party, but turns out I showed up just in time for the last slice of heaven." TL;DR: Rolled up at Rosemeyer Bar-B-Q just before the smoke curtain closed. It was 12:55 and I was dancing with fate. Brisket was still on deck. Ice cream? Gone. But I scored the last bread pudding like it was the golden ticket. Ben (pitmaster and front-man for flavor) handed me the tray, chatted me up, and later hit me with a surprise save; some homemade ice cream that knew me better than I know myself. Elvis is Still Alive in Benton, Arkansas. Peanut butter, bacon, chocolate. I needed a moment. Rosemeyer Bar-B-Q, a food truck on a shady patch of soul-soaked ground, with a smoker that looked like it had stories to tell. I showed up knowing I might leave empty-handed, but I didn't drive all that way just to look at trees. The sold-out board was stacked with Xs, and the line moved like molasses. With every step closer to the window, I held my breath. But fortune favors the hungry. I stepped up and ordered like a man on borrowed time: * Brisket: Moist, rich, bark like caramelized black gold. Not a single bite needed sauce, though they give you a cup anyway like a blessing on the side. * Bread Pudding: The last one. Served warm, dripping with sweet cream and pecans, like a love letter from the dessert gods. No sides. No frills. Just meat and bread and that pile of pickled onions, jalapeños, and sliced white to keep the balance right. While I was inhaling my tray, Ben came out, smiled like a man who knows what smoke can do, and gave me the story of Rosemeyer. He's the kind of pitmaster that makes you feel like family before you've swallowed your first bite. I could've stayed there talking for an hour, but I had sauce on my shirt and crumbs in my beard. Just when I thought the curtain had dropped on this meaty matinee, Ben came back with a pint. He said, "I scraped out the last of the ice cream. Thought you might want it." He handed me a scoop of ELVIS IS STILL ALIVE IN BENTON, ARKANSAS, and just like that, I was 10 years old again with a peanut butter cup in one hand and barbecue smoke in my lungs. Candied bacon, chocolate swirls, peanut butter base. It melted faster than I could think in this summer heat but not before I got the full gospel. That's how you end a meal in Texas. Texas Monthly Stamp count: 24 down. 26 to go. Get to Rosemeyer early, or you'll be staring at a sold-out sign while someone else licks your ice cream.

Y'all, let me testify. I love me some BBQ, and when I rolled past Rosemeyer BBQ and saw this bad boy had a Michelin star, I pulled into that parking lot like it was Sunday morning and I was late to church. I parked my car, took a deep breath, and said a quick prayer before getting out. The smell? Sweet Jesus. You can smell the charro beans from the parking lot, y'all. And when I read they had charro beans and a loaded Fidel bowl on the menu? Lord have mercy, my soul almost left my body! That aroma hit me like the church organ warming up hallelujah, I almost started clapping like I was part of the choir. Whoa I have to try that next time! And mind you, I was on my lunch break. $16 Mac and cheese with brisket. Lord, have mercy. White cheddar Mac, brisket on top, some green onions (or cilantro somebody ask Reverend Thomas), and a sprinkle of panko. I bowed my head, grabbed my fork, and went in ready to confess my sins. And then silence., No hallelujah. No tongues. Just quiet. Don't get me wrong it was good Mac. Cheesy, creamy, the brisket slices were solid, and when I added some BBQ it came together nicely. But for $16? I was expecting the choir to strike up a hymn, Reverend Thomas to raise his hand, and the dish itself to lift off the table and start preaching. The brisket sandwich. $16. Pastor, are you gonna pray over it and multiply it like loaves and fishes? I wanted this sandwich to heal my hunger like the pastor slapping my leg and shouting, "HEAL!" then me running down the aisle screaming, "I CAN WALK AGAIN!" Instead, I got a small but tasty bite. Flavor? Blessed. Portion? Still waiting on my miracle. Reverend Thomas would have looked over at my plate like, "That's all you got for sixteen dollars?" Now don't get me wrong. It wasn't the worst. It was good real good. But for Michelin, I wanted the heavens to part and angels to sprinkle holy water (or BBQ sauce) straight on my plate. At that price, I half expected Reverend Thomas to show up tableside, lay hands on my sandwich, and bless it himself. Would I put it in my top 5 brisket in Houston? No, But I will be back on a weekend when I've got time to sit, relax, and sample more of the gospel on that menu. And let me testify they've got free beer! Can I get a hallelujah for that blessing?

We showed up around 30 mins early just in case there was a wait. That gave us time to study the menu and decide what we wanted to order. If you are alone and eat normal portions, you end up saving about $2 if you order the box. I chose the box with brisket and potato salad. It comes with all the fixings, which are your standard pickled jalapeños, cucumbers, red onion, and a few slivers of what appeared to be some sort of pepper. My box came with 2 slices of bread while my friends box came with 3. The bread seems to be a potato bread. The brisket is obviously prime and tender, when you order the moist as we both did. The sausage is loosely packed and has a nice snap. I liked it, but probably liked the brisket even more. The bbq sauce is pretty good, and I started using that toward the end. We sat at one of the picnic tables in the shade while all the others behind us in line took their order to go.

Rosemeyer's BBQ isn't just a barbecue joint--it's an experience. Housed in a food truck along Highway 99 in Houston with great outdoor seating, this place is a Texas Monthly Top 50 Award winner and it absolutely deserves its 2024 Michelin Star rating. The free beer offered while you wait in line is the perfect touch to start the meal off right. The brisket was, without a doubt, the best I've had. It was the epitome of moist, delicious goodness with an outstanding flavor that proves these pit masters are true pros. The pulled pork with fideo was a fantastic, unique offering. The pork was incredibly flavorful and the fideo had just the right amount of spice to complement it perfectly. The ribs were everything you want them to be. They were meaty, fall-off-the-bone tender, and had a wonderful sweet honey pepper bark that was simply delicious. The jalapeño and cheddar sausage was another highlight. It was an excellent homemade sausage with a great double-grind texture and a satisfying snap to the casing. The sides were just as stellar as the meat. The mac and cheese was super cheesy and creamy, a perfect classic side. The Southern Style Okra tasted just like "mama's," with a deep, rich tomato flavor and perfectly cooked okra. Every item we tried was a testament to the skill and dedication of the pit masters. This is a must-visit spot for any barbecue lover, and it's clear why they are so highly acclaimed.

Family sampler platter (ribs, link, brisket, pulled pork and bread). Also comes with two sides.

Stopped by as it was highly recommended, and I haven't found good BBQ in the area as of yet. On arrival nice country tunes playing, good smokey smell in the air, which were perfect on this sunny day. There were a few people in the line, but it moved rather quickly. The guy who took our order was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the familysampler platter (feeds 3-4 people) with a chicken meal and added a boudain link. Our sides were mac and cheese and potato salad. The sampler comes with ribs, brisket, pulled pork and a link; plus two types of bbq sauces (mustard and regular) - these were good too. The ribs were fall off the bone good, and the brisket was well seasoned and tender. The mild link was not bad either, and I was shocked how good the potato salad was. I wasn't a fan of the pulled pork as it was a little dry and lacked flavor. I didn't quite make it to the boudain and mac & cheese as I got full, but there's always later.I definitely recommend and will surely be back!

We came on a Saturday around 11am, finally when it was our turn around 12:15 we placed our order. Free drinks when you wait. Good bbq. I would get more burnt ends and brisket next time.

I live close by and have seen this place expand from the last time I visited. Either this cold weather I was definitely craving some bbq. Excellent ribs. Got the special for $30 full rack ribs. Hot warm moist ribs that fall off the bone! Delicious ! Also got the special Chicken Parmesan sandwich. Excellent so much flavor in the chicken. Check them out you won't regret it !

Chopped brisket and jalapeno cheese sausage !! I preferred the muster bbq sauce.

We came a little earlier and there was already a long line. I heard that if you order in advance, you can skip the line. While you wait, the employees walk around and you can order a drink. Which is nice if you're waiting a while and it gets hot. The employees were all very nice and ambiance is how you would expect a regular bbq restaurant to be. There are plenty of seating outside but limited inside. The seats are all first come first serve, so usually the inside seating runs out first. We ordered 1/2lb ribs, 1/2lb brisket, 1/2lb sausages, and some sides like Mac&cheese, beans, loaded potato, cobbler, etc. total was about $120 after tip. The food was very delicious and worth the drive. Although, I will say that it doesn't taste that much different from my other favorite bbq restaurants. I was still a great experience and very delicious. I highly recommend to try if you're in the area.

I've tried those deemed "the best," including Salt Lick in Driftwood and Killen's. So how did CorkScrew measure up? In addition to the beef rib, we tried the moist brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. We also tried several sides, including those recommended in the Michelin review: potato salad, mac and cheese, smokey beans, and coleslaw, and I picked up a peach cobbler, as well. The beef rib: STELLAR. This was outstanding with its flavorful bark and an impossibly tender texture that truly melts in your mouth, unlike any other beef rib I've ever had. Easily the very best beef rib, without a doubt. The brisket was delicious, as well: tender and flavorful. The sausage was nothing special... on par with sausage elsewhere, as was the pork. As for the sides, I've never been a fan of beans, but since the Michelin review specifically mentioned them, I gave them a try. I'm a fan! I would definitely order these again. Their smokiness is gently tamed by a touch of sweetness. The rest? Very average. The mac and cheese tasted like the stuff I had in my elementary school cafeteria - very un-special. The potato salad was salty and was missing any semblance of potato chunks. The texture was oddly like lumpy mashed potatoes. But the other surprise for me: the cobbler. This was simply and divinely perfect with crisp, sweet buttery crumble. A wonderful way to end a hearty meal. I'm so glad I ordered our food online for pickup. When I arrived at 1pm, the line was wrapped around the building. Pickup was very easy: I texted them when I arrived, and they replied when they were ready for me to go in and retrieve it. But even if there wasn't a line, I would never eat there: the restaurant is too divey for me: very rustic, picnic-like feel both inside and out, and it was uncomfortably warm and humid (again, inside and out.) The staff was very friendly and cheerful. Glad i tried it, and when i get a hankering for a good beef rib, this is definitely where I'll be getting it!

They had a large menu & I thought the prices were very reasonable. For 3 meats and 3 sides it was about $50. We got two ribs, brisket (mixed) and the cheddar and jalapeño sausage links. Everything was pretty yummy. I thought the brisket was nice and tender while still having some great flavor. Both the fatty and lean brisket were pretty good. The ribs were super tender and the flavor was smoky and sweet. The sausage links were decent. I will say the food wasn't quote corkscrew level, but was still pretty solid. The ambiance here was really great. I liked the outdoor patio vibe & really homey feel. I liked the tin roof (it rained while we were there & I loved the sound!) & there was plenty of seating. Full of brisket and sausage its pretty damn good. The jalapeño sausage is a great, perfect grind size and coarseness. Sides are above average. For me hands down the cajun potato salad is the best I tried today. My dining partner raved about the collard greens and coleslaw. The smoked beans are delicious and the mac and cheese is pretty good too. The staff is cheerful and helpful as well.

Called ahead to learn that they open at noon and at a different location than usual - now at the Firestone Car Care lot on Holzworth, just south of Louetta and across from AMC 10/adjacent to Home Depot. Had read online that lines/wait could be long and that good is liable to run out. Fortunately, since we got an early start, arrived to find just one person ahead of us. Owners were very welcoming/friendly. Their little daughter took our order on a tablet. Ordered a Veggie Potato and 2x Two-Meat Plates (moist brisket and garlic links, each) which came with two sides (ordered BBQ beans, 2 x potato salad, and corn). Tab came to $50, which is not bad these days. Portions were plentiful and the meats were juicy and tender - the BBQ sauce was not overly sweet; had a nice vinegary flavor to it and complimented the meats very well. The Potato was huge and very tasty - a happy medley of Cheddar cheese, Spinach and other veggies, with a yummy twice-baked taste. The BBQ Beans contained ground beef and had a nice kick of heat. Potato Salad and Corn too were yummy! The orders came with two slices each of regular white bread. Jalapeños in the photos are mine. Overall, the reviews are spot-on; one of the better BBQ food places in the area, by far. Run by a friendly family - service is efficient and you return with a nice smoky smell on yourself as you wait to have your order prepared! Love it! Please support a community establishment in these tough times - you won't be disappointed!

They put it in a to go box, probably because they didn't think I'd finish it and they were right. Lol The brisket was excellent. Juicy, flavorful and I was surprised that the burnt bark parts weren't completely dried out. The ribs were tasty as well with a sweet, black pepper blend and they almost fell off the bone. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. The only slight complaint I have is that the music was a tinge loud but I was sitting in a corner. This wasn't enough for me to take their any of their 5 star rating away though!

I am not sure what the hype is for Killen's Barbecue. However, from the lackluster flavors, poor marbling of the beat, and lack of air conditioning in HOUSTON, I was left feeling quite disappointed. The main star of any Barbecue joint should be the meats that have been meticulously worked on for many hours. When the star of the show are the sides, you have a problem. The baked beans, mac and cheese, collared greens, and Brussels sprouts are delicious, as expected. The brisket was absolutely dried to the point where I couldn't tell if I was wiping my mouth with a napkin or the brisket. Yes, I ordered it fatty. The ribs were terribly marbled. If one bite was a dry portion of the rib, the other bite was an entire glob of fat. Perhaps that's how ribs are sometimes, but my experiences with many other Barbecue joints in Houston were not so much that. Take your hard-earned money and try some of the local mama/papa joints Houston has to offer.
