I live near here and we are lucky to have some spectacular barbecues within 10 miles. A lot of the magazine top 100 favorites etc. That said, I have had consistently excellent barbecue here. And I don't have to deal with a one hour line or wanting to have barbecue after two in the afternoon. An absolute terms I think they take incredibly good care of their barbecue. I think their beef is spot on. It's not overly salted. It's really just perfect. They will trim it as fatty or lean as you like. The potatoes are gigantic and an amazing value. The food was good, me and the wife had a baked potato, ribs and pepper sausage with Mac n cheese and beans. Service was great, all the way to them bringing fresh warm bread to our table. The baked potatoes was huge and with chopped brisket it was delicious, the ribs with the peppered sausage definitely recommend. Sweet tea was good too. Spring Creek bbq is really Good and is very clean restaurant but at this location It never fails that the Spring Creek @ (Spring Tx) at this location always cuts the brisket and sausage really thin. I never understood this. I never see a long line of customers here either Make you wonder why It must be the reason why people stay away This was the 4th time i have been at this location and had the same small portion experience. It took me almost 10 years to finally give Spring Creek a try, BBQ is a plenty no doubt here in Texas. Unfortunately I found their BBQ pretty lackluster. I have the sausage dinner plate (traditional) with two sides of pinto beans and green beans and a dinner roll. Sausage is just that, plain, not much seasoning adding to it. Just place it in a bun and call it a hot dog, if I'm being "frank!" The sides were equally lacking flavor, or I am just spoiled by other facilities. Green beans are straight out of the can, add some stewed tomatoes and garlic and we might talk or perhaps this is geared to those no longer with any taste buds? Beans I found a sliver of bacon so I can say they "tried." Their barbeque sauce is extremely over sweetened for my liking with brown sugar, would have liked a little more tang. Not sure if there are multiple sauce options, but the one given with my meal was a no. Took my two kiddos with me as well; kids meals consist of one meat, two sides, and a dinner roll (upcharge for brisket its a buck something comes out to be around $9 dollar meal). Both my kiddos chose brisket along with mac n cheese and fries. Fries were good, mac n cheese was your run of the mill item not terrible but nothing special. And the brisket (combo cut) was a bit dry for my liking even as a combo cut and as my review keeps stating not much flavor, meat on fire, cooked, put on plate. I personally think for the portion given for a kids meal I should have opted for one of those to save me a few bucks. Blue bell vanilla ice cream is $3.25 a bowl and they give you a generous amount. Service was overall good, my daughter enjoyed watching the employee that was tasked to bake rolls during her shift and would pull them from the oven, place them in a large wicker "laundry" basket, and pass them out to dine in patrons. It's an absolute carb lovers dream to see dozens after dozens of rolls coming out hot. Beyond the mediocre food this place does its job if you cant figure out where to eat and just need to fill the tummy. read more

Other than price hikes following COVID, I don't have much of a complaint! It was about $60 for 3 of us! The barbecue is delicious and I am a big fan of their bbq sauce! Potato salad is pretty standard, it's mustard potato salad!! Pickles are crisp and fresh and red onions are an excellent bbq companion! Beans were sweet. Ok this seems to be above average gif Texas BBQ places I really did enjoy the sides snd the fresh out of the oven tools they bring buy are a real treat. I had smoke sausage and ribs that had literally just come off the grill. So the food was gif and tasty. The suave is not too spicy or sweet do good for me. As mentioned all the sides were good and those disappeared first. Cobbler looks great but no room for it. Might have to ho just to try that out one day. read more

My wife and myself visited on yesterday 5/16/2024 and the food was good, however it was a piece of hair on one of my ribs. I summoned for the worker to come over and take a look and to take the one rib back, she did so. My wife and I continued to eat and no manager came over to say anything about the hair being on the food. As we left, I asked for the rib to be replaced and it was done so. Workers working around food should have hair nets to possibly prevent this from happening again. My biggest issue was a manager never came over to express any apology for the piece hair on my food. We love some Spring Creek and last night was their soft opening and were privileged to come in and enjoy some of our favorite bbq. We loved the energy, everyone was so helpful, happy, excited, friendly! Food was as we've always enjoyed it. And the kids/staff did an amazing job! Everything was working and flowed well without a hitch. Food was on point, sides, famous fried okra, down to their famous round the house rolls, and of course the desserts. Everything prepared perfectly and we can't wait to come back on Monday for the Grand opening. We've been stalking this place since they first broke ground and framing. We love Spring Creek, but this location has been lackluster the last two times we have visited. The last time we went the food was cold, the service was subpar and we just honestly were not impressed. We are very understanding that COVID has had an impact on restaurants and we have been graciously tipping to help in any way we can at restaurants we have visited. We chose to return tonight (7:00) because we were going to the movies and assumed we could get in and out in a pretty decent manner of time. During tonight's visit my husband ordered the turkey sandwich he said the turkey was flavorful and his only complaint was he only had 2 very thin pieces of turkey. My mom ordered the half chicken and said it was delicious, but when she asked for pickles and onions the teenage girl gave her a couple pickles and when my mom asked for just a couple more she rolled her eyes and grabbed more and then she shoved the boat across the glass case. We are assuming she had a bad day... I ordered the moist brisket and mild sausage, the young man gave me 3 small pieces of bark, I tried asking the young man if that was all I was getting and he ignored me and moved on to the next guest. I asked the girl at the register if my portion was correct and she said "Umm yeah". The glasses they had out were dirty and we had to request new drinking glasses. My dad ordered a moist brisket sandwich and fries. The sandwich came out first and when he opened his sandwich the brisket was burnt (it was not the bark) and extremely chewy. His fries came out roughly 18 minutes later and the young lady apologized for the service. The manager was nowhere to be found. I truly believe poor management is playing a part in the service. My mom went to the restroom and immediately came back saying the restrooms were disgusting and she would wait til we got to the movies. Overall our experience was subpar. We truly do love Spring Creek, but this convenient location won't be on our go to list for awhile. read more

I am glad we have a Spring Creek BBQ in our area. I have only had takeout from this location but all my orders have been perfect, service has been great and they have been ready on time. I always get the loaded brisket baked potato which comes with a roll. Serving size is good. It's about 1.5 meals for me. Kids meals are generously portioned. We normally switch their side for fries. Their rolls are delicious. When you dine in they walk around with a roll basket and offer you more. The only reason a star is knocked off is there are other bbq places that I like more. read more

This restaurant was the first and last time. My husband was watching the worker make our food we order. One of the workers spilled ice on our food with her dirty hands picked it out and threw it to the ground. So disgusting and when my husband asked nicely did you just pick up the dirty ice she dumped on his food she said No! So the guy cutting our meat gave us all burnt pieces. Customer service is bad food looks disgusting... the manager flew our receipt and said NO MONEY BACK cause we didn't want there food. I ordered barbeque Sunday to take out and eat with my sister in Conroe on Sunday. My credit card was not returned. I enjoyed the barbeque so much, I decided to go back on Monday (Labor Day) to pick up some for my family. When I went to pay, I discovered that my card was missing. When brought to management attention the young lady who made the cobbler and gave it to me after walking around with it for 10 minutes began to stomp her feet through the store.
