    Two meat platter
    Arkadiusz S.

Great spot for lunch. Stopped here the other day while traveling thru Conroe. The girl behind the counter was supper helpful and made few recommendations. The two meat platter was generously portioned and came with two sides. The brisket was great but the ribs were extremely fatty. The coleslaw was very good and the fries were done just right. The dining room is spacious and there's also an outdoor patio if you choose to eat outside. They also sell beer in addition to fountain drinks and lemonade.

One of my favorite places. Good bbq with lots of other great choices Tex Mex,burgers, chicken fried steak and more. Great service and prices. Beer available.

Dried steamed brisket and old salad. Not recommended.

Had lunch here yesterday. The brisket was very dry and had no flavor; it seemed steamed and then sliced hot so all the juice leaked out. Honestly, it was among the worst brisket I've ever been served. The side salad that I ordered was about the amount of lettuce they'd put on a hamburger, and came out with brown wilty lettuce and a half slice of tomato. It was frankly insulting. This place used to be great, but has gone way downhill in recent years. I do not expect to return, since better options - like McDonald's - exist.

Great food and excellent customer service Love the chicken fried steak and the good pie ...

honestly some of the most mid bbq I've ever had. brisket had virtually no flavor and was pretty chewy. Potato salad seemed store bought - was like eating mashed potatoes and SUPER vinegar flavored. Green beans had no flavor. Turkey was the only alright thing.

Wow, what a TERRIBLE change since the new owners took over. The brisket was grey, no smoke ring, no red in the center. The chicken was overcooked. The beans were "meh." The bread was great but it was Mrs. Baird's Texas Toast so yay for Mrs. Baird's and "yay" for someone at Vernon's for not cutting corners and using regular sliced bread or off-brand. The sliced sausage had to RECUT when we got home because it was cut like an accordion (not all the way through); however it is one of the stars on this review because it was tasty even though not presented properly. We placed a large to-go order three days in advance, arrived at 1:15 PM to pick up the order. The lady at the register says, "It says 1:30 PM pick up." Ohhhhh kaaaaayyyy. We finally were complete at 1:58 PM. Terrible service. Food quality WAY down. Some of the order had to be thrown in the trash when opened because it has some substance in it that was NOT the food in the dish and we didn't know if it was trash, bugs? Pix attached.

Ribs, brisket, sausage, potato tots, coleslaw

Went to visit my buddy in Texas and he suggested this place for BBQ. The food was delicious. The ribs had that delicious smoky flavor and wasn't dried out. The brisket was nice and tender where it just melts in your mouth. The sausage was good as well it being not too salty unlike other places. The potato tots were fried to perfection with every bit being crispy. The customer service is warm and welcoming. The price for lunch was very reasonable. I'd come back here again.

Service: we were greeted immediately upon entering the restaurant, even though it was super busy at the moment. The lady taking our order was so nice and patient, my daughter had no idea what she wanted and don't have a voice right now. She helped us with all the questions we had and got us all squared away quickly, but not rushed. Everyone else working was friendly in general, great environment! Food: oh man, this place was sooooooo good! I am excited to go back and try more food. I got the sausage on a potato, let me tell you, it's my new favorite! My daughter got the country fried steak, it needed a little salt but otherwise was great. My mom hasn't stopped talking about the coleslaw since we left. Overall this place was the absolute best! We loved the people, food, and overall atmosphere. Guaranteed to be back, over and over again!

The pickles were good, crunchy, not overly oily, and stayed together! 12/10 Pickle flatbread: apparently I felt in a pickle escapade mood. Surpringly not over pickly and delicious. I would absolutely get this again. The crust was soft and cheese was melty! 9/10 Fish tacos: average. The chipotle sauce was a bit spicy. Don't know that I would get these again. 5/10 Fries I could skip, not my fave. The street corn was so good, though I wouldn't consider it traditional &! A bit heavy on the red onion, but I enjoyed it! Their sauces were all so good! The prices were fair & I feel like the amount I paid was relative to what I had, so kudos to management for that! Last but certainly not least, Prestyn, our server was great and hilarious. We truly enjoyed her & her jokes! PS - Girl, you and your name are beautiful! At some point, we lost count on the songs, as one blended into another and each sounded just like the one before it. Hey, it was Thursday and he was a local putting himself out there for us to listen to. It's nice to have live entertainment during dinner and the background music was just background enough. Our seats were near the bar at the high top tables that gave a commanding view of the stage and bar area. The place was crowded for a Thursday night, filled with regulars enjoying the food and ambiance this century old building exudes in spades. Much like the breakfast menu we enjoyed a few weeks ago, our meals were almost identical. We both enjoyed the Reuben sandwich for our dinner. I personally wished it had more kraut, but the corned beef was tender and flavorful. I had added the sweet potato fried and we shared the cheesy fries as an appetizer. Cheesy fries do not do it justice. They were coated with more than enough cheese, accented with chopped onions and other herbs that added flavor and texture. Our waitress was wonderful and explained anything we had a question about during our meal order. I had an amber beer with dinner that really accented the reuben nicely. All in all, the dinner service was as enjoyable as our venture in there for breakfast. The Red Brick Tavern has now become a place we will go to more often ... not only for the food, but for the ambiance. Ciao, Darrell

The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect: cozy, rustic, and filled with the smell of biscuits and fried apples. I love that it's conveniently located right off the highway, perfect for a casual breakfast stop or a relaxing dinner after a long drive. The quality of the food is consistently solid. The hashbrown casserole is dangerously good, and I've never met a pancake here I didn't like. Everything has that homemade touch that keeps me coming back when I'm craving comfort food. Now, for the less sweet side of the experience: prices have crept up a bit, and for what used to be a very affordable meal, it sometimes feels a little high now. Service can also be hit or miss, not unfriendly, just often stretched thin. There have been a few times when my coffee sat empty longer than I'd like because the staff seemed overwhelmed (to be fair, this place is always busy, so it's understandable). Overall, Cracker Barrel is still a reliable go-to for hearty food and that unmistakable homey atmosphere. If you go, plan for a bit of a wait and bring your patience.

This restaurant is located by the lake so we decided to sit outside to enjoy the views. Our server Collin was pretty nice and was on top of everything. Checked in on us a few times & made sure our drinks were refilled. To start, I ordered their gumbo. For our mains I got 3 pounds of crawfish with sausage & it comes with 2 potatoes & 1 corn. My BF ordered their shrimp Po-boy with French fries. & for dessert I got some beignets. I also ordered the Cajun pasta with shrimp to go. Now, I'm not gonna lie I was a little disappointed that I was overcharged for my crawfish. So they had the happy hour which you can get 2 pounds for 14 bucks. However I was charged 20.99 for 2 pounds on top of that another 7.99 for an extra pound. Okay, now I know I'm not tripping but the math ain't mathing. I didn't look at my receipt until I got home, but I'm not going to be upset over a few bucks. * Seafood Gumbo- kind of expensive for a cup of gumbo since it was 9.69 however it didn't taste bad. The sauce was on the thicker side and it wasn't salty, it had the right amount of seasoning. I would order it again. 3.5/5 * Shrimp Po-boy with fries- loved the batter and the shrimp was fried to perfection. Sauce was good too. Fries were just okay. 3.3/5 * 3 pounds of crawfish with sausage, potatoes and corn- whoever is boiling in the back knows what they're doing. The crawfish was buttery, spice level wasn't too spicy but had good amount of heat. The spicy mayo dipping sauce that was provided was delicious. Sausage was above standard. Corn was cooked nicely but the potatoes could've been boiled for another minute or two. The only criticism I have is that they need to purge their crawfish a little better. 4/5 * Cajun Pasta with shrimp- the pasta was creamy and shrimp was cooked nicely. However for an extra 5 bucks to substitute for shrimp they could've given at least 6-8 shrimps. The 4 I received was on the skimpy side. 3.4/5 * Beignets- came out piping hot. It was doughy, pillowy and had good texture. It also wasn't oily which is good. I just wish they had some sort of dipping sauce for the beignets but I ain't mad at the whip cream though. 4/5 Overall, I'll definitely come back. The inside looks nice with a beach type vibes. The patio views next to the lake was also good. Collin was a solid server. They also have a full bar as well. I'll have to order some of their cocktails next time.
