First time eating here . Came with a coworker to have lunch and he recommended burger Tex . Food was delicious and it didn't disappoint. Hot and fresh . Background: the secretary at work was getting lunch here and asked if I wanted anything. I asked for the bacon burger daily special with added cheese. As you can see from the picture I posted, they forgot to include one significant ingredient in a bacon burger: bacons! Burger is delicious and good sized. So first off I kick my self for not a pic. Ouch, that hurt. Anyway, the wife and I were headed to one of those auction site pickup locations and we had an hour to kill and it was past lunchtime and we were hungry so to Yelp we turned. I was not in the mood for Laredo Taco Company tacos. Burger Tex at Brittmoore was 2 or 3 selections from the top, but it was the closest and had good reviews. Let me say this now, they only do lunch 10a-2:30 or 3:00p. So it's in an industrial area so hours make sense. Menu pretty straightforward with several burger options as well as several fried rice dishes. We wanted split a combo meal and we got the 1/2# burger with cheese, fries and a drink and added another drink for $16. What we got was more than we could finish. Huge burger and tons of FFs - nice and crispy. The burger was plain, but they have a burger fixin' bar with all the good stuff - like Fuddrucker's used to do it. Burger was very good. Not disappointed at all. Now certainly not a place we would frequent as it's not remotely close to the house. But if by chance in the area, for sure. Later. read more

Great little burger spot. Service was quick and friendly. You need to order from the counter and obtain your order number. Burger was made fresh as we ordered. All the burger fixings are available at the burger bar. Me and my hubby split the 1/2 lb cheese burger combo and it was just right. They served hot crinkle cut fries on the side. Driving by it may not catch your attention. Once you walk in you are blown away by a neatly organized condiment bar. I usually do not even put toppings on my burger, but I could not resist the fresh toppings. The burger was delicious. Definitely worth experiencing if you are considering this place. read more

I mostly am here for their FANTASTIC burgers, but to qualify, my earlier rating is just for those. They do not have the super delicious Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich like the other Burger Tex locations and their fish and shrimp dishes are something to stay away from unless you're an eight year old that still loves Steak Country Buffet :-/ They are open later than the Gessner location which is a BIG plus. read more

I know I should of taken a picture of the grilled chicken, but I didn't lol. Anyways, it was my first time here and I really enjoyed my lunch. You can actually taste the chicken with out it being burnt on the skillet like some places do. The chicken isn't dry and it's well seasoned. Definitely a must try! read more

Always wanted to try this place. I ordered there hamburger. The bun is soft. The patty was juicy and the fries were good. They put the lettuce, tomato, and pickles in a plastic clear container. Ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise in tiny clear containers. I like that everything is fresh. Great place to eat great hamburgers. read more

I have been eating here for years. Their burgers are excellent. They use a very good fresh beef patty and their own fresh baked buns. Their buns are lightly toasted on the grill as your patty cooks. Then they have a nice condiments bar so you can create your the burger how you like it. Fries are good also! They also have some Asian type plates with fried rice with chicken, fish or bulgoki. Everything is prepared fresh. The guy at the register has a great personality and is always very upbeat. They provide great service. I used to work down the street but even though I'm retired, I still go a minimum of once a week. read more

I'm struggling on this one! It's not what you'd expect from the heavy industrial area to find a small burger joint in a converted space. Service is reasonably quick and pricing is fair. The cashier coughed in her hands a time too many before taking the order. And it didn't seem to bother her one bit. She handed me my drink cup after writing the order number on it. I left it on the counter and took another. Listen carefully for your number because the accent makes it hard to understand. Our order was incorrect when I went up. Ordered two mushroom burgers but there were no shrooms. Cashier went looking for my cup that was at the table and kept rotating it as if the number would tell the order. The cook said she'd add and bring out as she apologized for the mixup. As promised, the cook delivered. The burgers are a good size the buns are nice, the condiments and toppings after generic though the area was well kept. The crinkle fries were bland. This may be a nice lunch spot for folks in the area, but nothing I'd return to or recommend. Coughing and handling my cup after I put my drink on the table were huge turn offs. read more

Yes I said fried rice lol! Never had the fried rice so can't comment on that but the burgers are definitely their specialty. Well, I'm still working across the street and it's been nearly ten years now, and Burger Tex is still my solid go-to lunch place! They are under new management now and they have made vast improvements on the decor inside. It's still very quaint and comfy. The food is just as great with few changes, but the new management has improved the decor inside. The service here is friendly and helpful. I do love that you can completely customize your burger and I'm glad that has stayed the same. read more

Small little burger joint but small is not how i would describe the flavor. I got an avocado burger, my boyfriend got the bulgoggi burger both were so fresh. Burgers here are never frozen and everything is fresh. Even the bread is made daily by workers. The fries are left unseasoned but you can put salt and seasoning and even melted cheese if you would like! i love the personalization of the place. not just with the fires but the toppings for the burgers are out for you to add as you please. Its a small detail but its nice to put more onion if you like onions or none if you dont, a couple more lettuce leafs if you please. Now back to the burger itself. One of the juiciest burgers iv had. The burgers arnt as cheap as a fast food joint but the size of the patty compliments this price. Worth a visit if you're in need of a quick bite read more

2nd time I've been here and their burgers have been, so far, great. I had the mushroom burger the first time and today I had the bacon burger. I pay attention to the way patties are seasoned and the quality of meat and this place does both very well. So they make your basic burger and from there, you add whatever toppings you want I the side, tomatoes, lettuce, jalapenos, mayo... It's like a build it yourself. That would be the only reason I don't give it 5 stars. It's not very big and never gets packed I think because of location. They have a TV in one area and a radio both playing local stations so it's whatever you feel like being around. They're family-owned and make it really comfortable for their patrons. Definitely worth at least one visit! read more

This place is conveniently located to get a quick lunch. I'm not their biggest fan but I'm must admit that when they get the order right, their food is good. Burger are cooked just right, homemade buns are good, I've had their fried rice which is pretty good as well. The only think I don't recommend is their salad, it's simply not their specialty, to basic, I like my salad a little better garnished. Their grilled chicken and shrimps have some nice flavor. Their bulgolgy burger has a very interesting and nice flavor but the last one I had the meat was not so great (on chewy side) so I don't order it anymore. They serve good food for good price which is perfect for quick lunch. read more

Burgers were pretty big. Place is rather small. Beef was hand made just missing the "grill" taste. Didn't taste much like ground beef to be honest. Great fries. I will probably go again but will try something different on the menu. read more

The ordering over the phone was a bit complicated cause of the woman's heavy accent and limited English, but in the end I was able to get my order thru. I must say the food is great. Their bun are nicely toasted and the beef are juicy. There is a topping bar which is free and you can pile on as much as you want. Their fries are fresh, crispy and good. This is a great place to grab lunch on the go. One thing to note is that if you want cheese on your patty you must tell them so or else you won't get any. Sometime they ask you and sometimes they don't. read more

This is my number one burger place!! I have been eating here for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. Buns are lightly toasted, burgers are always cooked to my liking, fries are seasoned just right, and condiments are out for you to make it just to your perfection. I love love love Burger Texas! I eat here almost everyday. The people here are very friendly their food is delicious and the kid that works behind the counter always greets me with a smile and takes good care of me. I usually get the four ounce burger with bacon and cheese its always cooked perfect never dry the buns are fresh and the bacon is thick and crispy. Their prices are reasonable considering the quality you get is comparable to Fuddruckers. I will continue to eat burger text on a daily basis. read more

I got gumbo for my lunch & my fiancé got crawfish. I'm from Louisiana & I'll admit, I've had worse gumbo for sure. Definitely not the kick I normally would like in a gumbo, but i absolutely finished my bowl! Thank you Bree & Bluewater for an amazing lunch! We will definitely be coming back! :)

Lots of people and yelpers said it is their go to for crawfish and other seafood. I am not much of a crawfish person, but my wife does like them so usually I am going to pick up for her. She always enjoyed them. I have tried some of their other seafood dishes and I have not been disappointed. If you are going to check them out, please allow time to wait because you will. They are always that busy.
