    Cajun & Garlic Butter Crawfish
    Amie N.

My family and I went to this place through the recommendation of a friend and we were not disappointed. Much appreciation towards the staff member who single handedly greeted and bussed all of the tables while taking orders both in-person and on the phone the entire time! Foodwise, we opted for 5lbs of the garlic butter & Cajun crawfish which came with 3 potatoes and 2 corns. Added 2 sausages which I personally didn't have but parents did approve. My friend also said the house sauce (WhoDat) was also very good if you like a little more lemon in your flavor. The flavor of the crawfish was spot-on, with a few odd tasting ones here and there but not enough to ruin the experience. Shells were soft and easy to crack this time in the season which allowed us to get every last bit. The only other thing we ate was the fried butterfly shrimp which was also good, I definitely want to try more of their fried foods next time around or even during off-season. Bonus points is that this place is BYOB. Location-wise, this place isn't too far from more well-known spots like LTK. Highly recommend to try this place out when you get the chance and support another local business that gives great service :)

It's more like a 3.7 because there were negatives and positives: Positives: service was good and waitresses were polite and accommodating; fried shrimp was very good; who dat box was a lot of food and was mostly tasty. Boiled potatoes were good. You can pay with your phone. Negatives/things that could easily be improved: fried oysters were overcooked; rice was a bit mushy; gumbo was good but had to be doctored up with hot sauce, s&p; fries were just mid; onions strings were pointless; can only sub fries for rice. I thought the who dat sauce was greasy, but my husband enjoyed it, so it's a preference. The tables were a little greasy/sticky. Overall, it was typical Cajun Viet; it's not Nola Cajun, so there were many other viet dishes there as well. The prices were very reasonable, especially in this economy. I would go again for the gumbo and shrimp; we still want to try their crawfish.

Bread that came with crawfish etouffe'

I wanted to like this place if for no other reason, its name. Unfortunately it didn't work out. My first visit was to try the shrimp po boy w/fries for about $13. Price wise, no complaints. Soft drink options here are bottled only and the food was ready in about 10 minutes. The Po boy was served on a hot dog style baguette with fried shrimp, dressed and a sauce drizzled over the shrimp. Taste wise it was a little disappointing. I didn't like the drizzled sauce taste and would have preferred real French bread. Nothing stood out on the sandwich. The fries were barely warm and the onion straws weren't good. I gave this meal a 2. I wouldn't order it again. I decided to give WhoDat another chance and returned a couple of weeks later for the crawfish etouffe for $13. Again, a reasonable price and this meal took about 15 minutes to arrive and contained 2 small slices of bread. Again, I didn't like the taste of this dish. The cream sauce in the etouffe did not appeal to me. I decided that I wouldn't order it again (2). Another negative to this restaurant is that it is a table service eatery but really should be counter service instead. The tip raises the cost of eating here and is unnecessary.

I decided to give this place a try and I am so glad that i did. Such a hidden gem. Very reasonable price and generous amount. Taste is amazing. I will be back to try more items on the menu.

Such an underrated place! I got 6 lbs of crawfish priced at $7.99/lb and they had a special of buy 5, get 1 free. It also came with 3 potatoes and 2 corn. The who dat sauce was delicious and the crawfish was meaty and a good size. The boudin balls were also super good. The restaurant itself is super clean and service was great. I'll definitely be coming back!

5 pounds crawfish with garlic butter/cajun sauce

Well, shit. Went back in to grab some more of that tasty crawfish we enjoyed on our last visit. Apparently, they stopped making the good stuff and replaced it with some that was either frozen or previously cooked. No amount of spice, butter, and garlic can mask the stale flavor and spongy texture of old crawfish. I apologize to any of you who were led astray by my previous review.

Food was made fresh and served hot. They were very attentive. Food was tasty. I like that they peeled the shrimp. Generous portions. If the potatoes were smaller, I think the seasoning would have penetrated throughout the potato more. Who Dat sauce was yummy.

Always nice to see more Viet Cajun restaurants open up on this side of town. They had a nice buy 5 lbs of crawfish and get 1 free special going on so I opted for that. They have three flavors for crawfish but you can actually mix two of them, so I tried the Cajun + garlic butter combo. I also sampled their house "WhoDat" sauce and I thought that was delicious! It's like a combination of lemon pepper and garlic butter, and I wish I had gone with that sauce option instead. The Cajun garlic butter was still good though. The crawfish was cooked well and a decent size. I wish the potatoes and corn were mixed in with crawfish though instead of being served on the side. The fried catfish here is also quite flavorful and moist. On a separate occasion, I tried their sausage, red beans, and rice, and I enjoyed that as well. Very delicious Cajun flavors. My only critic is that I wish they used an actual plate/bowl for the rice instead of a takeout box, seems a bit wasteful. Overall, I definitely need to come back and try their seafood with their signature house sauce!

The big who dat box and crawfish is super good and super fire!! Delicious!! The flavors a through the roof!! The staff is super nice

We were asked about our drinks, ordered them and a dozen raw oysters. Server came back and took our order. Got the snow crabs with potato and sausage with the house seasoning that the server recommended. Also got 2 pounds of shrimp (paid extra for heads off) and the server made it seem like the heat level on the hottest was ghost pepper, next level up being habanero and then hot. Asked if we could sample the sauce and told no as they make each one individually. Being weary of blowing our tongues out we opted for less heat. Oysters came and they were a decent size. I had to ask for some crackers & horse radish, which what was brought to me was way more than one person would ever consume (no charge). Food came and I'm waiting on a bucket to toss my shells in. Finally had to ask and I was told that most people just put it on the table hence the tables being covered. The sauce on my crab was WAY too sweet. The heat level was too mild and the crab itself was hard to get out the shell. I asked for some melted butter and was told I would be charged for it. Overall I left still wanting more which isn't my usual. However I can say been there done that.

We ordered: - Fried Calamari - Fried Seafood Platter | Fried flounder, deviled crab, baby shrimp, fried oysters, jumbo shrimp The fried calamari was actually very good. The batter was light, crispy, and perfectly salted. The fried seafood platter was very lackluster. Unlike the calamari, the batter was soggy. The side of fries that came with it was soggy and flavorless as well.

Some friends had the ceviche oysters that I didn't try but it looked like pico on oysters. The calamari app was good lots of parm and thicker breading, different than most. I had the dirty rice and it wasn't my favorite, tasted like I make at home but with thicker chunks of celery that threw me off, flavor was good though. Had the garlic parm wings flats which came wet which I was excited for but the skin kept separating from the wing, the meat was good. My friends got the crawfish which looks bomb if your into crawfish and the fixing. Service was really good, top notch atmosphere so I would go back and just get something different. Give it a try
