Well, I was attempting to update my previous review with pictures since someone commented that I didn't have pictures attached, but anyhow, we have visited this seafood establishment probably eight times at least since they have opened and every single time the service has been great and the food has been even better. I always get aside of the citrus heat and dip my seafood because my person prefers the spicy Cajun. My son absolutely loves the chicken tenders and they give a great portion for a kids meal. It's enough food for a growing teenage boy. This is our go to spot and the neighborhood and we hope they stay around for a long time.! They have at least five or six TVs as well so we like to catch the game. It's a good family friendly environment. read more

I use to frequent this place because it was good and not too far from my home. I would recommend this place to my peers. I am saddened to say that this might be last time here :( They're currently doing $7.95/lb and also buy 5, get 1 free. Amazing deal! I ordered 6lbs citrus heat spicy and 2lbs garlic butter medium with potatoes, corn and sausage. I could barely tell the difference between the sauces. They both tasted like garlic butter. I wish there was more citrus from the citrus heat. Also, it was a bit too salty. The spice levels were good. The potatoes were boiled perfectly and so was the corn. However, the sausage was spongy. I'm not sure if they changed which sausage they used, but I remember it being not as spongy and better flavor. Overall, the crawfish was mediocre. I ordered a side of shrimp garlic noodles. Oddly, it came with a small sauce cup of blue cheese? I'm guessing for the shrimp. The garlic noodles had a smell that threw me off, maybe it was the parmesan? the blue cheese? It just wasn't the same garlic noodles that I used to order. read more

I was so excited to celebrate my birthday with a boil. My research said I could get plain butter with no seasoning which was exactly what I wanted- The waitress said all of the butter came with garlic. I pointed to the menu that said plain butter no seasoning. She said yes but there is garlic- I noted that garlic butter was also on the menu so what was the difference- We drove an hour to get here- very disappointed read more

I came for my first batch of the crawfish season and I was really impressed by the flavors and the size of the crawfish. We went for there buy 5 lbs get one free special and got 3 lbs of the garlic butter and 3lbs of the citrus heat, heat level: spicy. We also got corn, potatoes, and sausage and their garlic noodles on the side which was recommended to us by a friend. The garlic butter was good, but I enjoyed the citrus heat more. Both were spicy as promised and had great flavor. The garlic butter was pretty standard and had a milder flavor compared to the citrus heat. (6.8/10) The citrus heat had a nice sweetness to it and was one of the more unique flavors I've had. (8/10) The only downside was the temperature of the crawfish. Though they came piping hot in the bags, as I was eating the crawfish there were a few that were cold. Other than that I really did enjoy the flavors I just wish it all came out hot. I also liked how the corn, potatoes, and sausage came separate and in their own sauce. It tasted like a rich honey butter which was super yummy. (7.5/10) The garlic noodles were also delicious and had a strong garlic flavor. I thought they were great to pair with the crawfish and some of the better garlic noodles that I've had. (7.5/10) Overall, I enjoyed the bold flavors and the staff were super nice. I will definitely be back for some more crawfish! read more

It was our first time here and I enjoyed it! Everything was fresh, flavorful, service was on point, and the music was fun. It felt like a true neighborhood bar; just busy enough but not to the point where you can't hear the conversation at your table. I did get the spicy garlic butter on my crawfish and it was a little than different than I expected. Not a bad expectation..just, I think it somewhat not spicy enough, needed more garlic chunks in it. I think next time I'll try "fire" and see if that's more the seasoning I'm wanting. Crawfish was smedium size (yes, smedium lol). The lobster roll comes with spicy mayo. My son has a thing about everything being too spicy so they were kind enough to use regular mayonnaise. I did love that there was a separate handwashing station outside of the bathroom. We will be back! read more

Viet Cajun crawfish. Plenty of seating and large parking lot. I tried their garlic butter and citrus heat crawfish. The garlic butter is pretty standard and isn't all that memorable. The spice levels aren't all that noticeable even if you get the spiciest. The real standout is their citrus heat flavor though. You can really taste the citrus and garlic flavors in the sauce. Very addicting and I love dipping the crawfish tails into the bottom of the bag to get all that liquid gold. The size was average for the peak of the season. My biggest complaint is that these crawfish get cold fast compared to other places for some reason... as for the sides like potato, corn, and sausage, be sure to also toss those in citrus heat sauce. They're all what you'd expect out of sides. I really like the garlic noodles here. I like the texture of the noodles they use, and I like that it doesn't taste too greasy. Sometimes I order it with catfish and it's well seasoned and tasty. This is a spot I'll be sure to swing by during crawfish season just for their citrus heat sauce. Hopefully they stay consistent. read more

New crawfish place in town. Good crawfish and that's pretty much all you should order LOL. Well that's the main thing on the menu and they delivered it. Japanese raw oysters was good too but it's pretty much the same as other oyster place. We ordered the crawfish fried rice but it was too spicy. The Michelada definitely can be a touch more of the michelada, it didn't have the full flavor of it. Service was nice. Our server was friendly and courteous read more

Finally made it here on a Monday at 1PM where there's no line! I came for the $3.99lb promotion. The max is 2lbs per person. The interior decor is nice, it is different from other Viet Cajun restaurants. They might have focused too much on the interior and not the food.... This is an order at the counter restaurant but I placed a ToGo order instead. Fried Oysters were not that good.. I am not a fan of the batter. The batter is thick and lacks flavor. The sweet potato fries were also bland. 3/10 The crawfish were a bit overcooked for my liking and not juicy at all. I like my crawfish juicy and full of flavor. I also like to eat claws but because they were overcooked, I was not able to extract the meat without it breaking apart. The Citrus Heat flavor is pretty good! I just wish the crawfish was actually juicy. 7/10 for flavor. The Garlic Butter flavor was okay, nothing special. I didn't taste any garlic.... 3/10 I might not come back for full priced crawfish.. social media definitely over hyped this place. read more

Came here 2 weeks ago, the service was great, the food was even better! Crawfish was a good size for end of February, I really enjoyed the citrus heat flavor, it had a slight twang to it that was super addicting. Garlic butter flavor was also very flavorful, plus they're running the buy 5lbs get 1 lbs free. I also loved the shrimp garlic noodles, the shrimp was crispy and seasoned and the garlic noodles were super buttery and packed with flavor. My only advice is to order your crawfish in batches, I'm not sure if it's because we sat right under the ac or the shallow trays that they use but our crawfish got cold pretty quick read more

Soft /grand openings are usually a mess. The wait was insane on Sunday 03/16 at 4:30 pm it was over 2 hrs wait.. I ordered togo and it was out in 30 mins for me to get my food.. The food was pretty good and flavorful.. I feel bad for the employees because of rude customer's being upset about wait times. It is not the staff's fault. I really appreciate the 30% off all menu items. I was able to try different items. read more

The crawfish was great, customer service was HORRIBLE. We came 2 hours before closing, and the employees treated us like we were bothering them by being there. Our waitress didnt greet us, she just walked up to us and stared until we told her our order. She never came to check on us the entire time, we had to flag down another worker for help. Also ordered the charbroiled oysters, I only ate one, they were disappointing. Save your money, go down the street to hanks. Amazing food and customer service. Don't spend your money here at an establishment that treats you like that don't want your business. read more

Arrived at 1215 on Sunday. They open at 12. Was told 30 min wait but I could clearly see no one seated had been served. But I took the number anyway. After 75min we were finally seated. Took 20 min and I had to physically stop someone to take our order. We were told none of the advertised specials were applicable today except 30% off. Fine we've waited this long. Asked what their house special sauce was and was told garlic butter. Food arrived in acceptable amount of time. Well most of it. However, what we were served was NOT VIETCAJUN. It's more like garlic pepper butter. Lacked any flavor and crawfish were small. Would have done better at HEB! I drove 30min and was super excited to try this place. It's a NO FOR ME. My first crawfish of the season, and I've never been so disappointed. Fail on all levels. Service, food and ambiance. Everyone working here is clearly stressed which doesn't provide a relaxed enjoyable ambiance. read more

I enjoyed the flavor (citrus heat) of my crawfish along with garlic noodles when I went during grand opening. I will definitely be back to try other items on the menu due to the great hospitality and atmosphere. People shouldn't shy away from this establishment due to long wait or being sold out of certain items as they just had their grand opening. As a Houston local, I can understand. read more

1. The food is really good and yummy. I would highly recommend them, as long as you DON'T want to order anything extra. 2. The oysters were fresh and tasty. However their oyster shucker failed to cut the oyster muscle from the top of the bottom shell. Which meant the oyster could not easily slide off the shell. When I explained this to the server, they didn't understand what I was saying. I asked for a knife so I could cut the oyster attachment and they stated they didn't have any knives for the customers to use. So I asked for a fork instead, which they brought to us. This is due to an inexperienced oyster shucker. Or, maybe they were in too much of hurry. Not sure which. NOTE: I have shucked 1,000's of oysters at my seafood markets. 3. There is absolutely NO WAY to order anything extra, AFTER you have sat down. The Gumbo was amazing and full of big chunks of seafood. We wanted to order a few bowls to take home to the family. When we asked the waiter. They told us to go to the ordering counter. The counter order taker told us, we had to go to the end of the 30 or 40 person line that almost goes outside the door, to place your extra order to take home , so they missed our additional order. 4. We bagged our leftovers, about a pound of shrimp, a piece of corn and potato and a few crawfish. The two of us took turns to go wash our hands after we finished eating. After I returned to the table, my friend went to wash their hands. As I sat at the table to wait for my friend, they bussed the table and wrapped the table plastic and all the trash, ALONG WITH OUR LEFTOVERS. For which I protested to the person bussing the table that they had taken our leftovers. They didn't understand what I was asking them and balled up everything and tossed it into the trash can. I understand they were busy and needed the table. I spoke the manager and he was gracious enough to give us a half pound of shrimp to make up for our loss. I would recommend them. They have some growing pains to figure out read more

Food is very good here. Cheapest oysters in our area. We've had the blackened salmon and catfish. Their "dirty rice" is not truly DR, flavorful rice but with no meat. Fresh side salads, shrimp fried rice, lacks flavor and they use too large shrimp, They need to dice it up. We go at odd times but never busy as when they first opened. Hope they last. read more

Great experience every time I've been. The crawfish is good. I've gotten it to go twice and no complaints. I've sat in once for the happy house specials which are from 12pm to 7pm. We had he oysters and frozen drinks. The oysters were really good and it grimy. We enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and it took a while to get service at the bar. I'm not sure if people sit there often. It seemed like the waiters had to figure out who was our server. Overall quick service after the initial introduction. The atmosphere was family friendly as there were a few parties with children. read more

We had a get together here for happy hour and enjoyed the food. They have TVs to watch, bar food and drinks. A great place to meet up. Prices are very reasonable. I only wish the music they played was different. I remember it being more like clubbing type which didn't match the establishment. Country music would've been better or just a little calmer beat, soft rock or something. read more

I can't believe I came back to Yelp to write a review after all these years, but here we are. I'm only writing this to warn others and hopefully for management to actually take this criticism and do something to improve. If they don't figure this out soon, they won't last. Never coming back. What a joke. I got there at 12:15 PM -- they open at 12 PM -- and there was already a massive line just to order. Meanwhile, people who hadn't even ordered were grabbing tables like it was some kind of free-for-all. Seriously, what's the point of waiting in line to order if you then have to fight for a table afterward? Makes zero sense. After finally managing to order, they gave me a buzzer -- which I thought meant they'd at least have some kind of system for seating -- but nope. They don't even call you when a table is ready! You're just left standing there, hoping something opens up while other people who haven't even ordered are already sitting down. Total chaos. I sat there for over 30 minutes with nothing -- just watching other tables that had been there since opening still waiting for their food. How does that even happen? If you can't handle the rush, maybe stop blowing up social media with ads. It's not that hard to precook crawfish and keep things moving. And then -- this is the part that blew my mind -- they eventually just stopped taking orders and locked the doors. Are you kidding me?! When I tried to talk to someone about it, not only were the staff clueless, but the manager was just as bad. They had no idea how to manage the situation, just standing there looking confused while a bunch of frustrated customers came up to the counter to complain about the long wait. It was a total mess. What's even more frustrating is how all these influencers and social media posts make this place seem like it's amazing -- and it's the complete opposite. It's honestly sad to see all the hype online, only to show up and realize it's a total disaster. read more

The crawfish has good flavor. The food is a bit pricey, but good. I'm just appalled they don't offer free water.
