Toddy Oaks is a beautiful place, but the people who run it are completely fake and unpleasant. Leading up to our baby shower, they were incredibly welcoming, inviting, and full of promises. They acted giddy and happy to help us put everything together, reassuring us that they would be there to support us on our big day. That all changed the moment they got paid. On the day of the event, we only saw the owners twice, and neither time was to help us. When I walked up to the owner to thank him for having us, his response was completely unprofessional: "Are you kidding? This is for you, you paid for it." The only other time he approached us was to aggressively complain about someone taking up two parking spots--and it wasn't even one of our guests. They also explicitly promised they would check on us throughout the event to see if we needed refills on water or drinks. They completely ghosted. We never saw them, and our guests were left without service. It has been three weeks since the event, and we haven't received a single follow-up call or text to ask how things went. They got their money and completely checked out. Nice place, but terrible owners and even worse service. Never again will we book with them. Save your money and go somewhere where the staff actually cares about your business. read more

This spot is advertised incorrectly. We stopped by on a late Saturday afternoon hoping to find a distillery or tasting room and was surprised to find the business not only closed, but also a wedding venue. There's an open courtyard in the middle and a (locked up) office area which looks like a wedding planning office. It was a nice space but definitely not a winery, brewery, or distillery. read more

Went to the Eagles tribute band concert there. Great Band. The venue was was nice. The staff were very nice. Parking is a challenge if you don't arrive early, we had to part a couple blocks away and walk. The big bummer was the Beer was TERRIBLE. Sent the first pitcher back, 2nd Pitch was a different flavor and it was bad too. The beer was flat and tasted sour. There were no other beer options. Nothing in a cans or bottles. It's already very sus to pay 7.50 for 3oz drinks but they threatened to monitor us to stand only for 15.00 each cover and the place was dead..our friends paid 25 each for reservation..they wanted 30 each for us..the girl kept insulting my husband calling him "Big man" The manager cussed us and refused to call the owner. You pull up, they promptly walk out with a menu, take your order, honor the Yelp check in offer ( every single time with no hesitation might I add) and they return with your sealed beverage quickly. The dranks are always strong and flavorful. Believe that. The location is in the middle of a residential neighborhood but you can't miss it if you're looking. I posted a video. The side of the building has giant tropical beverages painted along the side. The employees are always delightful and offer recommendations and daily specials. I'm a huge fan of the pina colada, strawberry&mango and the CHEMICAL X will put you on your ass. Be prepared. That's your only warning. The prices are good compared to other establishments like this and they offer 5 different sizes but I usually get the 32oz because that's just how I roll. I'm typically pretty darn tipsy a hour later to be quite honest. I would recommend this place to anyone for any occasion. I've picked up before going to a BYOB restaurant, girls night in, before a party and just a because. Although they sell daiquiris, they also make wine and prepackaged jello shot mixtures. My family rented out the small event space for a surprise birthday party for my dad. While I didn't work directly with the staff my mom did and had nothing but wonderful things to say. They were incredibly helpful throughout the process and especially for being last minute! The venue was beautiful and the perfect size. We had between 40-50 people total with several people hanging out on the porch/ lawn since it was nice outside. Tables, tablecloths and chairs were provided. We brought in our own decorations and food. Breaking down afterward we didn't feel rushed. The bartender was also very friendly. Everyone loved the beer that they make in house! Overall I would definitely recommend Toddy Oaks as an event space. They are very accommodating and friendly people with a beautiful space that can easily be overlooked. I know that there is so much more to this place, this review is only on the daiquiri drive thru spot. Living in Katy as long as I have I am shocked that I never knew about this spot until a friend of mine told me about this. This place is cool as soon as you drive up to the spot and they come outside with the menu. There is so much to choose from but I was told that everything is good here. I decided to try a White Russian, I got a regular size because I learned from previous spots that these places are not joke. lol. I also decided to try one of the sour apple jello shots. The 1st taste of the of the White Russian....whew it had a nice little punch which I like!!! Now the jello shot, yes these are great! They taste like ones you would make at home with a strong punch. After passing this place up for more than a year, my wife and I decided to stop in one Saturday night. Its a drive through! You don't even have to get out of your car. They came out and gave us a menu and took our order and a few minutes later we had our drinks. It reminds me of New Orleans Original Daiquiris back in New Orleans. They were plenty strong and we were very satisfied. They had a little different taste then what I was used to for Daiquiris but it got the job done. They should have a way to leave some menus at the beginning of the drive through so that you can have your order ready when you pull up. read more

We needed a venue for our wedding because our original plan was cancelled due to covid. Toddy Oaks did an amazing job helping us through this process as we had only a month to plan a different wedding. They were extremely patient, helpful, and generous while working with us to create our special day. The grooms and bridal suites were just what we needed and are very well decorated. Cocktail hour was in their sunset bar which worked out perfectly, and then we had dinner in the tasting room. We had about 30 people for dinner and it was perfect! The outdoor area is spacious and beautiful with a big Oak tree. There are lights hanging everywhere which makes for beautiful pictures. Absolutely love this place. Almost hidden away and the lawn is beautiful! They normally have some people playing live music to add to the atmosphere. Drinks are great and pretty cheap. The daqs smack! Only thing that I'll say is it's more of a middle age-older crowd. So for someone young like me there's not much mingling to do. I have passed by what I thought was a drive-through daiquiri place - turns out it's a winery, distillery, Wedding venue, company events, retirement parties, birthday parties, kind of place. Even if you go to have a couple of cocktails in sit outside it's open to the public. Certain nights they have live music. Me and a friend came to have some drinks tonight at 6:50 pm. Walked up to the young lady at the door who said "you're good, we charge cover at 7", so we walked in. One to two minutes later some guy who works there asks if we reserved a table. We say, No. He then tells us that we have to pay the cover because they charge starting at 7. Its 6:55. So we walk back to the front where he's explaining his imaginary rules to the young woman up front. I didn't want to argue, so we just left. I cannot fathom how people can rave about this place. I came for an event and the first encounter we had was some guy screaming at us that we didn't park in a parking spot. It sure looked like a parking spot. And was directly next to other cars parked in a similar parking spot. So, ok, not well marked at all but fine, we move... to a parking spot marked no different from the one we were told was not... I'm still confused... Once inside the indoor/outdoor layout is nice and has some potential. The party was run by providing guests with drink tickets. I was on board until I realized that every drink they have is brewed, distilled, or otherwise produced by them. All of it tastes like the poor decisions I made buying cheap booze in college. The beer all tasted mostly the same and not great. The girls that got wine returned it, and based on the strong but horrible tasting Jell-O shot, I decided drinking their distilled alcohol was a poor choice. Some of the boys drank a few frozen drinks; said it reminded them of jolly ranchers. Thankfully the night was saved when we decided that we would rather pay for our alcohol than drink this stuff. I am so upset with your venue and it's mismanagement and miscommunication. I spoke with Stephanie not one phone call- but THREE separate calls on Wednesday only to find out today when we showed up to Toddy Oaks she still gave us the wrong information. I called Wed to confirm you would be open to the public and not closed for an event for Saturday 4/29. She called back about Friday- I had inquired about Saturday. Called back again to confirm Saturday was open to the public. Great. Notified our entire group. Called AGAIN to back track it was not in fact open to the public. I was already upset bc between our last conversations I notified all 12 of our group to confirm we'd be meeting at your establishment only to find out we could not. Last call she THEN confirmed we could come earlier in the day as planned as long as we left the venue before the 8pm concert. Great! I was happy as we planned to be there 4-6:30. Today we showed up at 4 only to find out the entire place was closed, not a single bar open, and the staff was both unfriendly, could not care less and was unapologetic and unhelpful. This establishment really needs to get it together. No guest should have to confirm SEVERAL times and still be given the wrong info. I myself looked incompetent scrambling to find somewhere else for all of us to go and communicate it at the last minute as our group was all arriving. I highly suggest better communication across the board with your staff so patrons do not have to go through what I went thru today. It was my birthday, I've been wanting to go here as a guest and it was completely botched due to your staff's incompetence. Summary- I so wanted these drinks to be good, but they were so bad. Drinks- 1 Star I got a Funky Monkey and hubby got a Arnold Palmer and they were just way too sweet and overpoweringly flavored with artificial flavors for us. Even with the extra shot each one was just a diabetes milkshake. An Arnold Palmer should absolutely not be anywhere near that sweet. I would rather they limited their menu and used real ingredients instead of what tasted like really awful mixes. I think part of this is because they are serving you such a huge drink. If it was really mixed properly they would have like 6 shots in them, which would make them prohibitively expensive and also pretty deadly (awesome). This venue has so much potential. First time visiting, tried the beers. First off, every IPA was indistinguishable from the other. Seriously, they tasted the exact same. That being said, they were not IPAs. Zero hop character, no bitterness, no malt character, and somewhat flavorless. The brown ale had potential but the tap lines were in dire need of thorough cleaning, definite off flavors from dirty lines. Best I can say is that they were decent homebrews. Didn't stay for food so can't comment on that. So sad, such a great venue but poor quality beer. So many choices close by along the Katy Freeway, nothing about this experience will draw me back. read more

We chose this venue for our wedding. It was absolutely beautiful with all the lights everywhere. The staff they have was amazing as well. Very helpful with everything. However... the owners are very inconsiderate. 3 days before our wedding day, they told us they hired a band to play that night during our reception. I had already gone through all the planning and creating a playlist to play for our reception and was excited for the music I picked. The band was free of charge and they kept telling us it was a gift. That is great but I would have appreciated being informed about this maybe a couple months ahead not 3 days before my wedding, and before I spent my time creating my playlist that I was excited to play for our guest. They did tell me the band would not interfere with my music and we could even get them to play some of our songs. They did play our first dance song and my father daughter song, but unfortunately, the speakers on our side were not working and the band was on the other side of the venue so our guest had a hard time hearing the music. We were unable to play my playlist due to the speakers on our side not working. This also effected the song I wanted played while walking down the isle. I was told that they usually ask the wedding party to bring their playlist to check connections and make sure everything is working. This did not happen. They kept insisting on the band and said it would be wonderful instead of checking on my playlist and making sure the speakers on our side worked. I contacted the owners to express my disappointment and reach a simple understanding. I did not expect anything back from them since I did enjoy their venue and their staff was outstanding. We did not reach an understanding. Instead she kept insisting that I was happy that night and had never expressed any disappointments. I did though.. My husband called them and expressed how important it was for us to have our music and was told several times the band would not interfere with it and we will be able to use our playlist. We couldn't. We were told they would set up a meeting with us and the band to give them our playlist and see what they could play off it. This did not happen. The bar tender working that night had herd my guest and I discussing our disappointment with the music and brought out a little Alexa speaker so we could try and play some of the music I wanted. Like I said, the staff was absolutely amazing and the venue is stunning, but it was a huge disappointment with our music and the way the owners handled that situation. It's a great place, but if you are planning an event here, be ready for an unexpected band to be at your party and for the owners to make the band their first priority. read more
