Local dive bar off of S. Mason in Katy. Thursday is steak night, $12 will get you a ribeye, loaded baked potato and salad. It's a pretty good deal. On the weekends they have a crawfish boil, you can purchase it by the pound or get all you can eat for around $25. This past weekend was Dukes Memorial crawfish boil with live music. Crazy packed but we still had a great time. Sundays they have bloody mary, draft beer and bucket specials. They also have a shuffle board tournament most Sundays. The bar is smoke free and has been recently remodeled. The staff is friendly and the drinks are reasonable. Great place to go and have a drink.

    Pretty bartender making drinks.

Dukes is an icon on Mason road...correction...in Katy, Texas. What I love about Dukes is that it was always kinda "honky tonk" which later became "Dive Bar." This is the joint your folks may have gone to on a Saturday night while you were home with a babysitter. Ahh...but things have changed. In recent months Dukes has had a make over Mr Taffer would be proud of. Frankly it was time. It's time for the next generation to appreciate this iconic bar. Everything has been updated from a new entrance to staff wearing Dukes tees. As mentioned this may have been your folks bar back in the day but it's your bar now. They cater to Sunday football, local sports, great crawfish (children welcome) and are now NO SMOKING! This is huge for not on Dukes but for Mason Rd and the growing nonsmoking crowd. Looking for a weekend night out? Give the New Duke a try! You will be glad you did.

    This game is addicting!

Their happy hour is literally amazing. Bartenders are always friendly and outgoing, I usually seat outside in the patio since it's less crowded, so I have to make sure I order from the bar then it goes smoothly. Bars usually give me anxiety but being here doesn't give me bad vibes at all even with the darkness of this place manages to be able to have great energy. I can say this is my fav bar around the Katy area Edit: I forgot my card at home to pay for the tab and they accept Apple Pay. This is the best

The bartender asked me what did I want to drink then I said Crown Royal and she asked me, What's that?

It's Friday night and where is everyone? Hmmmm. Maybe hangout in another tavern. The oddest thing just happened, I ask the bartender do you have Crown Royal? Her response was, "what's that?" Hmmmm, no wonder it wasn't crowded here on a Friday night. Go figure...

Good friendly bar - shabby exterior belies the standard interior - give it a try- you'll enjoy.

Just simply a hole in the wall no good bar. Only stop in if you need a quick beer or shot and then leave asap.

You can come casual & still have elevated cocktails in an adult lounge atmosphere. I am not a beer drinker so I come to seat in the lounge. The cocktails are well balanced & enjoyable. I love that you can order their more creative drinks or stick to the classics. They do both drink types well! I tried the food this time. The chicken sliders & the hamburger sliders were both very tasty. I would absolutely get them again. This is a really great place to stop by when you want a grown atmosphere in a casual setting or if you want a great cocktail when you are with the family. You must be 21 to sit in the lounge but you can order a cocktail & take it to the outdoor seating which is very family friendly. It's so wonderful to have this place in southwest Houston (Katy). I'm declaring myself a regular!

However, the over 21 Cocktail Lounge adjacent to the energetic beer hall was made for me and my style of chill. The bartenders are serious about their craft and have lots of personality. Great drinks and great vibe are very hard to beat. Food here is more than a just bar food, it's actually good. The menu will never be the main driver of coming back but it hits the spot so still come hungry. The lounge is smaller and darker lighting than the beer hall but still very spacious. The music is loud enough to enjoy but doesn't interfere with a table conversation. I'll continue to pass up many bars to get here in the future.

They acted giddy and happy to help us put everything together, reassuring us that they would be there to support us on our big day. That all changed the moment they got paid. On the day of the event, we only saw the owners twice, and neither time was to help us. When I walked up to the owner to thank him for having us, his response was completely unprofessional: "Are you kidding? This is for you, you paid for it." The only other time he approached us was to aggressively complain about someone taking up two parking spots--and it wasn't even one of our guests. They also explicitly promised they would check on us throughout the event to see if we needed refills on water or drinks. They completely ghosted. We never saw them, and our guests were left without service. It has been three weeks since the event, and we haven't received a single follow-up call or text to ask how things went. They got their money and completely checked out. Nice place, but terrible owners and even worse service. Never again will we book with them. Save your money and go somewhere where the staff actually cares about your business.

Every single dish was spot-on and the portions were quite generous. If I had to pick, the Japchae, Jajang Myeon, and Spicy Seafood Jjampong Soup were especially memorable. A thick noodle is used for the Japchae which held on to the flavor really well and provided more of a bite. The Jajang Myeon and Soup were absolutely bursting with flavor - bold, rich, and truly satisfying. They perfectly captured the essence of what these dishes should taste like: delivering a home-cooked taste at restaurant quality. As typical of Korean restaurant, every meal comes with an assortment of banchan. The kimchi was perfection and it seems like there are unlimited refills for the banchan. Let's not forget that this is a Pocha! There are lots of drink options and they are open late. This also makes for a great place for large groups and seating ranges from open tables or private booths for those looking for something more private. There is an open stage where I suppose open-mic karaoke used to take place, but as of 01/2025 management has put up signs stating it's currently not in use due to noise complaints from the neighbors. Still, there are plenty of private karaoke rooms to be put to use. This place is a hidden gem - it seems like a well-kept secret tucked away in this little neighborhood. I really hope the place gets more traffic in the future. They really deserve it! Overall really great place to come chill at with friends they've got the food, drinks, and karaoke covered.
