Came here on a Saturday with some friends, as we're touring Texas of BBQ and Crawfish. This was a Crawfish weekend for us, and has been on my list for quite some time. The reviews are really great for this place, so I had high hopes. Getting here was quite easy, parking was a bit full by the time we arrived, but we manged to all find spaces. You walk up to the trailer and place your order. They had a special going 5 lbs for $40, which I think was a pretty good deal. Comes with corn and potato, we opted for all corn, and then I added a sausage. You walk over to the tent, hand them your order card, and they hand it over to you. All the crawfish is seasoned in one flavor, and then you can just dipping options. We went with the garlic butter, and then tried the cajun mayo dip as well. The seating is great, they have covered and uncovered, and then an inside space. We went with a covered outdoor table, bc they were covered by trees, and it was a nice day out. We opened up our boxes, camera ate first, and then we dug in. The seasoning on the crawfish was perfect for me. Some would've liked it a bit more spicy, so if you like spicy, bring some hot sauce or a little ziplock with your fave spicy seafood seasoning. The sausage was really good too, had a nice snap to it. One of my friends said it had cheese in it, which I didn't notice until my last bite, when I got a biteful of melty cheese. That was a new one for me. Albeit a nice surpise, just wasn't expecting it, as I hadnt had that at a seafood boil before, more so of a bbq type of thing. There's also an area you can order drinks, sodas, and waters, and lots of big bins to throw your plates away. There's a bathroom on the inside, so if you need to go, or just wanna wash your hands. I hadn't been out to this area before too, so I wonder if they do live music. It was a great day to be outside, enjoy the weather and some crawfish. I'll be back fasho! read more

Made it here just in the nick of time before crawfish season was over. A current obsession of my friends and I is crawfish and we've been trying to try all the hot spots during the season. This place came highly recommended online so we made the drive all the way out to Tomball on a Sunday afternoon. Their hours vary so make sure and check the times before heading over. On this day they opened at 11. We came around noon and the place was popping. I don't know how to explain the general area. I feel like it's a few businesses on one plot of land. There's buildings and trailers to your left and right and not sure if they are all one entity. Han's is located at the back of the property in a little red trailer. You order at the trailer and then take your ticket to the side of the trailer where you hand over your ticket and get your food. There was very minimal staff interaction but they were friendly enough. The menu is very cut and dry. Crawfish and/or shrimp with minimal add ons and dipping sauces. It comes in one flavor basically which is a good ole Louisiana Cajun flavor. If you're a big fan of Viet Cajun style, this is not that. It almost looks unseasoned, but trust me, there is still flavor permeating throughout. Current prices are on a lower side compared to other popular spots. There is a minimum 2 pound limit and specials on 5 pounds. Shrimp is sold in 1/2 pound increments. Crawfish come with one corn and one potato. I got the minimum, plus 1/2 pound of headless, easy peel shrimp and added a sausage. Once you order, you walk a few feet to a team of people whom will put your order together. So basically there isn't a wait. If you want a drink, there are options at an outside bar and an inside barn bar. Seating is mostly outside with inside seating in the barn. Outside seating is mostly shaded and a perfect spot to set up shop when eating mud bugs. The crawfish was warm, but I like mine fresh out and steaming. So they are making big batches and plating is what I'm thinking. I liked the flavors alot. It had a light kick to it as is. I purchased a dry seasoning as well as garlic butter and combined it to make a delicious dipping sauce. To me, one of my favorite things was the sausage. I judge a place by that. The one offered here was delicious and had a nice cheesy, spicy bite to it. Han's is a long way from home but the drive here was worth it. I will definitely be making this a regular in my rotation during crawfish season. read more

COME HERE!! I'm a crawfish snob and have tried all of the popular TikTok spots around Houston. This is hands down, by far, the best crawfish I've had. It's cleaned well, large and the taste is perfection. This place will be worth the drive everytime. It's in a food truck park, so finding a seat can be hard after 12 and the line can be long. Ahhhhh Hans. Where do I start? Do I review the food first? Or Mr. Hans himself? The gross part. I have their shirts. One is so stained...I wear it every time I go there. Not a joke. The ladies at the kiosk are so sweet and welcoming. Hans himself is awesome. A Louisiana boy by trade, and he is the real deal, and a crawfish master. Just don't shake his hand. That's like getting your hand caught in a clamp...strapped inside a vice...dudes got a grip!!! The bugs themselves are always perfect. Just the right level of spice, cooked to perfection, and always with corn and a tater. Definitely recommend the peel & eat skrimps, the sausage, and my favorite. MUSHROOMS!!! They soak up ALL the juice like the little sponges they are. Gotta go with the Coon-Ass sauce always. Love the Frio location and some days if you stay late enough and Hans is sold out, just hang out, drink beer, listen to some live music. So. TL;DR time. Han himself is awesome (Love the hat!!! Hans' Crawfish is exactly the kind of place you go when crawfish season hits and you're ready to get a little messy. The crawfish were fresh, well-seasoned, and had just the right amount of kick. The corn and potatoes soaked up all that spicy goodness too, which is always a win. It's casual, lively, and the kind of spot where everyone at the table ends up with seasoning on their hands (and probably their shirt). The only reason it's four stars instead of five is that it can get pretty busy during peak crawfish season, so patience may be required. Still, if you're in the mood for a solid Houston-style crawfish feast, Hans' definitely delivers. read more

When I hear, "Let's go get crawfish Hans" my response will always be 'say less!' My first time having Hans and it did not disappoint. Although I am usually used to the Asian Cajun crawfish, Hans' Crawfish was just as good. Its not your typical drenched in garlic butter with all the spices and seasoning. It was simple Louisiana style boiled crawfish. I have been hearing great things about Hans' Crawfish and so glad my girlfriend dragged me out on a Friday evening to try them. They are now located at Frio's Grill in the back. You ordered from the food trailer, go to the table next to the trailer to pick up your order, then pick any outside table to enjoy. Their hour of operation is not every day. Thursday - Friday 5p - 9p & Saturday - Sunday 11a - 8/9p. I've been eating Han's crawfish since their first location in Cypress and have been completely spoiled ever since that first time. Every batch of crawfish I eat is compared to Han's. Opening Weekend @ Han's is a holiday in my family. The season doesn't start for us until they start selling! There's a depth of flavor to to the crawfish, it's not just spicy, it's not just garlic, it's not just a hint of citrus, it's that something that you can't put your finger on but it permeates the crawfish. I hesitate to say every bug is juicy, and perfect (I have had batches like that though) because crawfish are like that but it's 1 out of 10. That's a much better rate than most other places. I have yet to find crawfish that beats on flavor, quality, and consistency and I doubt I ever will. May the great Crawfish Boil in the Sky continue to bless Han's Crawfish. read more

Hans is so amazing! This is located in cypress now but as soon as I heard they opened back up I had to drive from Austin to get some. Hans will forever be my favorite crawfish place. Outstanding crawfish. Good size, good taste. Perfect amount of heat - doesn't hit hard up front but builds so by the time you're about 1.5-2 pounds in you know it's there. Boiled shrimp peel super easily, a great addition. Did not expect the sausage link to have cheese in it, this was a nice surprise. I started with a bite of the mushrooms-my first response was, oh gesh- way too spicy, I like spice but if my mouth is burning while I eat, & the fire overpowers the taste of the meat, I don't like it. But as I ate the crawfish, it was milder and very palatable. If you like mushrooms and very spicy mushrooms-eat a mushroom then a few crawfish, the spice radiates! I have been a loyal customer for years and never expected this sort of behavior from him. I see that other women have had similar experiences with him on here so I hope that the inappropriate behavior ends with this review. Also, the crawfish has gotten worse over time. Great level of spice. Mixed with all sizes. Good flavor and tails come out as they should. Would definitely eat again. They were serving at a HAA event at The Barn. Would highly recommend. First time trying Han's Crawfish. They were a decent size considering last week I went somewhere else and they were tiny and cost more. We ordered 20 lbs of crawfish and 4 lbs of shrimp. Shrimp was big and both had a good spice to it. It was simple Louisiana cajun flavor, not like the viet-Cajun style that you see most places serve. Han's use to be located at a different location but they are now located at the Barn next to the Frío Grill which I like because not everybody eats crawfish and the Frío Grill has some delicious food options. These crawfish are sized just right! We came here for the first time tonight by recommendation and we were not disappointed. We did order to go because we like to eat in our backyard. We brought out cooler and didn't even have to use it because they packed them up for us in a disposable one. The price per pound is the lowest we have seen all season for this quality. Talk about consistency! A little bummed that they move locations as the previous location was right around the corner from my house, but definitely worth the drive. This is probably by far one of the best places in the Houston area for crawfish. Lots of open space to sit, BYOB option and occasional live entertainment makes this place one of those spots where you can definitely spend 1/2 day at (with the right crowd, of course) Service is always friendly and visible staff constantly cleaning up and emptying trash cans is also a big plus. Lines can get a bit long BUT grab a rolling cooler and stand in line with a Buddy, it makes the time fly by faster. Here's the thing.. it's not that you have a lot of people in front of you its that every single one of those people have 1000 questions each before ordering lol. Crawfish is sold by the pound. Supposed to be THE best mudbugs in the Houston area, and deservedly so. This place, when they are actually open, is where crawfish hope they will go to die. Every inch of this place is crawfish eating heaven. Sure there are potatoes and corn cobs and even shrimp to consume, but crawfish is king here. Tasty little mudbugs are covered in a spicy, messy seasoning and served with a few different kinds of sauces are the star of this little Tomball roadside eatery. We arrived right when they opened at five on a Thursday. They had been closed earlier in the week, perhaps due to the imminent end of the crawfish season so we thought it was going to be packed, and it was as folks got off work and began showing up with families and soft side coolers to fill up and take home. Service at the counter was fast and the people were very welcoming to us out of town visitors who weren't regulars there. Crawfish are sold at a 2 pound minimum, and it comes with sauce, corn, and potatoes. Shrimp are sold at a 1 pound minimum and also comes with the same as the crawfish. Extra sauce is extra cash, but not very much. We bought all that for just two of us for about $40. The fact that we ate all of it could be a source of pride or embarrassment depending on which of us is telling the story. But it was tasty, and messy, and somehow all disappeared into our bellies. There are dozens of picnic tables outside, some tucked in a pole barn with open sides, some in the sunshine, some under umbrellas in a courtyard with string lights. There are bathrooms, but if you just want to wash the mudbug off your hands there are outdoor sinks with soap (I didn't see a Myers brand out there as someone else claimed) and paper towels. Whether you are visiting, or local, this is the place to go for nicely seasoned crawfish and lots of mudbug fan camaraderie. Enjoy! read more

I've been really into vietcajun crawfish lately but sometimes I just like crawfish the old school way. No sauce or anything, just super flavorful from the boil. I'd say this place is one of the best at it. Super flavorful and juicy, you don't really need to dip it in anything if you don't want too. Really easy to peel. Being that we are in the times on "social distancing" they have this cool drive in and a small round about and request your order and within 60 seconds your crawfish is bagged up and ready. The Answer is YES ! A huge yes ! Hans' Crawfish is the place to attend during crawfish season. Let me tell you why. Amazing a/c bathrooms with Myers's soap! Yes that means us ladies don't leave smelling like crawfish. On top of that plenty of tables for big familys! And lots of room for children to run around and get their energy out! They do sell sodas and waters but other than that it is BYOB. How cool? Oh yea and the crawfish them self are worth it.
