    Shrimp etouffe' $15
    Mike M.

Cajun Street is a Tomball restaurant that's easy to find and plenty of parking is available. Inside it's a counter service eatery that serves both Cajun and BBQ food items. Recently I have dined twice and here are my experiences. My first visit was to order the 3 fish and 3 shrimp meal that also comes with fries and hushpuppies for $16. After getting my drink at the self serve station my meal arrived about 10 minutes later. The fish filets were thick and well battered and along with the 3 big shrimp tasted very good. Their fried seafood here is worth the visit. Along with the fries and dense and flavorful hush puppies, it was a satisfying and filling meal. The next visit was for the shrimp etouffe' meal for $15 and this meal took about 10 to arrive. It was a large bowl with 8 large shrimp surrounding a portion of white rice with a milk chocolate brown thick roux. I didn't care for the appearance but the food was very good taste wise. The grilled shrimp and roux were delicious and I would order this again. During this meal an employee informed me that they actually sell more bbq here than Cajun. That surprised me since it appeared to be a much more Cajun oriented restaurant. She brought me a complimentary sample to try of sausage, brisket and a rib. I liked all 3 and may order some bbq in a future visit. However I really like the Cajun food here. Hospitality is also very good here with friendly employees. I will come back.

Came here on memorial Day to get some good sea food. We had heard great things and were super excited to try it. They were not busy at all, which I think was just due to the holiday. Everything we ordered came out fast and super hot. We got catfish, red beans and rice, gumbo, dirty rice, and fried shrimp. Overall-every was good, but my absolute favorite was the fried shrimp. I will definitely come back and order that again. The prices are really reasonable for seafood and we enjoyed everything!

My goodness. 5 star. Everything!!!! Food amazing. We got it ubered but it was still amazing. I got the fish and shrimp plates, boudin balls, so so so good. I'll be back. They even have bread pudding, OMG!

Ok I'm giving it 5 stars because the food was good. But, I think it would be better with homemade sauces. The ranch and tartar needed help. When you have great fish and chicken and dip it into subpar sauce, it really takes away from the bite. The atmosphere was great, lots of tables and inviting. Cashier was really accommodating and she served the food and sauces. She might need an assistant!! Menus are already posted but I'll add the BBQ menu. Chicken and fish were good. Potato salad was different but really good. Please consider making your own ranch and tartar.

Wanted to try a local place and fish sounded good tonight. It was close to my hotel so very convenient. I ordered the 3/3 platter which consisted of three fried fish and three fried shrimp. It normally comes with fries, but I substituted mac & cheese for a dollar more. The total was $15. The store was roomy and plenty of places to sit. I ate a little later about seven so only a couple people were in eating. You order at the counter and have a seat. They also serve barbecue as well as other Cajun dishes.

This was my first time eating here and it was delicious! Great customer service, made us feel like family. I recommend the Cajun Candy flavored wings. My only regret is not ordering more wings!

I've tried several and all barbecue spots are great but none are as good as Tejas. Tejas opened in 2015 and has received several awards since and in 2025 became recognized by MICHELIN. This did not surprise me and it made sense why none could ever top them. They have wonderful customer service, the feel is very cabin like, family style food, and clean inside and outside. I have stopped by several times over the years and haven't given them a proper review and it was about time. Their brisket is exceptional. What I immediately appreciated about Tejas is how they are unique with their sides. Sides are important. Most barbecue spots across the board have the same sides but each make them a bit different. Tejas offers a unique side, that no one has or any restaurant in general, their Carrot soufflé, it is addicting. I usually order another to go. Their chille relleno sausage is phenomenal. Must try My go to order 10/10 : Brisket sandwich (no sauce needed) Chile relleno sausage tacos Carrot soufflé side Chips & queso

Went back about two weeks ago on a whim and I've already been back twice since. The BBQ is legitimately exceptional now. The burnt ends are amazing--tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. The cheesesteak is awesome, the turkey is surprisingly moist and tasty, and the overall quality is way higher than I remembered. A couple small notes: the poblano sausage was a bit too cheesy for my taste, and the mac and cheese has crushed tortilla chips on top that feel unnecessary (though the base is still solid). Must-orders: Get the chicharrones and queso and ask for a side of Tajín to sprinkle on top--it takes it to another level. The jalapeños at the condiment station are pure fire and delicious. They also have a full bar, so chilling with a cold beer and some top-notch BBQ is the move. The chocolate truffles at the counter are fantastic--you really can't go wrong with any of them. They also have specials if you order four or more items, which is a nice touch. Plenty of seating inside or outside, and there's ample parking right across the street. If you haven't been in a while (or ever), do yourself a favor and give them another shot. I'm glad I did. Solid 4 stars.

Walked in Sunday 5:30pm place was empty I was a little shocked and while there eating only 3-4 more customers came in. 1 couple and 1 guy had a to go order and 1 more couple walked in while I was leaving. I ordered the sliced beef sandwich $13.95 and I got 2 sides, veggies (broccoli and carrots) and Mac & cheese and a drink total was $23.85 BBQ has gotten costly since 2021 and hasn't come down. I still get sticker shock! Yes I could have ordered just the sandwich and it would have been enough as they did not skimp on amount of brisket (see pic) and it was on a fresh and large bun...the brisket was really tender and juicy and tasted good. I was impressed. I added onions and pickle and they had a fresh Serrano pepper on the condiment station... Over all the place has the typical BBQ decor and some stuffed animals and other decor on the walls. Staff were welcoming and friendly and answered my questions. The condiment station was half full on items and appeared in need of restocking as it looked like they hadn't restocked or cleaned since lunch rush. But there was plenty of onions and pickles so no big deal but they don't close until 9pm so you would think they would clean and stock/prep for the 5-9 rush but maybe they are slow on Sunday after 5pm so they don't restock that late in the day. Plenty of parking and tables and seats and separate room so you can find a seat you prefer. Place was over all clean and I did wash my hands and the bathroom seemed pretty clean except for trash can was full and in need of emptying. Over all good experience and I will return next time I am in Tomball.

It reminded me a lot of Rudy's, cafeteria style line, pick your meats, grab your sides, sit down and eat. Unfortunately, we probably should have kept driving. I take barbecue seriously. I smoke at home and I know good smoked meat. The brisket was dry. Not just lean, but dry. The ribs were okay, but ribs are hard to completely mess up. The chicken looked a little undercooked, which is never a good sign. The potato salad tasted like something you grab from a grocery store deli case. The mac and cheese was very basic. The spinach was good, but let's be honest, it is not that hard to make decent spinach. The pecan pie was probably the best thing we had. Their barbecue sauce was very runny and did not really add anything special. If I am being honest, the toppings bar with onions, pickles, and extras was the highlight. My wife pretty much filled up on pickles. I could keep going, but I will just say this. If you really appreciate good barbecue, this may not be your spot. If you just want something quick and do not care too much about depth of flavor, it might work for you. For us, it was a no. Sorry, but no bueno.

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff has always been friendly and attentive. You'll see a mix of regulars, families, and people who clearly know they're about to get a good meal. All that being said, it took close to 40 minutes for the burger and I had to go ask them to check on my order. The two families who ordered ahead of me got their food in a reasonable time. Maybe they didn't order burgers? I was thinking it would be coming out piping hot because they were behind on orders but it was room temperature. Overall it was an okay burger. The etouffee they put on the burger was the best part. It only came with a small handful of fries. 2 stars for an okay burger that left me feeling hungry for $20+.
