Came here with the family and will say the food is pretty good. My brother got all you can eat catfish and the catfish was crunchy and delicious. I wish it was a little bit thinner and not as thick. I will say my gumbo was delicious. I actually enjoyed it. I only got a cup to taste it and I should've got a bowl. I did get the turkey leg that was stuffed and I will say that thing is massive and delicious. The turkey meat falls right off the bone in that means it was made correctly. Everything else that we got was good no complaints. The staff was super nice which is rare and they're constantly cleaning up so it's always a clean restroom and restaurant. The funny part is the light in the bathroom will turn off on you while you're in there after just a few seconds so don't get scared. It was actually more funny than anything. Just waive your hand it's motion censored.

This is an unexpected find. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The inside was clean and open. We had the Gumbo bowl . It was good but a little on the salty side. On the other hand. I ate the whole bowl. Shrimp Po Boy sandwich; the shrimp was fresh, cooked well and tasty. The sandwich needed a bit more quantity in the condiments. Next time I will try the recommended etoufee. Overall I am giving this a 4 star due to the slight miss on the sandwich and the gumbo. I will try it again and hopefully raise my rating.

Cajun Street is a Tomball restaurant that's easy to find and plenty of parking is available. Inside it's a counter service eatery that serves both Cajun and BBQ food items. Recently I have dined twice and here are my experiences. My first visit was to order the 3 fish and 3 shrimp meal that also comes with fries and hushpuppies for $16. After getting my drink at the self serve station my meal arrived about 10 minutes later. The fish filets were thick and well battered and along with the 3 big shrimp tasted very good. Their fried seafood here is worth the visit. Along with the fries and dense and flavorful hush puppies, it was a satisfying and filling meal. The next visit was for the shrimp etouffe' meal for $15 and this meal took about 10 to arrive. It was a large bowl with 8 large shrimp surrounding a portion of white rice with a milk chocolate brown thick roux. I didn't care for the appearance but the food was very good taste wise. The grilled shrimp and roux were delicious and I would order this again. During this meal an employee informed me that they actually sell more bbq here than Cajun. That surprised me since it appeared to be a much more Cajun oriented restaurant. She brought me a complimentary sample to try of sausage, brisket and a rib. I liked all 3 and may order some bbq in a future visit. However I really like the Cajun food here. Hospitality is also very good here with friendly employees. I will come back.

Came here on memorial Day to get some good sea food. We had heard great things and were super excited to try it. They were not busy at all, which I think was just due to the holiday. Everything we ordered came out fast and super hot. We got catfish, red beans and rice, gumbo, dirty rice, and fried shrimp. Overall-every was good, but my absolute favorite was the fried shrimp. I will definitely come back and order that again. The prices are really reasonable for seafood and we enjoyed everything!

Ok I'm giving it 5 stars because the food was good. But, I think it would be better with homemade sauces. The ranch and tartar needed help. When you have great fish and chicken and dip it into subpar sauce, it really takes away from the bite. The atmosphere was great, lots of tables and inviting. Cashier was really accommodating and she served the food and sauces. She might need an assistant!! Menus are already posted but I'll add the BBQ menu. Chicken and fish were good. Potato salad was different but really good. Please consider making your own ranch and tartar.

They have some delicious desserts and I vaguely remember them from the few times I tried them, but I try to eat both halves of the sandwich and that's it, can't eat another bite. The service is always great, the people are well trained and are pleasant to deal with. Ambiance, what ambiance? It's a great place to go get your sandwich and we take it home to eat and watch TV. The one time we ate there, it took away from the glorious experience of eating that mouth watering goodness. There were other distracting people around us and keeping me from concentrating on my sandwich!

For a place that has been voted the #1 restaurant in America before, it was a lovely experience! This location is a little over 30 mins away from me, which is beyond the distance I'm willing to drive for a meal in the middle of the week, but as it was my birthday week I decided to treat myself. And I am so glad that I did. I can say that everything about the experience eating here was pleasant. For one the fact that I arrived here after 7pm and they close at 8pm, yet there was a steady influx of customers speaks to just how popular they are. There was one person in line behind me and I felt bad for them a little because I knew I was going to ask a bunch of questions because I've been looking forward to coming here and it is out the way so I was going to ask the right questions to make sure I got something I liked. With that being said, the man taking my order was very helpful and patient. I know I took at least 5 mins to order yet he was cool answering all of the questions I had. I generally hate when the kiosk asks if I'd like to tip when I'm not dealing with a waiter but the service he provided paired with the amount of questions I had led me to leave a tip. Again I had to drive a distance to eat here so I went in knowing that I was going to be ordering food to eat there as well as being able to bring some home, because there is no telling when the next time will be that I want to make the trek. To keep things balanced, I ordered a cold and a hot sandwich. I went with a build your own for the cold sandwich and went with turkey and roast beef for meats, deli provolone for cheese, spring lettuce, roasted red peppers, red onion, olive smear and house marinated pepper blend for toppings, sub oil, spicy deli mustard and basil pesto (on the side) for extras, all on a crusty Italian roll for the bread. For the hot sandwich I went with the chicken parm and added light red onions to it. I also made my first sandwich a combo with chips and a drink. They serve Pepsi products for the fountain drinks and Zapp's products for the chips. One pet peeve I do have with places is that when I order an additional meat and don't feel like I got extra but instead just less of my other meat to make up for my extra. That is how I feel about the pastrami that I had added to my cold sandwich. Both sandwiches were really good. I wouldn't say that they were the best sandwiches I've ever had but they were solid. The cold sandwich was my creation so take that as you will. The flavors on it was all good, but nothing shooting over the moon to me. All of the food on the sandwich looked and tasted fresh. The hot sandwich is one of theirs with a slight add from me and it again was good but the flavor didn't just jump out for me. Making a chicken parm exceptional takes some work so I'm not mad at what they serve and it is cooked and served with an excellent broil on it. The bread on both sandwiches I will say was a stand out because it held up and had a good crust and chew while still being soft. I will say that I wasn't able to try many of their menu favorites because I don't eat pork, so some of those may be even more delicious. No complaints on any of the flavor but wouldn't have been made at a few more unctuous notes to the palate. I also got the cannoli which was cool. Nothing significant but I'm not mad that I got it. I would also like to note that the bathroom is kept very nice and smells well. I'm 90% sure that someone was blowing up the toilet before I went in yet it didn't stink when I went in. Not sure if they just sprayed a lot or the upkeep but either way kudos. I generally would've gotten food like this to go, but given the distance and that I wanted to get as fresh of a food experience as I can I did dine in. Getting there at the end of the day I was there as they were closing up. As they closed up the staff kept a respectable distance from me as I ate as to not disturb my food with the cleaning. Now that I've eaten here I can honestly say that I get why it has so much hype. Though I wasn't wowed by the food I was wowed by the service and the food was delicious. I'm not sure of when I'll next make the trip here but I do know that I'll feel confident that it will be a meal well enjoyed when I do. Thought I posted this review lol so I'll add to it since I returned again. Again great service and delicious food. The food here is so good and the location is so out of the way that both times I've gone I've left with 2 sandwiches for myself. I again got a Chicken Parm in all of it's deliciousness but this time made my cold BYO sandwich into a hot one and OMG was it banging! This place serves up deliciousness with ease.

First off, the outside as well as inside of the establishment is beautiful! When you walk in, the restaurant is beautifully decorated; it's a cross between a fast-food establishment and a restaurant dining-style. I believe another Yelper also mentioned that fact as well. One can order in two options: using the self-kiosk, or going to the counter where there is someone there to take your order. Having both options available is rather convenient. For my food, I got the Famous Meal #1: Italian Beef Sandwich. However, I came prepared: it was going to be personalized to be the perfect meal. FIRST: make it big ($2), then add sweet and hot peppers ($1.98), mozz cheese ($.89), and ordered slightly wet. For my sides, I opted for the large onion rings ($4.99), and in addition --- this is A LOT -- I got the famous Chocolate Cake Shake (additional $6.19). If you were going to get a normal meal, it would probably cost you about $14.57. Mine -- with all the add-ons? $26.88. Take that into consideration. How was the food? Portillo's is definitely the experience many Chicagoans have heaped about. The "dipped" Italian Beef Sandwich was generously portioned, and if I had anything to comment-on --- it would be adding more sweet + hot peppers to the sandwich. Besides that, everything else was spot-on. On to that famous milk-shake: if you're a first-timer DO IT. How does it taste? It honestly tastes like a "real" version of a frosty from Wendy's --- taste wise. At least we know what's in this milkshake: Ice Cream, Milk, and a slice of chocolate cake. It was thick, creamy, and hit the spot. All-in-all, I totally recommend Portillo's if there is a location near you! It's definitely an American institution and is worthy of the hype.

I ordered the double patty burger adding a 1/2 order of fries and a small chili too. By the way this is a table service restaurant. The burger was tasty and I enjoyed it. Also the french fries are homemade and taste like it. Why can't more restaurants have fries like these rather than the frozen out of the bag kind? The 1/2 order size is large enough for 2 people to share. Finally their chili here is legit. Yummy! There is no doubt that this is a quality burger and fries eatery. Add in the chili and you will be happy when you dine here. My only negative is the price. No combos here so you pay list price for each item. With my double burger, 1/2 order of fries, small chili, drink, tax and tip my lunch was about $30. Yikes!
