Had visited the proximate breakfast restaurant previously, but first time at the Grill, for dinner with the missus. What an elevated experience it was! Great value for money and elevated even further due to superb service by Reese. What a delightful young person - she will go far in life and we wish her the best! She truly made the visit memorable. Menu was extensive, ordered a Flight of beers, exquisitely made Frozen Sangria, Harvest Salad (half), Dixie Chicken with Seasoned Fries, and Cajun Brownie (wow, sinfully delicious and different). OMG! The food was out of this world, portions were generous, and to top it all off, the tab was very reasonable. $42 with taxes and Reese got a great tip for her excellent service! Craft Grill is definitely a must-stop if you're in the area. I've been here a few times now, and every visit has been consistently excellent, the service is attentive and the food always delivers. No complaints at all. This place easily stands out as a top-tier restaurant. I ordered the chicken fried chicken along with the Bama Balls, and both were outstanding, well-prepared, flavorful, and something I'd gladly order again. The ambiance really ties everything together. Our waiter was Ryan, and he was exceptional. His knowledge of the menu was impressive and so watched him positively interact with many customers. I ordered the Rebel burger: it was a great burger. 9/7/2025: Great restaurant with a large menu. There is truly something for everyone at Craft Grill. We sat at the bar and received a warm welcome from Isabella. She truly is a gem and she made our visit great. We looked over the large menu and dwindled it down to 3 items. My friend and I split the wedge salad to start. Isabella's shift was just about over, but she was super sweet to take our order. She even split our wedge salad and completed the order with our special requests and changes. The wedge was one of the best ones I have had in a long time. In addition to the regular wedge topping, bacon and grape tomatoes, they add capers, a balsamic drizzle, and a sliced hard boiled egg. It was delicious and the perfect size for splitting. We then ordered the Dixie Chick sandwich to split. This spicy fried chicken handheld comes with smoked gouda pimento cheese, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion. I had the onions removed from my half. You can order it mild upon request, but the "spicy" is truly not spicy. It was so flavorful and unique. The sandwich has two pieces of chicken breast, so it is quite large and suitable for sharing. We added the sweet potato fries as our side. They were crispy and fantastic. The restaurant itself has lots of seating, including booth options. The bar is large with TV screens about to watch sports and they also have small tables in the bar area for a more private feel. I highly recommend this restaurant. They have a breakfast restaurant owned by the same people. I will make the trip from Houston to try it for sure. If it's anything like what we experienced Sunday evening, I will be stoked! read more

Food never fails here. They have an extensive menu with lots of goodies. Several times I've came here and ordered something I haven't tried before. This time I came here with my family for lunch & we all enjoyed our entrees. Ambiance is a typical bar and grill type feel. Don't expect too much. Service is lacking sometimes. It's a hit or miss. Really depends on the server. This particular visit, she forgot to put in one of our appetizers so I ended up canceling it. Then come to find out, she just forgot in general to put in any of our appetizers so the alligator bites we ordered originally came with extra since they "felt bad." She moved slow and probably had a late night so another server was picking up her slack with how busy it was. The drinks are good though and I always get the margarita flight. It's totally worth it. The fish and chips are deliciously crunchy. Dessert is mediocre. read more

Once again another great experience at Craft! We came in at 6 on a Saturday evening and were seated right away. Our server, Reece, came over to get our drink order soon after. The rum punch we had was refreshing and the queso for our appetizer was great. We enjoyed the chopped avocado that they include. The Caeser salad had just the right mix of dressing added so it was flavorful with out being overpowering. I ordered the ribeye MR. It came out well done but they were quick to remedy the problem and brought out one cooked perfect and the seasoning was great. The waitress, manager and maybe the owner (?) came by to check on the steak afterwards. I was a server for years and understand that sometimes it's the way you handle the mishap. Great Service. Was met at the door with a smile and an upbeat attitude. The ambiance is nice. Low light, but not too dark. Our server was nice, and the manager came and greeted us (i think he was the manager). We ordered the Crab Cakes, the Gumbo, and the fried catfish with fries. I had a sweet tea. The crab cakes came with a "comeback sauce". That really carried the crab cakes. They fell apart easily. Without the sauce, they were just okay. The gumbo is made with a blonde roux. It didn't really give "gumbo". More like chicken and rice meal your mom made for you growing up (with cream of...). If you rate it off being a gumbo, it won't be that high. If you rate it off being chicken and rice adjacent--not bad. The catfish, in my fiancé's words, "tasted like outside". I think it needed more flavor. The batter was kinda loose off the fish. It was "eh". The hush puppies were hush puppies. Not sweet, if you like sweet hush puppies. The sweet tea wasn't sweet tea. More like sweetened ice tea. This review is not to bash the restaurant. We are (east) southerners, in town for a while, and wanted to try food in a place we've never been. It just wasn't for us. read more

Our first time here... First impression, not so good. I hate, hate, hate, it when restaurants water down their ranch dressing. WHY? Just WHY! To save pennies on the dollar is just stupid to compromise quality. Ranch dressing should NOT drip and/or pour like water!!! I totally respect the fact that some people might like watered down ranch dressing, I do not. Maybe consider serving them with a side of water with an extra bowl to water theirs down. but please serve me with a real (thick) ranch dressing. Almost everything else was really good. Alayna, our server was spot on. She took really good care of us. She was very engaging and we really enjoyed her service. Keep up the good work Alayna!!! Sara, the manager (with her arm in a sling) was very nice... but totally fake! She has no business being in food service. I say this only because we had an issue with the $7 crab cake that we ordered as an add on to the filet. The top of crab cake looked fine, but when you flipped it over, it was beyond blackened, it was burnt! Our server Alayna was very accommodating by promptly putting in an order for another one. You would think that the kitchen staff would be on point to make sure the second one was not burnt. No such luck. The second one was just as burnt. To add insult to injury we were later told by a different staff member that Sara saw that the second one was burnt and that Alayna called it out to Sara, but Sara said to send it out anyway!!! Are you f*ck!ng kidding me!!! Who does that. It's our first visit to this place, highly recommend by a friend. We drove in from cypress only to be intentional and knowingly served sub-par burnt food. It's incomprehensible how Sara would tell the staff to serve it when she knew it was bad!!! They say a picture is worth a thousand words... see attached pictures. Please do not think that I am torching Sara because of my interpretation of the ranch dressing, one has absolutely nothing to do with the other. The ranch dressing is a learned procedure taught by a cost conscience manager. I understand the practice but do not agree with it. On the other hand, Sara's decision was a personal choice to not give a $h!t about the quality of product that she serves nor does she care about her customers experience. I sent an email to Chris O'Donnell, a co-owner, explaining the situation and giving him an opportunity to respond prior to posting this review. Never heard from him. My friends and I arrived yesterday with their kids we have had dinner here before and had great customer service. and the food was great, unfortunately last night are waitress was a bit on the rude side, when one of the adults at the table ordered apple juice for her son the waitress very snappy said there is no apple juice. the waitress made it uncomfortable for any of us to ask a question on the menu or even want to ask for anything extra. Besides the waitress being just plain rude the food was not good the burgers were bland, chicken Cesar wrap the chicken was very hard, the food was bland almost made us sick upon leaving. We've been coming for years and never had much bad to say. It's been our favorite date night spot even with minor hiccups. We went early this week for our anniversary. It was fairly empty due to a weeknight. We were greeted quickly by the bartender. Unfortunately they were out of Guinness on draft, so my husband got bottled and it's just not the same. I had a wonderful margarita. Our appetizer was great and came out quick. I ordered a Blue moon and had to choke it down. It tasted like soap. My meal was nice, the Caesar wrap with cajun fries. My husband's wasn't. He had the fried fish and shrimp and to be honest the breading tasted awful. Much like lawn clippings. My 24 year old and his sister went there for dinner today. Food was as what expected.... Food was decent... But they both said the lady who served their table was just plain rude!! Didn't even care to look at them when asking what they wanted to order for drinks/food... came across as not wanting to be bothered! My kids are well-raised, very polite and easily pleased. Likely a 4 star restaurant BUT I had a 5 star experience here! Let's start with the beautiful bits- the menu. The menu is expansive, including options showcasing the beautiful cuisine and traditions from a variety of states and regions (mainly southern representation). *the fried green tomatoes with the Mississippi comeback sauce- yum. Perfectly fried and fresh, these offer a nice start to the meal. *connies queso- look it's not fancy, but if you're about that plastic cheese life this hits the spot (in the best way). The pico and avo make the difference, and I'm not exactly sure what it is, but this is an addictive little snack worth ordering. *the sliders (mainly the Texian burger) is bussin. Apart from the food highlights, our service was fantastic! Although I'm rarely crave this style of cuisine, I'm certainly keeping this stop in mind for when I do. read more

Wow this place really has gone downhill I would just trust the reviews that say that. After coming here several times and really enjoying the experience, we were shocked to be saying we most likely won't be back. Craft grill does offer a cool and cozy ambiance inside out if only they could be consistent with the service and food. First off we ordered 2 beers one of which was a Guinness. For anyone who doesn't know you're supposed to pour this particular beer a certain way so that it has layers otherwise the beer doesn't taste the same. This beer came to the table with over 2/3rds of head in the glass. Luckily someone switched it out. Next our appetizer you can go head and skip the fried alligator for $16 I would hope that it would come with more than 10 small little pieces that are mostly batter, not to mention really not good. Sadly Not in this case. Lastly the service was spotty the managers did step in and assist but I wouldn't recommend sitting in the bar. Before leaving we noticed we did not get happy hour pricing and had to have them fix that as well so it was another thing to add in to the already HORRIBLE Experience. We would maybe maybe give the breakfast place another try which we have been to before and liked it, but I doubt it. read more

Dinner with a friend as we're both passing through this part of the world. We were warmly greeted at the hostess stand but opted to sit at the bar where Maggie took care of us quite well. Beers and burgers for each of us. I chose the "Signature Burger" which I had high hopes for, especially after Maggie mentioned that it was her favorite. Topped with gouda pimento cheese, bourbon bacon jam plus lettuce/tomato/onion/pickle on a brioche bun. It was cooked the medium rare that I requested and it was both messy and delicious. I substituted the slaw for fries and I'd have to say, the slaw was a disappointment as it was wet and unflavorful. I did steal one of my friend's fries and it was good. Great selection of beers including locals and macros. The beers rotate as the one my friend had the other night was out and they had something different. I like variety and choices. While visiting my wife's brother in Tomball, he and his family usually go to Craft Grill every Friday evening for dinner, and they wanted to share this place with us. Being big craft beer fans, he knew we would enjoy Craft Grill. We started out at the bar with a couple of beers, I chose the excellent Pecan Pie Porter, and my wife favored the 1.21 Gigawatts Hazy. We moved to a table and ordered some Bama Balls, deep-fried bacon Mac 'n Cheese with jalapeno as well as Patti's Campechana, wild caught shrimp in a slightly spicy tomato salsa. Both choices were a great way to begin. Lots of flavor and did not disappoint! For dinner I went with the Rebel Burger, Swiss cheese, grilled onions & mushrooms, and Dr. Pepper sauce. My wife chose the Deep South Burger, cheddar, slow-smoked pulled pork, Mississippi come-back sauce and Cole Slaw. Both were great burgers with lots of flavor. The fries were done very well, and our service was absolutely fantastic! I have the feeling as we move into a nearby county, we will me coming here more often to try out other options we had eyed on the menu as Craft Grill was a fantastic place to enjoy with family and friends. read more

What a disappointment. Have been here several times for work lunches and it's always been pretty good, today however was a disaster on several levels. Fish was mushy and cold, fries were cold. Steak was dry and the fries were cold as well. Only thing edible was the queso. I'm o too it off when the lady manager with blond hair came by and asked how the food was I sent the plate back and didn't want anything else. Recently my family went to Craft Grill for dinner. During Beryl and the power outages we had gone to the breakfast club for the first time and had a great meal, so we wanted to also go to their dinner location. It was another great experience, and also it wasn't super expensive. I had the second best po boy (first best was at Elsie's plate and pie in Baton Rouge) - I got it with their Gouda grits (a must have if you go). Our kids were very happy with their lemonade, mac and cheese and chicken tenders. My husband got the redfish - which is snapper and crawfish, with grits and etouffe. We stopped in to get some food to go. When I walked in the Manager was berating and talking so disrespectfully to the hostess upfront. After looking at the menu and placing art to go order, we sat there and observed more interactions between the manager and the hostess, and also an actual DoorDash or Uber eats driver. Apparently one of the apps that you can order food from had items that were no longer available but the way the manager talked to this woman and his team member was just so disrespectful and rude. I asked the hostess if that's how he usually talk to her, and she said unfortunately yes. I finally got her food, one of the items which was a shrimp Poboy, and took it home to eat. The shrimp tasted so bad I couldn't tell if it was just not fresh or freezer burned. I tried some other of the shrimp in the sandwich and could not eat any of them. I was so tired we didn't even bother bringing it back and instead I ended up eating a sandwich with sauce and tomato and lettuce. Even with that it had a weird aftertaste. My kiddo didn't like the way her food tasted either, but at least enjoyed the dessert. Also pretty frustrated with the packing of the food. We didn't have any utensils and the ice cream was open, which is kind of messy to clean up. We were pretty surprised at our experience given the reviews online. Stop by if you are in the area. Tried this place after church with our friends and family and it was for sure a hit and a place we will come back. The menu is huge so they have something for everybody. Our waiter was awesome and made us feel right at home with a welcome and a smile. Everyone one at our table order something a little different so we could try different things. I will say I got the redfish and it was phenomenal. Cooked perfectly and paired with a red sauce that could go on anything. The pastas are good as well. In my opinion not a bad thing on the menu. It's a relaxed environment and has a good balance.
