Craft Grill has an excellent vibe with good music and a variety of food! The servers were phenomenal and super friendly. I can definitely tell they enjoy working there. My family and I are healthy eaters; so, whenever we reviewed the menu prior to dining in, we were a bit suspicious. There were many fried dishes; although we are not big on fried, greasy, or rich, we still chose to give it a shot. Our server (Ryan) was outstanding. He himself minored in nutrition so he helped explore the menu and what dishes will satisfy our hearts and tummies, as well. For health nuts like myself, here is what we ordered: 1. Appetizer - Avocado toast It's not the typical avocado toast you will find. The plate is organized kind of like a star - in the middle, they placed corn, black beans, salsa with gonjito cheese on top; then, for the pointers around the middle, they slather butter and avocado on little rectangular pieces of toast. Now, as a nutrition major, I found the toast a bit *too* buttery but the center mix was DEFINITELY deemed delicious. We did take out the mayo; and, personally, I do not think it was even needed - the plate would be of been too rich and overwhelming for the tastebuds. 2. Plates - A) My mom got the gumbo. It was SPECTACULAR. Not too creamy, not too watery. And the spice hit the spot. B) I got the seafood dish: mahi mahi topped with papaya, grilled pineapple, and mango with a side of steamed spinach. Honestly, the fish was cooked perfectly - with a bit of crunch at the ends; however, the plate itself had a bit too much of oil residue. The fruit was a good addition. I always enjoy adding little sweetness to a savory dish; they placed too much oil on the grilled fruit which kind of took away from the star food - the fish. The grilled pineapple was very unique though - I want to replicate it myself now! Lastly, the spinach was too salty and a bit overdosed with oil; however, as a spinach fan, I still enjoyed. I came from working out so I craved a plate full of veggies and protein! All-in-all, despite the oiliness and salt, I am still looking to come back - their drinks look very good (have you heard of a hibiscus margarita?!). I've had Mac n Cheese balls from other places but they were always dry! These were completely different, flavorful and cheesy! Nashville Wings had a light, fluffy crust that melted in your mouth! Oh so good! For our main courses we had Catfish, Crawfish Redfish, Caesar Salad, and Nuts & Berries Salad. My Crawfish Redfish was the BOMB.COM! FLAVA should be it's first name!!!! The service was top notch. Our server and manager were very attentive. The brunch many has so many great looking choices. The brisket skillet was absolutely delicious, it was the perfect blend of egg, meat, potatoes, cheese, and sauce. I even had a little bit of potatoes left over that I plan to add to breakfast tomorrow morning. The kids split a chocolate chip pancake breakfast and just added an extra egg and a side of bacon. It was perfect for them. They also have tasty mimosas that go well with brunch. I tried the raspberry hibiscus mimosa and enjoyed it. I ordered Chicken Fried Steak fingers to go online. I was so disappointed when it looked like 1/2 of the steak fingers were missing, and there was no gravy. I went back online to see if it includes gravy (I mean, after all, this is Texas!) and the choices were "gravy on the side" or "extra gravy." I would assume gravy comes with it/on it. Service was great but my goodness the food had zero to little flavor. We had 4 orders of burgers, which here all bland and one order of pasta with shrimp. Pasta also bland and shrimp over seasoned. Great neighborhood spot for lunch or dinner. We also love the Breakfast Club. Eat there all the time. We love to sit at the bar and have some really good cocktails. Hubby loves the margaritas! I'm a Snake Bite fan. Food is always on point and the service is always friendly. Highly recommend the Dixie Chick sandwich. Huge selection of great food. The owner is always front and center chatting, and checking on guests. I've never been to a restaurant where the owner is so friendly and hands on. It's just a great atmosphere. read more

I was a little nervous to come here after reading the other reviews but we decided to give it a shot anyway. Unfortunately I wasn't wowed and probably wouldn't prioritize coming back. The highlight of my meal was the Pumpkin Spice Latte. It was just enough flavor without overpowering and you could still taste and enjoy the coffee. We got our food pretty quickly (ordered at 8:52, food arrived at 9:08)- Chicken and Waffle for me, Jaimes Hash for my partner. "The chicken comes spicy, is that ok?" is what our waiter asked. "That's perfect" was my response. As it turns out, spicy doesn't indicate a level of heat in this case. Rather, it indicates that the fried chicken is covered in dry spices. The chicken itself was alright, not great but not awful. The spices on top were a little much, though. Sadly the waffle wasn't anything to call home about either. All in all, it was an okay meal. The main thing that will keep me from coming back here is that not all employees are wearing masks. The woman delivering our food wasn't, and I cringed at her talking to us in close distance and potentially spreading water droplets onto our food. This was a delightful place! We found a nice regular spot! They have a lot to choose from. Everything we had was delicious. The fried pickles were great! The base for the shrimp and grits is more like a gumbo base, and the jalapeño sauce on the chicken was delicious. Everyone was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. My husband was craving burgers and I came across this restaurant that was recommended. The food looked good in the photos so I was like why not. We were seated very quickly which was nice. The workers were very kind as well. The food is what we had a issue with. We ordered the loaded cheese fries, the burger trio, Bacon Mac and cheese, C.O.D cheesecake with loaded mashed potatoes. Here are my cons: -Burger trio: The texian burger was missing some items on the Texian burger which was kinda ironic since we those were ingredients that were necessary so it can be called the the texian burger. The server was very kind and quick about fixing that issue. -Mac and cheese: This was mediocre. It was cold, dry, and tasted artificial/ like velveeta. -C.O.D cheesesteak sandwich: the meat had no flavor. The queso also tasted like nothing. I had to dip my sandwich in the ranch to get some flavor. I only ate half of my sandwich as I was pretty over it. -mashed potatoes: bland as well. It tasted like they mashed potatoes and called it a day. Honorable mentions: I've been negative so I want to end this as positive as I possibly can. The loaded fries and ranch were bomb! They were seriously so good. Would I pay the $9.50 for the fries? Fuck no. Only because the portion was pretty small for that price. But if they were a few bucks less, you can bet I'd buy it again. The ranch was amazing too. As good as wing stop? No but close. My whole order totaled to $48 something. It's overpriced food that needs more care. The restaurant is really nice too which is a bummer. Over server was great though even with how busy she seemed so 5 star for her! Sadly we won't be back, our search for a good burger place continues. read more

We REALLY kept trying to like this place. It's 2 miles from our house. Today we decided to not come back again. My husband's burger had something in it and more than once, when he was chewing, he thought he broke a tooth because he bit something hard like a rock. Mistakes happen...we understand. But when someone is so disgusted with their meal that they can't even eat it, you can't just take 50% off the meal and think that makes up for it. They should have refunded his money for the whole meal. He only ate 1/4 of it. If you serve something that is literally NOT EDIBLE...then you should refund the whole meal. read more

From the time we walked in to the time we walked out, we had an amazing experience. Went in a Friday night and was immediately seated, then greeted by our server. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the Tomball Cheese Fries, they are absolute perfection. I took the suggestion from one of the yelp reviews and tried the Dixie Chicken and I was not disappointed. One of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had and the portion was HUGE! Not a good night. We live in the neighborhood and had friends in town so we went up to craft grill. My wife and I each got a cheesesteak sandwich. The bun was chewy like it had been microwaved which tells me it wasn't fresh. The meat had several pieces of gristle in it which made it hard to eat. My fiancé and I decided to pop into the craft grill and we sat outside because it was 84 degrees and breezy. Which if you live in Houston, you know how much of a luxury that is. I must say our past experiences haven't been great sitting outside. Haleigh was our server and she was personable, attentive and on point with everything we needed. Haleigh didn't forget anything that we needed and was overall a great server. The "Bama Balls" were really good it was a perfect mixture of crunchy, salty and creamy. I had the chicken fried chicken with sautéed spinach and sweet potatoes fries. I loved it as a dinner choice the only complaint I have is that the chicken fried chicken or the gravy could have season just a tad more. My fiancé had the signature burger and sweet potatoes fries which she loved, she had 0 complaints. We finished with the Pecan Fudge Brownie which was extremely savory and sweet. Unfortunately it was attacked before a picture could be taken lol. Our silverware was dirty which is why I chose to give them 4 stars. Hello, I had an awful experience at Craft Grill the food was on the short end of all sticks but what really struck me was the young waitress. I do not remember the name but could be identified as an individual with dyed hair, big chess, and said she had just started out. When being served I got a swiff of marijuana just being around her. Then when she would only look down at her pad instead of making eye contact, her pupils were exploded. Like she was on some drug. Will I come back? I'm always down for second chances. read more

Our server, who was training a new employee was very attentive & personable. I enjoyed the Ingenious * Smarty (Boo Berry Fluff), and the Hubby enjoyed his Spring Creek Smash (beer & cocktail). As far as the food, we ordered the Nashville Chicken Wings, Smashed Tater Skins, and the Bama Balls. if I'm being honest I only cared for the Bama Balls, but I doubt if I'd order them just for myself. The presentation alone should require a trumpet tear to accompany the waiter. I also really love that their children's menu is called "crafty plates for small appetites of all ages."
