Bread puddinggg
Erber D.

I am absolutely FLOORED. First of all, the setting is clean, well lit and beautifully decorated. Together with such a friendly wait staff, the table was literally set for the food to make or break my experience. What came next left my belly happy and soul satiated. First we ordered appetizers: oysters, dan dan shrimp, Peruvian scallops and corn bread. The fish was great, with the scallops my favorite of the three. The corn bread was DIVINE. Whatever you do- ORDER THE CORNBREAD. For entrees we ordered the shrimp & grits and the lamb special. WOW these are protein based entrees with a pasta base and the flavors were FANTASTIC. I still dream about the lamb special- just incredible. And since we were celebrating my friend's birthday, we could not leave without trying the chocolate torte and bread pudding. I am a SUCKER for bread pudding and it did NOT disappoint. At first glance, the prices look like they can be on the higher end of the scale, but upon having my first bite of every dish, I instantly knew I was getting what I paid for and THEN some. I don't think I will ever go back to Houston and NOT stop by here, especially given how knowledgeable and welcoming the staff was. There's valet parking as well. Just an all-around magnificent first experience here (of what I hope are many more to come)!

I've been here three times. The first time I would've given 3.5 for lunch. Each time I've gone after deserved five stars for dinner. The specialty oysters are wonderful. I haven't eaten oysters for ten years but these were fresh and good. The cornbread is the best I've had. The broccolini, beet salad, and verde greens are good. I didn't like the brussel sprouts. Shrimp and grits, duck, etouffee( when they have crawfish) are all fun eats. The red snapper grilled fish (gulf fish) was good but after a while the flavor was overwhelming. Gumbo is good but not spectacular. Service has always been very friendly and efficient. And the interior is beautiful. Validated parking at the structure right next to it. Love the trees surrounding the restaurant too.

I read a review of this place, and was really looking forward to the Gumbo. I was left disappointed. I ordered the Verde Greens to start. Even though the salad was well dressed, it just tasted like wet lettuce. It was bland and lacked flavor. It looked incredible though! I ordered the large Gumbo. The serving size was larger than a cup, but it would never qualify as a large size of Gumbo at any Gumbo restaurant. It wasn't a bad soup, but there was nothing special about it. It just tasted like every other Gumbo I have ever had. The brisket was a nice touch. It didn't really add flavor, just texture. The restaurant itself is beautiful! Very nice decor with a relaxing vibe. The outside dining area looked nice as well. Think garden party. They have complimentary valet parking as well. The service was great. Very friendly and always checking on you. Unfortunately, for a $40 lunch for 1, I was not the least bit impressed. Such a shame because I was really craving a good Gumbo.

Leaning toward 4 stars I just couldn't bring Myself to add he more. I'm a Cajun/ Creole so when I see Cajun on the menu I expect just that! Service was great but I am disappointed with the current menu. The dining room was upscale but a very relaxed atmosphere. I must admit the gumbo/roux was Louisiana in a bowl. The okra stole My heart so for that I thank the chef with a kiss! The biscuits were heaven! I'm a sucker for a homemade buttermilk biscuit especially if it has some jam on the side. The baccarat cheese was a pleasant addition. My chargrilled oysters were delicious. One of My cubs ordered the cheeseburger on the kids menu which looked like Your average burger but the fries were good. My other cub ordered the chicken tenders but weren't anything to brag about as They looked like the frozen kind You'd get at the grocery store but not fresh. The pan pan shrimp were good but when You've had bang bang shrimp You've pretty much had Them all. As for the bar goes I had a passion fruit drink which was quite quenching and as much as I wanted to go for a second round I was still hungry and just ready to go at that point. I ended up ordering the kids shrimp since the recipe for the shrimp etouffee had changed. I noticed other recent photos had a different pasta than older photos. I really wanted to try the green veggie pasta but it was no longer available. Not to mention etouffee is served over rice whether reinvented or elevated calling a shrimp and pasta dish etouffee is not what a true Cajun wants to see! I'm not sure what the bill came up to as the Beau took care of it but I can say paying $24 for 4 mini biscuits is asinine LoL Don't get Me wrong I'm a foodie and will pay for the experience expensive or not but bc the branding is misleading and leaves so much to desire I can say I wouldn't return here to dine again. It's located on the corner of Buffalo Speedway and Richmond. You can park self service in the garage or valet.

Overall, I enjoyed the dining experience but my real thoughts are a 3.8 score when all considered. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. However, I must say I'm a little confused on trying to understand the Cajun/Creole label when describing the cuisine. The food is very good but perhaps not a great value when considering the price. We tried several dishes, Roasted Duck which I'd give a 3, Herb Roasted Chicken is a strong 4, the Cornbread is a 5, and the Beet Salad was a 3. I must say the wine list is excellent and the bartender made great cocktails. Again, when all is evaluated from my first visit, I'm rounding to a four score.

Came on a Monday, Christmas week so it was not very crowded. Valet parking or garage parking available. The restaurant gives a validation voucher for the garage after your meal. Service: The hostess was welcoming. The server was very friendly, helpful & attentive. The place is 'casual-elegant' with a little rustic vibe. (White wood tabletop with knots) Food: Chicken- tender. Not a lot of flavor though. Duck - again tender. Lacked seasoning. Beet salad - it was also. good. Little more salad dressing that I prefer. But good. Filet - ok. Minimal Flavor/seasoning. Cornbread - good! Try it. Broccolini- ala dente. It had more flavor than the meats. Also the side items (veggies & starch) with the large plate were more flavorful than the actual meat dishes. Bread pudding - had an orange flavor included which wasnt my favorite flavor profile. I took a few bites & left the rest. Summary: I guess I gotta say, this wasn't really the best food experience for me. We were a party of 5 adults & ate family style so everyone tried everything. We all felt pretty similar that the food was lacking. My food experience is so different from many other reviews, it makes me wonder if the "regulars" in the kitchen were on holiday. Based on this visit & it being my first time, I can't say that I'd come back.

They have complimentary valet. Love that! We went in on a Sunday with no reservations and were accommodated. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Very nice ambiance with a lot of natural lighting. Definitely want to go back and try the patio area. The food was pretty good.

As I rolled up to the restaurant there was a choice between going right towards valet or left to the parking garage. I generally avoid valet so I turn left and asked the guy about parking for the restaurant. I take the ticket and drive up to the fourth floor already in a bit of a mood that I'm going to have to pay for parking. Oddly no one mentioned the validated parking, but I saw a little ticket sitting on the host stand and grabbed it. We didn't have a reservation, but we were told we could have a table assuming we'd be done by about one as they needed it for a group later this afternoon. Seemed a bit odd as the restaurant was half empty but whatever. We started with two appetizers, because the person taking me to lunch suggested it I just went along for the ride. We had the Dan Dan shrimp and the cornbread. Both were delicious choices. If I was only going to get one, I would suggest a cornbread as it's easy enough to share among even four people. Great flavor with just a little bit of sweetness to it and a large block of butter on top. The Dan Dan shrimp were tasty, but a little too much breading which overwhelmed the shrimp flavor. I would have like this dish spicier or just more flavorful in general. Still solid though. We eventually move on to the main course. We're this point however I probably could have just left satisfied with what I've already eaten. I had the shrimp and grits. Delightful. Big tasty shrimp. I think some sausage in there as well. The grits and the sauce were great. I had to keep the dish when the waiter tried to take it away so I can mop it up with some cornbread as a finishing bite. The food here really was quite delicious. The small things that keep this place from being a five: Why not tell me that I can get my parking validated? Why make a deal about having to be done by a certain time but then not even enforcing it? When we left the restaurant it was still half empty. $60 a person when not drinking, even though it was a lot of food, is a bit much for lunch. Part of this is on us for ordering the appetizers I guess. But still it seems a bit too expensive for my taste.

I came here a few times soon after it opened and recently returned for a large party. It was much better than I remember. The back room was a good choice for an event dinner. The restaurant looked done up for the holiday and all service aspects were positive. It was very quiet in the bar and dining room. Parking was easy with free self parking and valet available. Loved the oysters and the étouffée. Cornbread was just ok. The beer salad was ok and the beets themselves were the best part. People seemed to really enjoy the chicken.

Beautiful restaurant with great atmosphere and great vibes as well as great variety of Cajun food selection. My waiter Timothy was also very kind and attentive. I got the passion fruit spicy margarita with gulf fish which was very good. The only minor thing is it took a bit for food to come out and the fish needed some more salt and pepper for the flavor. I also got the king cake and ice cream for Mardi Gras as dessert. Overall I would say the experience was great and would be back again.

The food was the best thing here. The drinks were leaving something to be desired, I can't quite place it (the NY sour I ordered was mixed and not layered). Their head waiter is a donkey. We had a server named Amanda who wasn't versed so she brought the head waiter over and when we asked him what an ingredient was, he 'jokingly' suggested we search on Google but the joke was flat. The cooks really saved the day however, the cornbread delicious and the lamb cooked to perfection. The front of the house really needs to step up their game, management should hire people who's insides match the outer beauty of the venue. We ultimately could have been sold more items if we weren't joked around with but I guess it's just that kind of place.

What originally pulled me into Eunice was the cast iron cornbread and hand-pulled burrata... and I didn't even end up getting the cornbread, so now I have to come back! We came for an early Sunday dinner to celebrate our anniversary, and the evening started off with a sweet touch--complimentary glasses of champagne. The restaurant was pretty quiet at first, but it started to fill up as we were finishing up. The space feels bright and airy with tons of windows, and I can imagine the outdoor seating being perfect once the weather cools down. We ordered a handful of dishes to share: * Tuna Tartare (4/5): Super refreshing, but there was a bit more watermelon than tuna. * Dan Dan Shrimp (5/5): Savory and delicious with refreshing peppers. * Chargrilled Oysters (5/5): Cooked perfectly and packed with flavor from the garlic herb butter and parmesan. * Hand-Pulled Burrata (4.5/5): Loved it, especially with the buttery, perfectly salted biscuits. I just wish there was more burrata--there was a little too much pepper jelly and not enough cheese for this burrata girl! * Drew's Smoked Chicken & Sausage Gumbo (4/5): Classic and comforting. The potato salad and chicharron chip made it feel elevated. Our server was polite and efficient, but I wouldn't say the service stood out either way. Given the space and the vibe, I think I was just expecting a bit more wow factor in that department.

July 2025 - My sister brought me for brunch to celebrate my birthday. Service - amazing from the hostess to our server. Drinks - cocktails were great. I tried the sang de l'orange and ordered a French 75 but with tequila. Food we started off with the oysters & the Cajun duck poppers (basically elevated jalepeno poppers). My sister had the gumbo and I had Mimi's pancakes with a side of grits. I'm upset I didn't say anything about the pancakes because I definitely have had better pancakes at IHOP. Literally the only thing I didn't enjoy here. That seemed to be the only other "sweet" breakfast option that I preferred or else I would've gotten something else (the waffle sandwich sounded messy). I still plan on giving this place another chance maybe for lunch/dinner but brunch was not it for me. And it's so cute in there !

We went on a Saturday for lunch. Hopefully this was just a one-off, but if you're looking for good Cajun boiled crawfish, this is not it. We started off with 6 lbs (group of 4) of their regular crawfish. First off, they put the Cajun seasoning on outside/shell (!!), which is a cardinal sin for Cajuns. They also minimally seasoned the boil, so the meat was lacking salt and flavor. We ordered 3 more lbs with the "wet sauce" (garlic butter), thinking the lack of flavor may be attributed to this being the first-ish batch of the day. Nope, the second batch was even less seasoned than the first. The sauce was good, but it didn't make up for the unseasoned meat. The crawfish were a good size, at least... Inside it's a nice restaurant with an upscale feel to it. I ordered a house salad for $9 to start and the Pasta Rosa entree for another $28. The salad arrived first with a generous amount of romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes, cucumber, shredded carrots and chopped eggs on top. With my chosen ranch dressing it was a good tasting salad. The Pasta Rosa dish had sliced Parmesan strips on top of penne with shrimp, crawfish and sausage for the protein with mushrooms and a tomato cream sauce. This meal initially tricked me. My first impression was that while there was plenty of protein the taste of the tomato cream sauce was lacking some flavor. I expected more. However as I kept eating and getting beyond the top layer of the food the flavor increased significantly. I think that the proteins caused the sauce in the lower half of the dish to create more punch. This dish got better and better and I changed my mind. It turned out to be a very good tasting and filling meal. Finally the table service was very good too. P.S. I also tried part of another appetizer which was the bar b q shrimp for $16.
