I'm missing fresh crawfish season so I thought I'd review one of my better outings this past season. I am a huge Crawfish Cafe fan in general, but this was my first time visiting this location. It's a very nice location in what looks to be a newer shopping center. There's tons of parking available. I can't remember exactly what day we came, but it was pretty busy at lunch time. Luckily we were able to be seated right away at a booth. Service was great from start to finish. Our main goal eating here that day was to convince our out of state friend how great crawfish is. Her one experience before wasn't great but I knew coming to Crawfish Cafe would change her mind. We started off with a few of my favorite appetizers. First off was some a sampler of oyster. I'm more of a chargrilled oyster fan and that was my favorite of the bunch even though they were all good. I just gotta have calamari anywhere I go. They do it really well here and add some Cajun flair to theirs. We also shared some of the wings. They do more of a dry Cajun rub and it is very good. Two of us went with boil combos. I like the Combo 1 which comes with 1 pound of crawfish, 1/2 a pound of shrimp, 1 corn and 1 potato. It's the right amount of food for me since I am a slow peeler. I also added a sausage link. My go to for sauces is the signature house blend which is a combination of their garlic butter and kickin' Cajun. It always hits the spot. The day we came, the crawfish were big and easy to peel. The sauce was on point and it had just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming. Our out of town guest had the etouffee and loved it, but also loved some of our boiled crawfish as well. I think we did a solid job of converting a once crawfish hater thanks to Crawfish Cafe. This location was great and I would happily come back next time I am in the area. read more

Really enjoyed our visit to Crawfish Cafe! Our server Owen was awesome--super attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. We came during happy hour and thought it was definitely worth it. The portions are smaller, but honestly, I liked that because it gave us a chance to order a bunch of different things and try more of the menu. Their "Boil Hour" alone is worth coming for! One thing about crawfish cafe is you can always count on them to be consistent. This was my first time coming to this location and everything was spot on. The service, the drinks, the food, everything measured up to what makes crawfish cafe my favorite sea food spot. I started with the crawfish beignets and chargrilled oysters. The beignets were made fresh as they came to the table warm and fluffy. They were so good, I had to order a second round of them. For the main course I got the Combo 4. This comes with 1 snow crab cluster, 1/2 lb shrimp, 1/2 lb live crawfish, 1 corn, 1 potato. I went with my usual "House Special Blend Sauce" this is Garlic Butter & Kickin Cajun mixed together. After many visits I've come to the conclusion that there food here is inconsistent. A few months ago I ordered their red beans and rice and received a cup of watery bean juice that was lacking in almost any beans yet FULL of sausage and had the bay leaf left in it. They weren't good at all. Today, I decided to try the red beans and rice again and as you can tell in the pictures the consistency is a lot thicker, the bean ratio is more accurate and taste wise I enjoyed them! I'd love to hope that this is a permanent improvement but I just don't know. Same thing for the fried shrimp, on my last visit not too long ago I ordered some and they were delicious! Fried to perfection, juicy, great flavor and tasted fresh. On today's visit they were dried out, burnt, overcooked and had a distasteful, oily aftertaste. It's frustrating when I don't know if I can expect to have a good complaint-free meal because the food is too inconsistent! I had a bad experience my first time eating crawfish. Since then, I never really cared to try it again.. until the crew introduced me to Crawfish Cafe!! I was still a bit skeptical when ordering, but I knew they wouldn't steer me wrong. This place is clean with a huge dining room. Service was great, and prices are not bad at all. We were seated immediately upon walking in on a Sunday, right before the lunch rush came. I am salivating as I'm writing this because the flavors of everything we ordered is still fresh on my mind!! Bottom line: just try it at least once! They know what they're doing here. It's no wonder this place is poppin!! Next time I'm back, I'll try to make another stop so I can get my own bag of crawfish. I played it safe this visit and got the Crawfish Etouffee, lol. I was lazy to peel them, so this fit the bill for me that day. Let's get started, Cindy X was my hostess. She's beautiful, kind, knowledgeable and gave great food suggestions. Keep her and promote her. This was my first time in after seeing it on yelp. She suggested the sampler which is not on the menu but for $9.99 it comes with all the crawfish starters. Chargrilled oysters, peach Magarita and garlic noodles. Cindy X was right on the spot. Food was hot, has flavor and tasted delicious. Tab was under $20 and I felt I got my monies worth. I'm definitely returning to try other menu items. Came here on a Sunday with some friends craving some catfish! This was the first time I'd been to this location and it definitely won't be my last! Well lit upon entering, and was greeted immediately. We got there at the perfect time, as there soon started to be a wait after we were seated. We came just a few minutes before noon, and this place was packed! We were seated and were so excited for all the things. We ordered the sampler oysters, the calamari and the lemon pepper wings. I have never had wings at any of their locations, and let me just say....from now on I will!!! They were soooo good! Whatever that batter is that they use on it, it is so crispy and crunchy, and had just the right amount of seasoning! 11 out of 10!!!! The oysters always hit the spot, and the calamari was great as well, with the coating that was on there, so crispy and crunchy!!! On to the food, I ordered the combo 1, which comes with a 1lb of crawfish, 1/2 lb of shrimp, corn on the cob and a potato, and then I added a side of sausage! I went with the garlic and cajun seasoning, medium, which was just the right amount of food. The flavor is always sooo good!!! the crawfish were a great size! The shrimp are always good, and they're so good. And the sausage!! Such a good snap on the sausage, I always look forward to it. The corn was just out of this world, cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. The line is always wild at Crawfish Cafe. I think I ordered a little wrong this time, so I'm definitely giving it another shot. We started with boudin balls, and the sauce was the highlight--kind of a mild honey-Dijon mustard vibe with mustard seed and a hint of horseradish and some aïoli. My wife also loved my fried rice, which was the base of my "smack pack" (not sure on the spelling). I also ordered the seafood gumbo, a side of sausage gumbo, and garlic noodles. My entrée was good--just not great or memorable. The seafood gumbo, though, was a mess: watery, almost no flavor, and I ended up salting it heavily (and I never salt anything). The sausage gumbo was much better--richer flavor and a thicker, more satisfying consistency. The garlic noodles were tasty, too...but nothing special. My wife got the #3 boil with potatoes, crab, and big, fat shrimp, and she was happy with it. They were sold out of bread pudding, which was a bummer. One thing I thought was unique: it's Vietnamese-inspired Cajun, so a lot of the seasonings and sauces have a Vietnamese twist. And the service was excellent--my server crushed it. Food-wise, I'd call it a 3 out of 5, but the service bumps it to a 4 out of 5. I'll be back, and next time I'm ordering what everyone else seemed to be losing their minds over--the massive bowl of crawfish or a full-on giant boil. read more

Had a relaxing vibe- place was full. Service was slightly slow but since it was full & the food was very fresh, can't complain. The crawfish beignets did NOT disappoint-I would get those again. I do wish they could figure out how to put the spice of the "cold" dip sauce "into" the beignets! That would knock them over the top- The crispy chicken took me by surprise-I didn't realize they would have a batter. I would not get them again-but -batter on my wings just isn't my thing. It was PACKED and walk-ins had a 2 hour wait time. One person in our group got the smoked boudin link and said it was really good. I went with Combo 3 in Signature sauce - it was good, but I don't think it was $40 worth of food. In hindsight, I should've gotten the Smack Pack XL for an extra $5. Overall 7/10, Andy our server was really good and very attentive even running the floor by his self for the most part. The food was an average wait time maybe 15-20 minutes for the main course. Maybe around 10 minutes for our appetiser. We got 2 platters and 2 appetisers. Crawfish bread ! Amazing 10/10 ! Crawfish boudin egg rolls I would say a 8. The platters we obtained came with fish, shrimp, hush puppies and sweet potato fries (+1). The food was well seasoned, if you are going to get the fries ask for them a little longer to cook though, they weren't fully finished. The gumbo seemed like they used okra which made it a bit more slimy than I am use to but I really liked it, id say a 8.5. There we a few things I wasn't appeased to (personally) but overall I would recommend this place for a quick spot to grab some quick eats with a friend. Lunch date with mom was a success and I owe it to the folks at Crawfish Cafe!! The parking was fair and the location was ideal for those in the Cypress /Coles Crossing area of town. They have a great food selection and the service was excellent...we were served by Monse who was very attentive and helpful the whole time. Now the eats!! My mother ordered the Flounder and the yum yums and and thumbs up from her said it all. Everything was cooked fresh and was not cold upon being served. I had the Garlic noodles with crawfish which possessed plenty of flavor...slightly dry, but I had garlic butter on the side which helped tremendously. Had one of their appetizers when I was last here and had to come back during my lunch break to try an entree! I got their seasoned seafood bowl with rice instead of noodles. It came with an MP of crab legs, shrimp, taters and corn!!!! I don't know what kind of creol seasoning the used on the rice and shrimp but it was out of this world. The corn was covered in it too!!! So the first time I tried it, it was take out and the grilled shrimp po boy was amazing! I stopped in for the first time to pick up food to deliver, and the service was great! The young lady at the booth immediately greeted me (usually when doordashing it's difficult to get staff's attention) and knew the status of the order. While I was waiting, Vy checked in with me about the status of the order and offered me a drink.
