Delicious seafood and grill! Many options for only 9 bucks. Water spinach and grilled oysters were our favorites!

Be warned that this place is ridiculously busy. We came one hour before closing and waited an entire hour for our food. The atmosphere is incredibly hectic, servers have no idea what items you still have left, and will punch in items that you later found out has been sold out already. Food is ok, not as salty as the Bellaire location, but not stellar either. Oyster sashimi is just raw oysters, and you can get much better oysters at other places. Snails are cooked a bit too long so they're dried out and tough. Hot pot was good but comes in only one small size so if you come with a big party you will get one exact portion. The only dish I can affirmatively say was great are the fried pork intestines.

Shrimp and rice

Very badly behaved children (possibly of the owner? or manager? Running around laying down on the unoccupied tables barefoot and bumping into my table and chair. Had some shrimp that was hard and rice was ok. Out of control children make patrons nervous. Doubt I will return so I guess it doesn't matter.

First off: whom ever give this restaurant a bad review just because of Crawfish. Y'all need to try all the other food they have to offer. I know on their signs says "crawfish" but they offer tons of other food. That being said, non crawfish season or peak season.. all their food are absolutely amazing!! So y'all should come back and try some of the other food they have too offer!

My favorite place for oysters now.

First time coming here after a friend invited me to dinner. The oysters and crawfish was absolutely delicious. The house special crawfish was covered in garlic butter, thin orange slices, and onions with their signature spices. It was very well balanced with a little saltiness, sweetness, citrus, and spiciness giving it full of flavor. And the grilled oysters was no different! Definitely will be coming back to try other items on the menu. The service was on point as they were very accommodating with what we needed.

I came to support their new location but left disappointed. Crawfish was $7.99 a pound at the time of my visit. They added fried garlic to the crawfish and it was bitter. Sweet snails with salted egg was a big mistake. the waiter asked if I might have lactose intolerant because the dish contained cream and cheese. I was thinking "what does that have to do with the salted egg" but he wasn't kidding. It was not salted egg sauce. It was a combination of melted cheese and mayo. The only good thing about this place was the super nice and friendly waiter.

Honestly, by no means does this place has the best tasting crawfish but it does have a variety of Vietnamese food that I do crave! Especially snails! This is literally outside my neighborhood so its pure convenience and I don't have to travel down Chinatown to fulfill my cravings. Crawfish - I went a few weeks ago and it was $6.99/lb. Fairly priced. I got the house special which I'm not fond of. I don't really like my crawfish tasting like our orange juice. And it's very garlicky. Not a bad thing but crawfish was a little overcooked almost everytime I've been. So when I did come back, I tried the Cajun crawfish instead. A little better in flavor but still mostly overcooked. Needs a little bit more sodium. Haha yeah. Tail meats a little bland. Snails - I've tried a couple of snail dishes here and for the most part it was was enjoyable! I prefer the ones cooked in coconut milk or the sautéed ones in lemongrass and garlic! Spicy, savory and just delish. Chicken feet - love these things! Especially deep fried and always ask for extra crispy! And a side of rice. The crispy buts goes well with it. Grilled shrimp - these were good. Nothing crazy. Overall, I would say crawfish is okay. Vietnamese food faired way better. But however, the service is nonexistent. I've been here like maybe 4-5 times already. Only one other time, I've had A+ service. Most times, the guys just sit behind the cash register on their phones. I can be the only one in there and still have to wave for something. lol but yeah. A lot of times, I've seen dirty tables left uncleaned even up until the time I was done eating.. but besides that. I do enjoy it. Convenient and affordable.

Special drink that Leo made us. These go down too easy and have a perfect balance of sweetness and tangy flavor.

Hidden gem in Katy! Came here on a Wednesday and tried some of their top dishes. Every bite was fresh and delicious. Amazing value too! When the bill came out, we couldn't believe we got so much high quality food for the price. Staff is friendly and attentive, food came out super quick. The restaurant is clean, looks new, and has an upbeat vive. Ocean 2 is going into our rotation of local hot spots.

First time coming here after seeing someone post about their crawfish special being only $7.99/lb on WED and SUNDAYS! After seeing the reviews, I was a bit nervous but I was pleasantly surprised! They give you a complementary salad as an appetizer, which I thought was nice since it's not a common thing in SE asian restaurants. The salad is simple but ended up being a nice palate cleanser while also eating the crawfish. We got both the house special and the garlic butter. Between the two, I couldn't tell a huge difference between flavors, but the house special was a bit spicier and saltier. The flavor is definitely above average compared to other crawfish places, and I've been to a lot. The size of the crawfish was pretty small, some medium. I'm not surprised though since it's just January and not peak season. The cook on the crawfish was a tad over cooked but since the flavor was great, I'll definitely come back to try again once we are more in season if they keep their prices competitive like it is now.

This place delivered where it mattered most, especially with the highly reviewed appetizers. Probably one of my favorite drinks here was the Thai Green Tea. It has a really interesting flavor that stands out from regular Thai Tea -- more earthy, but not quite like matcha (we guessed there might be pandan in it). Just a heads up: it's definitely on the sweeter side. My partner and I actually let the ice melt a bit before continuing to drink it, which helped balance things out. I came back a second time and still loved it just as much. The dipping sauce felt like a truly authentic representation of Vietnamese cuisine. It was a lightly diluted fish sauce with spicy red pepper and plenty of garlic -- simple but really flavorful. I also appreciated that the table setup let you customize it to your taste. In my first experience here, we ordered the Bánh Xèo, Bánh Khọt, and Bánh Bột Chiên. I was hands down a huge fan of the ginormous Bánh Xèo -- crispy, flavorful, and just overall my favorite (though I'll admit I'm a little biased toward it already). Meanwhile, my boyfriend completely fell in love with the crunchy Bánh Khọt. That said, I did notice a slight graininess in the Bánh Khọt, which took away a few points for me. The Bánh Bột Chiên was solid and got a pass from us, but it wasn't our top pick -- mostly because we've had better versions elsewhere. Other worthy notes: the herbs were fresh and crisp, and the pickled vegetables were refreshing as well (though my boyfriend thought they could've been a bit more strongly pickled). Eating everything the traditional way -- wrapping it in lettuce with herbs -- made the whole experience even better. Honestly, I would come back just to order two Bánh Xèo. I actually came back a second time before posting this review, this time with my family. We ordered the Bắp Xào, Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc, and a simple rice dish. This visit was a bit different -- across the board, we all agreed the dishes leaned too salty this time around. I could also tell the staff was overwhelmed, with only two people handling both the front and the kitchen, so it was tough to get their attention at times. That said, the Bánh Xèo still held its ground. My parents were genuinely impressed by the size, and for me, it's still an absolute banger -- something I'd come back for again and again purely for flavor and value. The Bắp Xào really stood out to me in a nostalgic way. I loved the use of traditional Vietnamese corn, and the sautéed dried shrimp brought back memories of flavors from dishes I grew up eating, even if I couldn't quite pinpoint which one. While my mom thought it was too salty, I actually felt like it would pair perfectly with a bowl of plain white rice. I also tried some of my brother's Cơm Chiên Bò Lúc Lắc and found the beef to be tender and flavorful, though not particularly standout compared to other places. I've had very similar versions nearby, but it's still my brother's go-to -- though I suspect that might also be his way of loading up on protein. Overall, even with the inconsistency during the second visit, I still really enjoy Yummy Quan -- especially for the appetizers. It's a place I'd bring family and friends to try, and I'm still curious about more of the menu... but realistically, I could live life on Bánh Xèo alone. At the end, you also get to grab some guava candy, and for anyone who's never had these, don't forget to pick some up -- they're simply delectable!

We saw on the door that they're BYOB? Thai Green Tea (4.5/5): Really sweet but with some pretty unique grassy/herbal notes! (Pandan??) Would recommend if they can adjust the sweetness down a notch. We let the ice melt a bit and it made for a great palatte cleanser. Banh Xeo (4.5/5): Definitely one of their signature dishes. I read the reviews on how large it was and it was still shocking! See my hand for reference. It's crispy and delicious. Two downsides: Not enough protein, and not enough lettuce to make wraps with how big it is. But overall, definitely one of the best I've had outside of homemade. Banh Khot (4/5): These little flavor explosions are a perfect bite size and are also a signature dish. Would definitely recommend. A few of ours were light on the pork. Banh Bot Chien (3.5/5): I was dying to try this since there is really one famous spot for it. Their version is very good, but misses on the crispiness. The inside texture and pairing sauces and radish were all very good, it just needed a little more crisp. I love that they give extra garlic and spice and basically let you customize the intensity of your fish sauce to your preference. Paid with no issues via inKind at the counter. We definitely left stuffed and would come back!

Service was prompt and quasi friendly. I thought the broth was good despite having an overwhelming aroma of cinnamon. I requested for pho tuoi (fresh noodles) which are slightly bigger than the standard noodles they give you. However, I regretted this choice because many of my noodles were clumped together, distracting from the overall enjoyment of the meal. Additionally, I think there's a heavy usage of MSG in their broth because I felt loopy and very thirsty for water halfway through. Needless to say, I was only able to eat half of the generous serving. For those who are a fan of pho and appreciate generous portions, this place is definitely worth a visit. Their pho bowls are substantially larger than those I've encountered elsewhere, offering a potentially satisfying experience for the more voracious diner but for me, quantity is not enough of a reason to become a regular. Note: There's a $1 uncharge for pho tuoi (fresh noodles).

At first it was just us and one other table, but not long after, more people started coming in, probably for lunch as well. The restaurant is pretty large, with both tables and booths, plus a big table for large groups. This is what we ordered: Combo Rolls This comes as a sampler with five different types of spring rolls. Regular spring rolls, nem nuong rolls (fermented grilled pork), grilled chicken, grilled pork, and shrimp only. I really liked this idea because it lets you try everything without having to order each roll separately. My favorite was the nem nuong roll. Bun Bo Hue I do not eat pork blood or pork loaf, so I substituted them with more tendon and beef meatballs. Because of that, I cannot really comment on how the pork tasted. The broth was okay but a little lacking in flavor. After I asked for shrimp paste, it tasted much better. Bo Kho (Beef Stew) This is my husband favorite dish, so he always orders it whenever a place has it. He ordered the one come with bread as dipping. He did not really like this one. It was not bad, but not great either. The flavor was missing, and the broth was more watered down than how he prefers it. Still, it is worth trying if you like beef stew. Overall, our experience was just okay. The service was fine, but the food did not leave a strong impression on us. We did not stay long since my husband had to get back to work. I would come back to try more dishes, especially pho. Since their name is Pho Guru, I feel like the pho might be better. Plus we dined in around Fall time in 2025 so I think the place would have so change with out last experience

I've been meaning to write a review for years! See my photos of the different meals I remembered to shoot. Anything you order, you can't go wrong! Everything here is consistently excellent. My go-to order is the Bún Thịt Nướng (B2) -- the grilled pork is perfectly seasoned and cooked, the noodles are light, and the vegetables are incredibly fresh. I also love the garden rolls with pork or shrimp. What really sets them apart are the sauces: tangy, balanced, and flavorful without being overly sweet. You can tell care is taken with every component. We've ordered family meals, various entrees and it never disappoints. Their soups are also outstanding -- comforting, deeply flavored, and exactly what you want alongside a Vietnamese meal done right. I bring family and friends here whenever I can, and everyone loves it. Their take out is quick and still as tasty. The staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming, the prices are modest and fair, and the whole experience feels like a breath of fresh air compared to Los Angeles dining.
