Decided here for our monthly ladies happy hour . Yes there is a HH menu. Love the location and plenty free parking was a huge win. Was seated quickly at the bar but food took an abnormal amount of time to come out. No it was not packed . We noticed that being the norm for all the occupied tables. Eveything fried was salty for us but we managed to eat it but definitely not worth trying again. Yes I'd go back if some huge changes occurred .

My first time eating at greedy lion was a Sunday evening. It wasn't busy the time that I went. The service was amazing. They are very attentive, great hospitality and the mocktails were amazing. Like Nothing I have ever tasted before. I had the turkey chops which were tender great seasoning. The cabbage was 10 out of 10, The sweet yams I give a six out of 10 it had a aftertaste that I wasn't too fond of. I got it switched out for their mac & cheese, which was really good. Overall experience was amazing. I will be back. This does Give soul food

We came to check out a new-to-us spot, and we found The Greedy Lion, which is located in the Washington Corridor area. Their menu consists of mostly southern menu items; we ordered the wings, and salmon balls for apps. The salmon balls were subpar; it was pretty fishy and I wasn't a fan of the interior taste despite the texture being good. The wings were fried well; decent size and crispy. The associated sauce with the wings was a bit too sweet; I wasn't the biggest fan so it was good that we requested it on the side. My entree was the short ribs with corn and greens. The flavor of the ribs were fine but slightly underwhelming. It was a very crockpot cooker texture and it was slightly on the bland side. The sides were fine but not extraordinary.

The Greedy Lion was a great experience for me. Just to be able to have a nice meal without having to fight for parking or pay for parking these days is a major plus. The food! The food! The food was amazing. I wanted to experience the Lion in great way so I ordered the Greedy Wings, and the soulful sides!!! I'm more of spicy wing type guy so I really didn't know what to expect from the Greedy wings, knowing they are tossed in yam sauce. Well, let me testify!!!!! I enjoyed them wings all the way down to the last finger lick!!!!! They were perfect balance of sweet and savory. Every side was amazing, but the spicy cabbage was EVERYTHING and I can't wait to return for more. The service turned out to be pretty good. It's a friendly environment for the most part. I'm just having a hard time trying to determine the vibe. The aesthetics of the layout/decor and the food is giving a dimmed light, possible date night situation but the environment was a little more hype, giving more of a cocktail/coffee bar feel! When I'm about to head out, I just need to know if I'm wearing shorts and a tee or some pants and button down, that's all. Needless to say, you need to pull up and pay them a visit!

I was invited to check out Greedy Lion on a night they were filming promo as, what the GM mentioned, it's only been open for a month. This is the location of the old TREZ Wine Bar. The restaurant boasts modern elements, kind of ecletic, and has efficient lighting all throughout. The food is definitely the star here -- Greedy Wings are PERRRFECT, and every side on the menu was like a taste of comfort. Great balance of pricing with portions, too. I'm a stickler for an ambience, atmosphere, and service (which there was an attempt, but fell short.) It was also a little noisy during the event. A few things could make it even better: Be vigilant and welcoming to customers entering the establishment, provide faster service, more balance between music and conversation, adjust the lighting to match the vibe, and layout of the dining area needs improvement. Overall, this is a spot l'd come back to if improvements are met. Available parking, good food, great drinks and safe area to enjoy yourself worry-free.

Decided to give this place a try based on a Instagram post. I saw the name before but something about the name Greedy lion didn't make me run to it, but after seeing the food I wanted to try it. We went Sunday around 11 and they were empty but they had just opened. Alexis greeted us and allowed us to sit anywhere. The parking was plentiful and free! The atmosphere was very nice. We ordered 2 drinks and they were okay. It was a side car and a bourbon drink. They were only serving brunch but the chef let me order the fish and spaghetti since that was my main purpose for going. We also got the wings and waffles. The waffles were cool and the wings were huge. The fish was great and flavorful. I also liked the spaghetti. I learned this was owned by a black woman from Chicago which was a plus in my book. It is a little pricey but it was good. They hit you with the auto gratuity like all the other BO resturants so be ready for that. I would come back.

This is a hidden gem! I didn't know what to expect coming to The Greedy Lion, but I was impressed. Everything we tried was flavorful and well cooked. I wouldn't come here on a diet, but the food was well worth the calories. We started with the greedy wings and sweet potato corn muffins. The wings were seasoned well with a slight sweetness. The muffins might've been my favorite. I'm a sweets person and although the muffin itself isn't super sweet, the butter they give you almost tastes like icing. For my entree I had the catfish frenzy. The fish - yes. The spaghetti was alittle cheesy for me, but my boyfriend loved it. It's located in the heights in a shopping center. It's small so you wouldn't just notice it, but it worth your time to find. I would be remised if I didn't mention the bartender. bartender T was amazing. He helped us selecting what to order, was very attentive, and makes a mean sidecar. He definitely enhanced our experience with his vibrant energy. Come check it out.

First time going to The Greedy Lion, 10/10 best place to get soul food. Staff were super kind and attentive. Food was hot and delicious. Lexa was our server and very sweet, and the manager I believe his name was Devon were all very kind. Kudos to chef Bree for the amazing food.

The moment the plate of Greedy Lion Food arrived, its aroma curled upward like a warm invitation, promising comfort crafted with intention. Each bite revealed seasoning so deftly balanced that it felt less like technique and more like affection expressed through spice. The textures showed equal care tender where it should yield, crisp where it should resist, creating a rhythm that kept the palate engaged. Service matched the dish's spirit, delivered with a sincerity that suggested the kitchen takes pride not only in flavor but in the feeling it evokes. The ambiance, simple and unpretentious, allowed the food's heartfelt character to take center stage. In the end, this is the kind of meal that doesn't merely satisfy hunger it reminds you that love, when folded into a dish, is its own quiet form of luxury.

Even with the crowd, the line kept moving, and there was no shortage of delicious-looking options on the steam table. From fried chicken and turkey wings to baked fish, spaghetti, cabbage, green beans, mac and cheese, dressing, black-eyed peas, collard greens, candied yams, mashed potatoes, and more, it was hard to decide what to order because everything looked homemade. I ordered the turkey wing with collard greens, black-eyed peas, mashed potatoes with gravy, rice, a corn muffin, and sweet potatoes. I also grabbed a Suicide Punch, which is a mix of all their Kool-Aid flavors. First, let's talk about those sweet potatoes... BABY!! They absolutely stole the show. They were piping hot, buttery, perfectly sweet, and hands down the best thing on my plate. I could've easily eaten another serving. The collard greens were seasoned beautifully with a rich, smoky flavor and plenty of pot liquor. They were tender without being mushy and tasted like they had been cooking all day. The black-eyed peas were creamy, well-seasoned, and comforting, while the mashed potatoes were smooth and paired perfectly with the savory gravy. The rice soaked up every bit of that gravy, and the corn muffin was soft with just the right touch of sweetness. The turkey wing itself was tender, juicy, and covered in flavorful gravy. My only surprise was that I was expecting just the wing portion, but instead I received the whole wing with the drum attached. It wasn't a big deal because it was still delicious--I just personally prefer getting only the wing. The Suicide Punch was another winner. If you grew up drinking Kool-Aid, you'll appreciate it. It's sweet, refreshing, and a fun mix of all the flavors. My family ordered several other dishes, so we got to try quite a variety. We had baked chicken, macaroni and cheese, candied yams, and black-eyed peas, and everything was generously portioned. The baked chicken was moist and well-seasoned, and the mac and cheese had that creamy, homemade taste you hope for from a soul food restaurant. My only real complaint was that some of the food was served lukewarm instead of hot, which took away from the experience a little. Soul food just hits differently when it's fresh and piping hot. Ironically, the sweet potatoes were the one item that came out nice and hot, and they were absolutely perfect. Overall, Mikki's serves authentic soul food with generous portions and flavors that remind you of Sunday dinner at a family member's house. The food is comforting, the selection is impressive, and it's easy to see why the place stays busy. If everything had been served hot, this would've easily been a five-star experience. Pro tip: Don't leave without getting the sweet potatoes and a Suicide Punch. Trust me--you'll thank me later. sweet potatoes and a Suicide Punch free refills. Trust me--you'll thank me later.
