The food is always amazing the fried chicken was very the yams were sweet but not overly sweet the greens were flavorful and the Mac and cheese creamy. The gumbo was ok. The drinks were good as well I enjoyed my French 75. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive but not overly attentive, we sat outside and the breeze was just right it was perfect weather to enjoy our food outside and see the atmosphere of the city.

Hello everyone! Today was an awesome day to enjoy eating outside. I started with an Old Fashion. Good flavor. Then I ordered a strawberry lemonade to go with the food. Taste like homemade lemonade. Now when the main meal came, the fried chicken was hot and seasoned. Everything on the plate was seasoned great flavor. I had a gumbo before the chicken and that was great. The Service was perfect! He gave me everything I wanted. Come and try for yourself!

"A Birthday Dinner Done Right: Flavor, Service, and Vibes at Grace's" October 25, 2025 I know this review is well overdue, but better late than never. What an amazing experience my family and I had at Grace's! It was everyone's first time dining here, and it absolutely won't be our last. My daughter, Tatyana, chose Grace's to celebrate her 26th birthday, and I must say, she picked a winner! I made reservations in advance, and we were seated right away when we arrived: no waiting and no hassle. Service was impeccable. Our server, Bradley, was professional, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. He handled our party of ten with "Grace" and ease: smooth, attentive, and never rushed. The ambiance was just as impressive as the service. The dim lighting and soft music created a relaxing vibe, and I especially appreciated that the music wasn't blaring. We could actually hear one another and enjoy the moment. The cuisine is full of flavor and beautifully executed, with a unique cultural blend of Italian, Creole, and American influences. I also appreciated the background provided on the menu about "Grace," which helps explain the restaurant's culinary identity: Sicilian roots with Louisiana influence. Whatever the magic is, it works. The food was hands down some of the best restaurant cuisine I've ever had. Everything was beautifully plated, elegant, and appetizing. Food ratings: Jimmy G's Seafood Platter- 5/5 The texture of the fish and the onion rings were crunchy and perfectly-fried. Complimentary Cast Iron Cornbread- 5/5 This dish tastes like the warm welcome you didn't know you needed. It arrived at our table in style, piping hot with that signature skillet-baked edge, golden and crisp, which made the first bite give that little crackle sound before turning soft. The inside was tender and fluffy, with a sweet buttery crumb that melts as soon as it hits your tongue. The flavor is classic Southern comfort. Shrimp Stuffed Poblano- 5/5 This dish hits you in layers: smoky, creamy, and bright all at once. The poblano itself has that gentle roasted char: a slightly earthy, green-pepper flavor with just a warm whisper of heat that builds slowly instead of punching you in the mouth. Fajita Steak Y Enchilada- 5/5 This dish tastes like pure Tex-Mex comfort with a "treat yourself" upgrade. The steak has a tender chew, not rubbery, and it's the kind of flavor that instantly makes you want to chase it with a bite of Spanish rice or a warm tortilla. The tortilla is soft and soaked just enough to be silky, not soggy, and the filling tastes hearty and satisfying. Smoked Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich- 5/5 This is not your average cheesesteak sandwich. It tastes like a classic comfort-food favorite that's been given a bold, smoky makeover. The first thing I noticed was that deep, slow-smoked flavor, warm and woodsy, which made the beef taste richer than a standard cheesesteak. It's almost like a softer, juicier brisket-meets-steak vibe going on. Les Allison's Shrimp Tacos- 5/5 This dish tastes like the perfect coastal-Texas combo of fresh, crispy, creamy, and bright, all stacked into a warm corn tortilla. The shrimp is the star: flaky and tender on the inside, with a lightly seasoned, savory flavor that doesn't overpower that clean "fresh-from-the-sea" taste. The outside has that golden crunch that shatters a little when you bite into it, crispy, not greasy, and then immediately surrenders to soft, juicy flakes. Baked Potato Dip- 5/5 This dish is an appetizer and tastes like a loaded baked potato turned into pure, scoopable comfort. The dip is creamy, buttery, and rich like whipped potatoes while possessing a warm and savory "straight-from-the-oven" flavor. The chips makes the experience even better: crisp, salty, and solid, with a loud crunch that contrasts the silky dip perfectly. The two together make this dish creamy, crunchy, salty, tangy, smoky, and cheesy. Frozen Margarita with Strawberry Swirl- 5/5 This drink tastes like a frosty, sun-soaked treat that still means business, if you know what I mean. It feels icy and smooth as it hits your tongue while sweet and tart at the same time. The liquor is blended in just right; you can taste it, so it feels like a real margarita, and not a slushy, but it's not harsh or overpowering. It gives the drink a warm little backbone that sneaks up gently and makes each sip feel balanced and grown. Overall, I truly have no complaints about this establishment. It is an amazing place. The only downside is the 50-minute drive; if they opened a location in Cypress, I'd be there all the time! Parking is plentiful with a parking garage next door. Dress code is medium-formal, not too dressy but not underdressed. I highly recommend this upscale, welcoming, relaxing establishment. You will not be disappointed.

I had dinner here last time I visited Houston. My friends and host wanted to come back as they say it is reliably good food and drinks. After my second trip I agree. The steak was cooked (medium) and seasoned perfectly. I love a steak that doesn't require steak sauce. My drink was a nice pour as well. My party 5 all enjoyed their meals and I'll be sure return here when I'm back in the area again.

The atmosphere is always nice here. We sat inside, came in around 9pm. We were seated at a table near the bar, that room can be a little noisy but nothing major. They stop seating people at 9:45pm. Our waiter was very friendly and polite. We ordered the Cajun stuffed chicken with Mac & cheese and Brussels sprouts. 10/10! Also, we ordered the grilled chicken, Mac and cheese, with candied yams. 10/10!! Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I've never had a bad experience here. The drinks we ordered were Kirby Sidecars. You can't go wrong with those, they're strong and one does the trick!

I met some friends for happy hour at Graces. It was Halloween and I expected a crowd. Pleasantly surprised that we were able to get a reservation for our party of 7 at the last minute. Our service was good. We ordered a variety of drinks and dishes. I enjoyed the hot cornbread and ordered the Cajun stuffed chicken with greens and Mac and cheese. Also ordered crab cake. So good and I had leftovers.

Oh my! I enjoyed this meal!! We had a party of 6 so I got to sample several dishes. Service: (10/10)- We had a team of 3 servers so 1 of them was always checking on us, filling water glasses, or removing finished plates. It was Sunday brunch, full house but the food still came out pretty quick. Food: Bananas foster pancakes (10/10) - they were just great. Soft, melt in your mouth & not too sweet with the bourbon carmel sauce. Sausage (9/10) - homemade, nice hint of garlic Chicken (8/10) & waffles - chicken wings were large, well seasoned with visible pepper flakes in the coating. The chicken was the star of the dish. The waffles (5/10) - were very ordinary & a bit dense. Our entire table (even the waffle lovers) said hands down the pancakes are superior. Eggs (8/10)- scrambled soft & actually well seasoned for eggs! Crab cake (8/10) - good amount of crab not filler, well balanced old bay seasoned. Tip: you can sub 1 pancake for the waffles in the chicken & waffle order. Note: the pancakes are a la carte so the eggs, bacon/sausage and potatoes are all separate at ~$6 or $7 each. Parking: Valet parking is convenient & free (with a tip of course!) and car retrieval was fast. I highly recommend Grace's for a good southern breakfast. You won't be disappointed in the food or the service!

Grace's has consistently provided highly quality meals for both brunch and dinner over several visits. The team of servers were outstanding with their check-ins without being a nuisance. All were very friendly and quick to respond to any requests. As always, Sunday brunch is a crowded affair but our reservation was honored immediately. Our group of six was very happy with our meals and each of us shared our dishes. I had the chicken and waffles and the chicken easily earned five stars. The waffles on the other hand were very ordinary and somewhat dense in consistency, a three stars. Got to sample the potatoes and absolutely loved them. Of course, I'm going back but my perfect meal will be chicken wings and pancakes.

Everything was delicious and service was spectacular. We went with a group and everyone loved their food. Cornbread was delicious. Their mashed potatoes were SO GOOD. But their carrot cake was better than I expected - I would get it again in a heartbeat! Also the parking was easy with the garage next door. And the ambiance and look of the restaurant was great too. Everyone was friendly.

I was in Houston for the weekend and went here to celebrate a friend's graduation. We had a large party and the restaurant was very accommodating. We sat outside which had a nice ambiance. Our server was very friendly and gave some great recommendations. I ordered the Toni's Kale Salad with grilled chicken and it was really good. The cornbread was also good. Looking forward to going back and trying more menu items.

It has been a while since I last ate at Grace's. We made a reservation for 5, and were sat outside... Luckily it wasn't terribly hot today, but I do prefer being sat inside. Grace's does get pretty busy during lunch time. We started off with the baked potato dip. If you like chips and queso, you'll love this. I honestly think all restaurants should start serving potato chips with their dips instead of tortilla chips. Total game changer. We also had the sweet & sour calamari and shrimp. I was a bit skeptical when it first came out because of how it looked. I never had noodles with calamari before, but it paired so well with the sweet & sour sauce. I think this is one of the better calamari dishes I've had in Houston. I usually have the cornbread here, but didn't this time. I highly recommend trying it for your first time. As for my entree, I ordered the creole stuffed chicken. I didn't really care for the collard greens. I liked the mac & cheese, but I wish I had rice because the chicken dish is a bit too salty for my liking. I could only finish half of one of the pieces. There's plenty of crawfish. Overall, it's just a very heavy meal. I probably wouldn't order this for lunch again because I can't imagine anybody finishing it and completing any work after. I chugged my water lol. If you do order this, I recommend splitting it with a friend.

Dined in for Houston Restaurant Week and everything was great. Graces is a Houston staple located in the Kirby area. We waited about 15 minutes for a table after our reservation time. Our server- Lakayla was very sweet and informative. I ordered the stuffed chicken served with mac and cheese and greens. Entrees include a soup or salad so there is a great bang for your buck. Everything was amazing. The complimentary cornbread is warm and sweet. For the table, we split their frozen pomegranate mimosa pitcher- which gave us about three drinks a piece. Gratuity is already included in the final bill for all tables. While the restaurant was busy- it was not too loud and allowed space for conversation. Always a go to for a nice comforting meal!

Yes they do have separate checks, Only time it's one check is when you reserve the party room

He ended up being one of the best aspects of our experience that evening. Our waitress wasn't nearly as good. We started by asking for ice in the water from the waitress since they just give you room temp water. After 10 mins of seeing her serve other tables and ignoring our request, we then figured the water boy would make it happen...and sure enough he did. We then ordered the grilled oysters, which are very lightly cooked, almost seemingly steamed more than anything, but they were very good regardless of the cooking method with the sauces and garnishes and pickle juice added. Next up was ordering the entrees. The menu here is a little strange with numerous vegan choices with strange titles and only a few items with protein. To top it off, there are not many choices period. The waitress explained that the left side is basically the apps, and the right side is basically the entrees. I knew I wanted to try the wagyu flat iron steak which is priced pretty high here, compared to other wagyu flat irons I've had at other restaurants across the US. We couldn't really decide on a 2nd main dish then the waitress mentioned the off the menu special which was a scallop pasta so we picked that thinking it sounded delicious. The entrees come out about 15 mins later, and we take our first bites and we both thought, oh no, if we share the other person across from me isn't going to like this dish because it's too salty. I tried the steak first and noticed the sauce being extra salty, then I tried the pasta and the pasta was way worse, but the scallops didn't seem to be affected. We immediately told the waitress the next time she stopped by....and she just said okay, and walked away. I figured she would go get the manager....but nope...she just kept on serving other tables. At this point we thought to ourselves only the oyster app was decent.....and no reason to look at the dessert menu since we had already spent over $100 on food we could hardly eat. Sure enough, the waitress stops by a 2nd time and asks if we'd like to see the dessert menu. I couldn't leave fast enough and told her we'll skip. Needless to say we both left hungry as the portions were not only not edible, but also fairly small. The water boy also stopped by and offered to turn on the heater if we get cold. Boy, I wish he was our waiter instead. For a supposedly Michelin-starred restaurant, I feel they really got this one wrong.

The team behind the popular restaurant Nobie's opened up this tiki inspired restaurant. They share a lot with another popular dining spot so parking can be a little difficult in their lot. You can find street parking or park across the street in an overflow lot. Customer service was great from start to finish. We had just ate next door and our intentions were to come in here just for cocktails, but I couldn't leave without trying some of the popular items. I wanted the most tropical drink I could find on the menu so I started off with the Blue Hawaiian. I saw fire on the description so my extra self needed to have it. I'm a big rum guy so this drink was right up my alley and very boozy with two types of rum. It was very coconut forward with pineapple being the secondary flavor. One was enough for me to feel just right. Since we had just ate, we decided to share the World Famous Cheeseburger. This was a great burger. I don't know if they were going for the smash effect, but it had smash burger characteristics. It had all my favorite things that are musts on a burger like American cheese and red onions. It also had a very nice chili aioli that added great flavor to the burger. I came on another stop for a drink visit shortly after and tried the pork dumplings and popcorn chicken. These were also very good. If I lived in the area, this place would easily be a place I would frequent often. I will most definitely be back!
