Food was really good! I got the grilled chicken breast with two sides. The complimentary cornbread at the table -top tier. I definitely would dine in again. No complaint's.

This is home cooking elevated while keeping true to its roots. I had pot roast with a twist, pork rather than the beef I'm accustomed to but it was so tender you didn't need a fork. Had a cup of gumbo too, just fabulous. Others at the table had fried chicken, chicken fried chicken, beef stroganoff and a variety of other dishes. Everyone left with smiles. Try the calamari too, nice crust and loved the sweet chili sauce. This is a nice setting to celebrate in.

I enjoy coming here! The service was great. The food was great! My drink was great. I did sit at the kitchen bar and that was an cool experience. I wouldn't typically sit there, but if you want to see what the kitchen does and would like to get in to eat, that's a perfect spot.

Everything was delicious. I ordered the fried chicken that came with mashed potatoes and black eye peas. It was so good.

Went for my bday brunch on a Sunday with friends and family. Did a reservation on OpenTable and was only able to book the patio. The weather was good so it was ok. Actually, I'm happy we sat outside because the inside was so crowded and packed. Our server was really good, but they did forget our drink order- iced coffee and my sister mimosa. The shrimp and grits had good flavor with a small kick to it. The cornbread they give you at the beginning is very tasty! Everyone liked there food so no complaints. The place didn't wow me but it was pretty good.

"A Birthday Dinner Done Right: Flavor, Service, and Vibes at Grace's" October 25, 2025 I know this review is well overdue, but better late than never. What an amazing experience my family and I had at Grace's! It was everyone's first time dining here, and it absolutely won't be our last. My daughter, Tatyana, chose Grace's to celebrate her 26th birthday, and I must say, she picked a winner! I made reservations in advance, and we were seated right away when we arrived: no waiting and no hassle. Service was impeccable. Our server, Bradley, was professional, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. He handled our party of ten with "Grace" and ease: smooth, attentive, and never rushed. The ambiance was just as impressive as the service. The dim lighting and soft music created a relaxing vibe, and I especially appreciated that the music wasn't blaring. We could actually hear one another and enjoy the moment. The cuisine is full of flavor and beautifully executed, with a unique cultural blend of Italian, Creole, and American influences. I also appreciated the background provided on the menu about "Grace," which helps explain the restaurant's culinary identity: Sicilian roots with Louisiana influence. Whatever the magic is, it works. The food was hands down some of the best restaurant cuisine I've ever had. Everything was beautifully plated, elegant, and appetizing. Food ratings: Jimmy G's Seafood Platter- 5/5 The texture of the fish and the onion rings were crunchy and perfectly-fried. Complimentary Cast Iron Cornbread- 5/5 This dish tastes like the warm welcome you didn't know you needed. It arrived at our table in style, piping hot with that signature skillet-baked edge, golden and crisp, which made the first bite give that little crackle sound before turning soft. The inside was tender and fluffy, with a sweet buttery crumb that melts as soon as it hits your tongue. The flavor is classic Southern comfort. Shrimp Stuffed Poblano- 5/5 This dish hits you in layers: smoky, creamy, and bright all at once. The poblano itself has that gentle roasted char: a slightly earthy, green-pepper flavor with just a warm whisper of heat that builds slowly instead of punching you in the mouth. Fajita Steak Y Enchilada- 5/5 This dish tastes like pure Tex-Mex comfort with a "treat yourself" upgrade. The steak has a tender chew, not rubbery, and it's the kind of flavor that instantly makes you want to chase it with a bite of Spanish rice or a warm tortilla. The tortilla is soft and soaked just enough to be silky, not soggy, and the filling tastes hearty and satisfying. Smoked Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich- 5/5 This is not your average cheesesteak sandwich. It tastes like a classic comfort-food favorite that's been given a bold, smoky makeover. The first thing I noticed was that deep, slow-smoked flavor, warm and woodsy, which made the beef taste richer than a standard cheesesteak. It's almost like a softer, juicier brisket-meets-steak vibe going on. Les Allison's Shrimp Tacos- 5/5 This dish tastes like the perfect coastal-Texas combo of fresh, crispy, creamy, and bright, all stacked into a warm corn tortilla. The shrimp is the star: flaky and tender on the inside, with a lightly seasoned, savory flavor that doesn't overpower that clean "fresh-from-the-sea" taste. The outside has that golden crunch that shatters a little when you bite into it, crispy, not greasy, and then immediately surrenders to soft, juicy flakes. Baked Potato Dip- 5/5 This dish is an appetizer and tastes like a loaded baked potato turned into pure, scoopable comfort. The dip is creamy, buttery, and rich like whipped potatoes while possessing a warm and savory "straight-from-the-oven" flavor. The chips makes the experience even better: crisp, salty, and solid, with a loud crunch that contrasts the silky dip perfectly. The two together make this dish creamy, crunchy, salty, tangy, smoky, and cheesy. Frozen Margarita with Strawberry Swirl- 5/5 This drink tastes like a frosty, sun-soaked treat that still means business, if you know what I mean. It feels icy and smooth as it hits your tongue while sweet and tart at the same time. The liquor is blended in just right; you can taste it, so it feels like a real margarita, and not a slushy, but it's not harsh or overpowering. It gives the drink a warm little backbone that sneaks up gently and makes each sip feel balanced and grown. Overall, I truly have no complaints about this establishment. It is an amazing place. The only downside is the 50-minute drive; if they opened a location in Cypress, I'd be there all the time! Parking is plentiful with a parking garage next door. Dress code is medium-formal, not too dressy but not underdressed. I highly recommend this upscale, welcoming, relaxing establishment. You will not be disappointed.

The food is always amazing the fried chicken was very the yams were sweet but not overly sweet the greens were flavorful and the Mac and cheese creamy. The gumbo was ok. The drinks were good as well I enjoyed my French 75. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive but not overly attentive, we sat outside and the breeze was just right it was perfect weather to enjoy our food outside and see the atmosphere of the city.

Hello everyone! Today was an awesome day to enjoy eating outside. I started with an Old Fashion. Good flavor. Then I ordered a strawberry lemonade to go with the food. Taste like homemade lemonade. Now when the main meal came, the fried chicken was hot and seasoned. Everything on the plate was seasoned great flavor. I had a gumbo before the chicken and that was great. The Service was perfect! He gave me everything I wanted. Come and try for yourself!

I went on a Sunday near the end of brunch, and I probably won't do that again for a few reasons. It was crowded, loud, and they automatically add a 20% gratuity during brunch, even for a party of one. That said, I would return because the experience wasn't bad overall--I'd just choose a different day and time next time.

I had an amazing experience at Grace's!! I came here to celebrate my birthday last month with two friends from out of town who wanted to try southern food. The food, decor, and service here were amazing. We wanted to try this restaurant as we were looking to try the best corn bread in the area. The jalapeno corn bread that is served here was way better than I had expected. It was seasoned well and not dry at all! We ordered Chicken fried chicken and Cajun fried chicken to share. Both entrees were extremely good, but the sides unfortunately fell short. The collard greens were a tad bit too salty & the mac & cheese was a little bland for our liking. The mashed potatoes were our favorite side. Our server, Ned, was extremely kind to our table and provided us a great dining experience!

The atmosphere is always nice here. We sat inside, came in around 9pm. We were seated at a table near the bar, that room can be a little noisy but nothing major. They stop seating people at 9:45pm. Our waiter was very friendly and polite. We ordered the Cajun stuffed chicken with Mac & cheese and Brussels sprouts. 10/10! Also, we ordered the grilled chicken, Mac and cheese, with candied yams. 10/10!! Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I've never had a bad experience here. The drinks we ordered were Kirby Sidecars. You can't go wrong with those, they're strong and one does the trick!

I had dinner here last time I visited Houston. My friends and host wanted to come back as they say it is reliably good food and drinks. After my second trip I agree. The steak was cooked (medium) and seasoned perfectly. I love a steak that doesn't require steak sauce. My drink was a nice pour as well. My party 5 all enjoyed their meals and I'll be sure return here when I'm back in the area again.

Yes they do have separate checks, Only time it's one check is when you reserve the party room

I might have just found one of my new favorite restaurants in Houston. What a great experience!…read more Recently, a good friend dined here and immediately called me to tell me how great it was. She then text our friends group and said we all had to come together and we did just that. She made reservations in advance as this place is popular thanks to recent Michelin Bib Gourmand awards as well as many other accolades. Walk ins are welcome as well. Our reservation was later in the evening so after a night of bar hopping, we ride shared in which I think is one of the best options as parking is limited here or you have to find street parking in the neighborhood. This place is literally a house turned into a restaurant. Inside is just multiple rooms with a couple of tables. It makes for a unique, intimate dining experience, perfect for a date night. In our case, we were a group of nine so we got patio seating. The patio is spacious and well kept, and if the weather cooperates, a great place to hang. One thing that really stood out to me is the amazing ambience of this place. I was told that the bartenders pick the music for the night from the owners extensive vinyl collection. Once the album is in, they play it in it's entirety. The sound system was systeming and on top of the great company and food, we were totally vibing with the music. Customer service was amazing. Every staff member we came across was so friendly, especially our server. The menu here changes. There are some mainstays, but they like to change things up. Their website shows current menus daily. We were told that family style is the best way to experience this restaurant. I am one of those people that will always listen to the staff and go with their suggestions. Our group went through quite a bit of their menu from apps, entrees and desserts. I loved that our server and staff brought our food out one by one in what they thought was the best progression so we could take a culinary journey. We started off light with their popular Dilly Bread. Best bread I've had in awhile. Next was the Texas Tartare. It was my first ever tartare and it was delicious. We then moved on to Fingerlingin Good which was a crispy potato dish with chili crisp and mascarpone. It was potatoes elevated to the highest level and so so good. Next up was Beer Battered Sweet Tots. I didn't think sweet potatoes could be that good. Our first entree was a vegan dish called the Carroty Kid. I could seriously become a vegan if all dishes tasted like this. It was curried. A bowl of jasmine rice would've made it a complete meal. Next we tried another famous Nobie's dish called Nonno's Pasta. Handmade, perfectly cooked tagliatelle with a delicious bolognese. I wouldn't share this next time. Ok, I will, but it was that good. On to the heavier dishes. First up was the Jamon With Your Bad Self. This came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was favorite heavy entree. It was high quality, iberico pork steak with shaved brussels and all kinds of other tasty ingredients that when combined made such a tasty bite. We then went to the sea with the Drops of Grouperter. It was good, but not something I would order again. It was a little too smoky for my liking. Our biggest dish that came market priced was the Kick His Ass Seabass. This was a whole fish that was presented beautifully on a platter with all the accouterments to make your own elevated fish tacos. We left no morsel of fish behind. It was absolutely delicious. One of the things this place is really known for is their pies. This was the part I was most excited about. Just like their menu, their pies change up. We got all their offerings that night which they presented on one big platter of goodness. Their main stay and I believe always on the menu is the famous Olive Oil Cake. It's not a pie, but I can see why this is such a popular dessert. I can't even describe it, you just have to try it to understand. The pies we had were the Black Bottom Strawberry Pie, Banana Rum, and the Peanut Butter Pie. I would order all of them again. We all had a difference of opinion on which was the best, but my fave was the Banana Rum. Overall, I was highly impressed with this place and kind of mad at myself for waiting so long to make it here. It had made it's way to the top of my list of favorite restaurants in Houston. I will be back.

The first were "natural" and nicely briny. The 2nd was pure genius: they said it would taste like a Big Mac, and they were spot on. Amazing! Steak Tartare - the steak and deviled egg mixture were satisfyingly velvety and the accompanying bread was buttery, chewy, and addictive; Puff Puff Pass - unique textures: crispy, chewy, smooth elements are married beautifully. Nonno's Pasta - this dish was my least favorite. I found the flavors to be too cheese forward with not enough acid; Jamon With Your Bad Self - while not much to look at, this dish was outstanding. The pork's texture was simply magical, and the flavors well-balanced. On the side, we had the Fingerlingin Good potatoes, and they lived up to their name: pleasantly crispy and bursting with savory goodness. Desserts: the Olive Oil Cake was a dream: incredibly moist and tender with vanilla richness and a kiss of lemon. The Black Bottom Pie was not my favorite. I would the salt to be too much and couldn't eat more than 2 bites because of it. Service: warm, gracious, attentive, and efficient. As for ambiance, this is where the restaurant misses the mark for me. It's in an old house, and when we walked in, that's exactly what I smelled: old house. Still, if you're looking for a unique, creative menu that delivers on flavors, add nobie's to your bingo card.

The team behind the popular restaurant Nobie's opened up this tiki inspired restaurant. Tiki bars happen to be one of my favorite varieties of bars so I was more than excited to finally check it off my list. I had recently seen them on the Food Network as well. They share a lot with another popular dining spot so parking can be a little difficult in their lot. You can find street parking or park across the street in an overflow lot. Customer service was great from start to finish. We had just ate next door and our intentions were to come in here just for cocktails, but I couldn't leave without trying some of the popular items. I wanted the most tropical drink I could find on the menu so I started off with the Blue Hawaiian. I saw fire on the description so my extra self needed to have it. I'm a big rum guy so this drink was right up my alley and very boozy with two types of rum. It was very coconut forward with pineapple being the secondary flavor. One was enough for me to feel just right. Since we had just ate, we decided to share the World Famous Cheeseburger. This was a great burger. I don't know if they were going for the smash effect, but it had smash burger characteristics. It had all my favorite things that are musts on a burger like American cheese and red onions. It also had a very nice chili aioli that added great flavor to the burger. I came on another stop for a drink visit shortly after and tried the pork dumplings and popcorn chicken. These were also very good. If I lived in the area, this place would easily be a place I would frequent often. I will most definitely be back!

First, we got there pretty early for our reservation. We sat almost immediately upon check in. Our waiter was in training but did a really good job. Ordered a whiskey sour. Was seated at the bar so I got to watch it be made. The bartender- man that guy never stopped. He was organized and just did his thing. So many pretty drinks were made while I was there watching. The pink one, whatever it was, was really pretty! On to the food. We got two apps, two meals, and two desserts. Husband ordered the Brussels, Steak Frites, and the Devil's Affogato. I got the Bacon covered Dates, the Pizza, and the Sticky Toffee Cake. The Brussels were good - husband liked them more than me. They were good. Had cashews in them. Little spicy. The bacon covered dates. Think this was my favorite bite. Sweet, salty, creamy. Came we three & I had two. The pizza was sweet and salty as well. The crust was so good and fresh. The arugula set it off so well. Def a buy again! The Steak Frites was so good. The chimichurri sauce was perfect. Just the right mount of citrus. Steak was tender and the fries seasoned well. The desserts - don't skip them! The Devils Affogato we had the first time we ate at Sixty Vines. Had to have it again. If you like coffee, chocolate and vanilla ice cream just get it. Restaurant vibe is relaxed and clean. There were several large parties and what looked like a lot of date night guests. Just try it. No regrets!!

Unfortunately, just like my first visit, they were not fully met. We had reservations for brunch, and our party of six was seated immediately on the beautiful second floor. Service was efficient throughout the meal, with our waiter taking our orders promptly and the food arriving quickly. To start, we ordered the Brussels and the hummus. The Brussels were cooked very well and had an excellent crispy texture, but I felt the kung pao vinaigrette lacked the bold flavor I was expecting. A little more sweetness and acidity would have helped brighten the dish and make it more memorable. The hummus, on the other hand, pleasantly surprised me. Both the red beet hummus and edamame hummus were flavorful and enjoyable. They paired well with the crisp flatbread and even served as a nice accompaniment to some of our less exciting entrées. For my meal, I ordered the marinated artichoke pizza, which unfortunately did not stand out. I had the same issue that I experienced during my previous visit: the crust was simply too thick and chewy. After a few slices, my jaw was genuinely getting tired from all the chewing. The pizza also could have benefited from more bacon and a more generous amount of sauce, as it came across a bit dry overall. The campanelle suffered from a similar problem. While I understand that simplicity was likely the goal, the dish was so understated that it ended up feeling bland. It tasted like a slightly elevated version of buttered pasta with just a hint of white wine. There was nothing particularly wrong with it, but it lacked the depth of flavor needed to make it memorable. On a much more positive note, the carrot cake pancakes were easily the star of the meal. I tend to gravitate toward savory breakfasts, but my sister was eager to try them, and I am so glad she did. These were not your typical pancakes. They were thick, fluffy, and incredibly soft in the center. With toppings like maple butter, maple cream, mascarpone whip, candied walnuts, and cardamom sugar, I expected the dish to be overwhelmingly sweet. Surprisingly, everything was balanced quite well. While I cannot imagine finishing an entire plate by myself, anyone with a sweet tooth would absolutely love them. Overall, this restaurant continues to impress me with its atmosphere, service, and a few standout dishes, but the entrées I have tried have not lived up to the hype. If I were to return, I would happily order the hummus and carrot cake pancakes again, but I would probably skip the pizza and pasta in favor of trying something new.

Recently she had an afternoon appointment and I was able to swing by and join her. When her appointments were completed, it was in the beginning of peak traffic time, so we decided to walk over to DS and have a bite to eat and catch up This space is so open as well as cozy. Soon as you enter, you head straight to the counter to order. From there, you're given a number and choose your seat. Booth and table options are available. On a Thursday afternoon, the place wasn't busy but not empty, which gave my Mom and I the opportunity to catch up without a noisy dining room. The food came out fresh and hot and for the price, we were surprised by the portion since its was the $10 HH burger and fries. The fountain drinks were interesring as well. DS does not have Coke or Pepsi products. They have similiar flavors you would find with those brands. I enjoyed the Mexican Coke. It seemed to not be as fizzy aa your own well know caffenated Compadres but still carried a great flavor. Let me not skip over the dessert! Mom LOVED the pecan pie which she states had whole pecans instead of pieces. I did not wven notice that she had been getting pieces of the pie as we talked. Half of it was gone when we left. That means is pretty scrumptous! I had enough willpower to eat my chocolate chip cookie when I got home and it was worth the wait! Not only is the cookie huge, but the semi sweet chocolate and sea salt is chef's kiss. Grat combo of both worlds. Combine that with the crunchy outisude and chewy, gooey interior and this is one of the best cookies I've tasted in a long time. So glad to dish all this goodness to Yelpers and remind them of another gem in West U that will not only give you a great place to get a bite but satisfy that sweet tooth.

I stopped by with my buddy on a Thursday evening close to 9 p.m. Free parking was a cinch in the parking lot they share with several other businesses. Service (4.5/5): You order at the counter and then they bring your food out to you. The lady who brought me my food checked on me twice and was super nice. She called me "sweetheart," a little Southern hospitality goes a long way. Ambiance (4/5): Modern, clean, and comfortable. In line with other Dish Society locations I've been to. We sat at a booth/table combo. Drinks (4.5/5): I love when a restaurant has more than your standard selection of soft drinks. You'll find that at Dish Society. They have "craft" sodas and a nice selection of juice blends. Plus sweet and unsweet tea. Food (4/5): I went with a cup of the tomato bisque soup and the Nutella French toast. The soup tasted as good as it looked. Some croutons or a piece of garlic bread would have been nice, but outside of that, this starter couldn't have been better. The Nutella French Toast was similarly well done. I love French Toast and I love Nutella. So this was a match made in heaven. Along with some sliced strawberries and some blackberries, I was happy I went with a breakfast dish for dinner (they serve brunch all day). The prices are affordable for the quality of the food. My only complaint? The portion sizes are pretty small. Case in point: two slices of French toast when most places will give you four. Pro tip: Join their club for discounts.
