This started off with a snarky host who looked like Frank Gallagher. Iykyk. Probably overwhelmed with people coming in for restaurant week. But. Here we are. The server recommended the steak frites which was a good value with the additional cost but I have plans for steak elsewhere and didn't want that. And the meatloaf. Which I probably would have tried but it came with potato salad. And I'm not even sure if that would have been okay for me in 90 degree Houston heat. I opted for the scallops instead. The Caesar salad was okay. The scallops and risotto were chefs kiss. Yes. So for parking here it's a parking lot behind the building (it's 3 restaurants all side by side, fia is amazing btw) and that was 15.00. Or you can do street parking. It's in the med center so parking is scarce. Do what you must with this information. I feel like I came in right after the lunch rush and before happy hour. I like the design of the place. It seems like everybody works together here for service which is always a plus.
I enjoyed my dining experience at this location. We made reservations for a group of 4 for Friday night and once arrived we were seated right away. Upon entering the hostess offered us a glass of complimentary champagne which I declined. Once seated our server Amelia came by to introduce herself and go over the menu. She was informative, attentive and very kind to us. She was upbeat and energetic which made the experience 10 times better and another reason why Granger's is getting a 5 instead of 4 stars. I started off with their mocktail and I got the Rothko-colada which I thought was a little too sweet for my liking but I did enjoy the pineapple flavor, it was strong. I also got to try my friend mocktail (dot-dot seurat) which I wasn't a fan of. After that we got an order of the Parmesan truffle fries & prime filet mignon tips (medium rare). The fries were delicious, Parmesan was strong. The filet mignon tips were tendered and seasoned to perfection. The whipped potatoes were fine but the Demi-glacé was very good. It was cooked more on the medium side but delicious nonetheless. After that we ordered our main courses. I got the crusted salmon and so did Tiffany J. Annalisa P. ordered the pesto pasta rotisserie chicken and my other friend got the wagyu burger. My salmon was cooked medium which I prefer & had a good crust on the bottom. I also had a side of sauté spinach which I should've pasted on it since it was bland. Very garlicky but that's all I got from it. I also got to sample my friend's burger, crispy Brussel sprouts & pesto pasta. The burger was juicy and the patty itself was high quality. Loved the addition of the caramelized onions. The Brussels sprout was a no for me, it was very sweet from idk what. The pesto pasta was very good and the noodles were al dente, chicken was also tendered. At the end I ordered their dessert and got the crème brûlée. Good caramelization on the top of the brûlée. The custard was slightly sweet, smooth, creamy and silky. It was the perfect consistency. Overall, I was satisfied. The food overall was a 4 but Amelia provided spectacular service and is the reason I'll give it a perfect 5 stars. She even checked on us after we paid our bill & packed our leftovers and labeled them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I will say that the ambiance is intimate but kind of loud. The music did start simmering down once we were done with our food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you want more privacy I'll say sit outside on their patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will I come back? Oh yeah.

Popped in for a quick drink during Happy Hour! Drinks were decent, but a bit on the high end for happy hour ($12-18).
I visited Granger's and tried the Aperol spritz, which I thought was good overall. It had a slightly burnt orange flavor to it, which I wasn't expecting, but it was my first time trying one so I didn't really have a baseline for comparison. For food, I ordered the breakfast platter. It was just okay in my opinion. The eggs could've used more salt and pepper, the bacon was very thick, and the potatoes were a bit under-seasoned. The highlight of the plate for me was definitely the French toast--it was really good. One thing to note is parking: you either need to use the nearby parking garage or pay $13 for valet, which is good to know ahead of time. Overall, a decent experience with a standout French toast and a solid drink, but some of the breakfast items could use more seasoning. Our waiter was also so awesome! Very nice and enthusiastic.

Even though I previewed the menu and had an idea of what I wanted, I still had a lot of questions, and Amelia gave great feedback on the mocktail options and food. Our friends ordered a few appetizers such as the parmesan truffle fries and prime filet mignon tips. Loved them both! TBH, I would've been fine if that was my meal. I thought the fries were cooked well, and the aioli dipping sauce was tasty. The prime filet mignon tips were cooked medium even though my friend asked for medium rare. It was still good and tender. I liked the whipped potatoes with the mushrooms and demi-glace. It was like a good steak with mashed potatoes and brown gravy but elevated. For $19, it's on the steeper side in relation to the small portion. The parmesan truffle fries are $16, but it was a much larger portion. I'm assuming the quality of the truffle oil they use for it is what you're really paying for. I was craving pasta that week, so I ordered the pesto pasta rotisserie chicken. I'm a fan of pappardelle noodles, and I thought it was properly cooked al dente. The chicken was cubed and tender. The pesto itself wasn't overpowering for me, but I like pesto. I'm glad there were a lot of pine nuts and that the dish came with garlic sourdough. I love a good garlic bread with my pasta. The dish was served piping hot and was a big portion. I ate half and took the rest home. It ate well the next day. Again, it's a little pricey for pesto pasta at $27. Good thing most of the food we ordered tasted good. The Brussels sprouts were too sweet and very honey forward. It lacked acidity. I also tried a bite of my friend's salmon, and I thought it was nice and fresh. I'd come back and try one of their steaks and CFC. I liked the large selection of mocktails at decent price points since some of them had brand alternatives. I actually wanted to try 3 or 4 of them, but I went with only one - Dot Dot Seurat. It has sparkling fruit punch with fresh strawberries, muddled pineapple, 'filthy cherries' juice, topped with Topo Chico. It looked pretty and tasted good. It wasn't too sweet or sour. I'd like to try the Georgia O'Peach frozen drink next time. Service was great. Everyone helped each other out, and they provided new plates and silverware like at Little's and other Michelin-rated restaurants. Before leaving, Amelia hooked me up with free iced tea to go, too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Firstly the prices were pretty good and the ambiance was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was quick and attentive so 5/5 all around for those "categories" Now the food? Matched everything else! For my appetizer I got the crab hush puppies. I expected something different (I thought it was going to be filled with crap) but it was more so just hush puppies topped with crab. It was good but it didn't blow me away, I think the crab cake would've been a better option I also got the shrimp scampi and steak. The shrimp scampi was flavorful and the steak was absolutely phenomenal, seasoned beautifully, tender, everything you could ask. For desert I got the bread pudding which was solid but nothing super spectacular. Drinks were good, the peach strawberry lemonade cocktail was really good and I highly recommend All in all this was a wonderful dinner and I highly recommend!

Came for a pharmaceutical dinner on a Wednesday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself if nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was great and very attentive. The beef carpaccio was decent as well as the salad we had im not sure what salad it was- it was on a separate menu and it doesn't fit the description of any of the salads on the main menu. But good nonetheless - the dressing they used on it was yummy and had a nice bite to it. The veggies were fresh. For entree I had the steak frites and I wish I would've gotten the shrimp scampi instead. My friend got the scampi and the shrimp were huge and the sauce was very tasty. The steak however was mid at best. It was cold by the time it came out. The chimichurri was definitely not the best I've have. The fries and aioli were the best part of it. The best dish out of everything we had was the dessert- it was a bread pudding with a bourbon sauce. Super yummy and nice and warm. Overall it wasnt the worst but was not the best.

Texas redfish pontchartrain was ok- fish was cooked well, but the rice needed seasoning. The steak was terrible! Temperature wise- it was overcooked. Seasoning was strange. Parking was also very expensive in the garage.
This place has been on our radar for quite sometime now. So we decided to stop in since we were in the area. We wanted to love this place. The food was decent and the service was great, [[HIGHLIGHT]]pleasant ambiance inside and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But it just didn't live up to hype. The food was bland and part of our order was wrong so it took a while for them to remake. We're willing to try again on a different night.
First time at grangers but won't be my last! Came for a friend's birthday brunch and we received impeccable service! Every food dish I tried was amazing! From the oysters, to the Thai wings as a starter everything was a hit! I had the mussels and fries as my entree and it was so delicious, I especially liked the sauce the mussels came in! All the portion sizes were great and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance was great![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would definitely recommend
Kudos to HOU Yelp for pointing us to Granger's. We were seeking a venue close to our hotel for cocktails and some lite bites before our evening event and Granger's was perfect. We arrived to an empty restaurant and bar area, which is AOK for an afternoon cocktail and some bites! We sat at the bar and our bartender was beyond friendly and we had a number of great conversations during our visit. Do check out their menu as they offer everything from fresh seafood to steaks and pork chops. There is also a wonderful wine menu and some interesting craft cocktails. I ordered their Old (Fashioned) Granger that is made with Buffalo Trace. I've had some bad OFs such as too much bitters but this one was perfectly balanced. Ditto with Plus 1s Paloma another perfectly balanced cocktail; not to bitter or sweet. We took a flyer on the beef carpaccio and it was sliced perfectly thin and accompanied with aged parmesan, capers, and dijon aioli. Then we went 180 degrees and ordered the crispy squid. I was assured that it would not arrive very crispy (shoe leather). The squid was perfectly fried tender and the sweet chili sauce was excellent for dipping. Granger's is great for your date night, special occasions, business meetings, or for just a flash happy hour. Easy Peasy 5-Star Review!

Great dining experience at Granger's. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor and design of the restaurant reminds me of old Miami or LA with it's mid-century Hollywood regency styling. It was simply beautiful to look at and perfect for private gatherings in their wine wall space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went around 9:15 on Friday night and it was clearing out with a few patrons dotted around the restaurant which was nice because we could actually engage in conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was 9/10 as well as service 9/10. Our server Julianne was knowledgeable snd attentive but seemed to disappear for a long period once we were ready to move onto dessert. Drinks were 8/10. Appetizers and main course were great but the I didn't love the texture of the dessert compared to others I have had. I would defiantly go back. It was my kind of spot and had a robust menu to dig through. Made a reservation as it was on my list of places to visit after seeing it on TikTok. I was not disappointed! Upon entering you are offered a complimentary glass of prosecco, I was sat immediately and my server got right to the suggestions. He knew the menu and suggested the jalepeno shooters and also told me that the Caipirinha was also great and had it flavored (lavender). My steak??? Cooked to perfection. I met up with a friend for brunch at Granger's and had a really enjoyable experience. The service was good. Our waitress was very nice and personable, which always makes brunch better. The drinks were also solid & we both enjoyed what we ordered. The food was good overall. It was a classic, dependable brunch menu, but I especially appreciated that they offered a chicken sausage option. I do not eat pork, so having an alternative meat choice makes a difference for me. It is a small detail, but it goes a long way. The potatoes were another highlight. They were super crispy, which is exactly how brunch potatoes should be. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would go back for a casual brunch with friends but I do prefer their dinner menu. read more
The food here was really good. A little bland but still very good. We had oysters, Thai chicken, shrimp scampi, and a creamy salmon pasta. I would definitely give it about an 8 out of 10. The drinks were also pretty good. We had a lemon drop, margarita and something else I can't remember. Overall, this is a great place to go on a date or to have meetings. Very dim light and personable! Service was spectacular. Valley is only $13 so that is a major plus read more

This place has been on my list for a while. It finally worked out with my friends since we were going to the MFA Houston up the street after. The restaurant is located on the bottom floor of a medical office building, with other businesses. As I walked in I was offered a complimentary sample of prosecco, thats a nice touch. Showed up without a resy, and was seated immediately. Only a few tables occupied. Parking- they have valet for a set amount I think $15 or $10, I cant exactly recall. But my friends and I came on a Sunday so street parking was free down the street. There is a meter Mon- Sat for street parking though. The medical building the business is connected to has a parking garage, I assume an hourly rate. The place is nicely decorated for Christmas upon my visit. Service- Issac was our server and he was training another server Henry who had a beautiful smile. They provided fast efficient service. Always filling our waters, and getting new silverware for us when we had a new dish. Our server said they had only been open 1 year. Food- we shared the crab hush puppies, which is there popular dish. That sauce was chefs kiss. I ordered the gulf snapper with shrimp $55. I subbed out the rice it comes with for a cesar salad, but I think they charged me for it? I figured it would be an even exchange of items but I guess not? Comes with asparagus and zucchini, only 2 shrimp though. It's a filling entree. My friend got eggs benedict without meat. And my other friend got the seared scallops- grilled nicely but too salty for her. I tried one, it was a touch salty but not terrible. I told her my saying is "I would rather it be overly salty than no salt or seasonings at all" she agreed. The scallops come with mushroom risotto which compliments the scallops well, yummy dish. Very nice restaurant with an upscale feel. I think it could be a great spot for a romantic dinner, as some seating is kinda tucked to the side. There is a bar in the middle towards the back, but I didn't notice it being overly noisy or distracting. Time of day may impact this. Service was great! Prompt and attentive throughout my visit. The food, service and the ambiance was a great vibe to be in on Friday or better yet any day has been a great experience for us!! We eat out everyday and this is one of our favorite places to go.. The waiter - Sarah was exceptional good and very pleasant as she took very GOOD care of us the entire time making sure we were good and happy! Above all the Managers are the real reason we enjoy coming here- Dee Dee and Robert are simply the BEST! They truly are very friendly and pleasant to see. Always a pleasure when we see their face in the place bringing smiles to ALL their guest. Granger's was our saving grace of the night! Long story short, this place was a last minute decision after a failed attempt at another restaurant. Yelp led us here and we were not disappointed. Granger's welcomed us with smiles and a complimentary glass of champagne! Wow what a way to start off the night. Small touches like that really make all the difference. We were seated immediately with no reservations on a Friday night. The restaurant is beautiful and feels upscale without being overly "stuffy". Our server was sweet and made good recommendations. The food was delicious and our drinks were enjoyable. I'd recommend the Texas Redfish, the pan seared scallops and the side pear for a refreshment. Compliments to the staff. Just made it in time for happy hour. Got a couple oysters, shrimp cocktail shooter and a crab hushpuppy. Really good and fresh. I'm not a hushpuppy girlie but that was really good! Got the beef carpaccio as well since I've become obsessed with it after having it at a resort in the Dominican Republic. I was warned that it is raw because people don't know that. Really cute place. Outdoor area but too windy for me! I sat at the bar. Very friendly bartenders. I felt underdressed but they still treated me well. I'm from the Chicago area. Granger's does a lot right--beautiful food presentation, complimentary bubbles on arrival, attentive service, and a polished overall aesthetic. Walking in felt a bit like stepping into the pages of a Fitzgerald novel...old world, new money. I ordered the Hummingbird Collins, which looked lovely in the glass but was ultimately forgettable as it didn't offer a discernible flavor profile. The tuna poke bowl was solid: balanced flavors, but I did add some radishes for more texture diversity. The bread pudding leaned fully into decadence so much so that one bite was almost too much. We had an excellent waiter who frequently checked in during our meal. All in all, Granger's felt like a try-hard...a place you maybe should have heard of, but everyone kept forgetting to mention. read more
I've been here a few times and the food is slay good. The steaks, seafood, and desserts are really good. The meatloaf is tender. I want super crazy about the mushroom sauce on it but it was ok. The bartenders and waiters are friendly and helpful. The inside is very pretty and elegant. A few tvs at the bar. I do think the cocktails are over priced and I didn't know that iced tea refills were not complimentary, which is odd. So if you're in the area, it's a good high end option, but there are other places nearby that are just as good and food and beverages are priced more accurately for what you get. read more

The Foodie Girls of Houston hosted a golf clinic Birdies and Brunch. Grangers was the restaurant chosen to dine at. The food and drinks didn't disappoint!! I had the sidepear it's their take on sidecar. It was so good the other ladies had lavender martinis. I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese and crab cakes. My friend ordered the prime meatloaf dinner which I sampled it was delicious as well. We initially missed brunch so we ordered dinner instead. This place is a must try this is my second visit and the food is always consistently good. Also the entire restaurant always gives the best customer service. The general manager Dee Dee is always accommodating and friendly. read more

We came to Granger's Houston for our anniversary dinner, and it couldn't have been a better choice! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting, I especially loved the dim lighting and the ambiance. Walking in, we were greeted with a glass of prosecco which was delicious and a great start to the night. We ordered the steak frites, steak and shrimp scampi, crab hushpuppies, and oysters. We also got a lemonade cocktail which was refreshing and quite strong. The steaks were cooked perfectly to order. I actually enjoyed the steak with the scampi a little bit better than the steak frites as it was more tender. The crab hushpuppies were crisp on the outside and lots of crab. The sauce that paired with it was even better, and I wish there was more of the sauce. Finally, the oysters were super fresh. The service was decent. The waiter was friendly but when we had requested to pay via apple pay, she disappeared and had us looking for her twice to finally get the bill. We'll definitely be back for another occasion and hopefully will get to try the desserts next time. read more
Um I love! I have had eye on this place for some time and I finally went! They have valet, otherwise it's street parking and there are a couple of parking garages. What I love is! They offer complimentary wine as you wait for your table or party to be seate. Yes please! Secondly the restaurant is soo cute! There are also private dining spaces. This place is a lot bigger than it appears. Anyway the menu is robust and also most importantly really good. I ordered a ceasar salad to start and garlic bread! They were bilaterally amazing. My main entree was the Texas redfish pontchartran. It tasted great and was seasoned to perfection. To say the least no one was dissatisfied at the table. Our waitress was really good and offered good suggestions. I ordered as a beverage the tequila mockingbird and the blackberry Moscow mule. Two solidly strong and tasty drinks. Pleasant experience and I hope to comeback and try their happy hour. read more

My husband and I went here for our 12-year wedding anniversary on a Saturday night. We made reservations ahead of time. Parking ended up being easier than expected--street parking was free after 6 and we found a spot pretty quickly. We asked for a booth, but they told us the only one available was still occupied. The hostess gave us a couple options--either wait, sit in a more busy/noisy area, or go to what they call "the library," which is quieter and more intimate. We chose the library and I'm glad we did. It felt a lot more relaxed and away from all the noise. The place itself is really nice--very chic, good vibes. The bar area was pretty packed and the crowd was super diverse, which I liked. We ordered the crispy squid (calamari) to start--I'd give it like an 8/10. Flavor was good, just not as crispy as I expected. One of the hostesses actually came by and gave us complimentary Prosecco, which was a really nice touch. For mains, I got the 12 oz ribeye (asked for medium rare) with shrimp scampi--I'd say 7/10. Good portion, good flavor. My husband got the cowboy steak (medium), and we shared the gratin potatoes and creamy spinach. Both sides were also around a 7/10--solid, good portions, well-seasoned. The only thing was I think our steaks' doneness might've been switched. Mine came out medium and his was more medium rare. We told our server and we just ate it anyway, it was still good. We ended with crème brûlée--probably a 6/10 for me. It wasn't as smooth and velvety as I usually like, but still decent. Overall, I'd give the experience an 8/10. We enjoyed our time and I'd come back to try other things. read more
First time trying and will definitely be back!!!! We came for my birthday dinner and we were greeted with a complementary glass of champagne upon arrival. We had an early dinner so there was no wait (but I'm a firm believer in always making a reservation). Loved the decor and vibe! Our server was amazing! He gave the best recommendations! We had the Campechana, crispy brussel sprouts, and crab hush puppies as appetizers. I got a Tequila Mockingbird cocktail which was very pretty! For our entrees we got the Granger's Cowboy Burger, Chicken Fried Chicken, Shrimp Scampi & Creamy Spinach Artichoke Salmon Pasta. Everything was 1000/10. Because we were celebrating a bday, our server gifted us a free dessert which was so yummy. Everyone must try this place! read more

Opened on Labor Day! Surprisingly not packed during lunch time. Started off with a mocktail which was the Pink Paloma (tarte and refreshing). For apps, we ordered some Parmesan Truffle Fries (crispy and you can deff taste the truffle flavor) and a dozen of the East Coast Gulf Oysters (pretty fresh). For my main, I got the Pan Seared Scallops (+ lemon butter, balsalmic glaze, mushroom risotto, grilled asparagus). Scallops were cooked nicely and well. Risotto was also tasty and paired well with the scallops. For an extra side, we got the brussel sprouts which were crispy and had a nice touch of sweetness from the balsamic glaze. For dessert, we ended with a creme brûlée (creamy and really tasty!). They also participated in HRW 2025, which the menu looked pretty good as well. Service was a little up and down. Restroom - Clean, had fancy napkins Indoors - plenty of seating and bar seating as well. Looked like they had some party rooms as well for private parties. Hello Yelpers!!! I was meting up with a client of mine while visiting Houston and she mentioned we try Granger's because she had seen it on Tik Tok. Well that was the best restaurant decision I have made so far. First of all the restaurant is so pretty. This is a beautiful restaurant. We were greeted with Champagne when we arrived and I thought that was nice. We were seated and the waiter came over to take our order. We ordered calamari for started and for our main course we had a fish and rice dish and I had the salmon and linguine pasta. Normally I don't get pasta when I go to restaurants but I am so glad I did because it was so delish! For drinks we kept it simple with water. But dessert was out of this world. This was the best dessert! It was a sweet ending to the evening and I am so glad. Let's not forget the service. It was exceptional. I am behind getting to this place because at 1:00pmnon Saturday is was crowded but not enough we couldn't sit at the bar. It was overcast, Restaurant is a little dark for 1:00pm but overall nice vibe in there. i tried the Caroline Street tacos. They were good but so much was happening on them! i also had a side pear which was really good. Service was mid but overall i made a reservation the same day to go back later to try out the dinner menu as it has somethings i liked! i'll definitely be back!! and if you're going, make a reservation! read more

One of the better brunch spots in Houston. My husband did the restaurant week menu and I ordered a la cart. The crab hush puppies were the star of the show. Crispy, crab overflowing through out the dish, and just a cute handheld app. My salmon was good. I didn't add the sauce it came with as it was already sauced enough. Everything else was good as well. Service was slow but they tried really hard to make up for it. I would come back for brunch which is saying a lot because brunch isn't usually my thing. read more
Brunch here is amazing! I almost don't want to share how great it is.... You can valet or park on the street or garage behind- so plenty of parking options for a smooth entry. Host inside greets you with a glass of prosecco- nice touch! Then you can request standard dining area, outside patio, or the small, quieter library room. We went for the library and loved the intimate feel. Then we lucked out and got the best server- Ocean! Stayed on top of drinks and timing food, watching for breaks in conversation to check on us - absolutely great service ! And the food... wow! tried the chicken & waffles, side of skillet potatoes, and avocado toast. It was all really good and great portion sizes. Plus we tried the mimosa flight (so mean,,, brunch!).
