I've been here a couple times for happy hour and at night as well. Service is actually really good for a bar that's always busy. The waitresses check in often and bring drinks quickly. I've tried the picante drink, fruits of earth (pineapple and pass fruit mix so it's sweet), an expresso martini here. I enjoyed it all! As soon as you walk in, the place is absolutely amazing- so beautiful! We went around 7:30 PM, and it was just getting started, with great music, a lively crowd, and awesome energy at the bar. The service from the moment you walk in is superb. Sophia (front person staff) helped us out and was very knowledgeable, showing us all the seating options indoors and even walking us outside. Lauren was also fantastic, introducing us to both the drinks and the food and making you have a very unique experience! And Alex, our bartender, was absolutely great. The music was a total vibe, loud enough to enjoy, but not so loud that you can't have a conversation (live Dj). I highly recommend sitting at the bar; the service feels more personal, and it's a great way to meet people. Parking was a little confusing at first, but we figured it out. Valet is only $10, which is super convenient, but you can also find street parking around the restaurant if you prefer. Sante!!! Wow, I had such an incredible experience here for a Friday HH. I did not make a reservation, but it was a chilly afternoon around 5:00pm and decided to take my chances. We were directed to a high top, and the vibe was exactly what I was hoping for. It was lively without feeling chaotic. Think large bar, beautiful chandeliers, great energy but not clubby. It felt like the perfect spot for a little date or an early evening with the girls where you actually want to get dressed up and have a real conversation. The HH is a win. Five dollar mini martinis and ten dollar flatbreads felt more than fair and fun to explore the menu. The lychee martini and the espresso martini were both standouts. The staff was fun, conversational, and elevated the experience by bringing over a few complimentary drinks for us to try, which made it feel extra special. I chose to valet for ten dollars just to keep things easy, and for the location and overall experience it felt fair. If I had one small note, it would be that the cocktails lean more flavor forward than alcohol strong. After a few, I did not necessarily feel like I had been drinking much, which wasn't a bad thing (they are just that smooth and easy to sip!). First off....learn about tequilas & whiskeys/bourbons! Because for the price of a drink the words 'Jim Beam' should never be uttered! Let's start with - recommended by our dinner waitress.... Hopefully not too soon to speak, but this is probably one of the top bars in Houston right now. Women get in, but men usually need to pay to get in. Reserving a table costs an arm and a leg, but that's the price of being Houston bougie. Atmosphere is beautiful. The bar is beautiful, the DJ area is beautiful, the people are beautiful, and it feels like a tropical escape in the patio area. The food is meh, but not bad. Tends to be very busy on weekends. In my opinion, Sante is the most beautiful bar in Houston. The space is dreamy & chic, the ambiance is grown & sexy. It was my first time here. Upon walking in we noticed the bar seats were all taken, not surprising ofcourse for a Saturday night. We didn't have a reservation but the hosts were very kind and accomodating and were able to offer us a table for two. The presentation of their cocktails is impressive but they are also strong (no skimping on alcohol here) and the food was delicious! We ordered a flat bread and it was bigger than I expected but fresh & so glad we ordered it. I believe there may be time limits on tables, not sure if that's everyday or just weekends but we were asked to close out our tab for the next party maybe after an hour & a half. I didn't mind as we were lucky to even get a table without a reservation but a heads up would've been nice so we could've ordered quicker & had more time to enjoy our food and drinks. The DJ was great, we thouroghly enjoyed the music and mixes, they even have a violinist, Jacob, and he is amazing!! He serenaded me and although I am probably old enough to be his mom he sure made me feel special. This was by far the highlight of my night. Jacob is very talented and certainly adds to the charm at Sante. The valet was busy when we arrived but especially when we left, we must've waited 15 minutes on our car. Great cocktails, definitely a good spot to stop by before dinner for a drink or two. The vibe itself is nice, and I loved walking into the scent of incense. That said, the place did come off a bit pretentious, and the service really didn't match the atmosphere. I came here with a group after celebrating a birthday dinner across the street, and we were all dressed up and excited to keep the night going. From the start, the staff seemed a bit dismissive and hesitant to help us. When we finally ordered, our drinks took a long time to come out, while other groups who arrived after us were served much quicker. We ended up ordering over $200 worth of cocktails and still felt like we were being treated as an afterthought. After about 30-40 minutes, it became pretty clear we weren't really being welcomed, so we decided to leave. I actually loved this place when I first visited. The oud aroma was amazing, the atmosphere felt sophisticated, and the crowd had great energy. Unfortunately, that seems to have changed over time. Lately, the vibe feels completely different. The environment has become uncomfortable, with some guests appearing more focused on attracting attention ( I guess they're trying to find a client) than simply enjoying the venue. There have also been incidents of intoxicated patrons being rude, pushing through people at the bar, and creating unnecessary tension with other women who were simply there to enjoy their evening. It's disappointing because this place used to feel elegant and welcoming. I genuinely hope management takes notice and works to restore the classy atmosphere that made it special in the first place. read more

The device would not allow me to see the itemized receipt. After requesting, the itemized receipt showed that Sante unilaterally, without disclosing it to me, had already charged 20% tip, a 5% venue fee and $8.00 for tonic water (We ordered 2 gin and tonics). Wow! Amazing venue with gorgeous spaces, creative drinks, delicious food, and overall coolness. We stopped by for brunch which ended up three hours long because we kept trying everything. Day drinking at it's finest. I can only comment on half of what we had or this review will be 8 pages long. This is the secret brunch place you've been waiting to spring on your someone special. Opens at noon. Start out with one of the fabulous brunch-only libations (alcoholic or not). The sunflower was my favorite but the two kinds of sangria are both outstanding. Then think over the Michelin worthy menu while munching on the deviled egg trio and the avocado mousse. That mousse will wake you up tonight craving more. Think creamy avocado, garlicy herby soft cheese, topped with the tart crunch of pomegranate seeds and accompanied by crispy lavash crackers. It's 13/10. Now have another cocktail. Try the cucumber kiwi thing in a Tajin crusted glass. The burger is not to be missed. It's so good it's almost insulting to call it a burger. Talk about elevated. It's more like hand minced tartar lightly cooked to your preferred doneness (medium is best) and served on a toasted brioche bun. If you ask they'll cut it into quarters to share. The lobster roll on brioche bun topped with caviar is decadent, but somehow simultaneously comfort food and elegant. A must order dish. The lobster is so obviously freshly cooked and good quality. Last, I'm going to gush over the mandatory desserts: creamy gelato topped with fruity olive oil and caviar. This is a flavor combination I never would have dreamed of previously but I'll be dreaming about it now. The other delish bite is the Dubai chocolate croissant. Pistachio. chocolate. croissant! Enough said. We tried lots of drinks and food and enjoyed everything. The fancy little shots are so fun and creative. Coming here was a surreal experience - in a bad way. I felt like I was in a knock off version of Vanderpump Rules or the Real Housewives. Although the decor is beautiful, the service was laudable. Our bartender literally said "please wait one moment" and didn't even come back to take our order - ever. Eventually we caught the attention of someone else who made our drinks. Of course this took twice as long as it should as they would stop to gossip. And there was a lot of gossip and not a lot of mixing. The drinks though were good but it almost seemed as if the people were hired based more on looks than on skills. The area is closed off behind a curtain when they are not crowded. Patio - nice size covered area. Bar - circular bar seating with good amount of seating (about 20 seats) Garden tables - don't see it listed on the reservation site but there are 3 low couch & chair tables which is a seating area by the front window looking out into the street. Drinks were good. Tasty & well balanced. Mone were not very alcohol forward but a good tasting drink. I went on a Tuesday night which is an "off" night. I can only imagine how busy it gets on the weekend but I prefer the intimate atmosphere of the "off" night. The staff was quite friendly. The bartender seemed as if he couldn't care less about me until my friend came. Once she arrived and ordered he explained everything though I'd been there for 20 minutes and barely been acknowledged. The drinks were ok. Caviar was mid. Oysters were good. Pizza was ok. It started to fill up around 8. The valet is free until 8 and we handed over our tickets right at 8 and they tried to charge us. My company went to Sante for an after party after our annual company event on a Thursday. I had never heard of Sante but everyone I talked to about it only had good things to say. Upon walking in, I immediately felt like I got transported to a chic club in Morocco or coastal Spain (it reminded me of a lot of clubs I've been to in those 2 places). It was a cool experience even though I'm not really a club person. Everyone was dressed nicely there. I would recommend all visitors to dress up at least business casual. Something I wasn't too fond of was that they seemed ok with individuals that were clearly too intoxicated to be there (one guy fell asleep in the bathroom and was falling all over the place in the bar and nobody did anything at least for the duration that I watched everything happen). Also, I requested water for our group along with champagne bottle service. They brought over a ton of expensive water bottles and charged us for them. It would have been nice to just get tap with cups or at least been asked what we wanted. read more

Ambiance was everything here. It's very classy and upscale. Went here with a group of 12 and it was pretty packed but we enjoyed the ambiance. We didn't get food nor did we really get serviced. When you're going here, you're thinking "what's the parking situation?" Well, there is NO parking situation. It's valet or nothing. Valet was only $10 so it's not bad. No entry charge at the door for us. Can't speak for others. All the tables or seating is reserved so we stood up the whole time while holding our drinks and mingling. The bar inside was pretty busy so went to the bar outside. Paid $30 per drink here. Pretty pricey! My drink was not anything to talk about. Am I really rating a new upscale lounge in Houston a 5/5? I sure am! Run, don't walk to Sante and enjoy an amazing evening out on the town. I went with a few friends on a Thursday evening and was hesitant because I thought it would give me Melrose/Clarkwood vibes but it did not. Valet was $10 but we parked next door and went right in. The cops and the bouncers at the door were very polite and didn't even bat an eye at the fact that I had on tennis shoes. They were so welcoming and opened the door for us. When we walked in, I was taken aback by the design and layout of the lounge. The bar is situated right in the center, with a few connecting sofas on the wall. The space is so airy and opens up to an amazing outdoor area. They had a DJ who actually knew how to read the room and played a variety of diverse music selections. Our waitress was also pleasant and attentive. I didn't sit at the bar so I can't speak to what that service is like but the service in the "sections" was great. Originally I had a reservation for the last Saturday in March however mid-week I had to change it. I will say that they are quite accommodating if you call in advance. The hostess was able to move our reservation up and out to the patio which we ended up enjoying because it was less crowded than inside. We Ubered there, so besides valet I'm not sure where you would park. You pay a $30 deposit fee when you're making a reservation and it does get taken off your tab at the end. The music is pretty decent, we really did enjoy being outside because it felt more open and less cramped. Our drinks were good, they were definitely strong. We didn't try any food because we'd just had dinner. However, the flatbreads did look delicious. Overall, we enjoyed our time. read more

Our waitress was very attentive and the bartender made some helpful drink recommendations and brought us out some free shots which were really cool. We were seated outside but there were heaters available, so it was a nice experience and the decor was really cute throughout. We also ordered the Frida flatbread, which was really delicious. That being said, the bartender was super flirtatious with my friend and the waitress continuously came to ask if he was bothering us throughout our time there, wether he was around or not, which just felt rather odd. Not sure if they have something going on but it just gave a weird vibe. Additionally, no one really communicated the time limit on the table so after we asked for the check, the host came to let us know that we needed to leave. We asked to split the check, and even though it seemed like it should be a pretty easy split which they said they could do (it was 2 drinks, 1 flatbread and 1 gelato), my bill was ended up being way less than my friends. Well, when we got there apparently our table was gone anyway. So yeah--I would just not buy into whatever they say on the phone. Luckily, we found a spot at the bar. Came here for a date night and had a fireside reservation where the chairs were across from each other. we ended up moving the chairs and small cocktail tables around to be more intimate which was not an issue. They seem to have a quiet romantic vibe early evening that could give way to full on fun spot when crowded. The patio is absolutely beautiful, a must see. The drinks are very good with reasonable prices. Our server was very helpful and informative with his descriptions of their specialty cocktails. Of course, I couldn't sample them all but selected one that was very tasty but a light pour of alcohol. My future visit will checkout more boozy cocktails to see how the pours measure up. read more
