Stopped by The Cellar Bar where the ambiance is pretty straightforward, nothing overly flashy about the space, but it works well for a casual bar atmosphere. Drinks were fairly priced, especially if you make it before happy hour ends at 7. The crowd was chill and the music was great. One thing that stood out is that they allow you to bring food in from next door since the bar doesn't serve food. It's a nice option if you plan to stay for a while and want something to snack on. I think this is a good place to come to after you get off work, and if you're just trying to day drink and chill with some friends. I work about 2 blocks away, and if I'm feeling it I'll come by and see about having a night cap. They have a few choices (not many) of draft beers, tons of mixed drinks, games to play, tables to chill at, and lots of good tunes to play on their jukebox. I usually just have a bottle of something or a small pint of a cool draft beer. Sometimes I'll feel the need for a green tea shot, but that's only once in a blue moon. Either way, there will be a special on drinks, and they have a good happy hour. The games around the area are fun from basketball to pool to the punch bag game. They even have a free game night as long as you purchase at least one drink. I always liked playing the basketball game against friends. Try it out! Parking outside is a little scarce, as the lot isn't that big. However if it is a slow night you won't have any problem having a space. That's the only flaw in the place, but it's a minor one at the end of the day. No food in the bar, but you're welcome to bring in your stuff, or have it delivered to the bar. Come on by and have a drink after work, or on a day off. You won't be sorry. Only reason it's not 5 stars is the aforementioned parking situation and the limited number of draft beers. read more

Cellar Bar was a regular stop for us when we lived in the neighborhood. Always a welcoming atmosphere, great staff, and awesome drinks. We moved into the burbs and had not made it here in about a year and a half. It still felt like home from the moment we walked in. Make sure to pop in. You will not be disappointed. read more

Cellar Bar!! I nice little hang out spot if you want to get out the house and hang with a few friends. I had to pick up my cousin from the airport one night and on the way home we decided to stop here to have a couple drinks. Best decision we made. The drinks were so good and the atmosphere was chill, plus it was a beautiful night, and the weather was perfect. The bartenders were very nice and informative about the drinks on the menu. The drink prices are pretty average I would say. The 'Pear Necessities' is really good. There's a super limited food list, just a heads up. My cousin ordered their pepperoni pizza. Honestly, it taste just like a pep Digiorno pizza. It was okay. Hopefully, they'll think about expanding their food menu in the future. However, in the mean time go and enjoy the good drinks and atmosphere. There's an outside patio to hang out on, or hang out inside at a table or the bar. Just a nice casual bar. Not ideal for a first date because the music is a little loud. They have games like darts, pool, and a punching machine. They have an outdoor patio and a good amount of TVs inside. I would come back to here to watch a game. Their cocktails description sounds delicious and they have HAPPY HOUR Monday-Saturday from 3PM-8PM and ALL DAY Sunday. When we went to close out we noticed a sign that said $10 minimum on debit/credit card. Me and my friend only got a beer each but they didn't mention anything when they ran our cards. read more

Fries were just ok (3/5 stars). Fountain drink was served cold in ice. Overall was a good experience and similar to other Pluckers's experiences I've had. Large open parking lot. Will return!

I have been living in Houston since 2006 , moved here from Dallas Tx. This little neighbor pub is outstanding and I've been to many . They have very reasonable Happy Hour pricing , Super Karaoke on Fri. and Sat. nights. I'ts an extremely clean bar, bathrooms included! There is free Pool on weekdays ( think Mon. thru Thur.) . The bartenders there is very friendly , including the DJ and the door man will greet you and open your door for you on the way in or out. Cool. The dress code is fairly liberal . This place has a very diversified customer base. Very interactive with the Karaoke singers, fun atmosphere. I've been a customer for about 3 months and will continue to be . Great Find! read more

I had an awesome time at this bar, thanks to the incredible bartender, Erick. His sense of humor and charm kept us entertained all night, making our first visit truly memorable. The drinks were amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect for unwinding and catching a game with friends. It's got that laid-back vibe that makes you want to stay and enjoy the night. The best part? The drinks are affordable, and you can even play some Creed on the TouchTunes to really set the mood. Erick and the other bartenders were clearly having a blast, which only added to the fun. The Cellar Bar is nice. We visited this spot last Friday and had a great night! The place is pretty nice maintained, clean and well kept. Here you can find a pool table, virtual bowling, darts, booths and tables, so you'll definitely find a way to have fun. I hate when jukeboxes take money! Why wouldn't they make it free? Anyway, their music is ok, even though not every track is available. Their drinks are cheap and point-strong. Overall, great spot, so here you go with 4 stars. read more

Had a magic kareoke night here. The vocalists were a mixture of gifted, intoxicated, or both. The bunch was encouraging, as well as lots of great feelings were percolating through the bar. The DJ was amazing--he knew when to slow down the singing with some actual music. If you've never tried this place, you're missing out. There is cute seating area in the front. Prices are reasonable, friendly staff and yummy desserts. I chose pancakes with exotic fruits. It was a Saturday night and they had karaoke happening. We checked it out and WOW! I couldn't believe how much fun it was there and how friendly everyone was. The owner even grabbed a couple of chairs so we didn't have to stand. Definitely a must if you like a neighborhood bar with a lot of friendly people. Bathrooms are always a flight risk during times of desperation and the prices have remained steady despite hikes across the rest of Westheimer. The parking situation is limited to a few spots out front, which are so tight that backing in is a gamble and going front in might result in an angle. it's a tight squeeze for larger cars, but these are coveted spots for the bar hopping kind (#1).
