I don't write reviews and because of our experience at Dinos I had to download Yelp and write a review. My wife and I are in from Colorado and stumbled across this tavern by accident. It was a Saturday night and they had karaoke happening. We checked it out and WOW! I couldn't believe how much fun it was there and how friendly everyone was. The owner even grabbed a couple of chairs so we didn't have to stand. Definitely a must if you like a neighborhood bar with a lot of friendly people. The drinks were good but the people and owner made the bar experience worth remembering. If we end up back in Houston we will definitely go back. We highly recommend Dinos Den! read more

Drove into Houston late from Fort Worth looking for food and drinks. Ran across Dino's Den, next to Capones. Bar staff were amazing, welcoming, made great drinks! Tucked away in the same lot as Capone's pizza. I had a beer and a couple of drinks. This is the place you come to forget what ailes you. Soon as I walked in I heard Hello! Welcome. They have a decent bar. The bartender will make you your drink of choice. We asked her to be creative. She whipped up a rum cocktail. They have outdoor seating. It's unassuming with a subdued indoor and outdoor decor. My Guinness was $6.95. They have Monday steak night. They get a good crowd on Mondays the bartender told me. Nice spot. read more

Dinos is awesome, it's a total dive bar. You can go in through the front or if you park by the hobbit then you can go in through the back! The bartenders are food, but I'd recommend to keep your order simple bc depending on who's working, they may not be that experienced. They do have a kitchen and the food! I would say that it is awesome for a low key hang out. But if you are trying to get convenient parking you will cry. There is a secret burger that they only make once a week. Sheesh. It is heavenly! My boyfriend and I are new regulars here! The atmosphere alone is incredibly inviting and warm and then you meet the staff and it gets better. Andrew was our bartender on our first time in and he literally is the kindest soul. We also met the owner and she shared her pizza with us. General manager was a complete jerk to my friend and I tonight. We came out to support one of our fave bartemders (Sing) and for some reason this drunk woman started talking trash to my friend, then stated that she was the General manager!!! As a restaurant manager myself, in the company of a bar manager (my friend) I'm just completely shocked that any type of manager would behave that way, ESPECIALLY THE GENERAL MANAGER!!! Definitely has a neighborhood feel to it. It's a little hard to get to, but luckily I've only been on slow nights, as I've read the parking lot fills up quick. We usually park in the back, and we're almost always greeted by the owner's friendly dog, Luther. When we first saw him, we thought he was the bouncer! He was so adorable just sitting there patiently looking at people as they walked up, like he was on guard duty. When we first walked in, the bartender greeted us kindly, and laughed as she noticed Luther follow us in, saying "He always follows the girls in!" After a bunch of pets and hugs for Luther, I knew we would become regulars here. Debbie, as we learned her name is, made me a de-li-shus gimlet. Probably one of the best I've had. And she made my friend a rye old fashioned that he was thoroughly happy with, too. There are board games located in the back room, and a patio just passed the bar. We've never made it in time to catch anything from the kitchen, but I think it's safe to assume anything would be good there. This the wife's go to bar to catch up with friends when visiting Houston. The clan has been going here for years and under a couple of different names. Apparently ownership is back under a former owner that everyone loves. So, with that caveat, I think we were treated a little extra special! Excellent patio area with a nice TV and friendly wait staff. Everyone was very nice and we never had an empty glass. Very cool neighborhood bar! Really chill spot off of Richmond near Kirby, in the same parking lot as Capone's. I guess you could describe it as a dive bar. I went with my wife on a random Wednesday night, only 1 other couple in the bar (which was fine with us). The bartender was really nice, and they have board games to play. Took my dad here for father's day and was not disappointed. It is an eclectic group of patrons, mostly at least thirty years old and up. We went on a Monday night which is steak night. Parking can be tricky on weekend nights because of it being hidden in a group of a few restaurants but its worth it.Great layout with a front and a back patio. Big screens on both patios. There may be some inside but I stick to the patio usually. Manager Will is awesome and has serious culinary skills. Entire staff is attentive without being obnoxious. This place is everything you want out of a local bar. The first time I came here their service was good, but the next time they all remembered my name and what I drank. I came back and received the same service. What I didn't know is that they also serve food. I'm not talking about bar food. Tried the place on a whim, but have already returned & will continue to do so. May also be the best steak night of the many we have tried. Not just "after-thought" food to bring in drinkers, but an actual focus on food quality, with substantial portions. We entered through a restaurant and went towards the back of the parking lot and found it next to Hobbit Cafe. The bar was super super chill and everyone there was so nice and friendly. We got serviced pretty fast too. We ordered some drafts and a cocktail which were around $4-4.50 each. Not bad at all! As for the food, we had the steak specials since we came on Monday night. You have a choice between a ribeye and filet which comes with green beans and mashed potatoes. It was soooo good! The steak and green beans were well seasoned and the mashed potatoes were so creamy and it came with bacon! The only downside was that it was $20 for the filet, kinda expensive compared to other steak specials in the area.
