Wasn't sure what to expect from H Bar on date night. It's such a small bar in the Post Oak Hotel. But, my, oh my, it did not disappoint! We were lucky to scoop two stools up at the bar because it was so crowded! The bartenders were amazing! They were fast, cool, and just plain nice. It has a dimly-lit sexy vibe--perfect for date night. Music was great too. We people-watched and had a blast! They served us complimentary olives and cashews, which was perfect with our Eagle Rare whiskey. I can't wait to go back!

This is a nice upscale lounge. It had very dim/low light inside giving it a grown & sexy vibe. The crowd was mature and classy. It's open seating, first come first serve. I ordered 2 French 75s with Bombay and they were so good! French 75 is one of my favorite drinks and the handsome bartender who made mine knew what he was doing. I'd definitely recommend it here. I'll come back here when I'm back in town. Valet parking on a Saturday night was $15.

The H bar is luxury in the post oak hotel. It has that late night lounge vibe that comes alive after dinner and a good night out in Houston. There is usually a DJ on the weekends and the place can get busy with socialites and out of towners alike. It's a fun place to meet and hangout for a night cap for sure. The drinks can range in price and offers a full bar with all your fancies. I like the post oak margarita and it a mix of jamica, so it makes a good digestive as well. Kind of has a punchy flavor, but smooth as well. The crowd can be loud and annoying especially with an understaffed bar and limited seating, so best to get luck or know someone with a seat before you arrive. Famous people and awesome cars have been known to pull up at this place which is cool as well!

Literally felt like a queen at this establishment! Loved the vibe, loved the bar tenders and enjoyed the music. It's located inside hotel and across from an amazing restaurant week. I would suggest you visit this bar most during Houston Restaurant week. It really made my night. Order their lemon drop martini. Super delicious!

Came here on a weekend afternoon and had the French 75 (cognac, fresh lemon juice, champagne). We sat towards the back on the comfy and hip couch. The bartenders and servers were kind and knowledgeable, able to recommend things for us that were off-the-menu. We were immediately served some chips (amazing and addictive), nuts, and olives. We also ordered some apps - lava roll and lobster roll. The lava roll was comprised of avocado, shrimp, lobster, blue crab - loved it! Liked the fusion flare. The lobster roll is made of brioche, caviar, and chervil - was a bit on the small size, but definitely made up for lack of size with plenty of flavor!

Had a fun night with my girl the other night. we thought the bar was gonna close at 12 but instead they closed at 1 which was a pleasant surprise. i honestly didn't think the bar was gonna be packed but it was, and in fact we had to wait. but the wait wasn't long, just about 5min. while the place was packed, the service was great. we got our drinks on time and the server checked on us multiple times and she was friendly. i would def come back, it was a great night and the drinks were strong. i got a vodka sprite double and tequila shot which was perfect. parking: you can either valet or self-park. the valet guy was nice and pointed us to an empty parking spot next to valet, so we parked there and it was safe.

Located inside the Post Oak Hotel is this sophisticated, intimate bar and lounge. My partner and I came here for pre-dinner cocktails and a small bite and were immediately taken back in time. We ordered some espresso martinis and were so delighted with how creamy and delicious they were. I also enjoyed one of their Bellinis. To eat, we ordered a short rib slider and a California roll. The slider was a bit on the dry side but the flavors were delicious. The California roll was delicious and fresh. The ambience is very intimate and the service was wonderful. We really enjoyed our time here and plan to come back in the future.

This bar is located inside the ground level of the Post Oak Hotel. Reservations are possible, we have been there on a Friday and the place wasn't fully packed though. Service was average, it's nice that you can get food ordered and delivered from the steakhouse Mastro's next door. The seating is comfortable but the noise level is very high, communication is not easy. Valet parking available, no own parking possible.

The food was on point. I ordered a Gin and Ton no complaints. The service was to the T.

My crème brûlée with almond biscotti. Sorry I didn't get the sushi, I ate it too quickly. :)

It looked dark, clubbish, and fun (exactly what I was looking for) and I couldn't wait to come here. After a 25 minute Uber ride we were downtown and walking to our destination. At first we could not find it but thankfully a nice gentlemen showed us where it was. Upon walking in, darkness with these bright lights paved our way. We sat down at the bar, but realized dancing did not start until 10pm. The bartender came over and said to us "we have a speakasy behind door #3" we were like WHAT! Let's go. So, we walked down the dark hallway and pushed open door #3 (hence the name) to find this super cool speakeasy bar. Dim lights, really modern decor, comfy suede chairs and best of all, some really great cocktails. If you are ever in Downtown Houston, I highly recommend you coming here. I promise you will have the best time. We did not stay for dancing.

Service was amazing-- we loved our waiter who was a combination of polite, funny, and knowledgeable, and everyone gave us a smile. All the dishes were beautifully presented and flavorful but definitely on the heavier side. - Beet salad (5/5)-- wow, never had a beet salad like this one before! So much flavor with a tanginess from vinegar sweetened by the blueberries and beets. The beets didn't taste very earthy (aka like dirt) compared to most beet salad. This was really well executed :) - Caesar salad (3.5/5)-- Credence's spin on Caesar, which according to my Caesar salad pro diner, didn't really taste like Caesar salad. Also very tangy and tart but the pro still enjoyed it as a salad dish. - Roasted cabbage (4/5)-- big fan of the way they roasted this, perfect tenderness without being cabbage mush! Definitely a heavy dish, especially for a vegetable option, as it was swimming in a butter cream sauce that started to congeal as it cooled off. Would choose this more as an indulgent appetizer rather than a healthy veggie option. I wonder if one could ask for the sauce on the side... - Tuna tostada (3.5/5)-- if you like strong flavors, this one packs a punch. The gochujang aioli beneath the tuna is really concentrated, making it difficult to taste the actual tuna. There's a bit of heat but thankfully I wouldn't say it was spicy. Fun to try. The tostada itself was very dense and almost a bit bread-y versus a crispy chip texture. - Crab fried rice (4/5)-- comes with lobster foam that is mixed table side and a generous amount of crabmeat lumps. The rice actually had a nice texture without being too... grainy / individualized, but it was too salty for me. - Akaushi Wagyu beef (4.5/5)-- loved the texture which was tender but with some chew (was expecting more of a melt-in-the-mouth texture though) and the veggies that it came with. It was heavily salted, too much so for me. Would've been perfect with less salt since there's already a chimichurri sauce with it. - Peanut butter tart (4.5/5)-- peanut butter lovers rejoice! The chocolate filling was rich, thick, and sweet which was complemented nicely with the whipped cream (not sweet at all). The peanut flavor really shined. The crust didn't have much of a taste by itself and was sandy in texture, not sure if on purpose or over-baked and dried out. Either way, the tart looked impressive when it arrived and was delectable-- my favorite bite of the night! Overall a nice experience! Although there was a mess up and the rest of our two salads and crab rice wasn't packed with our other food to take home; I was pretty sad about that since it was quite a bit of food (and $$). I might return for that peanut butter tart, but everything else was too heavy and too salty for me. I'm personally not a huge butter fan, but if you are, definitely make a reservation for a special occasion or date!

Giorgio's is one of two restaurants located in the beautiful Hotel Granduca across from Uptown Park. This is a very nice and upscale property with both valet and self parking available. When I made the reservation I initially chose inside dining but after arriving we decided to take advantage of their offer to sit outside to take advantage of their lovely patio by the pool and the very pleasant outdoor temperature that evening after a nice rain. We were seated near the door where the pianist was playing nice music inside that allowed us to enjoy it. Giorgio's HRW 3 course dinner this year was $39 and I ordered the Burrata Panzanella Salad as my first course followed by Cavatelli Bolognese for the second finishing with the Flourless Chocolate Cake for the third. While waiting we were brought some bread along with trays of peanuts, potato chips and popcorn which was a little unusual but no one complained about free food. I must say that all of my 3 courses were excellent tasting. The Burrata salad had a large serving of the above named cheese with fresh tomatoes, olives and ciabatta bread that was cool in temperature and I could have eaten another serving because it was so good. The pasta bolognese was equally delicious except warm in temperature with the Akaushi beef making a delicious bolognese sauce over the cavatelli. Finally the cake was fresh and full of chocolate flavor with berries and Nutella alongside a scoop of rich vanilla ice cream. This was a perfect finish for what was a fine meal. The outdoor setting was also perfect and one that I wouldn't hesitate to repeat. So why do I only give 4 stars? For some reason not understood by anyone in our party was the fact that this entire experience took us 3 hours from being seated to paying the checks for our 3 course dinners. They didn't appear to be too busy that night so I'm not sure why it took so long. Our group did enjoy our time together and filled it with good conversation but still this dinner should have taken at least 1 hour less. Friday after work during happy hour and the prices could not be beat, especially with their lobster bites (was sitting at about $30, and we got them half off!) Drinks were fantastic! I selected the "Golden Cadillac" that comes with a miniature bottle of Grand Marnier inside of it. Very good. My company decided on an array of appetizers for his "main course", while I went with their Fried Salmon (served with Mac and cheese, and collard greens). Omg! So tasty! The pepper was prevalent throughout, but it did not over power the flavor! I make collard greens at home (and learned from one of the best), and even I found theirs to be pretty good! My company selected fried ribs, along with the lobster bites, and crawfish queso dip, and their wings! I tasted what he got, and we both agreed that the wings were "off the chart" delicious with a beautiful straight off the grill smoky flavor! So good that he got another order to go! Lol. What made our experience there amazing was our server Ray (Rajean = think "the 90's TV Show "Living Single"..."smooches"!)...she was the best!! From her hello, to walking us through the menu (as first-timers), her recommendations, her energy, her smile, and her being very relatable. Loved her! My only gripe was the bathrooms, the ladies room needed attention (and could use a spruce all around). It doesn't help that it is a bit small, but yeah, they need to focus some efforts on ensuring it's upkeep. As for seating and parking, there is a bar area and limited seating toward the front of the restaurant, but it does extend to back of the house with additional seating. There is also patio seating as well. Because this place seems popular, it is best to reserve ahead to ensure your seating. Parking is very limited! They do however, offer valet (but at $20+). There is off-street parking, but be careful since this is a residential area and nothing is secure. All in all, I really had a great time and left with my belly full! Definitely worth checking out! What was lost is now found! Enjoy!
